John Cena is now being advertised for WWE Backlash on May 9 in Tampa. The official event listing on the Benchmark International Arena page confirms Cena’s appearance.
The arena website’s WWE Backlash event page reads, “WWE RETURNS TAMPA WITH THE FIRST PREMIUM LIVE EVENT AFTER WRESTLEMANIA 42! JOHN CENA RETURNS TO TAMPA AT BACKLASH!” alongside the rest of the advertised card.
WWE Backlash 2026 will stream live in the U.S. on ESPN starting at 6 p.m. ET.
