UFC Freedom 250 turned the South Lawn of the White House into the most unusual fight venue in company history Sunday night, June 14, and the WWE side of the TKO Group Holdings family showed up in force. Several crossover moments stood out across the broadcast.
The reigning WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns was front and center, and the UFC’s parent company posted a shot of him in the crowd that Reigns later reshared.
Triple H Hits The Pose Next To Reigns
The moment that lit up wrestling social media came when the Paramount+ broadcast cut to Reigns and Paul “Triple H” Levesque sitting ringside. Levesque, WWE’s Chief Content Officer and a member of President Donald Trump’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, casually hit his signature finger point pose toward Reigns while the camera held on the pair.
It is the same gesture Levesque is known for backstage when greeting returning stars and new champions. Reigns stayed stone-faced through it, which only made the clip travel faster.
A Hulk Hogan Tribute On The South Lawn
Wrestling crept into the cage itself. Heavyweight Josh Hokit walked out to a remix of Hulk Hogan’s “Real American” theme while wearing red, white, and blue, then defeated Derrick Lewis by second-round TKO. Hokit grabbed the microphone afterward and praised Hogan, adding that the only figure greater than the Hulkster was Jesus.
The McMahon Family Was There Too
Reigns and Levesque were not the only familiar faces. WWE President Nick Khan and Shane McMahon attended, with Shane’s presence revealed through an Instagram post from his son Declan. Shane’s mother, Linda McMahon, currently serves as United States Secretary of Education.
The McMahon and WWE presence sat alongside a separate official contingent that worked the weekend’s Fan Fest, including United States Champion Trick Williams, Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton, Charlotte Flair, The Miz, Chelsea Green, Bron Breakker, and The Usos.
McGregor Was Not Impressed
Not everyone welcomed the wrestling crossover. Conor McGregor posted on X complaining about the lack of MMA legends at the historic card, and separately took aim at Reigns being among the celebrity guests. The night drew a mixed celebrity turnout overall, with The Rock among the high-profile names who declined an invitation.
As for the fights, Justin Gaethje upset Ilia Topuria by fourth-round corner stoppage to unify the lightweight titles, while Ciryl Gane stopped Alex Pereira in the second round for the interim heavyweight crown.
Reigns is scheduled to be back on the clock quickly, with an appearance set for Monday’s WWE Raw in Baltimore.
