NXT Heatwave 2026 AAA Double Header

WWE will run NXT Heatwave and Lucha Libre AAA as a single-admission double-header at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas on Sunday, August 30. The shows take place on the same day as All Elite Wrestling’s biggest pay-per-view of the year, AEW: All In London from Wembley Stadium.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 8 at 10am CT through AXS.com. A presale window opens Tuesday, July 7 at 10am CT, and fans can register for presale access at wwe.com/aaa-nxt-texas.

The day starts with Lucha Libre AAA at 11am CT. WWE lists El Grande Americano, La Parka, La Catalina, Mr. Iguana, El Hijo del Vikingo, Omos, Psycho Clown, El Hijo Dr. Wagner Jr., and Galeno del Mal among the advertised names. The AAA show streams on YouTube in the U.S. and airs on FOX across Mexico, Central America, and South America, excluding Brazil.

NXT Heatwave follows immediately after. The premium live event airs at 3pm ET exclusively on The CW in the U.S. and on Netflix internationally.

Tony Khan’s Reaction

AEW President Tony Khan addressed this situation at last night’s AEW Forbidden Door post-show media scrum. When asked about WWE’s latest attempt to counter-program its shows, Khan says he takes it as a compliment, and referenced the fact that WWE has been pulling these tactics for nearly 40 years.

“It’s double the compliment Jimmy [Crockett] got. Twice as nice as they were to Jimmy. I’ll be sure to take it that way, and I think we’re gonna have a great All In. It’s gonna be the biggest night in AEW.

I can’t speak to what the other promotions are doing, but I did see that announcement. I saw that with our own show going on tonight, so not a lot I can do other than hope we have a very good show and plan and prepare that we will have a good show for AEW All In: London.”
