Indi Hartwell has commented on WWE micromanagement.

The TNA star recently had an interview with Studio 1 Sports Channel to promote the company’s Denver tapings. She talked about things such as Australia’s greatest export, being a fan of Trish Stratus and more.

During the talk, the former WWE star also compared the creative freedom of TNA to that of her previous employers. Indi Hartwell explained that she is still trying to get used to the freedom offered in her current home after the rigorous micromanaging of NXT:

“I’d obviously heard how much creative freedom you have at TNA, but it’s something that I’m still trying to get used to. Like you mentioned, at WWE things are very micromanaged, especially at NXT because at NXT you’re kind of learning the ropes. So every step is intentional. Everything is micromanaged.”

There’s Still More to Come: Indi Hartwell

Indi Hartwell was part of the NXT roster from 2019 to 2023. She was a member of The Way Faction in the brand, and the female star is remembered for her romantic storyline with Dexter Lumis. She was moved to the main roster in the 2023 Draft but was released from her contract a year later.

The Australian star further claimed that the micromanagement in WWE killed her creativity, and she is still trying to find it:

“It’s something that I’m not really used to. I feel like that kind of made my creativity go away, so I’m still trying to find it. It’s only been a year. You could look at a year and think that’s a long time, but in reality, I’ve been wrestling for 10 years. So the past year at TNA is only 10% of my career. There’s still more to come, still more to learn, and more to grow.”

The former NXT Women’s Champion joined TNA in April 2024. She is featured regularly in the company but is yet to win any titles in the promotion.
