  • Stephanie Vaquer vs. Tiffany Stratton Set for WWE Crown Jewel 2025 in Australia

WWE Crown Jewel 2025 will feature a blockbuster Women’s Crown Jewel Championship match between Stephanie Vaquer and Tiffany Stratton on October 11, 2025, at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.

The champion vs. champion bout was set after Tiffany Stratton successfully retained her WWE Women’s Championship on SmackDown in a triple threat match against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill. Following her victory, Stratton immediately confronted WWE Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer to close the show, setting up this highly anticipated clash.

The Women’s Crown Jewel Championship follows the same format as last year’s event, where the top women’s champions from each brand compete for brand supremacy and the honorary title.

Both competitors enter the match with considerable momentum. Vaquer captured her Women’s World Championship by defeating IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza, while Stratton’s recent triple threat victory showcased her championship credentials against top-tier competition.

The match is positioned as one of the marquee bouts for Crown Jewel 2025, promising a top-tier clash between two of WWE’s brightest rising stars on an international stage. With both champions representing the peak of their respective brands, this encounter will determine who claims the prestigious Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.????????????????

  • Ash by Elegance Vacates TNA Knockouts Championship at Victory Road

TNA Knockouts Champion Ash by Elegance delivered a shocking announcement at Victory Road, vacating her championship without providing a specific reason for her decision.

The evening began with uncertainty as the scheduled title defense against Masha Slamovich was canceled due to ongoing internal investigations regarding domestic violence allegations against Slamovich. TNA President Carlos Silva and Santino Marella were present in the ring when Ash by Elegance made her unexpected revelation.

\”I am no longer able to compete and am vacating the Knockouts Championship,\” Ash announced, leaving fans and officials stunned by the abrupt decision.

    https://x.com/thisistna/status/1971748207240647145?s=46

TNA quickly restructured the evening\’s card to address the sudden vacancy. The Knockouts Tag Team Title match was moved to next week\’s iMPACT episode, replaced by a Knockouts Battle Royale to determine the new champion. The tournament format saw the final two competitors advance to compete for the vacant title later in the evening.

The battle royale concluded with Lei Ying Lee and NXT\’s Kelani Jordan emerging as the final two competitors, setting up an intriguing cross-promotional championship match. Jordan\’s participation highlights the continued collaboration between TNA and WWE\’s developmental brand.

The championship vacancy creates immediate uncertainty in TNA\’s women\’s division, with fans speculating about the circumstances surrounding Ash by Elegance\’s decision to relinquish the title.

  • AJ Styles Reveals 2026 Retirement Plans

WWE superstar AJ Styles has officially announced his retirement plans for 2026, revealing that next month\’s WWE Super Show Japan will mark his final performances in the country that helped define his career.

In an interview with Tokyo Sports, the 48-year-old \”Phenomenal One\” confirmed his intention to retire, likely at WrestleMania 2026 in Las Vegas.

\”I think it will probably be in WrestleMania, but it has not been confirmed yet,\” Styles explained. \”The details are undecided, but there is no doubt that I will retire within the next year.\”

The upcoming WWE Super Show Japan events on October 17-18 at Ryogoku Kokugikan hold special significance as Styles\’ farewell to Japanese wrestling fans. \”I think this will probably be the last game in Japan, so I\’m really looking forward to it,\” he stated.

The Reason AJ Styles is Retiring

Styles cited physical preservation as his primary motivation:

\”I don\’t want to show my fans that I\’m not AJ Styles. That\’s the main reason. I decided to retire before my body couldn\’t move.\”

The announcement coincides with fellow New Japan alumnus Hiroshi Tanahashi\’s planned retirement at Tokyo Dome on January 4, 2025. Styles praised his former rival, saying, \”Tanahashi is a really great player, and I don\’t think there are many players who have contributed to the industry so much.\”

After retirement, Styles indicated interest in remaining with WWE in a training capacity to develop future talent.

  • Drew McIntyre Cast in Highlander Reboot Alongside Dave Bautista

Drew McIntyre has officially been cast in Amazon MGM Studios’ Highlander reboot from United Artists, directed by Chad Stahelski, where he will star opposite Dave Bautista and Henry Cavill as Angus MacLeod, the brother of Cavill’s character, MacLeod. This news was first reported by Rosy Cordero for Deadline.

The movie is expected to modernize the Highlander mythos, adding new dynamics with the MacLeod brothers storyline.

This marks a major Hollywood role for McIntyre, who is a two-time WWE Champion and has previously acted alongside Dave Bautista. The cast also includes Russell Crowe, Marisa Abela, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, and Max Zhang.

Drew McIntyre’s casting alongside Henry Cavill in Highlander brings a high-profile wrestling star into a major film franchise, elevating both the reboot and McIntyre’s profile beyond WWE.

The screenplay is written by Michael Finch and reimagines the 1986 cult classic Highlander, which originally centered on immortal warriors battling through centuries.

Filming was set to begin soon, but production is now anticipated to start in early 2026 after Henry Cavill sustained an injury during pre-production.

  • AEW Files \’Bacon Brawl\’ Trademarks

On September 24, 2025, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) filed new trademark applications with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for “Bacon Brawl” and “AEW Bacon Brawl.” These filings cover a broad spectrum of potential goods and services, hinting at big plans ahead for the unique name.

The goods and services description includes: “Non-electric cookware, namely, pots, pans, and dishes; Flatware being plates and saucers; Drinkware; Cups; Mugs; Utensils for barbecues, namely, forks, tongs, turners; Kitchen containers. Shirts; Pants; T-shirts; Sweatshirts; Shorts; Headwear; Footwear; Socks; Undergarments. Prepared meals consisting primarily of meat, fish, poultry or vegetables.”

At present, the trademark status is live and awaiting review by a USPTO examining attorney. AEW’s broad application suggests “Bacon Brawl” could be used for a new match concept, line of merchandise, or a special event—especially as it aligns with their tradition of themed shows and fan engagement initiatives.

AEW has a history of introducing eccentric match types, like the Stadium Stampede and Anarchy in the Arena, fueling theories that a “Bacon Brawl” match or segment could soon become part of AEW programming.

  • WWE Files Trademark Application for \”INVASION\”

On September 24, 2025, WWE filed a new trademark application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for the name INVASION. The filing covers a wide range of entertainment services typical of WWE trademarks, including wrestling exhibitions and performances delivered live, on television, radio, and through digital media.

Currently, the trademark status is live and awaiting assignment to a USPTO examining attorney. WWE’s application signals potential future use of the INVASION name in upcoming wrestling events, programming, or merchandise.

WWE’s new trademark for “INVASION” is noteworthy, as the company previously used the name for the memorable 2001 WWF Invasion pay-per-view event, which featured talent from WCW and ECW in a major storyline crossover. Today, WWE operates multiple successful brands, including Raw, SmackDown, and NXT, has recently partnered with AAA, and maintains an active working relationship with TNA, further expanding its global wrestling footprint.

  • Jazmyn Nyx Issues Statement Explaining WWE Departure

Former WWE NXT star Jazmyn Nyx (Jade Gentile) has broken her silence following her recent exit from the company, sharing a heartfelt statement with fans and colleagues. In a video message posted on her Tik Tok, Nyx expressed gratitude for her time in WWE and cited personal reasons behind her decision to move on.

She reflected on her journey with the company, acknowledged the support from the WWE Universe, and expressed excitement for the new opportunities ahead in her career.

    Why Jazmyn Nyx Left WWE

\”As you know, there\’s been things circulating and I kind of want to just set the record straight that I am not resigning with WWE. This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and for my future. Personally, the contract that they were offering me for the next three years just wasn\’t going to cut it for me financially. And that\’s okay.

    @jade_gentile

Some of you may of heard the news already but here’s the full truth ??? #fyp??viral #wwe #wrestling #storytime #jazmynnyx

? original sound – Jade Gentile

I kind of just wanted to give a backstory of everything. I was playing professional soccer in Iceland and then I got recruited obviously to WWE, which I left everything out there to come here for this opportunity, which I\’m very, very grateful for. I was kind of held back a little in the beginning. I had four knee surgeries, so I had to recover and rebuild my knees in order to step in the ring. And as some of you know, I broke my nose—that\’s why I was wearing the mask. I had other injuries, concussions that kind of kept me out of TV for a little bit.

I will say that there\’s been a lot of opportunities that I\’ve had to turn down and pass up, but now that I am out of the job, I can kind of explore these opportunities more and take them more seriously.

Love my Jasmine Nyx fans. Thank you guys so much for supporting me and having my back for the past three years. It\’s been an amazing journey and I will miss you guys. And yeah, that is it for Jasmine Nyx. So, thank you guys for watching and I love you guys so, so much.\”

  • Kenny Omega Throws Shade at WWE Legends Over Saudi Arabia Events

AEW star Kenny Omega stirred the pot on social media today with a post that appears to take a shot at wrestling legends who have chosen to participate in WWE’s Saudi Arabia events. In his tweet, Omega wrote:

“Another day and another ‘legend’ doing the splits on it for the yearly TKO gift basket… ?”

While Omega doesn’t name names, the message is clear. “Doing the splits on it” is a not-so-subtle jab at veteran wrestlers who, in Omega’s view, are eagerly taking lucrative offers — represented by the “TKO gift basket” — to perform at high-profile Saudi shows promoted by WWE’s owners, TKO Group Holdings.

The comment reignites conversation around sports washing, a term used for the Saudi government’s use of major entertainment events to improve its global image amid ongoing human rights criticisms. WWE has faced regular criticism for its partnership with Saudi Arabia, and Omega has previously spoken out against the practice.

This latest shot underscores the ongoing tension between AEW and WWE.

  • Jazmyn Nyx Departs WWE NXT After Turning Down New Contract Offer

NXT star Jazmyn Nyx is done with WWE. According to PWInsider, she turned down WWE\’s contract offer.

Jazmyn Nyx, whose real name is Jade Gentile, is leaving the company after a promising run on the NXT brand.

A former pro soccer player, Nyx made a splash in WWE with her athleticism and striking offense, notably as a member of the “Fatal Influence” stable with Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley.

    https://x.com/Jazmyn_nyx_wwe/status/1951780957465514088

Throughout her NXT tenure, she built a reputation as a skilled competitor and an opportunistic heel, often factoring into high-profile women\’s tag and trios matches.

WWE hoped to keep Nyx on board with a new deal, but she chose to test free agency after being written off NXT TV by her former stablemates.

As she closes this chapter in WWE, fans can follow Jazmyn Nyx’s next moves and updates on Instagram at @jazmyn_wwe to see where her career goes next.

Stay tuned for more on Jazmyn Nyx as her story develops.

  • Kenan Thompson\’s Company Developing \’Macho Man\’ Randy Savage Biopic

Kenan Thompson’s production company Artists For Artists is developing the first-ever narrative feature film about wrestling legend “Macho Man” Randy Savage, according to an exclusive report from Deadline.

The Saturday Night Live star and his partner Johnny Ryan Jr. are producing “Macho,” based on a completed script by Savage’s late brother Lanny Poffo and Eric Shapiro. Poffo, who died in February 2023, co-wrote the screenplay as a tribute to his iconic sibling.

Thompson brings a personal connection to the project, having worked with Savage on a Nickelodeon promotional campaign back in 1999. The nostalgic collaboration sparked Thompson’s longtime admiration for the wrestling superstar.

“Macho man Randy Savage was the greatest showman of all time and the OG bad boy of entertainment,” Ryan Jr. was quoted. “His outfits were as electric as his personality and he’s so much more than an artist, he’s an icon.”

Thompson expressed his enthusiasm, stating he’s “beyond excited” to bring Savage’s story to the big screen, calling him “hands down one of the greatest of all time.”

    Randy Savage\’s Legacy

Born Randy Mario Poffo, Savage became one of wrestling’s most influential figures from the 1970s through early 2000s. After a shoulder injury ended his baseball aspirations with the Cardinals and Reds farm systems, he redirected his athletic drive toward wrestling, eventually becoming a six-time World Heavyweight Champion.

Savage died suddenly of a heart attack at age 58 in May 2011 and was posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2015. While his life has been featured in documentaries and WWE specials, this marks the first narrative feature film adaptation of his remarkable story.

  • ASUKA Reflects on Legacy on 10-Year WWE Anniversary

WWE Superstar ASUKA marked the 10-year anniversary of her WWE signing with a deeply philosophical reflection on her career and legacy.

The Grand Slam champion shared her thoughts on Twitter, emphasizing that ideals and convictions hold more value than achievements alone.

\”I believe that ideals and convictions, what one sets out to achieve, hold more value than what one has actually accomplished,\” ASUKA wrote. \”I have obtained every record, everything there is to obtain, but these are all merely waypoints.\”

    https://x.com/wweasuka/status/1970629338841444712?s=46

The Japanese wrestling icon, who competed as Kana before joining WWE, expressed her vision of creating lasting change in the industry.

\”What has universal value and beauty is pioneering a new era, possessing the power to change the times,\” she continued. ASUKA\’s reflection highlighted her mission to establish a transformative legacy, stating her pursuit of \”creating \’before and after Kana\’ and \’before and after Asuka.\’\”

She emphasized the difficulty and beauty of forging new paths rather than following established ones.

\”Creating a path is far more difficult than walking down a path that others have made. And therein lies the most beautiful aesthetic of all,\” ASUKA concluded, describing her approach to life as centered on \”living as a pioneer and living with conviction, philosophy, and aesthetics.\”

Asuka is currently making headlines on WWE Raw after turning heel by attacking her former ally IYO SKY, ending their partnership in dramatic fashion following Asuka’s loss to Rhea Ripley on the September 22, 2025 episode. In the closing moments, Asuka unleashed her green mist on Ripley, then, with Kairi Sane, assaulted IYO when she tried to intervene, effectively forming a new allegiance with Kairi and making a strong statement against both IYO and Ripley.

  • WWE Wrestlepalooza Earns \”C\” Grade From ESPN

WWE\’s much-anticipated debut on ESPN Unlimited didn\’t quite hit the mark Saturday night, with ESPN correspondent Andreas Hale giving Wrestlepalooza an overall \”C\” grade.

The card featured Brock Lesnar\’s dominant victory over John Cena in their seventh singles encounter, Cody Rhodes defending his Undisputed WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre, and the return of AJ Lee after a decade away from the ring, teaming with husband CM Punk to defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch.

However, Hale found most of the card underwhelming. The Lesnar-Cena opener lasted just 9 minutes with only about six total moves, earning a \”C-\” as it felt more like a setup for future d than a complete match. The main event between Rhodes and McIntyre surprisingly ran only 15 minutes and \”never truly had time to get out of first gear,\” according to Hale, who noted it felt more like a SmackDown main event than a premium live event headliner.

Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky Shine at Wrestlepalooza

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/09/\"Stephanie
Stephanie Vaquer wins WWE Women\’s World Championship / WWE

The bright spot of the evening was Stephanie Vaquer\’s Women\’s World Championship victory over Iyo Sky, which earned a \”B+\” and was described as \”exceptional work from two of the best women\’s wrestlers in WWE.\” Hale called it \”a match you should go out of your way to see\” and credited it with saving the show from being \”truly average.\”

The mixed tag match featuring Lee\’s return stretched nearly 30 minutes but earned only a \”C,\” while The Vision\’s victory over The Usos also received a \”C\” after a sluggish start and disjointed finish.

While WWE\’s first premium live event on ESPN airwaves may have missed the mark with its promise of \”epic moments,\” one positive takeaway is clear: ESPN\’s coverage appears committed to unbiased analysis, with Hale pulling no punches in his assessment of the company\’s inaugural showing on the platform.

  • Watch: Adam Copeland pays Homage to John Cena at AEW All Out

Wrestling fans witnessed a rare cross-promotional moment of respect at AEW All Out Toronto on Saturday, as Adam Copeland (formerly WWE\’s Edge) honored John Cena with an in-ring tribute, reciprocating Cena\’s recent gesture on WWE SmackDown.

Copeland incorporated Cena\’s Five Moves of Doom into his match, including the the \”You Can\’t See Me\” taunt, Five Knuckle Shuffle, and Attitude Adjustment.

The tribute came weeks after Cena paid homage to Copeland during the September 5, 2025 edition of WWE SmackDown. As part of his farewell tour, Cena executed Copeland\’s signature Spear, complete with the iconic setup and taunt, during his match against Sami Zayn.

The exchange highlights the mutual respect between two performers who defined an era of WWE programming through their storied rivalry.

Beth Phoenix Debuts at AEW All Out Toronto, Gets Laid Out by FTR

  • Beth Phoenix Debuts at AEW All Out Toronto, Gets Laid Out by FTR

WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix made her surprise AEW debut at Saturday\’s All Out pay-per-view in Toronto, marking her first professional wrestling appearance since WWE Elimination Chamber 2023. The event proved to be both triumphant and devastating for the wrestling legend known as \”The Glamazon.\”

    The Dramatic Debut

During the opening match between Adam Copeland and Christian Cage versus FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler), Beth Phoenix emerged to even the odds when FTR\’s manager Stokeley Hathaway began interfering in the contest. Announced under her married name \”Beth Copeland,\” she made a dramatic entrance complete with ominous rock music and her first name flashing on the entrance screen.

Phoenix immediately neutralized Hathaway\’s interference by taking him out and carrying him on her shoulders to the backstage area. This intervention proved crucial in allowing her husband Adam Copeland and his longtime partner Christian Cage to compete on equal terms against their opponents.

    Victory and Celebration

With the playing field leveled, Copeland and Christian dominated the match\’s closing moments. Despite FTR hitting Copeland with both a spike piledriver and their signature Shatter Machine maneuver, the veteran kicked out of both devastating moves. The match concluded when Copeland hit a surprise spear on Cash Wheeler to secure the victory for the hometown heroes.

Following the victory, Beth returned to the ring to celebrate with her husband and Christian, creating what was described as a touching \”family reunion\” moment in front of the enthusiastic Toronto crowd. The celebration included emotional embraces and handshakes between all three competitors, marking a special moment for the reunited tag team in their hometown.

    The Brutal Attack

The celebration was short-lived, however, as Nick Wayne\’s mother, known as \”Mother Wayne,\” wheeled her son Nick Wayne to the stage in a wheelchair, creating the perfect distraction. This allowed FTR, along with Kip Sabian, to launch a brutal post-match assault on the celebrating trio.

The attack was methodical and vicious. Copeland and Christian were handcuffed to the ring ropes, leaving them helpless as FTR turned their attention to Beth Phoenix. Despite Copeland telling his wife to flee and Beth attempting to defend herself by getting in several shots against her attackers, she was ultimately overwhelmed.

The assault culminated with FTR delivering their devastating spike piledriver finishing move to Beth Phoenix, leaving the WWE Hall of Famer laid out in the ring. This marked a shocking conclusion to what had started as a triumphant debut for the wrestling legend.

    Historical Significance

This appearance represents Beth Phoenix\’s first involvement in professional wrestling since her mixed tag team victory alongside Adam Copeland (then known as Edge) over Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley at WWE Elimination Chamber in February 2023. Phoenix became a free agent after her WWE contract expired in 2024, making this AEW debut possible.

The match itself was historically significant as it marked the first time Adam Copeland and Christian Cage had competed as a tag team in Toronto since 2001. Their victory, aided by Beth Phoenix\’s crucial intervention, represents another chapter in their legendary partnership that has spanned multiple decades and promotions.

The events at All Out 2025 clearly indicate that the rivalry between Copeland, Christian, and FTR is far from over, with Beth Phoenix now directly involved in the ongoing storyline. Her brutal attack at the hands of FTR sets up potential future confrontations and adds a personal element to an already intense feud.

Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys, portraying both himself and his wrestling alter ego, the Green Bastard, made an appearance at AEW All Out in Toronto. He was featured in a backstage segment with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, telling them to show no mercy against FTR before they went out for their match.

Green Bastard is the wrestling alter-ego of Bubbles, one of the main characters from Trailer Park Boys. In the series, Bubbles (portrayed by Mike Smith) adopts the Green Bastard persona during a memorable episode centered on a wrestling-themed community day in Sunnyvale Trailer Park.

As Green Bastard, Bubbles wears a green costume, performs exaggerated wrestling antics, and introduces himself as \”Green Bastard from parts unknown,\” parodying professional wrestlers. The character\’s love for wrestling and comedic antics make Green Bastard a cult favorite among fans of the show.

  • Raja Jackson Arrested on Felony Charges Following Wrestling Event Attack

Raja Jackson, son of UFC legend Quinton \”Rampage\” Jackson, was arrested Thursday morning on felony charges stemming from a brutal assault at a Knokx Pro Wrestling event in Los Angeles last month.

According to TMZ, the 25-year-old was taken into custody and booked on a felony charge, with jail records showing he remains behind bars on a $50,000 bond. The arrest follows an incident on August 24 where Raja violently attacked wrestler Syko Stu (Stuart Smith) during the event.

Video footage shows Raja slamming Smith to the mat before delivering nearly two dozen punches to the unconscious wrestler. The assault continued for 10-11 seconds until other wrestlers intervened and pulled Raja off the victim.

Smith, who had gotten into a dispute with Raja before the event, was hospitalized for several days with multiple injuries including a fractured maxilla bone. He has since been released and is recovering at home.

In a surprising twist, Rampage Jackson publicly stated his son should face jail time for his actions, suggesting \”a little community service,\” anger management courses and therapy would benefit Raja.

The incident has raised serious questions about security protocols at wrestling events and the consequences of taking scripted entertainment too far into real violence.
