Gable Steveson commented on his return, saying:

“I am excited to return to the University of Minnesota and compete with my teammates for one last season. I look forward to putting on a show for the fans and going out with a bang.”

  • Liv Morgan ‘Auditioning Regularly’ With Sets Sights on Hollywood

Liv Morgan continues to work on establishing a career for herself in the entertainment industry.

WWE Women’s World Champion fulfilled a lifelong dream by getting killed on screen by Chucky on defunct USA Network series of the same name in 2022. She next made her film debut, sharing the screen with Morgan Freedman in 2023\’s The Kill Room in 2023.

Inspired by WWE stars like John Cena, Batista, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who successfully transitioned to acting, Morgan is eager to see what opportunities lie ahead for her. During an interview with Yahoo Sports, Morgan said, “I think these crossover opportunities are amazing … it brings new viewers to each of these products that are involved.”

Liv Morgan is only 30 years old, but she\’s already setting herself up for success for life after wrestling. She signed with Paradigm Talent Agency in August, the firm that also represents CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, Tiffany Stratton and Damian Priest. Morgan continues to be represented by attorney Brad Small at Fox Rothschild.

  • WWE News: Undertaker Does Modeling, Survivor Series Poster & Classic Promos

The next WWE vs. AEW head-to-head battle will take place later this month. On Saturday, November 30, AEW’s Collision and Rampage will air consecutively on TNT starting at 4pm EST and wrapping up at 7. Meanwhile, WWE Survivor Series is scheduled to begin at 6pm (with a kickoff show), creating an overlap with AEW’s programming

WWE legend The Undertaker seems to be everywhere these days. Over the past few weeks, the Dead Man interviewed US President-Elect Donald Trump on his podcast, and was spotted hanging out with actor Matthew McConaughey at a Texas Longhorns football game over the weekend. On Tuesday, ESPN released photos of The Undertaker modeling the a new \’kit\’ for Italian football club Genoa CFC.

The WWE Vault YouTube channel has shared a 35-minute video of classic Survivor Series team promos dating back to the 1980\’s. There\’s no doubt in-ring wrestling has evolved a great deal over the past 35 years, but they just don\’t cut promos like they used to.

Triple H posted the official WWE Survivor Series 2024 poster on social media featuring the past and present members of The Bloodline. Interestingly, only four men are shown from each time, while their WarGames match will be 5-on-5.

Finally, ECW original Francine had a small role at last week\’s NXT 2300 special, but says she turned down several offers to do more on the show. On her Eyes Up Here podcast, the \”Queen of Extreme\” reveals she was initially asked to be the special guest referee for the match between Jaida Parker and Lola Vice. After a talk with her husband, who reminded her she\’s had five stomach surgeries, she decided against doing anything physical.

She suggested being a guest time keeper instead, but never got a response. The night before the show, she was offered a speaking role, but had to decline that because she\’d lost her voice. In the end, she was shown in the crowd as a special guest.

She wishes she could have done more, but just being included was enough for her to celebrate the memory of ECW one more time.

  • The Undertaker Says WWE is On Par With NFL, NBA & MLB

The Undertaker says, “WWE is on par now with the NFL, NBA, MLB, you name it. We’re no longer just some wrestling show on the fringe. WWE has become a massive global entity with influence far beyond the ring.”

The Dead Man spoke about WWE’s incredible growth on his Six Feet Under podcast. He credited this evolution to WWE’s leadership, talent, professionalized training facilities, and a recruitment process akin to major sports leagues.

“The Performance Center is like our own draft, our way of finding and developing top-tier talent, just like any other major league,” he said.

    WWE’s Merchandising Machine

Taker’s “hot take” is echoed by many, including Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin. Earlier this year, Rubin spoke about pro wrestling’s popularity in comparison to major sports leagues. Fanatics is the official merchandise partner for the NFL, NBA, MLB, UFC, NASCAR and more, but he wasn’t prepared for WWE’s merchandising muscle.

“The biggest growth sport in my mind Well, are we looking at percents, dollars? What’s wild, I’ll tell you honestly, what’s going on with WWE is insane,” Rubin said at SBJ’s CAA World Congress of Sports. “If I look at the growth in our WWE business, and it’s a big business already, it’s absolutely insane.”

  • WWE News: Lack Of Heels, Who is Missing WWE Raw, Milestones & More

Here are some WWE news and notes for Monday, November 11, 2024:

Gunther, Nia Jax and LA Knight have each hit 100 days in their respective title reigns. Gunther won the World Heavyweight championship from Damian Priest at SummerSlam, while Jax beat Bayley for the Women’s World Championship and Knight captured the United States title from Logan Paul at the event.

Liv Morgan hopes to make history tonight on WWE Raw, when she and Raquel Rodriguez challenge Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair for the Women\’s tag titles. Should they win, Morgan and Rodriguez would be 3-time champions, a feat that no other team has accomplished.

Samantha Irvin has completely scrubbed her Instagram account of all references to WWE.

Jackie Redmond has confirmed she won\’t be at tonight\’s WWE Raw from Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Kevin Nash announced on his podcast that he probably needs shoulder surgery. “Something popped in my shoulder training on Tuesday,\” he said on his podcast. \”It never stops, man.”

Nash also dealing with a back injury that caused him to withdraw from two appearances over the weekend. “We’re dealing with the back. It’s two separate issues. I mean, it’s easily compartmentalized. One of them is my nerve is pinched, and it’s making my quad not fire; the other one is when I wipe my ass, I scream.\”

Finally, Seth Rollins feels like WWE is lacking strong villains. \”I’m looking around, and I’m kind of thinking, \’Oh man, we’re missing some good heels around here,\’ he said on the Pivot podcast. \”We’re missing some good ones.\”

  • MVP On Leaving WWE: \’New Management Just Wasn\’t For Me\’

MVP says he knew it was time to leave WWE when “new management” took over following Vince McMahon’s departure in January 2024.

The leader of AEW\’s Hurt Syndicate faction chose not to renew his WWE contract earlier this year. MVP noticed a significant shift in leadership under Triple H and quickly realized the company’s new direction did not align with his own vision. A major point of contention was Triple H’s reported lack of interest in reviving The Hurt Business.

“This time, I didn’t want to re-sign and I let it be known that I wasn’t going to re-sign because the new management in place.

anytime, I don’t care where you work, when new management comes in, it’s good for some people and not for other people. New people come in, old people go. So I just felt that it was definitely time to go because the new management just wasn’t for me and I ain’t for him.\”

The Hurt Business currently has their sights set on former AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland. Lashley is scheduled to make his AEW in-ring debut against Swerve later this month at Full Gear.

  • Jey Who? Logan Paul Dubs Himself the \’Grandfather of Yeet\’

Logan Paul denies copying Jey Uso’s “Yeet” catchphrase, claiming he’s been “yeeting” for a long time and dubbing himself “Daddy Yeet” and the “Grandfather of Yeet.”

Jey Uso popularized “Yeet” in WWE, especially since transitioning to a solo career. The catchphrase has become central to his personal brand, strengthening his connection with WWE audiences and boosting merchandise sales.

Amid fan criticism for his use of the phrase, Logan Paul asserts that he has long used “Yeet” independently, even sharing an old video clip to support his claim. He stated on his Instagram stories:

“Clearly you don’t know your internet history. I’m Daddy Yeet. The Grandfather of the Yeet. I began the Yeet, and I will Yeet as I please.”

Logan Paul stakes his claim to \”Yeet\”

Paul humorously declared himself the “grandfather of Yeet,” insisting he would continue using it as he liked. Although Logan Paul and Jey Uso have yet to meet in the ring, with this new rivalry brewing, it may only be a matter of time.

    Who\’s The Man?

Logan Paul and Jey Uso both staking claim to \”Yeet\” is reminiscent of Becky Lynch and Ric Flair\’s public dispute over the nickname, \”The Man\” several years ago.

Flair applied to trademark the \”The Man\” shortly after Becky Lynch adopted the persona in WWE. As Lynch\’s popularity was skyrocketing, Flair argued that he should be paid royalties, since he\’s been calling himself The Man for decades. He said Lynch\’s moniker diminished his legacy and damaged his earning potential.

The matter was resolved in early 2023, when Flair announced on his podcast that the conflict got out of hand, and he\’d apologized to Lynch.

“I’m not ‘The Man’ anymore,\” said Flair. \”I don’t know who ‘The Man’ is, but people decide that, and that’s in every sport, in every field, and every phase of life. But I’m realizing, during the body of the show, I’m realizing, I really got stuck on that because I said it for so many years. There was a time, in the 80s, I was the guy. I got no problem saying that at all. Maybe even the early 90s. But it’s like believing your own hype after a while because you just say it so long.”

  • WWE Raw Preview: Gunther-Priest, Women’s Tag Title Match

  • Peacemaker Season 2 Set for 2025 Release on Max, New Teaser Unveiled

The second season of Peacemaker, the HBO Max series starring John Cena as the title character, is set to release in 2025. The show’s creator, James Gunn and Cena announced the news on social media, accompanying the update with a brief teaser.

While fans have eagerly awaited the return of this Suicide Squad spinoff since its first season concluded in early 2022, the new season faced delays, partially due to Gunn’s commitments to other projects.

Cena, who reprises his role as the antihero Peacemaker, had previously commented on the extended wait, noting scheduling conflicts. The upcoming release also coincides with Cena’s recently announced retirement tour in WWE, adding to his high-profile appearances in 2025.

Further details on the plot and exact premiere date for Peacemaker Season 2 remain under wraps.

  • Damian Priest Shares How The Undertaker’s Mentorship Shaped His WWE Career

Damian Priest recently spoke about the impact of The Undertaker’s mentorship on his WWE career. Priest noted that whenever The Undertaker is present, he seeks out his advice, explaining, “If he’s there at an event, I’ll sit down next to him… and just, you know, like, ‘You have anything for me?’ Then, he’ll give it to me straight.”

Priest values The Undertaker’s honesty and constructive criticism, saying, “I don’t need pats on the back. I need, ‘Okay, it’s fine. But if you would have did this this way, or think about it like this.’” This direct feedback has, according to Priest, helped him grow as a performer.

One of the most significant lessons from The Undertaker was about authenticity. “The most important piece of advice is basically, ‘Be yourself, turn up the volume,’” Priest said. “You don’t have to beg the crowd for acceptance. Just be you, and they’ll either follow or they won’t, but don’t beg for it.”

Expressing gratitude, Priest added, “I’m very appreciative that I have The Undertaker giving me advice… explaining to me how I should carry myself and how to be a WWE Superstar, leader, and all of it.”

  • Montez Ford: It’s \’Championship or Bust’ for the Street Profits

Montez Ford has openly addressed speculation about the Street Profits\’ partnership ahead of a pivotal WWE Tag Team Championship match against the Motor City Machine Guns scheduled for next week\’s SmackDown.

During an emotional appearance on SmackDown Lowdown, Ford discussed the team\’s recent struggles, particularly highlighting their challenging transition following Bobby Lashley\’s departure to AEW. The Street Profits, along with B-FAB, have been working to redefine their identity in the aftermath.

\”Four years of drought. No WWE Tag Team Championship, not in the conversation with everybody,\” Ford emphasized, acknowledging that the team\’s trademark optimistic demeanor often masked deeper frustrations within the group.

Ford made it clear that next week\’s championship opportunity represents a crucial moment for the Street Profits, declaring it \”WWE Tag Team Championship or bust\” and emphasizing there is no backup plan. This statement comes at a time when rumors have circulated about potential singles opportunities, particularly after comments from Ford\’s wife, Bianca Belair.

  • Brock Lesnar Spotted at Wade Davis Concert Amid WWE Hiatus

Former WWE and UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar made a rare public appearance on Friday night, attending country music star Wade Davis\’s concert in Tsuut\’ina, Canada. The typically private superstar was spotted backstage at the November 8 show, where he posed for photographs with Davis.

    \"\"
Brock Lesnar spotted in the wild (November 8, 2024)

The appearance marks one of Lesnar\’s first public sightings since his departure from WWE programming following his high-profile match at SummerSlam 2023, where he was defeated by Cody Rhodes in what would become his last WWE appearance to date.

Lesnar, known for his intensely private lifestyle and preference for spending time at his farm in Saskatchewan, has maintained a low profile in recent months. His pro wrestling career has been \’on hold\’ since last summer.

Lesnar\’s absence from WWE coincides with him being indirectly referenced in the Janel Grant lawsuit filed against WWE. These developments have reportedly complicated any potential plans for his return to the wrestling ring. Despite his name being name occasionally referenced on WWE programming in recent weeks, there are no plans for him to return any time soon.

  • Solo Sikoa Threatens the Original Bloodline: \’WarGames, See You Soon\’

Solo Sikoa issued an ominous warning to the original Bloodline members after Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn reunited to confront his new faction on the November 8 episode of WWE SmackDown. In footage released by WWE following the encounter, an incensed Sikoa addressed his former associates.

\”You messed up,\” he declared. \”I know everything about all four of you.

I was in that Bloodline, there\’s a reason why I got out and created my own Bloodline. War Games, see you soon.\”

Solo Sikoa threatens the Original Bloodline

The confrontation signals a significant escalation in the ongoing Bloodline saga, with both Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa expressing their readiness for war in the aftermath of the encounter.

WWE Survivor Series: WarGames is scheduled for Saturday, November 30, 2024 from Vancouver, BC at Rogers Arena.

  • Cody Rhodes Sued Over \’American Nightmare\’ Trademark Dispute

A trademark dispute has erupted between punk rock frontman Wesley Eisold and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes over the use of the name \”American Nightmare.\” Eisold, who leads the Boston-based hardcore punk band American Nightmare, filed a lawsuit in California federal court alleging Rhodes violated their previous trademark agreement.

The lawsuit seeks damages of at least $900,000 and alleges that WWE and Fanatics, Rhodes\’ merchandise partners, intentionally caused the breach of the settlement agreement. Rhodes has until November 15 to respond to the lawsuit.

The conflict stems from an earlier settlement between the two parties after Rhodes attempted to trademark \”The American Nightmare\” for his wrestling persona. Eisold, who had already secured the \”American Nightmare\” trademark, reached an agreement allowing Rhodes to use the name on merchandise under specific conditions.

The deal required Rhodes to prominently display his name, likeness, or wrestling imagery at 75% or larger size alongside the phrase.

    \"\"

However, Eisold claims Rhodes has \”blatantly\” breached this agreement by selling merchandise featuring \”American Nightmare\” without the required wrestling elements. The lawsuit alleges this has caused significant confusion among both fanbases, with fans accidentally purchasing merchandise intended for the other party.

Eisold, who co-founded American Nightmare in 1999, has built a significant presence in the punk rock scene over two decades. His band operates primarily out of Los Angeles, where they rehearse, record, and maintain their equipment. Meanwhile, Rhodes, who adopted the moniker as a tribute to his father Dusty Rhodes, currently holds the prestigious Undisputed WWE Champion title.

  • Seth Rollins Denies Captain America Trailer Cameo as MCU Role Remains Unclear

Speculation continues to swirl around WWE Superstar Seth Rollins\’ involvement in \”Captain America: Brave New World,\” with the wrestler himself recently clarifying his absence from the film\’s latest trailer.

The saga began in May 2023 when Rollins was photographed filming scenes for what was then titled \”Captain America: New World Order.\” Photographer Christopher Oquendo captured footage of Rollins on set, sparking initial fan excitement about his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.

While Rollins acknowledged his involvement in June 2023, stating he was \”sworn to secrecy\” about his role, the project\’s status became unclear earlier this year. Marvel insider \”CanWeGetSomeToast\” reported in January that Rollins\’ scenes, allegedly connected to the villainous Serpent Society, had been cut during reshoots.

The uncertainty peaked when fans believed they had spotted Rollins in military gear at the 1:44 mark of the recently released trailer. However, Rollins quickly dispelled these rumors, responding to fan speculation on Twitter with a simple \”Not me, kid. Sorry.\”

The film, which has faced various production challenges including delays, a title change, and impacts from the Hollywood strikes, is scheduled for release in February.

  • Rhea Ripley: We Took Women\’s Wrestling From \’Toilet Breaks\’ to Main Events

Rhea is proud of the evolution of women\’s wrestling in WWE, highlighting the significant progress made in recent years. In a recent interview with Jazzys World TV, Ripley addressed the historical challenges faced by female performers in professional wrestling.

Ripley, a multi-time WWE Women\’s World Champion believes that the biggest obstacle has been gaining respect and recognition within the industry. She specifically referenced how women\’s matches were once dismissively labeled as \”toilet breaks\” by audiences, despite the performers\’ dedication to their craft and desire to be viewed equally to their male counterparts.

\”We\’ve overcome a lot of obstacles, and it\’s been growing each and every year.\”

    – Rhea Ripley to Jazzs World TV

The former champion pointed out that female wrestlers consistently demonstrate their ability to perform at the same level as their male counterparts, if not exceed it. This determination has played a crucial role in changing perceptions and elevating women\’s wrestling to its current prominence, where female performers now regularly headline major events, including WrestleMania.

Currently, Ripley is sidelined indefinitely due to a broken orbital socket, having to relinquish her championship due to the injury.

  • Indi Hartwell Blindsided by WWE Release: ‘I Didn’t See It Coming’

Indi Hartwell shared her reaction to her WWE release in a recent video on her new YouTube channel. Reflecting on the unexpected news, she admitted, “I didn’t see it coming at all, especially since I’d been on TV pretty regularly.”

Despite the shock, Hartwell expressed gratitude for her WWE journey, saying, “It’s a bit bittersweet, but I’m choosing to focus on the good memories.”

Hartwell highlighted the positive aspects of her time in WWE, from memorable experiences to meaningful relationships. “I’m grateful for everything I learned and everyone I met along the way,” she told fans.

    Looking Ahead

Remaining lighthearted, she joked about having a “naughty list” for those who hadn’t reached out to her post-release. Hartwell invited fans to share their favorite moments from her WWE career and hinted at future plans she’s eager to share.

Fans can watch her full remarks on her new YouTube channel here:

  • WWE’s Banned Moves: Curb Stomp, Diving Headbutt and more

Certain wrestling moves are banned in WWE. This is primarily for the safety of the performers, showing the company’s commitment to minimizing the risk of serious injuries in the ring.

    1. Punt Kick: Originally used by Randy Orton, this move was banned after causing a concussion to Vince McMahon.

    2. Curb Stomp: Seth Rollins’ finisher was banned due to concerns about its safety and the risk of children replicating it.

    3. Diving Headbutt: Banned following the Chris Benoit tragedy, as it poses significant risks for concussions.

    4. Burning Hammer: An extremely dangerous move that involves dropping an opponent on their head; rarely performed safely.

    5. Brainbuster: This move drops an opponent directly on their head, making it highly risky and leading to its ban.

    6. Piledriver: Banned due to the high risk of severe neck injuries, particularly after Stone Cold Steve Austin’s injury in 1997.

  • Original Bloodline Reunites as Sami Zayn and The Usos Join Forces with Roman Reigns

On the November 8 episode of WWE SmackDown, after weeks of internal conflict and uncertainty, Roman Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn stood united against the new Bloodline.

The night began with Solo Sikoa and his faction—the “All-New, All-Different Bloodline”—demanding that the crowd in Buffalo acknowledge him as the undisputed Tribal Chief. But when Reigns entered the ring, Sikoa challenged him, claiming he didn’t need Reigns’s acknowledgment and taunting him by saying he could not be Tribal Chief without a tribe. Sikoa dared Reigns to find four partners to face his faction in a WarGames showdown.

Sikoa’s new Bloodline consists of himself, Tama Tonga, Jacob Fatu, and Tonga Loa, with the unexpected addition of Sami Zayn. However, when Zayn appeared, the night took a surprising turn. Instead of attacking Reigns as Sikoa instructed, Zayn delivered a Helluva Kick to Solo, signaling his allegiance to the original Bloodline.

The brawl escalated as The Usos joined the fray to aid Reigns and Zayn against Sikoa’s group. With the crowd in full support, Reigns landed a decisive Spear on Solo, marking a clear shift in the battle. In the final moments, Jey and Jimmy Uso raised their fingers in unity, signaling the Bloodline’s signature hand gesture. Zayn followed suit, and after a tense moment of consideration, Reigns joined them, solidifying their alliance.

This explosive reunion suggests a powerful original Bloodline faction heading into Survivor Series, with the likely setup for a high-stakes WarGames match against Sikoa’s faction. The faction dynamics have taken a new turn, with Reigns, The Usos, and Zayn now seemingly standing stronger than ever.

  • Kevin Owens’ Piledriver on Randy Orton May Have Caused ‘Undisclosed Cervical Injuries’

Tonight’s WWE SmackDown featured a brutal and shocking escalation in the feud between Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, with Owens delivering a banned piledriver that left Orton hospitalized.

The confrontation began after a commercial break when Orton took to the mic and called Owens out, demanding revenge for a previous attack at Crown Jewel. Owens appeared on the stage, restrained by road agent Petey Williams and referee Dan Engler, but broke free and charged into the ring. The two immediately clashed, with Orton briefly gaining the upper hand before Owens retaliated by hitting him with a piledriver—a move banned in WWE due to its high-risk nature.

As fans and commentators looked on in shock, road agents and referees rushed to check on Orton, who was ultimately loaded onto a stretcher and taken away in an ambulance. Cody Rhodes accompanied Orton to the hospital, underscoring the severity of the assault and its potential impact on existing alliances and storylines. Later in the show, Michael Cole provided an update, announcing that Orton was being evaluated for undisclosed cervical injuries.

Michael Cole and Corey Graves effectively sold the move’s dangerous reputation. Orton was taken away in an ambulance as medical personnel attended to him, with Cody Rhodes at his side.

  • Machine Gun Kelly Regrets Dissing The Rock at WrestleMania 28

Rapper Machine Gun Kelly recently reflected on a memorable misstep at WrestleMania 28, where his unintentional diss of WWE legend The Rock led to an unexpectedly hostile reaction from fans.

At WrestleMania 28, rapper Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) took an unexpected misstep by dissing The Rock before performing “Invincible” with Skylar Grey as part of John Cena’s entrance.

Not knowing that Miami was considered The Rock’s hometown, MGK commented on Cena being an “underdog” and made remarks that slighted The Rock. This led to overwhelming boos from the 70,000-strong crowd, which MGK later recalled as a jarring experience that taught him to have “thick skin.”

In a recent interview with Audacy’s Kevin Kenney, MGK admitted he hadn’t realized the significance of Miami to The Rock, who went on to defeat Cena in the event’s main event match. “I had no idea Miami was The Rock’s hometown… the whole stadium erupted in boos. I was like, ‘What did I do wrong?’”

Machine Gun Kelly has made several WWE television appearances over the years. He’s been in the crowd at big events, and even got physical on WWE Raw in 2015 after a live performance.
