MJF has entered the ongoing AEW and TNA dispute publicly, calling out TNA President Carlos Silva for lying just hours before Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite in Fairfax, Virginia.
The exchange was triggered by Silva’s appearance on Busted Open Radio, where he addressed the backlash over TNA pulling its talent from independent shows that would have featured matches against AEW wrestlers. Silva stated that other parties had previously prevented TNA from running certain venues and arenas, a claim MJF wasted no time addressing on X.
“I think it’s cool that you can just lie. My turn.”
He followed that up with a statement dripping in sarcasm that took simultaneous shots at his upcoming opponent and the current AEW World Champion.
“I think Kevin Knight has a shot at beating me at 8pm sharp and I also think Darby Allin is a GREAT champion.”
The timing of the post, arriving just before the Dynamite broadcast, kept the AEW and TNA tension in the headlines heading into the show.
