AEW Dynamite Match Card for April 22, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show.

Darby Allin (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa (AEW World Championship)

Darby Allin defends the AEW World Championship for the first time after shocking the wrestling world last Wednesday in Everett. Allin pinned MJF in under five minutes on the Spring BreakThru edition of Dynamite to capture his first AEW World Title. Ciampa issued the challenge that same night, and Allin accepted. The champion is not waiting to take on all comers.

Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis

Former United Empire partners collide as Mark Davis continues his work under The Don Callis Family. Davis brutalized Ospreay last week, setting up their first singles match since the 2023 NJPW New Japan Cup. Ospreay is back in Callis’s crosshairs after his recent win over Hechicero, and this is the next round.

Mina Shirakawa vs. Hikaru Shida

Shirakawa continues her hunt for answers about the attack on Toni Storm. She confronted Shida on Collision last week, pointing to a kendo stick as evidence and questioning whether Shida can be trusted. Shida, recently returned and teaming with Kris Statlander, takes exception. This is their first singles meeting in AEW.

Darby Allin Addresses the Fans

The new AEW World Champion speaks for the first time since his title win. Allin captured the championship in his training grounds of the Pacific Northwest, and tonight’s Portland crowd gets the first promo from the champion before he defends the belt later in the show.

Road to AEW Double or Nothing 2026

AEW Double or Nothing 2026 takes place Sunday, May 24 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. It’s the eighth annual edition of the event and the first Double or Nothing held in the New York market.

Tonight’s show begins the build toward the Memorial Day weekend PPV, with the AEW World Title picture, Ospreay’s feud with The Don Callis Family, and the Toni Storm attack mystery all heading for resolution over the next month.
