Sheamus has shared photos on Instagram showing a head wound he suffered during a gym accident, the latest setback for the WWE star who has been sidelined since November.

The 48-year-old posted two photos — one taken immediately after the incident and one showing the open wound. No details about the nature of the accident have been provided.

Sheamus last competed in November when he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio against Judgment Day on Raw before being pulled from the Last Time Is Now tournament due to a shoulder injury. He underwent shoulder surgery in December and has been working toward a return, with photos from the WWE Performance Center last week suggesting he was close to being cleared.

The Dublin native is a four-time world champion in WWE — three-time WWE Champion and one-time World Heavyweight Champion — as well as a three-time United States Champion and five-time tag team champion. He also holds the distinction of winning the 2010 King of the Ring tournament, the 2012 Royal Rumble, and the 2015 Money in the Bank ladder match, making him one of only two wrestlers after Edge to achieve all three accomplishments.

Sheamus has missed the last three WrestleMania cards due to a combination of injuries and creative situations.
