MJF captured the AEW World Championship at Double Or Nothing on Sunday night, defeating Darby Allin in a hair vs. title match at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

The match began dramatically when Allin clipped the ropes on an early dive attempt and landed badly on his neck. MJF immediately targeted the injured area throughout the bout.

Key sequences included Allin hitting a stunner off the middle rope, a piledriver from MJF on the ring steps, and MJF’s diving stomp to Allin’s arm. Allin locked in the sharpshooter at one point, as did MJF later in the match, with Allin passing out in the hold before escaping. MJF pulled a cameraman into the path of an Allin dive at ringside. Allin eventually hit a coffin drop off the top of the stage, leaving him bleeding from the back of his head.

The finish came when Allin went for a coffin drop from the top rope, but MJF knocked him down and delivered a tombstone off the middle rope before securing the pinfall with a side takeover.

MJF wins the AEW World Championship for the third time in his career.
