Mystery Box of War Delivered To Tony D’Angelo On NXT

A mystery box appears on NXT.

The night 2 of the NXT Revenge special featured Keanu Carver picking up a dominating victory over Joe Hendry, by knocking out the former TNA World Champion.

Later in the show, we saw the General Manager, Robert Stone, speaking with Tony D’Angelo. Right before this, D’Angelo was handed a mystery box with a Kanji character on it.

Stone told the NXT Champion that he will find a new challenger for him by next week. Keanu Carver then stepped into the frame, and Tony asked the NXT rookie if the box was his doing.

Carver said he had nothing to do with the box, but he then warned Tony. Keanu noted that the character on the box was a symbol of war, and he told the Don that the locker room was full of sharks and he should stay ready.

There is no word on how this latest mystery will unravel but we should get a better idea next week when Stone announces a challenger for NXT’s top prize.

Tony D’Angelo Wins NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver

    Tony D'Angelo

Tony D’Angelo won the NXT Championship in a fatal four-way match against Joe Hendry, Ethan Page, and Ricky Saints at Saturday’s Stand & Deliver premium live event. The victory marks D’Angelo’s first NXT Championship reign.

The match began with Page and Saints forming a temporary alliance to target Hendry and D’Angelo. The duo executed tandem offense including a double suplex and corner splashes on Hendry, but their partnership quickly dissolved when they argued over who should score the pinfall.

All four competitors delivered high-impact offense throughout the contest. D’Angelo speared Saints, while Hendry hit an Attitude Adjustment on D’Angelo. The action frequently moved outside the ring, with Page and Saints throwing D’Angelo into the steel steps.

Saints executed a Revolution DDT on D’Angelo on the floor, followed by Page’s Twisted Grin. Hendry responded with a cannonball over the top rope that took out both Page and Saints. Back inside, Hendry delivered a hurricanrana to Page and fallaway slams to both D’Angelo and Saints.

D’Angelo Captures Gold with Dead to Rights

The match intensified when Saints brought a steel chair into the ring and hit a Revolution DDT on Hendry onto the chair. Page broke up the pin attempt, leading to a brawl at ringside where Page powerslammed Saints through the announce table cover.

D’Angelo speared both Page and Saints off the steel steps, sending them crashing through the announce desk. He returned to the ring and avoided Hendry’s Standing Ovation attempt. D’Angelo then speared Hendry and followed with his Dead to Rights finishing maneuver to secure the pinfall and capture the NXT Championship.

This week\’s episode of the development show saw Darkstate\’s Dion Lennox calling out Tony D’Angelo. A match for the upcoming PPV was confirmed after some back and forth. Towards the ending of the segment, Lennox told D’Angelo that their fight would start in the parking lot, and Tony said that he\’d drag Dion\’s lifeless body to the ring so he can beat him in front of everyone.

Elsewhere in the show, Blake Monroe had another heated confrontation with Jaida Parker, which turned violent, with multiple locker room members having to stop the two from brawling. It was confirmed after this that the upcoming match between the two will now be a street fight.

  • Returning Star Attacks Ethan Page On NXT

Tony D’Angelo is back on NXT.

This week\’s episode of the development show featured the North American Champion Ethan Page cutting a promo about John Cena\’s upcoming retirement and his own greatness.

After a long promo, footage of The Don walking down a bridge was shown on the big screen before D’Angelo appeared in the ring. He delivered a big spinebuster to the current champion and dropped a scrap of black cloth on him to end the segment.

Page went to General Manager Ava to complain about the attack in a backstage segment afterward, but he didn\’t get a lot of sympathy from the NXT official.

The former D\’Angelo Family leader had been off TV for a while, having last wrestled on screen during the July 15 episode of the Black & Silver show.

He originally made his return to the company during the Deadline PPV this past week, where Tony attacked Je’Von Evans after the latter won the Men\’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at the show.

The returning star has yet to say a word since his reappearance, so it\’s hard to say what the motivations are behind his actions. We should get a better idea about Tony D’Angelo\’s new direction in the coming times.
