  • Dolph Ziggler introduces the wrestling world to \’Wanted Man\’ Nic Nemeth

    Nick Nemeth (WWE legend Dolph Ziggler) has started the new year in a big way with a surprise appearance at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom and a slick-looking trailer introducing a new persona, the \’Wanted Man\’ Nic Nemeth.

    Nemeth, one of the top free agents in all of pro wrestling, introduces his persona in creative fashion. He\’s depicted in the back of a police car before a zombies attack occurs.

    The former World Champions fights them off and blows up the building as \’Wanted\’ posters with his face on it adorn the walls. Nemeth shows off his acting chops in the trailer, which featured an appearance from a rubber chicken (a nod to his stand-up comedy work) and a zombie getting his head kicked off at one of the worst \’Superkick Parties\’ ever.

    The song featured in the video clip is the self-titled ‘Wanted Man’ by the band Downstait. The short was executively produced by Nic Nemeth, Ryan Nemeth & Jake Hartmann, and written by Ryan Nemeth & Maggie Levin.

    Nic Nemeth keeps his options open 

    Nemeth has had a successful WWE career which spanned 19 years and he has had multiple accolades. Unfortunately, Nemeth\’s time in WWE came to an end when he was part of the first wave of releases after the launch of TKO Group Holdings. 

    Back in November, Nic Nemeth decided to get back to comedy and share the stage with his brother Ryan, something that they have done on multiple occasions in front of sold-out venues. They went on to host a special two-show Hunkamania tour. Now, months after his shocking release from WWE, Nemeth has arrived in New Japan Pro Wrestling. 

    With his decorated WWE career in the rearview mirror, Nemeth, a future Hall of Famer has doors of opportunities wide open with top promotions such as NJPW, AEW, TNA as well as the indies chasing his signature. This is something the \’Wanted Man\’ video implies. 

    We will have to wait and see which company lands the signing of Nic Nemeth.

  • Malakai Black Fires Back At A Fan Claiming He Refuses To Take Pins

    AEW star Malakai Black recently fired back at a fan, who made bold claims regarding him not competing in singles matches. 

    The former NXT Champion has been leading The House of Black stable, which comprises of Brody King and Buddy Matthews since returning from injury in October last year. 

    Black had been recuperating with a slight calf tear and knee hyperextension which put him on the sidelines for several months. However, fans have noticed that Malakai Black has not been competing in singles matches for quite some time now which sparked a rumor.

    One of the fans on social media claimed that Black has not only refused to lose singles matches but he has prioritized other talent over himself.

    Black couldn\’t help but fire back at the fan and called him a \”goofb**l\” and said that the claim was \”bull****\” and the former Aleister Black made it clear that he has never refused to lose or put someone over.

    \”Usually I don’t reply because these laughable takes from goofb*lls like this nerd is why this place is the equivalent of people opening their front doors and screaming their excrement laced opinions into the street, however: bull*****, never happened, isn’t a thing. Happy NY.\”

    It is well noted that Black hasn\’t competed in a singles match in over a year and it is something to think about. There were teases that he and Bryan Danielson would ignite a feud last year. However, AEW went in a different direction when Danielson suffered an injury. 

    It is unclear when Malakai Black will return to singles competition as he continues to compete in trios bouts with the other members of House of Black for the time being. In the past he has expressed his frustrations with the lack of singles matches in AEW. Read more below:

  • Kurtis \’Mad Kurt\’ Chapman Passes Away At 26

    British pro wrestler Kurtis Chapman has tragically passed away at the age of 26.

    He first started wrestling as a teenager almost a decade ago and gained popularity for his comedic in-ring approach. The cause of his death has not been disclosed yet. 

    English promotion Revolution Pro Wrestling reported the tragic news of his premature death:

    \”We, at Revolution Pro Wrestling are absolutely heartbroken to report the loss of our dear friend Kurtis Chapman.\”
     

    \”We watched Kurtis grow from a child to a young man who loved professional wrestling and continued to excel in all aspects of his life. One of the most gifted technical wrestlers, charismatic characters and magnetic personalities. He will never be forgotten.\”

    He has worked for the likes of PROGRESS Wrestling, IPW and others across the UK. Back in 2018, he won the RevPro British Cruiserweight Title and the title reign lasted for six months.

    His final match came in June this year when he successfully defended his Resurgence Arthouse Championship. 

    Tributes pour in for \’Mad Kurt\’

    ATTACK! Pro Wrestling, another British company who Chapman worked with, published a touching tribute on X. A picture of Mad Kurt was captioned: 

    \”Rest in peace, Kurtis.\”

    TNT Extreme Wrestling paid homage to the youngster by writing: 

    \”Everyone at TNT extends their deepest condolences to the loved ones of Kurtis Chapman, better known as Mad Kurt.  Kurtis was not just a well-respected performer but a dear friend. We will miss not just him but the laughter and light he brought to all of us dearly.\”

     Riot Cabaret Pro Wrestling wrote: 

    \”We\’re so sorry to hear this. Thinking of you all today and sending our deepest condolences to everyone who knew him.\”

    Wrestling fans have been in \”shock\” ever since the news broke on social media. One wrote: \”Just… can\’t believe this. RIP to someone who seemed to always be having the most fun he could at every opportunity. He\’s going to be incredibly missed!\”

    Another fan added: \”That\’s awful news, (he) was a really fun wrestler to watch and always looked like he was doing something he loved. My condolences to all his family and friends.\”

  • Hulk Hogan Recalls Christmas Mishap With NHL Legend

    Christmas brings along happiness for everyone but mishaps can still occur. One such incident has been shared by WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan which involved NHL legend Wayne Gretzky.

    It has come to light that the mishap took place decades ago right before Christmas. Both Gretzky and Hogan recalled that it occurred on Christmas Eve.

    They recalled that it happened when both were living just outside Los Angeles in Thousand Oaks. The two legends in their respective sports went on last-minute Christmas shopping and the valet mixed up the nearly identical cars of Gretzky and Hogan.

    This led to Hogan driving home with Gretzky’s car–and presents–while Gretzky did the same behind Hogan’s car. Recently, on This Past Weekend with Theo Von, Gretzky shared how he and Hulk Hogan accidentally wound up with each other’s Christmas gifts–and cars.

    Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Hogan shared his memories of that moment and he joked that he didn\’t want to give the car back.

    “I didn’t want to give the car back. He had all the expensive stuff in his trunk, I had toys in mine. I thought the presents might save my first marriage, but I had to give the car back.”

    \’The Hulkster\’ then laughed over the mix-up and said that hockey was not his passion sport while he was growing up. He praised the legendary Canadian NHL player Gretzky for having the ability to turn people into lifelong fans. We could tell that Gretzky managed to turn Hogan into a huge hockey fan.

  • NFL Legend Calvin Johnson Hails Roman Reigns As \’Badass\’

    NFL legend Calvin Johnson recently spoke highly of his former Georgia Tech football teammate and current WWE superstar Roman Reigns.

    Roman Reigns might be a household name in the world of pro wrestling but he had a run with Georgia Tech football team. Johnson shared the locker room with Reigns back in the day during their time in the football team. 

    Roman Reigns, whose real name is Leati Joseph Anoa?i. played on the defensive line and Johnson has lauded his toughness and leadership skills. The WWE Universal Champion made a reputation for his ferocious tackling on the field and as a locker room leader. 

    Calvin Johnson sheds praise on Roman Reigns

    Reigns\’ leadership was recognized by his teammates and he was eventually voted the team\’s co-captain. Speaking with TMZ Sports, Johnson said:

    \”He was just always like a badass, He didn\’t say much, but when he did say something, you listened.\”

    In his collegiate career for the Yellow Jackets, Roman Reigns has played 25 games and racked 65 tackles and 6.5 sacks. He penned a deal with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent. In addition to this, he had an offseason stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He decided to end his professional football career by 2008 and eventually joined WWE.

    Roman Reigns is not only leading The Bloodline but also has been on an unstoppable run. His ongoing historic title reign has crossed 1,213 days. He has destroyed whichever superstar has tried to dethrone him in the past three years. Recently, he had a successful title defense against LA Knight at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

    Roman Reigns will now put his title on line at the Royal Rumble next year. The winner of the triple threat match featuring Randy Orton, LA Knight, and AJ Styles will be the new #1 contender at New Year\’s Revolution edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

  • CM Punk Reveals His Favorite Holiday Tradition

    WWE star CM Punk recently talked about his favorite Holiday tradition amid Christmas celebrations.

    WWE has been adding to the holiday spirit as they have delayed their live events until the final five days of the year. CM Punk, who recently made his return to WWE spoke with his biggest fan and NXT star Cora Jade. In a TikTok video, they reminisced about their ways of celebrating the holidays.

    It is needless to mention that Cora Jade is a massive fan of CM Punk, and a video of her meeting the star while she was a child went viral in the past. Years before she joined WWE, Jade was spotted being emotional while meeting Punk. They finally had a reunion at NXT Deadline during a backstage interview with Jade. Punk told her that he is proud of how far she has come.

    CM Punk loves putting up the Christmas tree with AJ Lee 

    Cora Jade recently posted a new video with CM Punk on her Instagram which saw her being asked to name her favorite WWE holiday traditions. The former NXT Women\’s Tag Team Champion said that she loved meeting superstars during the holiday tour and showed an image of her meeting Punk back in the day. 

    Punk then revealed that his favorite Christmas tradition is putting up the tree with his wife, former superstar AJ Lee. 

    Cora Jade is aiming to capture the NXT Women\’s Championship currently held by Lyra Valkyria. Meanwhile, CM Punk will make his in-ring return to WWE in the upcoming WWE live event match against The Judgm

  • Officials Aiming To \’Lure\’ The Rock For Elimination Chamber 2024

    Officials in Australia are seemingly interested in bringing The Rock to next year\’s Elimination Premium Live Event in Perth, Australia.  

    WWE will host the 2024 Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event in Perth, Australia on February 24, 2024 and some of the biggest stars will perform at the event. 

    The Rock\’s last appearance took place on the September 15, 2023 edition of SmackDown where he had a promo exchange with Austin Theory. Alongside Pat McAfee, \’The Great One\’ laid Theory out with back-to-back People\’s Elbows.

    Officials are trying to \’lure\’ The Rock 

    It has come to light that tourism officials in Australia have launched an early bid to \’lure\’ the Hollywood megastar to Perth as part of negotiations with WWE.

    In emails obtained by The Sunday Times, under freedom of information laws, tourism officials raised a string of questions about the deal with the WWE. It included whether they could lure stars down under for the Elimination Chamber at Optus Stadium on February 24.

    “What ability does the host have to dictate key talent to participate in a standalone premium live event? For example, could we aim to secure WWE alumni such as Dwayne Johnson?” Tourism WA staff asked. However, WWE’s response was redacted.

    This fuels speculation The Rock will join the Elimination Chamber event at Optus. The West Australian had previously revealed in September the growing speculation that \’The Great One\’ could make his return.

    Some top stars are set to be a part of Elimination Chamber 2024

    Wrestling stars Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, and Australian-born Rhea Ripley are already lined up for the event and Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti dropped teased future announcements on more WWE stars coming to Perth. 

    “It’d be huge having someone like the Rock here in Western Australia. I saw he made a surprise appearance recently at a SmackDown! event, so of course, we’d love to see him in the ring as part of this exclusive event,” Ms Saffioti said.

    “This is such a huge opportunity for Western Australia — WWE has millions and millions of loyal followers right around the globe, and we are so excited that we get to showcase what we have to offer as part of this exclusive event, right here in Perth.

    “There’ll be more announcements made soon about other WWE stars making the trip to Perth, so stay tuned.”

    We will now have to wait and see if The Rock makes his return at the Elimination Chamber 2024.

  • Adam Copeland vs Christian and More Announced For AEW Worlds End

    AEW Worlds End is just a week away and it has been made official that Adam Copeland will face Christian Cage at the pay-per-view. Two more title matches have been announced as well.

    Following a surprising defeat in the headlining match in Montreal, Quebec, on AEW Dynamite, Adam Copeland issued a challenge to Christian Cage to a no-disqualification match. On last night\’s AEW Collision which emanated from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas, Christian Cage gave his response. 

    Cage also accepted Copeland’s challenge and the match will see Cage put his TNT Championship on the line. During the show, Shayna Wayne also explained why she helped Cage defeat Copeland.

    Cage said he would accept Copeland’s challenge to a fight because according to him, it’s not a challenge as he’s already beaten him.

    Meanwhile, Hook also accepted a challenge from Wheeler Yuta, and the match will take place for the FTW Championship in an FTW Rules match at Worlds End. Hook, while accepting the challenge stated that he would do it under his rules.

    It was also confirmed that TBS Champion Julia Hart will defend her title against Abadon, as the two have ignited a feud in recent weeks. On Saturday’s Collision, Thunder Rosa and Abadon teamed up and faced Julia Hart and Skye Blue in a winning effort.

  • Thunder Rosa Makes Triumphant In-Ring Return On AEW Collision

    Former AEW Women\’s World Champion Thunder Rosa returned to in-ring action on the latest edition of AEW Collision.

    Rosa had been on the sidelines since August last year after sustaining a back injury that prevented her from defending the AEW Women\’s World Championship. Toni Storm went on to become interim AEW Women\’s World Champion as Rosa relinquished the title in November. Storm was later declared the AEW Women\’s World Champion.

    \’La Mera Mera\’ surprised the fans when she returned last week after being sidelined for over 16 months. Rosa had interfered in the brawl between Julia Hart and Abadon and later her first match following her return was officially announced.

    On last night\’s AEW Collision, Rosa joined forces with Abadon to face the TBS Women\’s Champion, Julia Hart, and her new ally, Skye Blue. The exciting tag team match saw some great spots and fans went wild when Rosa got tagged in.

    It was the former Women\’s World Champion who eventually scored the pinfall to give her side the victory. This marked her first win after her last match back in August 2022.

    In the past, Rosa\’s injury sparked some controversy when she faced accusations of exaggeration. There were reports of backstage tensions with her female colleagues as well. However, Rosa has been clarified several times that her injury was legitimate.

    Fans had been eagerly waiting for the return of La Mera Mera to the ring. Now that she has returned she would certainly try to go up the ladders and reclaim the AEW Women\’s World Championship, the title she never lost in the first place. 

  • Former Tag Team Champions Set For Return and Form New Faction on SmackDown

    The Authors of Pain (Akam & Rezar) with Paul Ellering are set to make their return and join forces with Karrion Kross.

    There has been a buzz regarding Authors of Pain returning to WWE soon. As it seems, Akam and Rezar are indeed returning with Paul Ellering by their side.

    On this week\’s Friday Night SmackDown, WWE dropped a vignette featuring Karrion Kross and Scarlett. They talked about the list of superstars who competed against him and noted that they changed soon after. He took credit for the changes and dropped hints that the \’authors\’ were coming.

    \”Even the greatest proclamation is soon to be forgotten without a scribe … without Authors.\”

    Authors of Pain had re-signed with WWE last year before Vince McMahon returned as Chairman earlier this year. The duo were part of the WWE travel plans since May this year. However, there were no creative plans for them. 

    If reports are to be believed Authors of Pain will officially return to television at SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution in two weeks on the January 5, 2024. 

    Authors of Pain are two-time tag team champions in WWE. Ahead of their main roster move, they had captured the NXT Tag Team Championship and went on to become the RAW Tag Team Champions.

    The two powerhouses Akam and Rezar were also aligned with the former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins on Raw. This time around, it seem Karrion Kross will be leading them and they could be the next big thing on the blue brand.

  • Ex-WWE Star Jessica McKay Welcomes Her First Child

    Jessica McKay (formerly Billie Kay in WWE) has become a mother after welcoming her first child on Wednesday. 

    Previously, McKay had shared a video that revealed that she was expecting a baby. The former WWE Superstar had also shared a sonogram of her child.

    The former IIconics member recently took to her Instagram account and announced that baby Cooper was born on December 20. 

    \”Cooper ??12/20/2023. So in love with our little Coop,\” she wrote.

    Several wrestlers sent messages to Jessica McKay in the comments section. Her tag-IIconics team partner Cassie Lee/Peyton Royce, who welcomed the birth of her first child in January, wrote: \”I love him ??????\”

    \”Ahhhhhh ?? congratulations!!!\” Tenille Dashwood wrote.

    Jessica McKay has competed in her native Australia for years before she signed with WWE in 2015. She was aligned with Cassie Lee (Peyton Royce) the next year. In 2019, the pair won the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championships. However, they were forced to split in August 2020. 

    IIconics were released in 2021 but the pair reunited in IMPACT Wrestling and became the first tag team to hold the WWE Women\’s Tag Titles and IMPACT Knockouts Tag Titles, going by the name IInspiration. 

    The duo decided to step away from the ring in April last year and McKay was cast in the film The Charisma Killers a few days later. Recently, the duo\’s \’Off Her Chops\’ podcast was added to Premier+ and the Premier Podcast Network,

  • Hiroshi Tanahashi is New Japan Pro Wrestling’s New President & Representative Director

    Japanese wrestling great Hiroshi Tanahashi has been named the new President and Representative Director of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW).

    Takami Ohbari has been President and Representative Director of NJPW since 2020 and will step down from the role on December 23. Another Director, Michiaki Nishizawa is also set to step down on the same date.

    Along with Tanahashi’s appointment, Hitoshi Matsumoto (Chief of Business Production for TV Asahi) and Taro Okada (President & CEO of Bushiroad Fight) have been named Directors of the company. Okada will be a Director on a part time basis.

    \’The Ace of the Universe\’ has been one of the top stars of the promotion. He had captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship for the first of a record, eight times in 2006 and he has been a four-time pro-wrestling MVP. He has been hailed as the ‘Ace’ of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. 

    Official announcement on Hiroshi Tanahashi\’s appointment

    On Friday evening, in an announcement on NJPW website, it was announced that the eight-time IWGP Heavyweight Champion has been appointed the new President & Representative Director of New Japan Pro Wrestling. This appointment came following a meeting of NJPW’s board of directors and shareholders.

    Tanahashi is set to talk about his new role at Wrestle Kingdom 18 on January 4. The also sent a message for the NJPW fans:

    \”Thank you for your ongoing support of New Japan Pro-Wrestling. On January 4 at Belc Presents Wrestle Kingdom 18 in the Tokyo Dome, Hiroshi Tanahashi will address the fans directly in his new role as President. NJPW looks forward to your continued support under the new leadership structure.\”

    Hiroshi Tanahashi took to his Twitter and wrote: 

    \”I have been appointed as the representative director and president of New Japan Pro Wrestling Co., Ltd. We will do our best to help you enjoy New Japan Pro Wrestling even more. You won\’t get tired, so don\’t worry ???\”

    WWE star Shinsuke Nakamura also sent out a short Tweet on the same:

    It has been also revealed that there will be a press conference on December 26 at 1PM JST regarding the aforementioned changes. 

  • Logan Paul Reacts to South Park Hilariously Parodying Him

    WWE United States Champion Logan Paul recently responded with a parody of South Park after they made a spoof of him.

    Fans witnessed a new episode of South Park which mocked the YouTube sensation and his Prime energy drink. 

    The satirical animation’s recent special South Park: Not Suitable For Children was released on Paramount+ in the UK on December 21. The special saw the character Clyde Donovan sitting in front of his computer as he watches Logan LeDouche.

    LeDouche is an influencer who is clearly a parody of the YouTuber, promotes his energy drink “Cred”, with packaging similar to Paul’s brand. 

    LaDouche promoted his product on a YouTube parody and said:

    “When I feel like I can’t be myself, that’s when I need a hydration drink that will pick me up. That’s when I need Cred.”

    “It’s the coolest sports drink in the world! Cred is 100 per cent sugar free. Cred has electolytes so you can ride your bike. And also Cred has more vitamin A than your body can possibly ever use.

    LeDouche added the following before jumping out of a plane in a stunt similar to Paul’s marketing techniques for Prime. He said:

    “Drink Cred or you’re a piece of sh*t.\”

    The United States Champion took to his Twitter account and uploaded a video of himself, and he recreated the ‘South Park’ parody, scene for scene.

    \’Not Suitable For Kids\’ will be the sixth South Park special to stream on Paramount+, following South Park: Post Covid, South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid, South Park: The Streaming Wars and South Park: The Streaming Wars Part 2 and South Park: Joining the Panderverse.

    The special is now available on Paramount+ in the UK. It will arrive internationally, including in Australia, Latin America, Brazil, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and Italy on Saturday, December 23.

    Meanwhile, Logan Paul will defend his United States Championship at a later date against the winner of the ongoing United States Title tournament.

  • Dragon Lee: Details On Deal With WWE For New Masked Republic Merchandise

    WWE NXT North American Champion Dragon Lee is included in Masked Republic’s new merchandise line and some details have come to light regarding the deal.

    Dragon Lee has become one of the fastest-rising superstars in WWE. He gained massive popularity in a short period of time and most recently captured the NXT North American Championship by defeating Dominik Mysterio at NXT Deadline. 

    Meanwhile, Masked Republic recently announced a new merchandise & apparel line with Mad Engine last week which is around their Cinelucha brand. It is available on Amazon and it\’s worth noting that it includes a licensed Dragon Lee T-Shirt. 

    As Lee is signed to WWE, some fans might wonder how the deal is possible as WWE doesn\’t allow to sell the superstar merch through a third party. 

    Dragon Lee has a unique WWE deal

    It has come to light via PWInsider that the new Dragon Lee merch was approved by WWE as part of Masked Republic’s Lucha Libre Agency negotiating Lee’s WWE contract.

    Last year, in a press release it was mentioned that The Lucha Libre Agency negotiated WWE agreement for Dragon Lee. 

    It contained unique terms that would allow Lee to continue with his contracted Legends of Lucha Libre officially licensed products from parent company Masked Republic.

    Additionally, it would allow him to continue with entertainment projects which included starring in the forthcoming middle-grade book series from Future House Publishing in which he and his brothers will be featured as monster-fighting luchadors.

    Masked Republic has also been quite busy helping a number of international stars secure work visas so they can perform for top promotions such as WWE, AEW, and other promotions.

  • Kenny Omega \’Doing Better\’ But A Long Road Ahead For Recovery

    We have a positive health update on AEW star Kenny Omega.

    \’The Cleaner\’ is currently out of action for an indefinite period after he was diagnosed with diverticulitis following his recent match with Ethan Page. The former AEW World Champion was hospitalized immediately after the match.

    It\’s worth noting that Omega and Chris Jericho, together known as Golden Jets were scheduled to compete in a tag team match at the AEW\’s final pay-per-view of the year, AEW Worlds End. However, that match has been nixed due to Omega\’s absence.

    Update on Kenny Omega

    Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer shared an update on Omega’s health condition and revealed that he’s doing a lot better. However, he has long road ahead of him.

    “It’s been six days since Omega was hospitalized. And by the way, he is doing better, but he’s got a long road ahead of him.”

    In addition to his, Meltzer said that he’s working on the idea that Omega will be out for a long time.

    “I’m going to go with the idea that Omega is out for a long, long time, so I’m not going to figure him into this [building up challengers for AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF] right now until later.”

    This week on AEW Dynamite, Omega\’s tag team partner Chris Jericho spoke about him. Jericho stated that \’The Cleaner\’ would be out of action indefinitely and he also has no timetable to return as of now. 

    Moreover, he also mentioned that Omega\’s absence has impacted The Golden Jets\’ shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship at World\’s End. However, \’The Demo God\’ believes Omega\’s health was of utmost importance and wished him a speedy recovery. He concluded his promo by assuring that their tag team run would resume once Omega returns.

    5-time Grammy Award nominee Dua Lipa recently shared her experience of working with WWE legend John Cena in \’Barbie\’

    The movie starred Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken. Gerwig directed Barbie and the screenplay was by Gerwig & Oscar nominee Noah Baumbach. The popular movie which is based on Barbie by Mattel, hit the theatres earlier this summer on Friday, July 21.

    Early in the filming of Barbie, director Greta Gerwig and composer and producer Mark Ronson decided on a track to score the film’s first big dance scene. Ronson reached out to disco queen, Dua Lipa, and asked her to come on board for “Dance the Night.”

    Her cameo as a mermaid came along later and with this movie, she made her acting debut. It was also a reunion with legendary wrestler John Cena, whom she met while working on the film Argylle, which will be released in February.

    Speaking with Vanity Fair, Lipa stated that Cena is her \’emotional support actor.\’ She further praised the 16-time World Champion and said:

    “It seems like I can’t seem to do anything without him! He’s really my emotional support actor. It was fab, and he’s amazing, and I absolutely love working with John. He’s such a great guy and so lovely.”

    In addition to this, Lipa said she was happy to see Barbiemania creating a buzz and had even joined in with a pink look at the film’s premiere in July.

     “Everyone can embrace it in their own way,” she said of Barbie’s spirit.

  • Gunther Comments On Possibly Facing Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 40

    WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther yet again expressed his desire to face Brock Lesnar, that too at WrestleMania 40. 

    \’The Ring General\’ has been on an unstoppable run as WWE Intercontinental Champion and has defeated every opponent who has challenged him. One of the credible challengers who could put his title reign at jeopardy is none other than Brock Lesnar.

    Both the superstars have expressed their desire to face each other but they are yet to lock horns inside the squared circle. Meanwhile, \’The Beast Incarnate\’ has been away from WWE programming. 

    Gunther mentions Brock Lesnar

    While on SiriusXM Busted Open, Gunther said that he feels he needs to prove his status as the \’end boss\’ and that could be possible if he manages to defeat Lesnar. He said:

    \”I don\’t know if WrestleMania 40 is the time for that but we\’ll see but I feel like in the long run the one name I always bring up is Brock because I feel like I’m the end boss to a lot of people. But I feel like Brock is somebody perfected being an end boss and I got to prove myself with him in the ring too.\” 

    Could we see Gunther vs Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 40?

    WWE is set to host Royal Rumble next month and that could be the perfect way to sow the seeds for the Lesnar-Gunther feud and it could lead to a clash at WrestleMania 40.

    WWE also dropped a subtle hint about Lesnar\’s appearance at WrestleMania 40. The promotional materials for WrestleMania 40 feature the former WWE Universal Champion and there is certainly a possibility that the two titans could share the ring at the Tropicana Field event.

    There have been reports floating that the company is considering the high-profile match between the two on \’The Grandest Stage of Them All.\’

    WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan feels Randy Orton fits quite well in the current WWE roster.

    The wrestling icon battled Orton in his final WWE match, which took place at SummerSlam in 2006 and \’The Apex Predator\’ has gone on to mature and become one of the all time greats.

    Randy Orton recently returned to WWE following an 18-month absence as he dealt with nagging back injuries. Orton looks to be in great shape and at 43, his wrestling style and approach have changed.

    Speaking with Sports Illustrated, Hulk Hogan opened up on how \’The Viper\’ has changed his wrestling style over the years and has managed to coordinate well with the younger talents.

    “Watching Randy now, he fits perfectly. Not only does he adjust to the styles of the young guys, but watch his matches. He slows guys down and teaches them in the match. On the spot, he calls audibles and shows them how to do it. Open my hand, here’s the diamond. He’s transitioned from old school to this hybrid.”

    \’The Hulkster\’ isn\’t in a good shape to make a comeback to the squared circle but he knows who he would wrestle if he ever return. He said:

    “If I wasn’t all beat to hell, I’d love to get in the ring with Randy. We could still tear it down in the main event. Randy could call it in the ring, and he could adjust to my style to make sure it worked perfectly. He’s just so good. He can work with veterans and the newer guys, too. He knows how to pivot both ways in the ring. He understands wrestling in a way very few do. That’s why he is making masterpieces in the ring.”

    Randy Orton recently competed in the Men\’s WarGames match at Survivor Series at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. The multi-time World Champion helped his team comprising Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn to score the win over The Judgment Day and Drew McIntyre.     Samoa Joe is gearing up for AEW Worlds End pay-per-view where he will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship. Ahead of AEW\’s final pay-per-view, he has shed light on his inspiration which has helped him polish his mic skills for almost two decades.

    \’The Samoan Submission Machine\’ remains to be one of the most feared opponents in the pro wrestling industry. For a man of his size, the in-ring athleticism is remarkable and it has kept him the standout wrestler for years. 18 years have passed since Joe made a breakthrough as a pro wrestler and he has top promotions in his resume including TNA/Impact, NXT, WWE, ROH, and AEW. 

    Not only his in-ring ability, but his promo skills are unparalleled. He has revealed that the inspiration for scathing promos comes from movies.

    In an interview with Orlando Sentinel, the two-time AEW TNT Champion revealed that he’s been enjoying the matches from Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) from Mexico: 

    “It’s great action, and they obviously have a lot of guys who are tremendously skilled,” he said. 

    However, he has drawn inspiration for big talk from action movies.

    “Most of my inspiration comes from outside the (wrestling) industry,” Joe said. “I watch a lot of drama, a lot of big action films, with great speakers plying their trade. I’ll see something that inspires me, recycle it, change it and make it my own.”

    Joe is gearing up for his shot at MJF\’s World title and wants the champ to be at his best. Thereby, the veteran star is trying to protect him and even teamed up with him in the past. During the same interview, Joe said that MJF presents challenges for him and he\’ll be merciless at Worlds End. He said:

    “MJF presents some unique challenges for me. He’s got an abrasive tongue and wit. He’s duplicitous when he needs to be. But I plan to take a healthy MJF and beat him in due course. I’ll pummel him unmercifully when the time comes at Worlds End.”

    We will have to wait and see if Samoe Joe manages to live up to his words at AEW Worlds End which takes place on Saturday, December 30 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in New York.

  • Rey Fenix Pulled From Indie Event Due to Injury

    Rey Fenix was scheduled to have a match at Prestige Wrestling next month. However, he will be missing the event due to injury.

    Prestige Wrestling recently announced that Rey Fenix will be unable to compete on January 5 at Roseland due to an injury. Fenix was scheduled to face Samuray Del Sol at the event. It was further revealed that Lio Rush will be replacing him.

    Fenix has been dealing with a nagging injury for quite some time. He has been out of action for several months. He previously was part of the four-way tag team match at AEW WrestleDream in Seattle where the winning team earned a championship match against FTR.

    The four teams in the match were The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Lucha Brothers (Penta & Rey Fenix), The Gunns (Austin & Colten Gunn), and Orange Cassidy & Hook. 

    In the initial stage of the match. Fenix was thrown into the barricades a few times. The ringside doctors soon attended him and he was taken to the back. It was reported that it was this match in which he sustained the injury.

    Fenix competed on the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite when he lost the AEW International Championship to Orange Cassidy. In the final moments of the match, Cassidy hit an Orange Punch to score the pinfall and captured the title to become a two-time AEW International Champion. This ended Fenix\’s reign as champion which lasted only 20 days and it marked his last match before getting sidelined.

    It is to be seen when Rey Fenix manages to make his return to action.

  • CJ Perry Reveals What Led To Her Finger Infection That Required Surgery

    AEW star CJ Perry recently provided a new update following her surgery. She revealed how the finger infection occurred. 

    The Hot and Flexible one was recently scheduled to make an appearance at CMLL representing Andrade El Idolo. However, he was forced to miss the show. She also missed the December 16 edition of AEW Collision.

     Fans were worried about her health and over the weekend, Perry took to her social media account and pictures which revealed a finger infection, leading to a visit to the emergency room. 

    The former WWE star went on to reveal that it required surgery and that she would be admitted to hospital.She revealed that the infection worsened and she even had to stay at the hospital for more than 50 hours.

    Fortunately, CJ Perry underwent a successful surgery, and her real-life husband and AEW star Miro took to his Instagram and uploaded a photo of Perry at the hospital and said she\’s recovering.

    The former Lana recently shared a positive update on her recovery. In a video clip posted on Instagram, Perry revealed that she got injured by a small splinter while backstage during an AEW show and she also urged the fans to be cautious of them because it can lead to a fatal infection.

    \”I have been in the hospital since Saturday, fighting a fatal infection that came from getting a small splinter backstage at work this past Wednesday. Please keep me in your prayers. And everyone really take care of any cuts you get. As small as a splinter can turn into a deadly infection. Love all of you guys and thank you to everyone who has reached out,\” Perry wrote.

    Currently, Perry is serving as the on-screen manager of Andrade El Idolo and they have been involved in a storyline with Miro. We will have to wait and see how that progresses when she returns.

  • MJF maintains that he still hasn’t re-signed with AEW

    AEW World Champion MJF recently confirmed that he hasn\’t inked a new deal with AEW.

    \’The Salt of The Earth\’ has been quite candid about his contract status and heavily spoke about the “bidding war of 2024.” He is set to become a free agent on January 1st, 2024. He hasn\’t mentioned the Bidding War of 2024 in a while, and fans have wondered about his future.

    There have been rumors that MJF signed a new AEW deal that will keep him around for years. However, while speaking with SI Media, MJF said that fans leak things that they want to be true and gave examples of rumors about Cody Rhodes re-signing with AEW and CM Punk having a cordial relationship with Tony Khan, which weren\’t true. He said that after AEW Worlds End pay-per-view later this month, he\’ll assess his contract situation. He said:

    \”When stuff like that gets leaked out it makes me laugh because I remember something like Cody having secretly re-signed, then he showed up (in WWE). Something got leaked out about CM Punk or Tony Khan…I think fans leak out things that they want to be true. I love AEW, I wanna stay in AEW. for professional setting.\”

    When asked if he re-signed with AEW, MJF said:

     \”Not yet\”

    MJF could join WWE

    Cody Rhodes transitioned from AEW to WWE last year and many believed that several other stars would follow the suit. Soon, Jade Cargill also made a similar move this year and fans are still waiting for her official in-ring debut. It seems we can\’t rule out MJF joining WWE. Even \’The American Nightmare\’ believes the same.

    The AEW World Champion has teased signing with WWE from time to time. However, these teases have stopped since he turned babyface. 

    In the past, MJF had a tryout for WWE as part of 2011\’s Tough Enough. He also appeared as a security guard during a segment with Samoa Joe, which has been referenced several times.

    We will now have to wait and see what the future holds for MJF. 

  • Chris Jericho Responds to Fan\’s Suggestion of Taking a Break

    AEW star Chris Jericho recently responded to a fan who suggested him to take time off in order to give the fans a chance to miss him.

    Jericho\’s tag-team partner Kenny Omega is currently out of action for an indefinite period as he was diagnosed with diverticulitis following his match with Ethan Page. \’The Cleaner\’ was admitted to hospital immediately after the match and shared an update on his health condition.

    It\’s worth noting that Omega and Chris Jericho were set to compete in a tag team match at the AEW\’s final pay-per-view of the year, AEW Worlds End. However, that match has been called off at the moment. 

    As Omega is sidelined, a fan took to Twitter and opined that \’The Demo God\’ should take some time off and give the fans an opportunity to miss him.

    Chris Jericho is not only having a great time in AEW but he also has some outside projects. Most recently, it came to light that he will be reprising his role in the upcoming Terrifier 3. He had a cameo in Terrifier 2, and it has now been confirmed that he will make a comeback in the sequel of the movie.

    Jericho was briefly featured in Terrifier 2 credits scene, which set up the next installment in the series. Terrifier 3 will hit the theaters on October 25, 2024.

  • Former WWE Star Teasing a Return At The Royal Rumble 2024

    Fans are buzzing after former WWE star Chris Masters recently dropped a video clip on social media. It seems that he is teasing a return to the company. 

    Masters debuted on WWE Raw in 2005 and was a standout superstar due to his impressive physique. He used a Full Nelson finisher known as the Masterlock which gave his opponents no choice but the tap out in many matches.

    \’The Masterpiece\’ had a couple of runs in WWE from 2005 to 2007 and then again from 2009 to 2011. Following his departure from the company, Masters went by his ring name Adonis, and has been competing on the independent circuit. He also became the NWA National Heavyweight Champion twice.

    Chris Masters took to Twitter and shared a video of himself inside a hallway which sparked speculation that he could be returning during the Royal Rumble Premium Live Event next year.

    Earlier this year, during an interview with Chris Van Vliet, the former WWE star spoke about his run at WWE and discussed the possibilities of a return to the company. He said:

    “I’ve never even thought about going back to WWE, honestly, because, and it’s not out of anything bitter. It’s just, you know, I had a couple of runs there and it ended the way it did. And, you know, I just realized that my love is for professional wrestling even if it’s not with WWE. But you know, with everything that I’ve learned in the last couple of years and then also seen Shelton, Carlito, MVP all my buddies you know, I finally started you know, looking at it and it was more out of this what you just mentioned.”

    “It was more not out of Chris Masters coming back, it was more out of because I remember getting in touch with that young wrestling fan. I remember what is it that we’re always looking for? We’re looking for that oh sh*t moment you know, I mean, like that Ultimate Warrior comeback at WrestleMania 8. It’s not to say anything I could do can measure to that but the Bobby Lashley scenario is fascinating because I haven’t been there for so long though.”

    WWE is planning to make this year\’s Royal Rumble more special. CM Punk recently announced that he will be in the namesake match. The event is certainly generating massive hype among the fans with big ticket sales already recorded more than a month before the show.

    Former WWE star Matt Riddle recently spoke about the possibility of facing YouTuber Jake Paul in a boxing bout.

    YouTubers such as KSI, Logan Paul and his brother Jake Paul are trained boxers. There has been a buzz that \’The Original Bro\’ and Jake Paul could lock horns and it seems we can\’t rule out that match.

    Riddle has immense experience in combat sports including Muay Thai and kickboxing. Riddle recently revealed that he would love to face Paul in a boxing bout.

    Speaking with MuscleManMalcolm, Matt Riddle was asked if he would like to fight Jake Paul in a boxing match to which he replied that he would grab the opportunity. He made it clear that he would accept any fight for money. He said:

    \”I mean yeah, I\’ll do anything for some money.\”

    He further added that he would prefer a mixed martial arts fight instead of a conventional boxing match. He said:

    \”But I prefer doing Mixed Martial Arts. Sp yeah, boxing whatever, kick boxing, whatever. I\’ll fight anybody anytime.\” 

    Before joining WWE, Riddle had a run with UFC when he debuted at UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter 7 in 2008. He remarkably combined Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and kickboxing techniques in his fights. In 12 matches inside the octagon, Riddle won eight times.

    Jake Paul is supposed to make his MMA debut in 2024 as a part of the PFL\’s newly created Super Fight division. He is set to face former UFC star Nate Diaz. Last weekend, Paul also emerged victorious via TKO over Andre August in a boxing bout.

    Meanwhile, Riddle parted ways with WWE back in September after embroiling in controversial matters. He has since teased the fans about a return to MMA. 

    Recently, reports emerged that \’The Problem Child\’ rejected an offer to face Riddle after being contacted by the latter\’s camp. With Jake Paul making his MMA debut in 2024, the possibility of facing Matt Riddle remains in place.
