Today marks the wedding day for AEW stars Will Ospreay and Alex Windsor, the British couple reaching a milestone they set into motion a year ago.
The two announced their engagement in June 2025, and Ospreay later confirmed the June 15, 2026 ceremony in an interview with Tokyo Sports. The date carried a notable cost. Ospreay revealed he would skip New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Osaka-jo Hall event on June 14 to prepare, choosing the wedding over one of the promotion’s marquee cards.
“I can’t appear at Osaka-jo Hall because my wedding is the day after the event, but I want to participate in as many big New Japan matches as possible this year,” Ospreay told Tokyo Sports. “AEW is the best environment, but I have a special feeling for Japan, and I also want to spend more time with the members of United Empire.”
Both Ospreay and Windsor are signed to AEW. Windsor competes as one half of the Brawling Birds tag team alongside Jamie Hayter, while Ospreay returned to NJPW action at Sakura Genesis and has signaled interest in chasing the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Titles with United Empire stablemates Great-O-Khan and Henare.
The relationship has weighed personal history alongside the in-ring résumés. Windsor previously married wrestler Ryan Smile, who died in 2020. Ospreay has helped raise her son since.
Congratulations to the couple on their wedding day.
