AAA Triplemania 34 will run as a two-night event this September, expanding the format of Lucha Libre AAA’s flagship show in its second year under WWE’s umbrella.
WWE confirmed during Saturday’s Backlash broadcast in Tampa that Triplemania 34 will take place on Friday, September 11 and Sunday, September 13. Night two is set for Ciudad de Mexico, while a venue for night one has not been revealed. No matches have been announced.
The split marks the first Triplemania to run across multiple nights since WWE’s joint venture with Fillip closed its acquisition of AAA in August 2025. Last year’s Triplemania XXXIII, the first under the new ownership, ran as a single-night show at Arena CDMX on August 16, after AAA had previously held three-night Triplemania events from 2022 through 2024.
That 2025 show was headlined by El Hijo del Vikingo retaining the AAA Mega Championship over Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and El Grande Americano in a four-way match, with AJ Styles playing a role in the finish.
Where AAA Sits Heading Into Triplemania 34
The promotion enters its 2026 cycle with a strengthened broadcast footprint. FOX Corporation announced a multi-platform deal with AAA last November that brought the promotion’s programming to Mexico, Central America, and South America (excluding Brazil) starting this year. AAA on Fox now airs every Saturday at 10 p.m. ET on Fox Latin America and the WWE YouTube channel.
Storyline-wise, December’s Guerra de Titanes set up several threads carrying into 2026, including the launch of Vikingo’s “El Ojo” faction with Omos as a surprise ally.
Additional details, including the night one venue and any cross-brand involvement from the WWE roster, are expected in the coming weeks.
