The National Wrestling Alliance has set a return date for its all-women’s showcase: NWA EmPowerrr is reportedly booked for Friday, August 28th at the Sevierville Civic Center in Sevierville, Tennessee. The event will be produced by Kenzie and Kylie Paige’s Kross Fire promotion, marking a new steward for the historic branding.
Per the NWA’s announcement, the show will stream live and free on the NWA YouTube channel starting at 8:00 PM ET. The date, venue, ticketing, and production details come from the NWA directly and have not been independently corroborated.
EmPowerrr is the NWA’s all-women’s event branding, first staged in 2021 as part of the promotion’s anniversary weekend. That inaugural card drew talent from across the industry and featured Kia Stevens, better known as Awesome Kong, and Gail Kim.
Corgan Hands EmPowerrr To The Paige Sisters
NWA President William Patrick Corgan framed the return around the two women producing it. Kenzie and Kylie Paige, both champions within the promotion, own and operate Kross Fire and booked the card themselves.
“The inspiration for NWA EmPowerrr was always about providing a platform for those who need to be heard from, and loudly,” Corgan said in the release. “And who better than Kylie and Kenzie Paige, NWA champions in their own right, to steward and promote the return of this historic event as the owner-operators of Kross Fire Wrestling.”
The handoff follows Corgan’s earlier public commitment to the brand. He had previously pushed back on reports that EmPowerrr was finished, stating flatly that the NWA would “definitely run another Empowerrr Pay Per View.” He confirmed plans for a future EmPowerrr event before this date was locked in.
Tickets And Fan Experience
The NWA says tickets are on sale through Events.com, with general admission priced at $20 and the first two rows of ringside seating at $25. Tickets will also be available at the door on the day of the show.
Fans attending live get an early look when doors open at 7:00 PM ET. The pre-show experience includes a live podcast, an interactive fan Q&A, and a meet-and-greet with Kylie and Kenzie Paige before the bell.
The NWA has positioned the return as a continuation of the event’s original mission, which first spotlighted the women’s division in 2021. That debut is remembered in part for Awesome Kong announcing her retirement from wrestling on NWA EmPowerrr. A full card for the August 28th show has not yet been revealed.
