  • Triple H: Logan Paul Is More Than a Celebrity Wrestler

Logan Paul was already a prominent celebrity before signing with WWE in 2022, and his mainstream appeal has transitioned smoothly into his wrestling career. While many still view Paul as a celebrity-turned-wrestler, WWE\’s Chief Content Officer Triple H believes it\’s time for that perception to change.

At the post-Backlash press conference, Triple H was asked about celebrity involvement in wrestling. When the journalist mentioned Logan Paul alongside Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, and Pat McAfee, Triple H clarified his perspective.

\”I don\’t put Logan in that group [of celebrity wrestlers.] I don\’t see Logan as now, the outside celebrity that came in to do what we do. He\’s really good at this… [He] had a name and was a celebrity walking in the door, but delivers on it in a way where he\’s like a full-time performer. I don\’t see him in that celebrity vein, I just see him as an incredible performer.\”

Paul has competed in 20 WWE matches, with his most recent victory coming against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 41. He’ll look to continue his winning streak when he challenges World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

  • Triple H Gives Update on Drew McIntyre After Injury Scare

WWE Backlash 2025 opened with an epic four-way that saw Jacob Fatu retain the U.S. Championship against LA Knight, Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest. After the match, it was reported that McIntyre was potentially hurt during this title match.

On the WWE Backlash post-show press conference, Paul \’Triple H\’ Levesque spoke about the match.

\”Luckily everyone is healthy. I think Priest got a tooth that he\’s hoping will stay inside his head for a couple of days and get solid again. But other than that, Drew McIntyre, little banged up but totally fine.\”

The United States title is the only piece of gold keeping McIntyre from the Grand Slam, a similar fate to his friend Sheamus and the Intercontinental gold. While time will tell if he ever holds the gold, fans can expect McIntyre back in the ring soon enough despite the injury scare.

  • John Cena Attacks R-Truth On WWE Backlash Post-Show

John Cena retained the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash 2025, defeating Randy Orton in the show\’s main event. Cena finished off his rival with his Attitude Adjustment, but the last real champion had one AA left in him after the show.

Cena would\’ve lost the gold to Orton if not for R-Truth, who prevented the Viper from using his dreaded punt kick. On the post-Backlash press conference, Truth interrupted Cena, who had spoken about wanting to do better with his handling of the media. Cena did not take kindly to Truth\’s interruption, or Truth bringing up the \”you can\’t wrestle\” chant aimed at Cena by the fans. Cena would hit the AA on Truth to end the press conference without answering a single question.

Truth has remained loyal to Cena, even in the face of John\’s shocking heel turn. Now, this attack may be what finally makes Truth realize that the John of 2025 is not the \’childhood hero\’ Truth has supported for years.

  • Jacob Fatu Shares Surprise At Jeff Cobb\’s WWE Debut

At WWE Backlash, U.S. Champion Jacob Fatu retained his title, thanks to the assistance of Solo Sikoa and the debuting Jeff Cobb. After the match, Fatu was visibly confused by Cobb\’s arrival, suggesting that Solo had not informed the U.S. Champion about his plan.

Speaking on the post-WWE Backlash press conference, Fatu was asked for his thoughts on Cobb\’s debut and made clear that his surprise was genuine.

\”You\’ve seen the look on my face. There\’s nothing that I can explain, there\’s nothing that I can say even if I wanted to. At the end of the day, we\’re still just trying to figure everything out.\”

On the SmackDown before Backlash, Sikoa was concerned that the Bloodline was out of \’soldiers\’ though Fatu was uninterested in making a gameplan. Now, the Bloodline has another \’soldier\’ in its ranks, though the issues between Solo and Jacob may be far from over.

  • Logan Paul Vs. Jey Uso Set for WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso will put the gold on the line against Logan Paul in a matter of weeks, it has been confirmed. During WWE Backlash 2025, it was confirmed that Paul will challenge for the title at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event on May 24.

For Paul, this will be his third opportunity to become a WWE World Champion. The Maverick came up short against Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel 2022 and Cody Rhodes at Night of Champions 2024, both times challenging for the Undisputed WWE Championship.

Paul and Jey have been building their feud both on and off WWE cameras. After the May 5, edition of WWE Raw, Paul attacked Uso, making clear his desire to be the next World Heavyweight Champion. Now, Paul will get his chance to do just that at Saturday Night\’s Main Event.

John Cena\’s dream to ruin wrestling and leave WWE as champion is alive and well after retaining the Undisputed WWE Championship at Backlash. In the show\’s main event, Cena retained against Randy Orton, renewing one of WWE\’s biggest rivalries.

Neither man held back in Orton\’s hometown of St. Louis and multiple referees were taken out of action along the way. The finish saw R-Truth get involved and prevent Orton from punting Cena. The 17-time WWE World Champion capitalized by hitting Orton with a low blow before getting the victory.

Cena won the match but he wasn\’t finished yet. Grabbing the microphone after the match, Cena declared that he doesn\’t need the fans but he needs competition. Cena ended the show by once again declaring that he is the last real champion WWE will ever see.

While WWE had promoted the match as \”one last time,\” Michael Cole claimed during the event that the match \”could be the final time these guys ever go one-on-one.\” It remains to be seen if Orton will get another shot at Cena who remains hungry for competition.

  • Kenny Omega Beats Xavier Woods At PAX, Rematch Teased

AEW\’s Kenny Omega once again proved his gaming credentials by beating WWE\’s Xavier Woods at Capcom Fighting Collection 2. The pair of wrestlers battled for the UpUpDownDown Championship, a creation of Woods, at the PAX video gaming event.

Though Omega won, he said that he didn\’t want the title, as all he wanted was to see the look on Woods\’ face when he lost. The wrestling gamers then agreed to meet again with the same stakes on the line.

    https://twitter.com/PAXArena/status/1921304274090197091

  • Michael Cole Makes Naming Botch On WWE Backlash Pre-Show

Michael Cole is a veteran of WWE broadcasting, but even seasoned professionals can have an off night. During the WWE Backlash pre-show, Cole made a notable slip while speaking with Big E and Wade Barrett—accidentally referring to Barrett as \”Stu,\” using his real name on air.

Barrett joined Cole on commentary for Backlash, filling in for Pat McAfee, who was unavailable for the event. Rather than taking his usual spot at the announcer\’s desk, McAfee is set to face GUNTHER during the Premium Live Event.

Barrett made his WWE main roster debut in 2010 during the inaugural season of the original NXT, adopting the ring name fans have recognized ever since. He quickly rose to prominence as the leader of The Nexus and later became a multi-time Intercontinental Champion—making Cole’s on-air mistake all the more awkward.

Despite the unscripted disruption, Cena remained composed and even referenced the incident during his in-ring promo, demonstrating his ability to adapt on the fly.

Footage of the fan surfaced on social media shortly after the incident. Security promptly escorted the individual out of the venue amid loud boos from the crowd. The swift removal reflected WWE\’s no-tolerance policy toward fans who physically interfere with talent.

While Cena currently plays a heel character, this incident reminded fans that certain lines should never be crossed. As of now, it is unclear whether any charges have been filed, but WWE’s immediate response underscored its commitment to performer safety during live events.

  • A.J. Francis Claims WWE Heat Over Creative Diss Tracks

TNA\’s A.J. Francis was part of WWE for years during two runs with the company as Hit Row\’s Top Dolla. Now, Francis has opened up about his WWE experience, claiming he got \’heat\’ backstage for trying to share his creative side.

\”I’m the brother that kicked you in your head and helps you remember who you are. One Jordan to the side of your dome. And you went from Max Dupri to LA Knight. Boy, I made you. The least I could get is a thank you.\”

Francis\’ claim sparks conversations about WWE\’s control over its talent, especially after reports that Karrion Kross has been funding his own promos. While much in WWE has changed since Vince McMahon\’s exit, Francis remains angry that his efforts to benefit his own career only earned him heat backstage.

During an appearance on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Bischoff was asked to weigh in on the controversy. According to Bischoff, Hogan frequently goes out of his way to be kind, especially to minorities and underprivileged children.

\”I’ve paid attention to how he treats people. I’ve seen him go out of his way to make others feel valued, especially minorities or underprivileged kids, particularly in environments where you can tell they may feel overlooked or excluded. I’ve watched him make time for everyone.\”

Bischoff said that Hogan\’s biggest flaw is that he\’s \”loyal to a fault\” and claimed the Hulkster has \”been burned by some of the people closest to him.\” Bischoff, who is working with Hogan with his new wrestling promotion, hopes fans judge Hogan for more than just one night.

\”I just hope people judge him by his actions over time, not by one night when he was hammered, chasing vodka because he was in so much pain. And for the record, a lot of that was prescribed. If you saw the list of what he was prescribed back then and the amounts, you’d understand.\”

In closing, Bischoff encouraged people to consider the entirety of Hulk Hogan’s character and history, rather than defining him solely by his offensive remarks. It remains to be seen if the Hulkster is ever truly forgiven, or if these racist remarks, among other controversies, continue to haunt the wrestling icon.

  • Ex-WWE Star Details Sneaking Into AEW Collision\’s Backstage Area

Maven Huffman was a name on WWE programming for years but recently was spotted behind the scenes at All Elite Wrestling. Fans speculated that Maven\’s appearance backstage at AEW Collision signaled a new role with the company—but the truth was far less official: he snuck in.

On his YouTube channel, Maven shared how he managed to get backstage at an AEW Collision taping despite not having an invite. The first obstacle—getting into the building—was surprisingly easy. His plan? “Act like you belong.” It worked on a parking lot guard, and just like that, Maven was in.

“I’m not booked for this show. Hell, I’m not even on AEW’s payroll, so I have no clue what’s going to happen. The one thing I do know is you’re coming along for the ride… I’m a firm believer that if you simply act like you belong, some people—it’ll win them over… I can’t believe that worked.”

Maven hoped to meet some of the talent, with his ultimate goal being a face-to-face with Tony Khan. Along the way, he spotted Billy Gunn cutting a pre-taped promo and reunited with his WrestleMania X8 adversary, Dustin Rhodes.

“The guy who carried me through my first WrestleMania! It’s good to see you, brother. Thank you again. I’m going to thank you for the rest of my days.”

After Gunn wrapped up his promo, “Daddy Ass” caught up with Maven. Like many others, Maven was amazed at how Gunn continues to defy age.

“How in the hell he looks better now than he did in 2002 when I first started working with him, I’ll never know. The man is ageless, and somehow he’s added more muscle. He looks great. He’s in high spirits. Obviously, you can tell he’s happy at the home he found here in AEW.”

Maven also took a nostalgic detour through catering, reminiscing about his go-to post-match treat: a pulled pork sandwich. He later connected with Thunder Rosa, calling her one of his favorite gimmicks in wrestling today. The two teased a possible collaboration on Maven’s YouTube channel.

His visit continued as he bumped into fellow Tough Enough alum Josh Mathews, noting, “Word had spread that I’m here.” After quick encounters with Scotty 2 Hotty and a “scissoring” moment with Anthony Bowens, Maven finally got to meet Tony Khan.

“Thanks for coming. You’re welcome anytime… I hope this is the first of many.”

Though Maven’s entrance into AEW Collision was unorthodox, he left with his head held high. Two decades after his WWE run, it’s clear the wrestling world still has plenty of love for the first Tough Enough winner.

On X, fka, Twitter, Tony Khan shared thay Gowen will have the chance to get payback during the AEW Dynamite: Beach Break on May 14.

Though Gowen\’s time with WWE ended in 2004, he has remained a part of the wrestling world. His upcoming match will mark Zach\’s first match since October 2024. Will Gowen rise to the occassion, or will Ricochet once again get the upper hand on the one-legged wrestler? Time will tell…

  • Saraya Reveals AEW Storyline Pitch She Refused, Why She Said No

Speaking on her Rulebreakers podcast, Saraya shared that AEW once wanted her to be part of a love story with Daddy Magic but turned the idea down.

\”I’ve managed to go my whole career without doing a love storyline. I wasn’t going to start now.\”

At the time, Saraya had a boyfriend and didn’t feel right kissing someone else, even if it was just for show, and shared that it’s the only storyline she’s ever refused. Saraya added that no one had ever asked her to do something like that before AEW and while she likes Daddy Magic and believes he’s a good guy, she just didn’t feel right about the idea.

\”There’s not really any other storyline I’ve turned down. It’s just that if I have to kiss someone and I have a boyfriend, I don’t think it’s appropriate.\”

Saraya’s AEW exit led many fans to speculate on a potential return to WWE, with the former Paige herself teasing that a return could come. As for how Saraya’s second potential run with WWE will go, only time will tell, but there are clearly some lines that the Brit won’t cross, even if the kiss was just a part of the show.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Taylor reflected on the challenges she faced earlier in life, including a period she described as being \”luxury homeless,\” when she was sleeping in her car. A drummer for 18 years, Taylor eventually found help from an unexpected source: the Osbourne family.

“Kelly’s just like, ‘Mom, Dad, Alicia is staying with us.’ Sharon’s like, ‘Okay. Show her the room upstairs.\”

Taylor stayed with the rock family for some time as she got herself back on her feet. Even decades later, the bond between the two sides is strong as Taylor shared that she has nothing bad to say about the family.

The Osbournes didn’t just offer Taylor a place to stay—they played a pivotal role in launching her entertainment career. Wanting to move away from the music industry, Taylor shifted her focus to another passion: professional wrestling. She began interviewing wrestling talent, quickly landing conversations with legends.

Impressed by her interviews, Rhino recommended her for a WWE audition. As Taylor noted, \”here we are, six-and-a-half years later,\” a clear testament to the success of that referral.

Today, Alicia Taylor is a familiar presence on WWE television, announcing weekly and living the dream of many wrestling fans.

  • WWE Acquires 51% Controlling Stake in AAA (Report)

WWE\’s acquisition of AAA has reached a significant milestone, as the promotion is now reported to hold a majority stake in the company.
