  • Bayley Receives Opponents For Title Match At WWE WrestleMania 36

    A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 36 PPV and it involves Bayley. 

    During Friday Night SmackDown, WWE had former WWE Divas Champion Paige make an appearance via Skype where she did a segment with WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks. 

    This is where it was announced that Bayley would defend her title against Banks, Dana Brooke Tamina, Naomi, Lacey Evans in a Six Pack Challenge Match. As of this writing, there’s no word yet on which night this match will take place. 

    WWE presents the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event as a two-night event on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. Both nights start at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT will air on the WWE Network.

  • Details On Whether WWE Has Reached Out To CM Punk

    With CM Punk watching WWE programming again through his work on the WWE Backstage show that airs weekly on FS1, there have been some rumors about his status with the company. 

    For those who are wondering whether WWE has contacted CM Punk for a return at WrestleMania 36, there is no truth to any rumors going around about this possibility, according to PWInsider. 

    Last year, Seth Rollins had called out Punk for a match. This was around the time that Punk signed with FOX Sports for a role on WWE Backstage. For whatever reason, rumors started up again recently that WWE could book Punk vs. Rollins at WrestleMania but that’s not true. 

    In fact, the report states there has been zero communication between WWE officials and Punk. This includes a match or an appearance on television let alone WrestleMania. 

    WWE never made an offer to Punk and the rumored talks never took place. Also, there has been no internal talk about using Punk in WWE

    WWE hasn\’t even promoted Punk\’s appearances on the FOX Sports show in recent months after some comments he has made on social media. To be clear, he is not signed with WWE but rather he is signed to FOX.

    Rollins is slated to wrestle Kevin Owens at WrestleMania. Despite his recent jab at Roman Reigns over WWE holding WrestleMania 36 in an empty venue is one way to guarantee no boos for “The Big Dog,” things haven’t changed between Punk and WWE.

  • Matt Hardy Shares Original Plan For AEW Debut, Talks Atmosphere Of The Promotion

    Matt Hardy made an appearance on Talk is Jericho for a new interview after making his promotional debut on Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite. 

    His debut took place after the main event that saw The Inner Circle beat The Elite in a six-man tag team match. This is where we saw Vanguard 1 fly into the crowd and Hardy standing in the bleachers. 

    Hardy talked about the original plans for Vanguard 1. Dynamite was supposed to be in Rochester, NY but had to be moved to Jacksonville, Florida due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. 

    Vanguard wouldn’t have been able to be used inside of the arena due to FCC regulations if the event had been held in Rochester. 

    \”It\’s definitely different. Once again, if you have a Vanguard 1 drone flying in, it\’s an inanimate object,\” Hardy said. \”Originally, the drone was going to fly back to me, and we were gonna get a really cool beauty shot, but that didn\’t happen. I went ahead because we\’re doing live TV. It was kind of like an audible.\”

    Hardy also talked about how AEW is such a laid-back atmosphere. He brought up knowing some talent in AEW from previous promotions. He noted how it was different from WWE as he didn’t have to ask Vince then go through all those different levels of authority. 

    Hardy said that it was easy to get things done in AEW and even did some promos and vignettes at the end of the night.

    \”It was very easy, and it was very not to have any kind of restraints on you and just go and be creative and do your thing and do you because nobody does themselves better than them.”

    Hardy stated that when the talent knows their strengths and weaknesses and you gravitate towards your strengths then that’s where the magic is. 

    \”I think basically, the whole framework of AEW, from what I\’ve seen so far, is there\’s like an outline, this is where we want to go, this is what we want you to do to get there, how do you suggest we get there, and the talent fills in the blanks. That\’s magic. That\’s the beauty of this business.\”

    Hardy will join The Elite to take on The Inner Circle next week in the Blood & Guts Match.

  • Possible Title Matches For WrestleMania 36

    The card for WrestleMania 36 is far from being finalized. 

    While the company has announced several matches for the show, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the belief is the show will change in some ways. However, those changes have yet to be confirmed. 

    Per the report, the original plans of having 16 total matches might be back in place. This plan had changed due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, but that was before the decision to split the show into two nights was made. 

    The belief is that plans for WrestleMania 36 will likely be finalized this week. 

    Potential matches that could be added to the show include RAW Tag Team Champions The Street Profits, John Morrison and The Miz\’s SmackDown Tag Team Titles, WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, Andrade\’s WWE United States Title, and The Kabuki Warriors\’ WWE Women\’s Tag Team Titles. 

    Regarding Asuka and Sane, there had been plans for a Triple Threat with Natalya and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix as well as Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross. Andrade could make a title defense against Rey Mysterio, who beat Andrade in a non-title match on Monday’s RAW. 

    The plan had been for Bayley to defend her title in a six-woman match against the likes of Sasha Banks, Carmella, Lacey Evans, Naomi, and one other. This match is up in the air. 

    WWE presents the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event as a two-night event on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. 

  • Latest On WWE Taping Schedule, WrestleMania Status Being Kept Quiet

    An update on WWE’s taping schedule for Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown has surfaced online. 

    Following the news on Thursday that the company is planning an “ambitious” taping schedule for the shows, Dave Meltzer shared some additional details in a recent post on F4Wonline.com. 

    It\’s believed WWE will tape the two SmackDown episodes over the next two days, then air a live RAW episode on Monday and tape the March 30th show on Tuesday. It’s also possible that WWE will air older content on these shows in order to fill time. 

    This would be done as a way to reduce the amount of in-ring matches due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. This would keep physicality between the talents to a minimum.

    Regarding WrestleMania 36, POST Wrestling was the first to report that WWE had considered taping both nights of WrestleMania while another source was unsure if that was the plan.

    The latest on the status of WrestleMania is that it will likely be taped but it was noted that decision is being kept secret. In fact, very few in the company are in the loop on the WrestleMania live vs. taped decision including most of the talent. 

    POST Wrestling is now reporting that there has been an internal memo going around WWE HQ about how to promote WrestleMania 36 on the WWE Network. 

    This memo notes to avoid tag lines such as \”live on WWE Network\” and/or \”streaming live.” Instead, WWE wants to promote the event as \”Too Big for One Night.\”

    Clearly, WWE wants to leave the word \”live\” out of promotional material. Just because this memo was sent out doesn’t mean that the decision to tape has been made just yet.

  • Marty Scurll Discusses His Decision To Stay With ROH Instead Of Joining AEW

    Marty Scurll has opened up staying with ROH (Ring of Honor) and his new responsibilities in the promotion. 

    He did so when he recently did an interview with WrestleTalk’s Louis Dangoor to discuss a wide range of topics. 

    Many fans expected Scurll to wind up in AEW after a short run with the NWA but that wasn’t the case. This is something that Scurll talked about. 

    He noted that AEW was the expected destination for him because of his friendship with The Young Bucks (Nick & Matt Jackson). He stated that they are his best friends and he loves them as well as what they’re doing.

    “When it came to my decision though, I, like them, had my own vision, my own dreams, and the opportunity to create a promotion in my own vision was something I always wanted and couldn’t turn down. I’ve been wrestling for a long time and it was time to do something new and set a new challenge for myself. ROH have always been amazing to me, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to be more involved.”

    Scurll talked about how ROH has trust in him and it really gives him the chance to be creative. This is something that he has enjoyed the most.

    He stated that he has great relationships with AEW President Tony Khan, Cody Rhodes, and Kenny Omega. 

    Scurll added that it’s cool that they’re all doing their own thing by making a splash in the wrestling world.

  • WWE SmackDown Preview: Rob Gronkowski, Contract Signing

    A new episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown is here and it’s slated to be another interesting show. 

    With just hours until bell time, it’s time to look ahead starting with tonight’s episode of SmackDown. This marks the second straight week that the show will be held with no fans in attendance. 

    Two things have been announced thus far for this show including an appearance by former New England Patriots player Rob Gronkowski and RAW Superstar Mojo Rawley. Gronkowski has already been confirmed as the host of WrestleMania 36, which will be split into a two-night event but in front of no fans in attendance. 

    The former New England Patriots star will be here to hype the show as well as potentially announce his signing with the company, which has been heavily reported about. 

    WWE holds this show from Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. WWE is advertising the following items for tonight’s broadcast:

    • An appearance by Rob Gronkowski and Mojo Rawley
    • WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg and Roman Reigns to sign their WrestleMania 36 contract
    • WWE could also be announcing matches for the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event.

  • WWE Planning Ambitious Taping Schedule Over Next Week, WrestleMania To Be Taped?

    WWE continues to not only make changes to their weekly television shows but also its next pay-per-view event, WrestleMania 36.

    On Thursday evening, John Pollock of POST Wrestling reported that the company is planning an \”ambitious\” taping schedule for Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown that would see all episodes be in the can.

    This schedule could also mean WrestleMania just weeks before its scheduled dates. 

    Per the report, WWE plans to pre-tape the March 23rd and March 30th editions of RAW and the March 27th and April 3rd editions of SmackDown over the next week. These episodes will include the go-home shows for each brand. 

    Also, one source told him both nights of WrestleMania could also be pre-taped, while another source was unsure if that was the plan.

    This is all being done due to the uncertainty of the outbreak of the coronavirus in the United States, which has forced WWE to cancel shows and air all episodes of their weekly programs from their training facility, Performance Center. 

    As of this writing, there’s no word yet on the format of these weekly shows and whether WWE plans to air a mix of recent archived content with a handful of new matches.

    With the recommendations of how many people can be part of large public gatherings decreasing by the week, if just one talent or crew tests positive after working a show then it could shut down any efforts at producing live content at any time.

    Thus, the plans mentioned above are being talked about.

  • AEW Dynamite & NXT TV Viewership (3/18)

    Viewership data is in for this week’s battle in the WWE NXT vs. AEW Dynamite Wednesday Night War. AEW won in total viewers. NXT didn\’t crack the top 50 shows for the night.

    Here is the breakdown of the live and same-night DVR viewership, courtesy of ShowbuzzDaily:

    WWE NXT Viewership

    NXT on the USA Network averaged 542,000 viewers, which is down from 697,000 last week. In the 18-49 demo, they drew a 0.16 rating, down from the 0.21 rating that the show did last week. 

    The episode featured three video packages that covered the Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano feud, NXT Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair, and former NXT Champion Finn Balor. Triple H and Tom Phillips hosted the show. 

    AEW Dynamite Viewership

    AEW Dynamite on TNT was watched by 932,000 viewers, up from the 766,000 viewers last week. In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite pulled in a 0.35 rating, up from the 0.26 rating that the show did last week. 

    AEW Dynamite featured such as The Inner Circle vs. The Elite the main event, Luchasaurus and Jungle Boy vs. The Butcher and The Blade, Lucha Bros vs. Best Friends, the debut of Matt Hardy, Brodie Lee’s reveal as the Exalted One, and Hikaru Shida vs.  Kris Statlander vs. Penelope Ford vs. Riho.

  • Matt Hardy Debuts On AEW Dynamite, Aligns With The Elite

    It’s official, Matt Hardy is All Elite. 

    Hardy made an appearance on their weekly television show, Dynamite, on Wednesday after the main event that saw The Inner Circle beat The Elite in a six-man tag team match.

    This has been speculated for quite some time. Matt Jackson noted that someone owed him a favor, which led to Hardy being shown in the crowd. With Nick Jackson being at home to be with his family, Hardy will join The Elite to take on The Inner Circle next week in the Blood & Guts Match.

    Matt Hardy\’s Road to AEW

    On March 2nd, it was teased during the latest episode of Being The Elite that Hardy could be going to AEW. The episode featured Matt Jackson getting a call from a 910 area code. This is the code for North Carolina, which is where Hardy lives. 

    Fast forward to the tenth episode of Free The Delete, The Young Bucks drove to Hardy’s house with Hardy stating that he knew they would come. They later helped bury Hardy. 

    Hardy’s contract with WWE expired on March 1st, which is when he became a free agent. It was reported before he hit the market that the major hurdle between the two sides is how he would be used going forward, not money. Thus, the reason why he hadn’t signed a new deal.

    WWE has been throwing out big money offers to re-sign its talent to longer deals than in previous years with most current deals seeing a star stay under contract for five years. 

  • Brodie Lee Revealed As The Exalted One

    It’s official, Brodie Lee, formerly known as Luke Harper, is All Elite. 

    The former WWE Tag Team Champion has signed with AEW (All Elite Wrestling) as he made an appearance on their weekly television show, Dynamite, on Wednesday. 

    This is where he was revealed as The Exalted One, the leader of The Dark Order. He cut a promo about how Christopher Daniels wasn’t the only old man who didn’t believe in him. He would then attack Daniels and Kaz alongside The Dark Order.

    Brodie Lee\’s Road to AEW

    Brodie Lee (Luke Harper) requested his release from WWE back in April 2019. He remained under contract until December when WWE finally granted the request.

    At the time of his release, he had a 90-day no-compete clause with WWE, which prevented him from appearing on AEW television until late March 2020.

    Harper recently trademarked the name Brodie Lee, the ring name he used prior to joining WWE in 2012.

    Harper’s time in WWE had both ups and downs as he found success as a singles star by winning the Intercontinental Title as well as a tag team competitor while with The Wyatt Family. 

    Things took a turn when it was reported that WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon didn\’t see anything in him. Thus, they stopped using him, which resulted in Harper asking for his release.

  • Edge Discusses Why He’s Excited To Wrestle Randy Orton At WrestleMania 36

    WWE Hall of Famer Edge talked about his match with Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 36 while doing a recent interview with Gorilla Position. 

    It should be noted that WWE hasn’t officially announced the match yet but Edge did just challenge him to a Last Man Standing Match on this past Monday’s episode of RAW on the USA Network. The match is all but confirmed. 

    In this interview, Edge brought up how the match will be taking place in an empty arena at the Performance Center. The reason for that is due to there being no fans in attendance as a concern of the coronavirus outbreak. 

    Edge talked about how the crazy part is that it’s never been done before at WrestleMania. Over the years, WrestleMania has always featured fans in attendance. He brought up Mick Foley vs. The Rock in 1999 where they had an empty arena match but that wasn’t at WrestleMania.

    \”Sure, it’s not ideal. We all get it, but we have to make do, and we have to figure out, we have to adapt. And that’s what this whole thing will be. I know I feel confident because I know in Randy, I don’t say this lightly, one of the best ever or possibility, and it’s all subjective, the best to ever do this. You get my brain and his natural ability on this thing, and I’m excited.”

    He added that he’s excited about what they can do and what they can bring to the audience because all bets are off, there are no rules. He concluded by stating, “It’s an entirely blank canvas.\”

  • WrestleMania To Be Held As Two-Night Event From Multiple Locations

    WWE has not only announced a big change to WrestleMania 36 but also the fact that the host of the show has been officially announced. 

    On Wednesday, the company announced that their biggest show of the year will be held over the course of two nights. The first night of the show will be on Saturday, April 4 while the second night will take place on Sunday, April 5.

    Both nights start at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT and will air on the WWE Network. There will be no fans in attendance in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center.

    It will also air live from \”multiple other locations,\” according to sources. As of this writing, there\’s no word yet on where these other locations will be.

    Rob Gronkowski Hosting WrestleMania

    Former New England Patriot Rob Gronkowski will be hosting the show on both nights. The former NFL star, who is slated to appear on Friday Night SmackDown this week, commented on the news: 

    WWE noted in the announcement that only essential personnel will be on the closed set during the production of WrestleMania.

  • AEW Rankings For Week Ending 3/18/20

    All Elite Wrestling has announced the latest set of AEW Rankings for the week ending Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

    The updated standings come after the results of Tuesday’s AEW Dark episode. These rankings are for the following divisions – men’s, women’s, and tag team. 

    The way the rankings work is the talent will be listed in rankings by their match records but doesn’t include the champions. It also helps fans keep an eye on the current push of certain wrestlers as they work their way up the ladder to an eventual title shot in their divisions.

    Cody passed PAC to reach the fourth spot in the men’s rankings while former AEW Women’s Champion Riho has dropped to fifth in the women’s division. Finally, Private Party moved past Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara in the tag team division.

  • AEW Dynamite Preview: Inner Circle vs. The Elite, The Exalted One Reveal

    AEW will present the first-time-ever type of episode for their weekly television show, Dynamite due to the circumstances of the coronavirus outbreak. There will be no fans in attendance but only essential staff. 

    Thus, it’s time to look ahead to tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT. The show is expected to start with Lucha Bros vs. Best Friends. 

    Although not confirmed, the belief is that The Inner Circle vs. The Elite in a six-man tag team match will serve as the headliner. The winners will be receiving the advantage for the \”Blood & Guts\” match on March 25.

    AEW holds this show from Daily\’s Place in Jacksonville, FL on TNT at 8 p.m. ET. AEW is advertising the following items for tonight’s broadcast:

    Viewership data is in for this week’s episodes of Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night RAW. 

    Here is the breakdown of the live and same-night DVR viewership, courtesy of ShowbuzzDaily:

    SmackDown Viewership

    SmackDown averaged 2.470 million viewers on FOX in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. This is up from the 2.456 viewers that the show did for the previous week’s episode of SmackDown.

    The show averaged 2.588 million viewers in the fast nationals, which was up from the 2.453 million viewers a week ago. This number measured the top metered markets. 

    The first hour drew 2.673 million viewers while the second hour did 2.503 million viewers. For comparison, the first show of last week’s show did 2.579 million viewers while the second hour did 2.326 million viewers. 

    SmackDown pulled in a 0.70 rating in the 18-49 demos, the same from the 0.70 rating as last week’s show.

    RAW Viewership

    Monday’s edition of WWE RAW averaged 2.335 million viewers at the same venue on the USA Network, which is up from the 2.163 million viewers the previous week. This show featured appearances by Edge, The Undertaker, and Steve Austin.

  • Steve Austin Returns On RAW, Delivers Stunners After The Show (Video)

    Steve Austin made his return to WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW, in a special episode of the series. 

    He did so on the show that was held in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center on the USA Network. This marked the first time that WWE has aired RAW from their training facility, which was due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. 

    Steve Austin Celebrates 3:16 Day

    Steve Austin\’s returned to WWE programming to celebrate 3:16 Day (March 16th), commemorating his famous Austin 3:16 catchphrase. Austin is known for coming out to packed houses of screaming fans, but this night was different. Austin came out to empty bleachers in the Performance Center. He drank some beer and declared that 3:16 Day is now a national holiday.

    He then read some cards that described the significance of 3:16 Day. The new holiday is symbolized by various rebellious activities, such as flipping people off, making your boss work for you and speeding in your car.

    As this was going on, Bryon Saxton was holding up cards with numbers to rate what Austin was saying. This eventually led to Austin inviting Saxton down to the ring. Austin shared a beer with Saxton and then nailed him with a Stole Cold Stunner.

    Steve Austin later shared a moment of mutual respect with RAW Women\’s Champion Becky Lynch. The two stars saluted each other in the middle of the ring with a few beers.

    Austin made a few appearances on RAW last year including for the special RAW Reunion at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.

  • Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins Official for WrestleMania

    A new match has been announced for the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 36 PPV event.

    During Monday’s episode of RAW on the USA Network, WWE had Kevin Owens cut a backstage promo about how he accepts Seth Rollins’ challenge and that he has decided for the match to take place at the biggest event of the year.

    CM Punk Pokes Fun At Roman Reigns After New WrestleMania Location Announcement

  • The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles Confirmed For WrestleMania 36

    After weeks of speculation, WWE has confirmed The Undertaker vs. AJ Styles for its biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 36.

    WWE confirmed the match on Monday’s episode of RAW on the USA Network when the two stars signed a contract for the contest.

    After Styles signed the contract in the backstage area, he sent Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows to the ring to give Taker the contract. Taker took them out before signing it. 

    Their first encounter came at the Super ShowDown show last month when Taker attacked Styles in the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy Gauntlet Match by hitting a chokeslam then pinned him to not only win the match but to kick off his next feud under the WWE banner. 

    Fast forward, Taker also cost Styles his No DQ Match against Aleister Black when Taker made the save for Black.

  • CM Punk Pokes Fun At Roman Reigns After WrestleMania Location Change

    CM Punk wasted little time in having some fun at the expense of Roman Reigns on social media. 

    WWE made big news when they issued a statement on Monday as it was announced that WrestleMania 36 will still take place as scheduled but will take place at a different location. 

    It was originally scheduled to take place at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. However, it was moved due to the coronavirus and will now air live at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida with no live audience.

    CM Punk took to his official Twitter account where he wrote, \”Well that\’s one way to make sure Roman finally gets not booed and nobody chants for meeeeeee.\”

    Punk’s reference was about Reigns being heavily booed by fans on numerous occasions including previous WrestleMania events in which he either won or was challenging for the WWE Title. 

    CM Punk won’t be appearing on Tuesday’s episode of WWE Backstage on FS1 due to the production of the show being halted due to the coronavirus. There\’s no word yet on when the show will return. 

    Reigns is slated to challenge Goldberg for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 36. This is expected to be one of the top matches featured on the card. 

  • WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony & NXT TakeOver: Tampa Canceled

    In the wake of the news regarding the status of WrestleMania 36, WWE has confirmed that two events that were originally slated to take place as part of the weekend have been postponed. 

    The Hall of Fame ceremony for the 2020 class of inductees was slated to take place on April 2, 2020 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The NXT TakeOver: Tampa show was supposed to go down on Saturday, April 4 from the same arena. 

    Pwinsider.com was able to obtain a statement from the company on Monday that confirmed these events are off. You can read the statement here: 

    “The WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony and NXT TakeOver will not take place as previously scheduled. We will share further details as they become available.”

    This announcement comes after WWE confirmed that WrestleMania 36 will still take place as scheduled but will take place at a different location. It will now air live at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida with no live audience.

    WWE never announced any matches for NXT TakeOver: Tampa. However, WWE had already confirmed several members for this year’s Hall of Fame class. 

    Although not confirmed, the belief is that the Hall of Fame ceremony will take place at a later date:

    WWE Confirms WrestleMania 36 Will Air From Performance Center, No Fans Allowed

  • WWE WrestleMania Moved To The Performance Center

    After days of speculation, WWE has confirmed that WrestleMania 36 will indeed take place but from a different location. 

    On Monday, the company issued a statement that noted the show will take place from the Performance Center next month. WWE had to make the change due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, which has been impacting their event schedule since last week.

    The virus has forced sports leagues and arenas to shut down during this time. WWE has been and likely planning on airing their shows – RAW, NXT & SmackDown – from the training facility. 

    WWE issued the following: 

    “In coordination with local partners and government officials, WrestleMania and all related events in Tampa Bay will not take place. However, WrestleMania will still stream live on Sunday, April 5 at 7 pm ET on WWE Network and be available on pay-per-view. Only essential personnel will be on the closed set at WWE’s training facility in Orlando, Florida to produce WrestleMania.”

    WrestleMania 36: Several Relocation Rumors Reportedly Debunked

  • AEW Dynamite To Be Held In Closed-Set Locations Until Further Notice

    AEW continues to postpone upcoming episodes of their weekly television show on TNT, Dynamite. 

    The company did so again Monday with the April 15th episode from Boston, which will have to be rescheduled for another date due to the coronavirus. 

    What to take away from this statement is the fact that they noted all upcoming Dynamite episodes will be held without fans and essential personnel only.

    As noted earlier this week, it looks like AEW\’s big Blood and Guts double steel cage match is still happening. This week\’s edition of Dynamite will feature The Elite vs. The Inner Circle, with the winners earning an advantage for Blood and Guts.

    AEW issued the following statement on Twitter regarding the cancelation of the April 15th Dynamite from Boston:

    AEW DYNAMITE: 4/15 BOSTON RESCHEDULED

    As a precautionary measure against COVID-19, the AEW DYNAMITE show on April 15 in Boston, MA, will be relocated. The relocated show will be televised live on TNT on April 15. Until further notice, live episodes of DYNAMITE will be produced at closed set locations with essential personnel only.

    The DYNAMITE show in Boston will be rescheduled for Wednesday, August 5, at Agganis Arena. Fans who have already purchased tickets to the Boston show will be offered a refund via the point of purchase, or have their original ticket valid for admission to the event on August 5. Additional details will be forthcoming.

    We appreciate your understanding as the safety and well-being of our fans and talent is always our top priority.  We will continue to closely monitor this evolving situation related to COVID-19 and be guided by government officials, health organizations and venue management.”

    This comes a few days after the promotion announced that Wednesday’s episode from Rochester, NY and then the special edition of the show, Blood & Guts, at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey the following week on March 25th will have to find new locations. 

    Due to concerns about the coronavirus, these changes have been made. 

  • Alberto Del Rio Claims He’s In Talks With WWE For 2020 Return

    Alberto Del Rio made some interesting comments during a recent appearance on Nos Cayó La Noche in Mexico. 

    During the interview, not only did he claim that he’s in talks with WWE about a potential return to the company but also gave a timetable as to when this could happen.

    It should be noted that there haven\’t been any recent reports about his return. 

    “We have been in communication, ” Alberto said. “We have rebuilt the bridge. On their part, they were wrong on some decisions and I also did some things wrong on my part. I am hoping that we can reach an agreement sometime this year or by the middle of this year I’ll be back there.”

    Del Rio has had two stints with the company. His previous run ended on bad terms. Since that time, he made some negative comments about the company and Triple H. 

    However, he has since apologized for his comments towards Triple H. 

    Del Rio is coming off a loss to former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz in December by first-round rear-naked choke submission in a 210 catchweight bout.

  • WWE RAW Preview: Steve Austin Celebration, AJ Styles vs. The Undertaker Contract Signing

    Monday’s episode of RAW will no doubt be an interesting show due to the circumstances that not only WWE is in but the world due to the coronavirus. 

    WWE has already confirmed that due to the outbreak of the virus, only essential personnel will be there. It also means that no fans will be in attendance just like last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. 

    The company has announced three segments for the show with three big names slated to appear. However, no matches have been confirmed for the show. 

    As usual, fans should expect more matches and segments to be revealed this afternoon for RAW. 

    WWE holds this show in Orlando, Florida at the WWE Performance Center. WWE is advertising the following items for tonight’s broadcast:

    • Steve Austin returns to celebrate 3/16.
    • The Undertaker and AJ Styles will be doing a contract signing for their WrestleMania 36 match
    • Edge is in town and will appear on this show in order to continue his pursuit of Randy Orton.

    WWE will also be building on the hype for existing feuds that will take place heading into the WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view event despite the high chance of this show being postponed.
