Paul Wight says he is starting to see real results from his weight loss journey as he works toward a return to the AEW ring, sharing a new gym progress photo on Instagram as he closes in on his target of 350 pounds.

Wight posted the update alongside a message to his followers.

“Starting to see real results. Today is better than yesterday. I’m on my way to being a super model! Jokes aside grateful to be able to push myself this hard after 11 surgeries.”

The former Big Show, 54, has not competed in over two years. He told Insight with Chris Van Vliet earlier this year that his return depends entirely on whether he can get into good enough shape to add to the AEW product.

“There are certain things that I can do that will still give a little kickback to nostalgia, will still look like a big dangerous giant that is my character, and teach. But at the same time, if it looks like, ‘Oh, put a bullet in,’ well, I’m not going to do that. So that’s what all this hard work now is. What’s the one thing that I can really control? That’s conditioning and weight.”

Wight recently signed a new deal with AEW, where he also works commentary, community outreach, and media appearances. He has named Kenny Omega and Darby Allin as dream opponents.
