John Cena will make a major announcement at WWE Backlash 2026 that he promises will have a massive impact across the company.
In a post on social media, Cena hyped that the announcement will affect everyone in WWE – the news will “shock the very foundation of WWE, from its fans to its superstars, from its champions down to its rookies.”
The 16-time world champion confirmed he will be in Tampa for Backlash 2026 in partnership with Club WWE.
Cena last appeared during both nights of WrestleMania 42. That marked his first WWE appearance since his retirement match against GUNTHER on December 13.
WWE has not revealed any details about what Cena plans to announce at Backlash 2026. The Premium Live Event takes place in Tampa in just a few days.
