WWE will kick off the 2026 King and Queen of the Ring Tournaments next week, with LA Knight announcing the news during a promo on Monday’s Raw in Columbus, Ohio, before being interrupted by Jimmy Uso.

Knight staked his claim in the tournament while making the announcement. The winner of each tournament will receive a shot at a top WWE title.

The King of the Ring tournament dates back to 1985 and became a pay-per-view staple in 1993. Notable past winners include Steve Austin, whose 1996 victory produced the iconic Austin 3:16 promo, along with Bret Hart, Owen Hart, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Edge, Brock Lesnar, Booker T, Sheamus, and Gunther.

The Queen of the Ring side is newer, introduced in 2021 as the Queen’s Crown tournament with Zelina Vega winning the inaugural edition before being rebranded to match the men’s tournament name. Jade Cargill and Nia Jax are among past winners.

The 2026 finals for both tournaments will take place on June 27 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, alongside WWE Night of Champions.
