Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins recently said that the bad blood between himself and CM Punk is genuine, and he does not expect it to go away anytime soon.

Speaking on Prince Street Pizza’s Pizza Talks, Rollins gave his most candid on-record acknowledgement yet that the friction with Punk runs deeper than any WWE storyline.

Asked directly about the state of their relationship, Rollins did not soften it.

“There’s certainly some bad blood there,” Rollins said.

The two have traded shots both on and off WWE television for years, and their issues have grown into one of the promotion’s most personal rivalries. Rollins made clear the animosity is not confined to the scripts.

Seth Rollins Doubts The Relationship Can Be Repaired

When the conversation turned to whether things could ever be patched up, Rollins offered little optimism.

“I think it would be a tough relationship to repair,” Rollins said.

The comments line up with the escalating heat both wrestlers have shown publicly. Rollins has previously gone after Punk in interviews, including when he demanded Punk be gone from his “windspace” and when he accused Punk of having tried to tear down WWE.

The animosity has run both ways. Punk has also taken massive shots at Rollins, reinforcing that the tension between the two is mutual rather than one-sided.
