  • AJ Styles Suffers Arm Cut at WWE Royal Rumble in Riyadh

AJ Styles suffered a deep cut on his arm during his retirement match against Gunther at the 2026 WWE Royal RumbleThe injury occurred early in the match and was severe enough for the commentary team to acknowledge it on-air.

Despite the bloody wound, The Phenomenal One refused to stop and competed through the remainder of the match. Styles ultimately tapped out to Gunther, ending his WWE career per the retirement stipulation.

It was a gutsy final performance from Styles, who proved one last time why he\’s regarded as one of the toughest competitors in professional wrestling. Even with the injury, he delivered a match worthy of the Royal Rumble stage before saying goodbye to the WWE Universe.

There is no word yet on whether Styles required stitches or further medical attention following the match.

  • AJ Styles Loses WWE Retirement Match to Gunther at Royal Rumble 2026

AJ Styles\’ legendary WWE career came to a heartbreaking end at the 2026 Royal Rumble in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as The Phenomenal One tapped out to Gunther in a retirement stipulation match.

The loss means Styles must officially retire from WWE competition, per the terms of the match. It marks the second career Gunther has ended in as many months, following his decisive victory over John Cena in November that closed the book on the 16-time world champion\’s in-ring career.

The Riyadh crowd, initially stunned by the result, rose to their feet to celebrate Styles and his Hall of Fame-worthy career. In an emotional post-match moment, Styles removed his wrestling gloves and moved to place them in the center of the ring — a symbolic gesture signaling the end. But before he could lay them down, Styles slipped the gloves back on, leaving the door open and sending fans into a frenzy of speculation.

That tease has already ignited fantasy booking across social media, with fans speculating about potential appearances in AEW or a final farewell match in TNA Wrestling, where Styles made his name before joining WWE in 2016. For now, however, those scenarios remain purely speculative.

What is certain is that AJ Styles leaves WWE as one of the greatest in-ring performers of his generation.

Thank you, AJ. Phenomenal from start to finish.

  • Liv Morgan Wins 2026 Women\’s Royal Rumble, Bella Twins Return

Liv Morgan is heading to WrestleMania 42 as the 2026 Women\’s Royal Rumble winner. Morgan entered the 30-woman match at #14 and last eliminated the returning Tiffany Stratton, who entered at #30 after months away from WWE television. Morgan sealed the victory with an ObLivion to send Stratton over the top rope.

The match opened with Charlotte Flair at #1 and Alexa Bliss at #2, marking high-profile returns for both women. Other notable entrants included Becky Lynch (#9), TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace (#8), Rhea Ripley (#22), and NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne (#24).

The Bella Twins also made a surprise return, with Nikki entering at #25, but both were quickly eliminated by Lash Legend.

Perhaps the biggest storyline development came when Morgan betrayed her Judgment Day ally Raquel Rodriguez during the final stretch, eliminating her to clear a path to victory. The final four came down to Morgan, Stratton, Sol Ruca, and Rodriguez.

As the Royal Rumble winner, Morgan now has a championship opportunity at WrestleMania 42. She will choose between challenging Women\’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer or WWE Women\’s Champion Jade Cargill.

  • Natalya Debuts Low-Key Legend Name, Theme at Royal Rumble

Natalya debuted a new ring name, entrance theme, and gear as \’Low-Key Legend Nattie\’during the Women\’s Royal Rumble match at Royal Rumble 2026. Natalya entered the match at number 13. She made an immediate impact by eliminating Becky Lynch from the over-the-top-rope battle royal.

Natalya also targeted Maxxine Dupri, the wrestler she previously mentored in WWE. The personal rivalry added intensity to her appearance in the high-stakes match.

    Natalya\’s Character Evolution

The \’Low-Key Legend Nattie\’ persona marks a fresh direction for the veteran competitor. Known for her Hart Family legacy and technical prowess, Natalya has continually reinvented herself throughout her WWE career.

Her new theme song and ring gear fit the confident \’Low-Key Legend\’ moniker, signaling a character refresh heading into 2026. Fans reacted positively to the debut on social media.

Natalya\’s performance in the Rumble keeps her in the title picture conversation. Expect to see \’Low-Key Legend Nattie\’ on upcoming episodes of WWE Raw or SmackDown as storylines develop post-Royal Rumble.

  • Chris Jericho Chants Break Out at Royal Rumble Kickoff Show

The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble is about to get underway from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the live crowd is already making their voices heard.

During the Kickoff Show, fans in attendance broke out into loud \”Y2J! Y2J!\” chants, making it clear who they want to see walk through the curtain tonight as a surprise entrant in the men\’s Royal Rumble match.

    https://x.com/FadeAwayMedia/status/2017662724272980452

The chants come as no surprise. Chris Jericho has been widely expected to return to WWE ever since his AEW contract expired on December 31, 2025. Multiple reports have described the 55-year-old as \”WWE-bound,\” and tonight\’s Royal Rumble has long been considered the most likely landing spot for his comeback.

WWE themselves have fueled the speculation in recent weeks, featuring Jericho\’s iconic 2013 Royal Rumble return on their social media channels and ranking it among the greatest Rumble surprises of all time. Some have speculated Jericho could enter as the coveted #30 entrant for maximum impact.

Jericho\’s last WWE match took place at the Greatest Royal Rumble in 2018 — also held in Saudi Arabia — meaning a return tonight would bring his WWE journey full circle.

The first-ever Undisputed WWE Champion and 9-time Intercontinental Champion has been coy about his plans, saying only that fans would \”see me in a wrestling ring somewhere\” in 2026.

  • Royal Rumble Match Order, Cold Open Video

The planned match order for WWE Royal Rumble 2026 has been revealed:

    1. Women\’s Royal Rumble Match
    2. AJ Styles vs. Gunther: Career-Threatening Match
    3. Sami Zayn vs. Drew McIntyre (c): WWE Championship Match
    4. Men\’s Royal Rumble Match

According to PWInsider Elite, the Women\’s Royal Rumble match is set to kick off the show, while the Men\’s Royal Rumble will serve as the main event. Both Rumble matches are planned to run approximately 75 minutes each.

The card shapes up with high stakes early. AJ Styles faces GUNTHER in the second match, with Styles\’ career on the line. Following that, Drew McIntyre defends the Undisputed WWE Championship against Sami Zayn in the third slot.

The lineup positions the biggest marquee matches strategically. Styles putting his career at risk against GUNTHER adds massive drama right after the opener, while McIntyre-Zayn for the top title builds toward the Rumble finale.

  • Bron Breakker Draws #2 for Men\’s Royal Rumble Match

Bron Breakker will enter the men\’s Royal Rumble match at number two tonight, January 31, 2026.

The entry was confirmed during WWE\’s Countdown to Royal Rumble pre-show stream. This marks Breakker\’s third appearance in the grueling 30-man match.

Earlier, a production graphic error on Friday\’s SmackDown listed Breakker as number one entrant, sparking confusion. It seem WWE has made chicken salad out of the situation and turned it into a storyline.

Paul Heyman confronted WWE official Adam Pearce on the pre-show, questioning the legitimacy of the draw.

\”Random draw my Kosher tuchus. Don’t tell me it’s a random draw. Listen, for how many years did people think that number one was the worst position… You start off, and number one has the high ground. So number two is even worse than number one. And you want to make him number two? Really?\”

    – Paul Heyman

CM Punk defended Pearce, insisting the Royal Rumble draw process remains random despite Heyman\’s accusations. Heyman argued the number two spot statistically disadvantages entrants more than number one.

Breakker now prepares for an endurance test against 29 other competitors vying for a World Title opportunity at WrestleMania 42.

  • Roxanne Perez Injured on SmackDown, Blames Charlotte Flair

Roxanne Perez sustained a puncture wound to her face during her match on the January 30th edition of SmackDown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Perez teamed with Liv Morgan to face Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Following the match, Perez alleged that Flair’s ring gear caused the injury.

The incident occurred during tag-team action. The match continued, and Perez finished the contest. The severity of the injury is currently unknown, but Perez has commented on the incident. Perez is still scheduled to compete in the women’s Royal Rumble match.

Roxanne Perez posted on X, stating:

Perez followed up with: \”The referee should’ve disqualified Charlotte for using her gear as a weapon!!!! I was stabbed!!!\”

    Royal Rumble Status

It remains to be seen if the injury will impact Perez’s participation in the Royal Rumble. As of now, she is still slated to compete.

SEScoops will provide updates on her condition as they become available.

  • Drew McIntyre\’s Final Warning to Sami Zayn Before Royal Rumble

Drew McIntyre dropped a chilling video promo on Twitter ahead of WWE Royal Rumble 2026, delivering a cold message to challenger Sami Zayn and referencing Cody Rhodes.

The Undisputed WWE Champion faces Zayn for the title later today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. McIntyre mocked Zayn\’s underdog narrative while boasting an undefeated 11-0 record against him.

    McIntyre posted on X:

\”So tonight, Sami, it\’s a lesson. So listen to everybody, including your son. No matter how hard you work or how much you believe, for some people this is as good as it gets. So enjoy the moment. Take it all in. Because this is the last chance you\’re ever gonna get a shot at my title.\”

The Scottish Warrior also took a shot at Rhodes, echoing the champion\’s recent comments about not being a role model.

McIntyre has dominated Zayn in past encounters, holding a perfect 11-0 record. Fans in Riyadh will see if Zayn can finally overcome the odds and dethrone the powerhouse champion at Royal Rumble.

  • John Cena Reveals His Plans for the Royal Rumble

John Cena took to social media to hype today\’s Royal Rumble from Riyadh, calling it one of the most important events on the WWE calendar and confirming he\’ll be tuned in.

Cena posted on X: \”The #RoyalRumble is one of the most exciting, surprising and important events in @WWE!! The Road to Wrestlemania starts now with this historic Rumble you don\’t want to miss! I\’ll be watching!\”

    Cena\’s Royal Rumble History

Cena is no stranger to Royal Rumble success, having won the match twice in his career. John Cena debuted in the Royal Rumble at the 2003 event, entering at number 18 and lasting nearly 20 minutes before The Undertaker eliminated him, marking a modest start to his storied history in the match.

His early appearances included a short 2004 stint ending in sixth place after Big Show tossed him out, followed by a strong showing in 2005 where he reached the final two, eliminating three opponents including Viscera before a controversial double-elimination with Batista led to his exit in second place.

The pinnacle came in 2008 at Madison Square Garden, where Cena made a shocking injury return as the #30 entrant, eliminating four wrestlers like Triple H in just over eight minutes to claim his first Rumble victory and a WrestleMania title shot.

Cena continued his dominance with a second win in 2013, entering at #19, outlasting the field for 26 minutes, and dumping Ryback last to headline WrestleMania 29 against The Rock.

He notched runner-up finishes in 2010 (eliminated by Edge) and most recently in 2025 during his retirement tour, entering at #23, surviving 30 minutes, and falling to winner Jey Uso in second place after three eliminations.

Across nine appearances, Cena boasts two wins, three runner-up spots, 28 total eliminations, and an average finish of 3.44, cementing his legacy as one of the Rumble\’s most consistent performers without ever holding the Iron Man record.?

The veteran wrestler last competed in December, falling to GUNTHER in that outing. Gunther aims to retire AJ Styles in just a matter of hours.

  • Returning WWE Star Pulled from the Royal Rumble

Aleister Black traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but WWE has pulled him from today\’s Royal Rumble premium live event. According to PWInsider, WWE officials made the decision to delay his return to television and reintroduce him more strategically rather than have him get lost in the shuffle of a 30-man Rumble match.

Black last competed on SmackDown on January 2, 2026, facing Damian Priest in an Ambulance Match where he suffered a minor broken tailbone. The injury wasn\’t expected to alter Black\’s planned hiatus from television.

Black is currently feuding with Damian Priest, with Zelina Vega aiding her husband on-screen. Speaking on The Babyfaces Podcast earlier this month, Black discussed subtle character tweaks for himself and Vega, emphasizing keeping her core personality while adapting to their dark alliance dynamic.

With WWE opting for a more strategic reintroduction, expect Black\’s return to carry greater storyline significance when he eventually resurfaces to continue his rivalry with Priest.

  • Ashley Massaro Mentioned in Epstein Documents

The late WWE superstar Ashley Massaro, who tragically died by suicide in 2019, is named in the recently released Jeffrey Epstein files. Millions of documents tied to Jeffrey Epstein were released by the Department of Justice, and within them, a complaint connects Massaro to Epstein’s wider network.

The complaint detailing Maxwell’s alleged involvement was submitted to then–Acting U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Audrey Strauss. The complaint includes language suggesting that Massaro may have previously worked for Maxwell, referencing alleged ongoing abuse connected to Epstein’s private island.

The anonymous claimant stated, \”…She mentioned horrible things happening in the island and including [sic] dead body of a girl that had mask and was tied to a tree. She said that the one from London was very mean and also the one from Miami. Also that the man in the mention was making her f*** black guys and he liked to watch it, she was young – high school student… she also said that her friend Ashley Massaro (who died in 2019 – the WWE) got pregnant in high school. They both worked for Maxwell and Mechella from Miami Florida.\”

Massaro had previously alleged being drugged and sexually assaulted during a WWE trip to Kuwait in 2006. The complaint suggests Massaro may have previously worked for Ghislaine Maxwell.
