AEW stacks tonight’s episode with two championship matches and two Owen Hart Foundation Tournament bouts. Here’s everything you need to know including start times, how to watch, and the full card.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for June 3, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

MJF (c) vs. Rush (AEW World Championship)

MJF makes the first defense of his third AEW World Title reign tonight after reclaiming the belt from Darby Allin at Double or Nothing. Rush earned the shot by confronting the champion last week and brings momentum, having not lost in AEW or ROH since April.

Kevin Knight (c) vs. Mike Bailey (TNT Championship)

Former tag partners settle it with gold on the line. Knight turned on Bailey and ended their team with a brutal attack on Dynamite, and tonight Speedball gets his measure of payback in a title match.

Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis (Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament Semifinal)

Another pair of former friends collide, with a spot in the tournament final at stake. Ospreay advanced past Samoa Joe at Double or Nothing, while Davis eliminated Jack Perry. The history here cuts deep: the last time these two met, Davis beat Ospreay via medical stoppage with a piledriver, so Ospreay is chasing revenge and a step closer to All In London.

Alex Windsor vs. Wild Card (Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament Quarterfinal)

Windsor’s quarterfinal opponent remains unannounced as of Wednesday. The slot opened up after Willow Nightingale was forced out due to injury, and the identity of the wild card is one of the biggest talking points heading into tonight.

Road to AEW Forbidden Door 2026

The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament finals take place at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on June 28, with the men’s and women’s winners earning AEW World Championship matches at All In London from Wembley Stadium on August 30.

Tonight’s semifinal and quarterfinal results move both brackets one step closer to those finals, making every Owen Cup match a direct path to Wembley.

  • AEW Dynamite/Collision Philadelphia Preview: Full Card, Match Breakdown & What to Watch

AEW Dynamite/Collision Philadelphia Preview: Full Card, Match Breakdown & What to Watch

All Elite Wrestling brings a special three-hour combined Dynamite/Collision broadcast to the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania tonight — Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Belltime is 7:30 PM ET on TBS, and the card is loaded with street fights, Owen Hart Tournament action, and a championship celebration that should set the tone for the coming weeks.

Here’s everything announced for tonight’s show and what it means heading into AEW’s next chapter.

    Full Announced Card

Lights Out Philly Street Fight: Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida

This one has been building for weeks and it’s going No DQ in Philadelphia — the perfect city for a brutal street fight. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida are two of AEW’s most physically gifted women’s division talents, and with no rules and no disqualifications, expect chairs, kendo sticks, and a fight that leaves marks. Philly fans will be in their element for this one.

Watch for: Any post-match implications for the AEW TBS Championship picture.

Owen Hart Men’s Tournament Quarterfinal: Mark Davis vs. “Jungle” Jack Perry

The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament rolls on with a high-stakes quarterfinal. Mark Davis of Aussie Open brings raw power and crowd-pleasing charisma, but “Jungle” Jack Perry — currently one of AEW’s hottest heels — is the kind of disruptive force that tournament brackets fear. A Perry win keeps his momentum rolling; a Davis win would be a massive upset pop.

Watch for: Don Callis Family interference, given tonight’s Renee Paquette interview with Kyle Fletcher & Callis is already on the card.

Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet — Everyone Banned From Ringside

When AEW has to ban everyone from ringside, you know there’s been chaos leading into this one. Chris Jericho and Ricochet go one-on-one in what should be a technically sharp, story-driven contest. Stripping away the entourages puts the focus squarely on both men — and in Philadelphia, where the fans know their wrestling, expect a crowd that is invested in every nearfall.

Watch for: Whether Jericho’s Learning Tree cronies find a way to get involved regardless of the stipulation.

    Key Segments

MJF’s 3x AEW World Championship Jamboree

MJF celebrating himself in Philadelphia is a pro wrestling gift. The Salt of the Earth is a three-time AEW World Champion, and you can bet he’s going to milk every second of that in front of a crowd that has a complicated — and electric — relationship with him. This segment almost certainly sets up MJF’s next feud or puts a target on his back. Don’t skip it.

    TNT Champion Kevin Knight Speaks

We’ll hear from TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight tonight. With the title freshly in his hands, Philadelphia is as big a stage as any for Knight to establish his championship voice. His direction heading into AEW’s next major event is likely to crystalize here.

Renee Paquette Interviews Kyle Fletcher & Don Callis

The Don Callis Family’s internal dynamics and next targets are always worth monitoring. With the Owen Hart Tournament bracket in play, this interview could reveal their strategy — or implode it.

    What to Watch For

    • MJF’s Opponent: The post-celebration challenge or attack will likely signal his next program. Every major heel and babyface on the roster is a candidate.
    • Owen Hart Bracket: With a quarterfinal tonight, AEW should give us a clearer picture of the semifinal matchups. Keep track of who advances.
    • Street Fight Fallout: Statlander vs. Shida in a Lights Out match with no rules almost guarantees a brutal finish — and possibly a new rivalry sprout from the wreckage.
    • Kyle Fletcher/Callis Plans: With Fletcher likely positioned near the top of the card and the Owen Hart Tournament in progress, tonight’s interview sets the table.

    How to Watch

    Announced Matches

AEW World Championship: Darby Allin (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshita (Takeshita replaces Kazuchika Okada, who was pulled for family obligations in Japan)

Triangle of Madness vs. Brawling Birds & Hikaru Shida (trios match previewing the AEW Women’s World Title 4-Way at Double or Nothing)

    Segments

MJF speaks live, responding to Darby Allin’s challenge of a title rematch at Double or Nothing if MJF puts his hair on the line. Allin tied the stipulation to a contract signing, so expect a face-to-face before the night is out.

The 2026 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament brackets for the men’s and women’s sides will be revealed on the broadcast, kicking off the road to AEW All In.

  • Darby Allin Reveals Condition For MJF Title Rematch

Darby Allin Reveals Condition For MJF Title Rematch

Darby Allin successfully defended the AEW World Championship against Kevin Knight on this week’s AEW Dynamite, then issued a unique challenge to MJF for a rematch.

Allin put the title on the line in the main event of the Wednesday Night show. He defeated Knight with two Coffin Drop to secure the pinfall victory. The match served as the latest defense in Allin’s championship reign.

    MJF Requests Championship Rematch

As the Dynamite leg of the special 3-hour broadcast ended and Collision started, MJF came out, and once again asked Allin for an AEW World Championship rematch. Friedman offered to put his scarf or the Dynamite Diamond ring on the line, but the champion rejected both proposals.

Allin countered with his own stipulation, demanding that MJF put his hair on the line for another title shot. Darby Allin ended his promo telling MJF to show up to a contract signing on next week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

MJF appeared visibly stressed by the situation and ran to the back as the segment concluded. The Title vs. Hair match has not yet been officially confirmed.

AEW continues its weekly programming with tonight’s episode, headlined by a champion vs. champion main event as Darby Allin defends the AEW World Championship against TNT Champion Kevin Knight.

Jon Moxley puts his AEW Continental Championship on the line in an Eliminator match against Juice Robinson, and Orange Cassidy meets Dax Harwood in a Double Jeopardy match with tag and trios title implications.

Programming Alert: Tonight’s broadcast is part of a special three-hour TBS wrestling block, with the first hour of AEW Collision airing live immediately after Dynamite.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for May 6, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

Darby Allin (c) vs. Kevin Knight (AEW World Championship, Champion vs. Champion)

Allin walks in off a successful World Title defense over Brody King last week and runs straight into a hot challenger. Knight is fresh off pinning MJF on Dynamite to retain the TNT Championship, then defending that title against Hook on Collision two days later. The wrinkle: the last singles loss on Allin’s record came at Knight’s hands during the 2025 Continental Classic.

MJF is the elephant in the room. He’s still hunting a rematch with Allin and has reasons to keep Knight from beating him to it.

Jon Moxley (c) vs. Juice Robinson (AEW Continental Championship Eliminator)

Robinson earned his way in after he and Ace Austin beat Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders on Collision. With Moxley at ringside, Robinson pinned Yuta and pointed at the title. A win tonight guarantees Robinson a future Continental Championship shot.

Moxley has yet to lose an Eliminator defense, sitting at 8-0 in the format.

Orange Cassidy vs. Dax Harwood (Double Jeopardy Match)

The stipulation cuts both ways. If Cassidy wins, he picks a Conglomeration partner and challenges FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. If Harwood wins, he and Cash Wheeler add Tommaso Ciampa to a future AEW World Trios Championship match against The Conglomeration.

FTR’s I Quit Match against Cage and Copeland at Double or Nothing is looming, which gives Harwood every reason to steal momentum here.

Mina Shirakawa and Harley Cameron vs. Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander (Tag Team Match)

Shida and Statlander are on the brink of a split. They came up short against Divine Dominion last week with the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Titles on the line, and Statlander, who would have completed the company’s first Women’s Triple Crown with a win, blamed Shida directly. A backstage confrontation followed, and Shida promised to right the ship tonight.

Road to AEW Double or Nothing 2026

AEW Double or Nothing 2026 takes place Sunday, May 24 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

Tonight sets a heavy chunk of the PPV picture in motion: the World Title scene runs through Allin vs. Knight, the Tag and Trios pictures both bend on the Cassidy vs. Harwood Double Jeopardy result, and the women’s tag fallout points straight at a Shida vs. Statlander program for the show.

  • Chris Jericho Misses AEW Dynamite Tonight

Chris Jericho Misses AEW Dynamite Tonight

Chris Jericho will not appear on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

Jericho returned to AEW television on the April 1 episode of Dynamite, ending months of speculation about his future with the promotion. Since his return, he has been locked in a rivalry with Ricochet and The Demand.

In his first match back after nearly a year away, Jericho faced Ricochet at the Dynasty 2026 pay-per-view but came up short. Following that loss, he joined forces with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin of The Hurt Syndicate to battle The Demand as a team.

Now, PWInsider has reported that the veteran is currently in New York City filming a TV project. No additional details about the project have been disclosed at this time. Jericho’s absence comes as he remains involved in an ongoing feud with Ricochet and The Demand.

    Recent Loss on AEW Collision

This past Saturday on Collision, Jericho teamed with Lashley and Benjamin to face Ricochet, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun in a trios match. Ricochet once again got the better of Jericho, winning the match after delivering a low blow followed by a Ricosault.

Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite will take place from EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Virginia.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for April 22, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show.

Darby Allin (c) vs. Tommaso Ciampa (AEW World Championship)

Darby Allin defends the AEW World Championship for the first time after shocking the wrestling world last Wednesday in Everett. Allin pinned MJF in under five minutes on the Spring BreakThru edition of Dynamite to capture his first AEW World Title. Ciampa issued the challenge that same night, and Allin accepted. The champion is not waiting to take on all comers.

    Will Ospreay vs. Mark Davis

Former United Empire partners collide as Mark Davis continues his work under The Don Callis Family. Davis brutalized Ospreay last week, setting up their first singles match since the 2023 NJPW New Japan Cup. Ospreay is back in Callis’s crosshairs after his recent win over Hechicero, and this is the next round.

    Mina Shirakawa vs. Hikaru Shida

Shirakawa continues her hunt for answers about the attack on Toni Storm. She confronted Shida on Collision last week, pointing to a kendo stick as evidence and questioning whether Shida can be trusted. Shida, recently returned and teaming with Kris Statlander, takes exception. This is their first singles meeting in AEW.

    Darby Allin Addresses the Fans

The new AEW World Champion speaks for the first time since his title win. Allin captured the championship in his training grounds of the Pacific Northwest, and tonight’s Portland crowd gets the first promo from the champion before he defends the belt later in the show.

Road to AEW Double or Nothing 2026

AEW Double or Nothing 2026 takes place Sunday, May 24 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York. It’s the eighth annual edition of the event and the first Double or Nothing held in the New York market.

Tonight’s show begins the build toward the Memorial Day weekend PPV, with the AEW World Title picture, Ospreay’s feud with The Don Callis Family, and the Toni Storm attack mystery all heading for resolution over the next month.

  • Darby Allin’s First AEW World Title Defense Set for Dynamite

Darby Allin’s First AEW World Title Defense Set for Dynamite

Darby Allin will make his first AEW World Championship defense this Wednesday on Dynamite when he faces Tommaso Ciampa in Portland, Oregon. The match was announced Friday and marks the first time the two have faced each other.

Allin captured the title this past week on Dynamite, defeating MJF in an upset victory. On the same show, Ciampa defeated Dezmond Xavier and immediately called out the winner for a future title shot.

The former TNT Champion brings momentum into the title match with a 5-0 record in his last five singles matches. This will be Ciampa’s first opportunity to compete for the AEW World Championship.

The title match joins an already stacked card for Wednesday’s show. Will Ospreay faces Mark Davis, while Mina Shirakawa takes on Hikaru Shida.

AEW Dynamite airs Wednesday from Portland, Oregon.

  • Tony Khan Vows to Trust Only His Instincts Moving Forward

Tony Khan Vows to Trust Only His Instincts Moving Forward

Tony Khan says AEW’s recent turnaround comes down to a fundamental shift in how he approaches creative decisions, and he is not being subtle about what changed.

Speaking with KING 5 in Seattle ahead of the Spring Breakthru edition of Dynamite in Everett, Washington, Khan described a new philosophy that places his own instincts back at the center of how AEW tells its stories.

“From now on, I will only trust my instincts. I will only execute the ideas that I believe in,” Khan said.

The promotion has been on an upswing in recent months, a shift Khan has previously attributed to taking back more hands-on control of the creative direction.

Tuesday’s Spring Breakthru show is headlined by MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Darby Allin, and Khan previewed the matchup by noting Allin’s momentum heading into the title bout.

“We’ll have the world champion, MJF, defending the title against the hometown hero, Darby Allin, who’s on a phenomenal winning streak. That’s gonna be a lot of fun to see Darby Allin versus MJF 2,” Khan said.

The card also features Kevin Knight challenging Claudio Castagnoli for the TNT Championship, a matchup Khan highlighted as a fresh pairing. “There’s never been a one-on-one match between Claudio and the Jet. I’m very excited for that match,” he said.

Khan also used the occasion to mark a significant milestone for the promotion. “Spring Breakthru represents the one year anniversary of AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite becoming the longest running primetime pro wrestling show in the history of TBS and TNT. It’s such an exciting time for AEW,” he said.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for April 15, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

MJF (c) vs. Darby Allin (AEW World Championship)

Allin earned this shot by defeating Andrade El Idolo at Dynasty and immediately called for his title match to happen in Everett, where he first trained as a wrestler. He isn’t waiting for Double or Nothing. MJF retained the AEW World Championship against Kenny Omega in Dynasty’s main event and now faces a quick turnaround against one of the hottest challengers in the company.

The two have met in singles competition only once before, at AEW Full Gear 2021, where MJF won. Allin has been undefeated in singles matches throughout 2026, picking up wins over PAC, Gabe Kidd, Rush, and Clark Connors among others. Whether MJF can overcome the hometown energy working against him and Allin’s momentum is the biggest question of the night.

Kevin Knight (c) vs. Claudio Castagnoli (TNT Championship)

Knight won the TNT Championship at Dynasty by winning the Casino Gauntlet match for the vacant title after Kyle Fletcher was forced to relinquish it due to a meniscus injury. Knight sealed the win by pinning Castagnoli’s Death Riders stablemate Daniel Garcia, which sets the stage for tonight’s first defense.

A win for the Death Riders member would give the faction championship gold and shift power in AEW’s midcard picture.

Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Kamille (TBS Championship)

Kamille made a violent return at Dynasty’s Zero Hour pre-show, attacking Nightingale backstage and preventing her from competing in the TBS Championship Open Challenge. After picking up a squash win of her own, Kamille attacked the champion again.

Nightingale has confirmed she’s been medically cleared and wants payback.

This is Kamille’s first significant match in AEW since her loss to Kris Statlander on Dynamite in October 2024. The former NWA Women’s World Champion is looking to restart her AEW run with a title win, while Nightingale aims to shut down the comeback before it gains any more traction.

Road to AEW Double or Nothing 2026

AEW Double or Nothing 2026 takes place Sunday, May 24 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

Tonight’s Spring BreakThru marks the beginning of the road to AEW’s first-ever pay-per-view inside New York City’s five boroughs. The outcomes of all three title matches could reshape the championship picture heading into Memorial Day weekend.

Thursday’s Collision will also be taped from Everett following tonight’s live broadcast.

  • MJF Distances AEW from Politically “Right-Leaning” WWE

MJF Distances AEW from Politically “Right-Leaning” WWE

AEW World Champion MJF drew a pointed contrast between the two major wrestling promotions on a recent episode of The Adam Friedland Show, defending the viral “F*** ICE” chant that broke out during his AEW Dynamite match and suggesting WWE has made a political choice he says AEW has not.

“We had a ‘Fuck ICE’ chant,” MJF said. “What’s so cool about that is, in our company, our fans have a voice. And in the other company, a lot of times, when fans curse or when they say something that they don’t want them to say, they just bleep it. They bleep the crowd entirely and they edit it out of the show or they’ll create fake crowd noise of it so you can’t hear the chants.”

MJF then addressed WWE’s political alignment directly:

“I’ll also say, they’ve made a choice to be a little bit more right-leaning. Triple H has done a couple of speeches in the White House. Linda McMahon is in the cabinet. We are not affiliated to any party so anybody can feel comfortable going to our shows.”

The Chant That Started It All

The “F*** ICE” moment occurred on the February 5 episode of AEW Dynamite in Las Vegas, during a World Title Eliminator main event between MJF and Brody King. The crowd erupted with the anti-ICE chant just before the opening bell, with the moment going viral and drawing widespread mainstream coverage.

King had been vocal about his opposition to ICE and the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies, and had partnered with Headlocked Comics on a fundraising effort that raised nearly $59,000 for the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee prior to the show.

    WWE’s Political Ties

MJF’s remarks are rooted in documented connections. Triple H currently serves as vice chair of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, while Linda McMahon holds a Cabinet position as U.S. Secretary of Education in the Trump administration.

AEW president Tony Khan has publicly stated that he supports his wrestlers expressing themselves, though the company itself has avoided officially aligning with any political party.

MJF makes his next title defense at AEW Dynasty this Sunday against Kenny Omega. He recently spoke about what keeps him in AEW, saying there is “no leash” on him creatively and that he has full freedom to be himself.

Chris Jericho Brings Back WWE Gimmick, Set For First Match After AEW Return

Chris Jericho has officially confirmed his return to in-ring competition at AEW Dynasty on April 12 in Vancouver. The announcement came during a promo segment for Y2J on the April 8 episode of AEW Dynamite, where Jericho revealed a new contract with the promotion and immediately chose his opponent for the upcoming pay-per-view.

The segment centered around Jericho revealing that he has signed a new multi-year AEW deal. The former AEW Champion reflected on the risks he has taken throughout his career and his role in building the company. The veteran made it clear he’s not finished taking chances, despite approaching his first match in nearly a year.

Ricochet Interruption Leads to Dynasty Match

Before the contract signing could conclude, Ricochet interrupted and questioned Jericho’s readiness to return. He suggested the veteran stay away from active competition.

Jericho responded by revealing a key clause in his new deal that allowed him to choose his opponent for AEW Dynasty. After some back-and-forth, Jericho told Ricochet, ‘You just made the list,’ confirming the match for April 12.

First Match Since Losing ROH Championship

The Dynasty bout marks Jericho’s first AEW match since April 6, 2025, when he lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido in a ‘Title vs. Mask’ bout. The veteran had been absent from the wrestling world since then.

Jericho made his surprise return on the April 1 episode of Dynamite in Winnipeg, re-emerging after his lengthy absence. The contract signing segment on April 8 provided the full picture of his comeback plans.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for April 8, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Queen Aminata (TBS Championship)

Nightingale has been on a roll, successfully defending the TBS title against the returning Hikaru Shida on last Thursday’s special edition of Collision. Tonight she faces another returning challenger in Queen Aminata, who hasn’t competed in a singles match since September and has never previously challenged for a singles title in AEW despite being with the company since 2021.

Whoever wins tonight’s match is likely heading into Dynasty with a target on their back, as AEW has yet to officially announce an opponent for a TBS title bout at the PPV.

Darby Allin, Bandido & Jack Perry vs. Andrade El Idolo, Konosuke Takeshita & Mark Davis (Trios Match)

This one comes with a late roster change. Brody King was originally slated to partner with Allin and Perry, but Tony Khan announced he’s out for personal reasons. Bandido steps in as the replacement.

The match previews what’s coming at Dynasty, where Allin meets Andrade in a singles bout with a World Title shot on the line if Darby wins. Takeshita and Davis round out the Don Callis Family side, giving AEW National Champion Perry a chance to mix it up with some of the most dangerous names on the roster heading into Sunday. Expect this one to spill over into the pay-per-view build in a big way.

    Chris Jericho Addresses His Return

Jericho returned to AEW last week in Winnipeg after nearly a year away, receiving a massive hometown reaction. He kept it brief, but tonight in Edmonton he’s expected to say considerably more. What his role looks like at Dynasty, and who might be in his crosshairs, should become much clearer after he grabs the mic tonight.

Kenny Omega Speaks Ahead of His AEW World Championship Match

Omega earned the number one contendership by defeating Swerve Strickland two weeks ago, putting his EVP position on the line to do it. He faces AEW World Champion MJF at Dynasty on Sunday in a rematch from their 2023 singles encounter. Tonight he gets the microphone one last time before that match, and given everything at stake, this segment has the potential to be one of the best promos of the year.

    Road to AEW Dynasty 2026

AEW Dynasty 2026 takes place Sunday, April 12 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, streaming live on TBS and HBO Max.

Tonight’s Dynamite is the final stop before Sunday’s pay-per-view, with the Omega/MJF world title match and Moxley/Ospreay headlining a card that also includes Adam Copeland and Christian Cage challenging FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.

  • Chris Jericho Set To Explain His Shocking AEW Return

Chris Jericho Set To Explain His Shocking AEW Return

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho is set to address his shocking return to AEW on the April 8 episode of Dynamite. The segment marks Jericho’s first opportunity to speak following his surprise comeback.

Jericho returned to AEW television on the April 1 edition of AEW Dynamite in Winnipeg, his first appearance on AEW programming in almost a year. He told his homeland crowd, “Winnipeg! AEW! I’m home.”

Queen Aminata Returns to Challenge for TBS Title

Queen Aminata will make her in-ring return when she challenges Willow Nightingale (c) for the AEW TBS Championship. The match will be Aminata’s first since October 2025 after being sidelined with a neck injury.

    Trios Match

A trios match has also been added to the April 8 show, pitting Darby Allin, Brody King, and Jack Perry against Don Callis Family members Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Davis, and Andrade El Idolo.

The updated lineup for Wednesday’s Dynamite includes Jericho’s address, the TBS Championship match, and the six-man tag team bout.

  • Chris Jericho Returns: Dave Meltzer on Why He Chose AEW Over WWE

Chris Jericho Returns: Dave Meltzer on Why He Chose AEW Over WWE

Dave Meltzer has shared his thoughts on why Chris Jericho chose to return to AEW rather than head back to WWE for a retirement run.

Jericho made a surprise return on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite in his hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, opening the show at Canada Life Centre and simply telling the crowd, “Winnipeg… AEW… I’m home.” The 55-year-old had been away from AEW television since April 2025.

Meltzer: WWE Wanted Jericho for a Retirement Tour

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer revealed that WWE had interest in bringing Jericho back for a farewell run, though the specifics of those discussions remain unclear.

“From the WWE standpoint, and I don’t know what they told him. I know I was told that they wanted him for a retirement tour. And maybe that’s not what he wanted, but I don’t know,” Meltzer said.

However, Meltzer noted that several factors likely played into Jericho’s decision to stay with AEW, including financial considerations, creative input, and the potential for a longer career.

“With AEW, perhaps he was gonna get more longevity. There’s a lot of advantages for AEW, and there’s always money. He may have been offered more money in AEW,” Meltzer said.

    Creative Freedom vs. Better Audience

Meltzer acknowledged the tradeoffs Jericho likely weighed, particularly around audience reception compared to creative control.

“I think that at this point, especially at the age he’s at, he’s gonna want to do what’s creatively fulfilling and fun. AEW’s a little bit of a risk in the sense of… He’ll probably have more input into what he’s gonna do in AEW than he would in WWE, but he’d have a better audience in WWE, I think for sure,” Meltzer stated.

Meltzer added that while WWE’s larger audience would have been an advantage, multiple elements factored into the decision: “The better audience, that is certainly part of the deal, but money is part of the deal. Creative freedom is part of the deal. What each side’s plans are is part of the deal.”

    Jericho’s Decision Was His Own

Ultimately, Meltzer emphasized that the choice was entirely in Jericho’s hands.

“I think there’s less risk in WWE in the sense that the crowd is not gonna be as difficult for him in WWE. But this was his decision. His decision was AEW, and I’m sure that he considered every one of these points and many other points when making this decision,” Meltzer concluded.

Jericho’s contract situation had been a topic of speculation for months. His AEW deal was reportedly frozen during his absence, and he recently filed a trademark for “The Cornerstone,” hinting at a new character direction.

With AEW Dynasty set for April 12 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, featuring MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Kenny Omega, it remains to be seen how Jericho fits into AEW’s plans going forward.

  • Chris Jericho Returns to AEW After Year-Long Absence

Chris Jericho Returns to AEW After Year-Long Absence

Chris Jericho made a surprise return to AEW on Wednesday night’s Dynamite in Winnipeg, ending a year-long absence and months of speculation about a potential WWE return. The 55-year-old opened the show in his hometown, telling the crowd “Winnipeg… I’m home.”

Jericho appeared in a sparkly purple jacket and black jeans, taking in several minutes of crowd cheers before delivering his brief statement. The inaugural AEW World Champion has been away from the company since April 2025, when he departed on-screen as The Learning Tree faction fell apart alongside Bryan Keith and Big Bill.

Jericho’s contract situation had been unclear for months. He previously stated in interviews that his deal was set to expire in December 2025, fueling widespread belief he would return to WWE for a final run. AEW President Tony Khan repeatedly expressed his desire for Jericho to return when asked about the situation over the past year.

    Contract Frozen During Absence

A report surfaced during Jericho’s time away, indicating his AEW contract had been frozen due to his absence. Last week, Jericho filed a trademark for “The Cornerstone,” signaling a potential return was imminent.

Earlier on Wednesday, both Dave Meltzer and Fightful reported that Jericho was not expected to return to WWE after all. The veteran wrestler has consistently denied retirement plans when asked about his future in the business.

  • Chris Jericho AEW Return Expected, Possibly At Dynamite Tonight

Chris Jericho AEW Return Expected, Possibly At Dynamite Tonight

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho is expected to return to AEW in the near future, as per a new report. Sources within the company believe the veteran wrestler will be back soon, potentially as early as Wednesday night’s episode of Dynamite.

According to Fightful Select AEW sources indicated that Jericho’s recently trademarked “Cornerstone” name would be more appropriate in an AEW context.

The report also noted that Jericho and AEW have discussed his return over the past couple of months. However, no definite confirmation has been provided.

Wednesday’s Dynamite takes place at the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jericho’s hometown. The timing and location have fueled speculation about a potential return appearance.

    WWE Return Not Expected

While there have been talks between Jericho and WWE, the company never had creative plans for him, according to Fightful. He was not planned for the WWE Raw on Netflix anniversary, the Royal Rumble, or the Elimination Chamber, despite heavy speculation surrounding each event.

Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com reported that WWE sources said fans should not expect Jericho in WWE “any time soon, if ever.” This statement was made around the same time Jericho filed his new trademark.

    Current Schedule and Status

Jericho has concerts scheduled with his KISS cover band Kuarantine in New York on Thursday and Friday. The band will perform in Cohoes on Thursday night and Rome on Friday, with the first show approximately a six-hour flight from Winnipeg.

Despite his ongoing absence from television, Jericho remains listed on the AEW roster page. His last appearance for the company came before his current hiatus began earlier this year.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for April 1, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight’s show:

MJF vs. Kenny Omega: AEW Dynasty Contract Signing

Kenny Omega earned his shot at the AEW World Championship by defeating Swerve Strickland on March 25, immediately challenging MJF for the title at Dynasty. MJF accepted the challenge but spurned Omega’s handshake. When Omega’s music hit last week, MJF fled the ring with fear visible on his face. The psychological edge swung decidedly in Omega’s favor in a single moment. Tonight, the two will sit down for the contract signing in Omega’s Canadian hometown. Whether signatures hit the page cleanly or both men leave the table standing is the real question.

    Will Ospreay vs. PAC

Ospreay and PAC are rematch for the first time in an AEW singles contest since their classic at All Out 2024, where Ospreay retained the International Championship. Before Ospreay takes his revenge on Jon Moxley—the man who broke his neck and sidelined him for months—he must go through PAC, a technical wizard whose history with the Death Riders runs deep. Two of the planet’s most gifted high-flyers colliding with Moxley watching from the shadows. Anything can break loose when these two hit the canvas.

“Jungle” Jack Perry, Brody King & Kenny Omega vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, Toa Liona) – Trios Match

Omega proposed this trios match himself, teaming with AEW National Champion Jungle Jack Perry and powerhouse Brody King against The Demand in what looks to be a hard-hitting six-man war. Omega wrestling twice in one night underscores just how critical this run to Dynasty is. Ricochet and The Demand have their own reasons to get after this trio, with the National Championship looming as a possible flashpoint.

Mina Shirakawa & The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter, Alex Windsor) vs. Triangle of Madness (Toxic Thekla, Skyy Blue, Julia Hart) – Six-Woman Trios Match

Mina Shirakawa teams with The Brawling Birds after they ran roughshod on AEW Collision, taking on the Triangle of Madness in a six-woman trios contest that will heat up the women’s title picture heading into Dynasty. Thekla and the Sisters of Sin have been gloating about Toni Storm’s long-term hiatus, but Shirakawa wants answers and retribution. She’s recruiting reinforcements to even the odds and make a statement in front of the Winnipeg crowd.

    Road to AEW Dynasty 2026

AEW Dynasty takes place Sunday, April 12 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia. The card is shaping up to be stacked, with Omega challenging MJF for the world title as the probable main event, Ospreay facing Moxley for revenge, and FTR defending their world tag titles against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage in a high-emotion rematch. Tonight from Winnipeg, the dominoes fall into place.

  • New Faction Officially Joins AEW Roster After Dynamite Debut

The Dogs have joined the AEW roster.

Tonight\’s episode of Wednesday night Dynamite featured the former NJPW duo of Clark Connors and Gabe Kidd in action against the team of Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin.

The ending of the bout saw Darby taking Connors and Kidd out with a Coffin Drop outside the ring from the top rope. Cassidy then got Clark back in the ring and delivered an Orange Punch to him for the victory.

They couldn\’t celebrate the win for long, however, as David Finlay made his surprise AEW debut. Bringing a Shillelagh with him, the former IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion helped his partners beat up Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin to end the segment.

Tony Khan took to X after this to confirm that all three names have officially signed with the company under the new faction name of The Dogs:

Both Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors have been regulars on AEW TV since the beginning of this year, but there had been rumors about the future of David Finlay after he became a free agent last month.

Being the son of wrestling veteran and current WWE coach, Fit Finlay, there had been speculations that David could end up in the Endeavor-owned promotion before his debut tonight.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for March 4, 2026

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2026/03/\"AEW

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight\’s show:

    AEW World Championship Match

    MJF (c) vs. Kevin Knight

MJF issued this challenge to Kevin Knight following a confrontation on Collision, where the champion was seething over the Texas Death Match stipulation awaiting him against \”Hangman\” Adam Page at Revolution. Knight is one-third of the Trios Champions alongside Page and Mike Bailey, making him a high-profile target for MJF ahead of the PPV.

    AEW Women\’s World Championship Match

    Thekla (c) vs. Thunder Rosa

Thunder Rosa made her return on the February 18 edition of Dynamite after a concussion sidelined her since All In: Texas last July. She wasted no time targeting Thekla, setting up this first-time championship singles meeting between the two.

    AEW Continental Championship Eliminator

    Jon Moxley vs. Hechicero

Moxley is scheduled to defend the AEW Continental Championship against Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution in a No Time Limit Match. Tonight he faces the technically gifted Hechicero in an Eliminator bout ahead of that high-profile title defense.

    Tag Team Match

The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay) vs. The Brawling Birds

The IInspiration — formerly The IIconics in WWE — are coming off their AEW in-ring debut at House Rules in Australia. They step up tonight against The Brawling Birds, who bring momentum into this match on the back of a three-match win streak.

    Tag Team Match

Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin vs. Gabe Kidd & Clark Connors

An intriguing pairing on both sides, this one has the makings of a show-stealer. Cassidy and Allin team up to face the hard-hitting combination of Kidd and Connors in what figures to be one of the more unpredictable bouts on the card.

    Road to AEW Revolution 2026

AEW Revolution 2026 takes place Sunday, March 15 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Tonight\’s Dynamite serves as a critical final build toward Revolution. The confirmed card currently includes MJF vs. \”Hangman\” Adam Page (Texas Death Match) for the AEW World Title, FTR vs. The Young Bucks for the Tag Team Championships, and Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the Continental Title. Both championship matches tonight have direct implications for the PPV landscape heading into next weekend.

  • AEW Star Pulled From Dynamite, Indie Dates Due to Health Issue

An AEW veteran has been pulled from tonight\’s Dynamite and a series of independent bookings this week due to a health issue.

According to PWInsider, Eddie Kingston is not present at tonight\’s AEW Dynamite & Collision taping at Mission Ballroom in Denver. The Mad King has been dealing with severe migraine headaches and is tending to his health.

Beyond missing tonight\’s show, Kingston has also withdrawn from his scheduled independent appearances this weekend. P

ro Wrestling Junkies confirmed he was set to lead a seminar alongside Ortiz and participate in a meet & greet, but will no longer be attending. The promotion announced that all meet & greet ticket money will be fully refunded, with Ortiz offering to run the seminar free of charge.

    Significant Timing for Kingston

The missed dates carry added weight given where Kingston is in his career. He has publicly stated that 2026 will be his final year working the independent circuit, with plans to step away from indie bookings entirely by November. He and Ortiz are also working toward opening a wrestling school together.

There is no timetable given for Kingston\’s return, but AEW and the wrestling community will hope the veteran is back on his feet quickly.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for February 25, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight\’s show:

MJF & Hangman Adam Page Finalize the Revolution Stipulation

Last week, Hangman Adam Page proposed a Texas Death Match at Revolution — with the monumental caveat that if he loses, he will never challenge for the AEW World Championship again. Page carries a 5-1 record in Texas Death Matches in AEW, his only loss coming to Swerve Strickland at Full Gear 2023. Tonight, MJF must respond. Whatever stipulation is agreed upon, the stakes for Hangman have never been higher.

Mile High Madness – Anything Goes (10-Man Tag Team Match): FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler), Ricochet & Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) vs. Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Jungle Jack Perry & The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier & Zachary Wentz)

The Young Bucks have unfinished business with FTR after the AEW World Tag Team Champions crossed the line on Collision. Tonight, the Bucks team with Jungle Jack Perry and the Rascalz for a no-holds-barred 10-man brawl in Denver. With FTR\’s tag title defense against the Bucks looming at Revolution, expect this to escalate fast.

Non-Title: AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley vs. El Clon

The war between the Death Riders and the Don Callis Family spills into singles action tonight. AEW Continental Champion Jon Moxley faces El Clon in a non-title match, looking to rebound after the Callis Family picked up a trios win on Collision. With Moxley\’s match against Konosuke Takeshita set for Revolution, tonight is a critical tune-up heading into the PPV.

    Brody King vs. Mark Davis

After coming up short in his AEW World Championship bid against MJF at Grand Slam Australia, Brody King has vowed to work his way back to the top. Standing in his way tonight is Mark Davis, who has struggled to find consistent footing in singles competition. King is expected to make a statement in Denver.

AEW Women\’s World Tag Team Champions The Babes of Wrath (Willow Nightingale & Harley Cameron) vs. MegaBad (Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford) w/ Lena Kross

The Babes of Wrath defend the AEW Women\’s World Tag Team Championships in a rubber match against MegaBad. The challengers get added reinforcement in new AEW signee Lena Kross, who debuted at Grand Slam Australia by attacking the champions after their successful defense. Nightingale and Cameron will need to account for Kross at ringside if they hope to retain.

    Orange Cassidy vs. Gabe Kidd

Gabe Kidd made a surprise return on Collision alongside Clark Connors and immediately set his sights on Orange Cassidy following recent interference. Tonight, Kidd gets his opportunity to make an impact in what promises to be a hard-hitting clash heading into Revolution.

    Road to AEW Revolution 2026

AEW Revolution 2026 takes place Sunday, March 15, 2026.

Tonight is the ninth episode of the 11-week build to Revolution and one of the final major Dynamites before the PPV.

With the World title stipulation being finalized, the Mile High Madness match adding fuel to the FTR/Young Bucks war, and Moxley gearing up for Takeshita, Denver could be the most important stop on the Road to Revolution yet.

  • WBD Denies Blocking Brody King From AEW Dynamite

WBD has denied reports that it blocked Brody King from appearing on AEW Dynamite this week.

The heavyweight star was notably absent from the February 11, 2026 episode of the Wednesday Night show despite being set for a World title match against MJF at the Grand Slam Australia event on February 14. This came a week after the segment involving the two names went viral for anti-ICE chants from fans, gaining the attention of mainstream media.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer suggested that these two stories are connected. According to the wrestling journalist, WBD blocked King\’s appearance on AEW\’s flagship show this week in fear of more chants against the current US administration:

\”This is again not a Tony call. This is from above. You know what it is, nobody wants to get on Trump\’s bad side. If it wasn\’t for that, nobody would care, it\’s just a chant, but unfortunately, they\’ve got a company they\’re trying to sell and get regulatory approval from a guy who is gonna take that stuff personal. That\’s just how it is.\”

This is referencing the pending deal in which Netflix has agreed to acquire Warner Bros. and HBO Max from WBD for $82.7 Billion. The merger is yet to be approved by the government.

WBD has since denied this report, with a statement issued to Fightful: \”Warner Bros. Discovery did not have any involvement in Brody King\’s upcoming AEW schedule. Any speculation to the contrary is categorically false. Brody is scheduled to appear during the next AEW event, which will air this Saturday on TNT and HBO Max\”

AEW Dynamite Match Card for February 11, 2026

Here are the matches and segments announced for tonight\’s show:

AEW Women\’s World Championship Strap Match

    Kris Statlander (c) vs. Thekla

Statlander successfully defended her title against Thekla on the January 28 episode of Dynamite, but the Triangle of Madness refused to let things end there. On last Saturday\’s Collision, Thekla ambushed the champion during a backstage interview, and with Julia Hart and Skye Blue holding Statlander down, Thekla whipped her repeatedly with a belt. Rather than back down, Statlander declared a strap match for tonight\’s rematch, dubbing herself \”Straplander.\”

Strap matches are rarely used in AEW, making this stipulation feel significant. Thekla has proven she can hang with the champion, but Statlander\’s power and fighting spirit have carried her through every challenge so far. The question is whether the Triangle of Madness will find a way to tip the scales in their favor.

    TNT Championship Match

Tommaso Ciampa (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher

Ciampa shocked the wrestling world by capturing the TNT Championship from Mark Briscoe in his AEW debut on January 31, then successfully defended it in a three-way against Roderick Strong and Claudio Castagnoli on last week\’s Collision. After that defense, Fletcher stepped into the ring, handed the title back to Ciampa, and made his intentions clear: he wants to walk into his home country at Grand Slam Australia as TNT Champion.

Fletcher is a former TNT Champion who lost the title to Briscoe at Full Gear. With AEW heading to Sydney this weekend, the Australian star has extra motivation to reclaim the gold. Ciampa has already promised to \”eat him alive,\” and this one has the potential to be a show-stealer.

3-Way Tag Team #1 Contenders Match

The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier & Myron Reed) vs. Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. Wild Card Team (TBA)

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2026/02/\"AEW

Three teams will battle for a future shot at FTR\’s AEW World Tag Team Championships. The Rascalz, who were officially signed by Tony Khan in January, have built momentum with consecutive victories including last week\’s parking lot brawl on Collision. The Young Bucks advanced by defeating Gates of Agony on Collision and are looking to earn a record fourth reign as tag team champions.

The biggest mystery heading into tonight is the identity of the wild card team. Speculation ranges from The Acclaimed to Cope & Christian Cage to a Hurt Syndicate pairing. Whoever fills that slot could reshape the tag team landscape heading into the spring.

Kenny Omega & Swerve Strickland Face-to-Face Interview

Kenny Omega and Swerve Strickland sit down for a face-to-face interview

Last week on Dynamite, Swerve Strickland inadvertently cost Kenny Omega his match against Andrade El Idolo when his attempted interference backfired, allowing Andrade to pick up the victory. That loss knocked Omega out of the Grand Slam Australia #1 contender\’s match, which now features Hangman Adam Page vs. Andrade El Idolo. The two former world champions had to be physically separated after the match, and tensions remain high.

Reports indicate the Omega-Strickland rivalry is building toward a match at AEW Revolution on March 15 in Los Angeles. Tonight\’s face-to-face interview could be the moment that makes the match official — or the spark that ignites an all-out brawl before the show even gets to Australia.

Road to AEW Grand Slam Australia 2026

AEW Grand Slam Australia takes place Saturday, February 14 at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Tonight\’s Dynamite serves as the go-home show for the event, which features MJF defending the AEW World Championship against Brody King, Jon Moxley vs. Konosuke Takeshita for the Continental Championship, Hangman Adam Page vs. Andrade El Idolo for a world title shot at Revolution, a hair vs. hair mixed tag match, and more. Several outcomes tonight could directly impact the Grand Slam card.

AEW Dynamite Match Card for February 4, 2026

AEW World Championship Eliminator: MJF vs. Brody King

Brody King has been hounding MJF for a title shot, and MJF wanted King to beat \”somebody that matters\” first. King\’s pursuit intensified after MJF forced Bandido to pass out in the LeBell Lock at Maximum Carnage. A non-finish could still earn King a future title opportunity. MJF has claimed he\’ll win in two minutes flat.

AEW National Championship: Ricochet (c) vs. Jungle Jack Perry

Perry earned this shot after pinning Ricochet in a six-man tag at Worlds End. Ricochet has been dominant as inaugural champion with The Demand backing him up.

Kenny Omega vs. Andrade El Idolo

The winner advances to Grand Slam Australia to compete for an AEW World Title match at Revolution. Andrade\’s recent controversial win over Swerve Strickland has heightened the stakes, while Don Callis knows exactly where to target Omega.

Hangman Adam Page vs. Mark Davis

MJF has offered Don Callis $1,000 if Davis breaks Hangman\’s neck tonight (our scumbag!). Page has his sights on the World Championship but must get through Davis first.

    Looking Ahead

    • Grand Slam Australia – February 14 in Sydney
    • Next week: Go-home Dynamite from Ontario, California

AEW Dynamite airs tonight at 8/7c on TBS and HBO Max.
