  • Grayson Waller Recalls Stern Reaction of Swifties After His Remark

    Grayson Waller had to suffer the wrath of the Swifites.

    The WWE star recently had an interview with Chris Van Vliet, where he talked about things such as how the landscape has changed for Australian wrestlers in the last 20 years, his tag team with Austin Theory and more.

    During the interview, Waller also recalled the backlash he received for saying that Travis Kelce was settling for a six in Taylor Swift during an episode of The Bump. Grayson discussed how he didn\’t even think that it was a big deal until he started going viral on TikTok:

    \”I didn’t even think about it until all of a sudden, I have these cringe mums on TikTok who don’t spend time with their kids doing videos on me about how ugly I am. And they were saying some wild stuff, like Swifty fans are mean.\”

    Grayson Waller then revealed that he was recently invited to an event where both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift were also present. The WWE star actually got to chat with Kelce, and Grayson claimed that the Football star was super nice to him and the other WWE stars there. While he didn\’t get to meet Swift officially, Grayson still got the vibe that she was a \’good sister\’ based on her behavior.

    The fans of the music star, however, have not been so kind. Grayson Waller detailed the kind of reactions he got on social media after his comments, and claimed that he had fun with them:

    \”There was one lady who was talking about how I had no lips. Never in my life have I thought about not having lips, and I’m looking at the mirror like, do I not have lips? They got my head a little bit.

    But I doubled down on it too, because I think people get stressed about when you annoy the fan base, especially the Swifties. But I doubled down on it because it was so fun. They were so angry and so upset.\”

    Roxanne Perez has made a splash in WWE in her years with the company, and now she\’d love to see Taylor Swift step into the ring. In a conversation on Sports Illustrated’s YouTube channel, Perez was asked which celebrity or pro athlete she’d want to see compete in WWE and was quick to name the music icon.

    \”I don’t know if we would actually ever see it, but I’m a big fan of Taylor Swift. So, I mean, could you imagine just seeing her in a WWE ring? I think that would be pretty groundbreaking and kind of crazy.\”

    Though she is yet to lace up her boots for in-ring action, Swift does have some connections to the world of pro wrestling. The 14-time Grammy Award-winning artist spent her younger years babysitting for Jeff Jarrett, and helped the Jarrett family immensely during the final years of the life of Jeff\’s first wife. In late 2023, Swift was spotted with WWE\’s Baron Corbin at a Kansas City Chiefs game with both cheering on Swift\’s boyfriend Travis Kelce.

    The mere idea of Taylor Swift making a WWE appearance—even briefly—would be a media sensation, drawing attention from both the entertainment world and sports outlets. While it seems unlikely, fans know to never say never in the world of WWE.

    Baron Corbin got to hang out with Taylor Swift and saw some similarities between her and \’The Tribal Chief\’ in Roman Reigns. Speaking with SEScoops correspondent Scott Fishman for VInsider, Corbin recalled how great Taylor Swift was to interact with at a Kansas City Chiefs game who Corbin is a massive fan of.

    \”The magnitude that she brings to everything and anything. It was awesome, but the biggest takeaway for me is when you are around her, she doesn’t act like a star. She acts like a normal amazing person. She is very sweet. As soon as I was introduced to her, she gives you a big hug. Then you’re like, “This is crazy. She is the biggest star on the planet right now.” To see someone so humble and how they carry themselves. In that way, it’s nice to see. It really teaches you that when people have an ego they shouldn’t.\”

    Corbin said how great it was for someone as popular as Taylor to not have an ego and Baron noted that Reigns was like that for the WWE locker room.

    \”It really teaches you that when people have an ego they shouldn’t. You look at how the biggest star in the world acts. You should be the same. It’s the same reason I say in our locker room that if Roman Reigns doesn’t have an ego, nobody on this roster should. He is the standard at the top.\”

    Corbin did say that he did thik there are similarities between wrestling fans and Swifties, noting that both fanbases are diehards. Both have a tendency to defend their cherished star with guns ablazing.

    Swift shares added pro wrestling ties besides meeting up with Corbin. She notoriously babysat Jeff Jarrett\’s kids with Jarrett noting how great Taylor was to his family during such a difficult time.

    AEW\’s Jeff Jarrett will always appreciate the efforts of pop sensation Taylor Swift who helped his family out during a very dark time in their lives.

    Before becoming one of the most successful names in music history, Swift would babysit the Jarrett children. Speaking to Live At 9:00, Jarrett spoke about how the Shake It Off star did plenty to support the family after Jeff\’s first wife passed away.

    \”She is a friend of the family. [She was] very good to my family during a very, very dark period when my wife got sick and passed away. But Taylor was like a big sister and came over and took the girls, baking cookies and just out at the house. I can\’t say enough good things about Taylor… Just a sweetheart.\”

    Jarrett added that since Swift was never on the \”Jeff Jarrett payroll\” she was never technically a babysitter. Double-J also joked that people may not be aware that she has done rather well for herself as Swift continues to be a leading name in music.

    While Taylor Swift has yet to step foot in the ring, the music icon has had her name tied to wrestling over the years. In 2014, Swift was one of several celebrities to wish those who serve the best via a video message during that year’s Tribute to the Troops. More recently, Grayson Waller has found himself feuding with Swift’s fans after rating the Grammy Award-winner a “six.” Waller has even dared Travis Kelce to defend Swift’s honor at WrestleMania 40. 

    During the post-Fastlane press conference, WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY was asked about Swift in a question that divided fans. While many saw it as a harmless bit of fun, some took issue with this question and SKY was visibly confused as to why she was being asked about a non-wrestler. 

    While fans may never see Swift in a wrestling ring, we know to never say never in this industry. Until then, Swift will continue to be a global-recognized megastar in entertainment, with the recent Eras tour further cementing her success.

She emerged as a trailblazer in the 2000s and captivated the fans with her in-ring prowess and alluring persona. She is a 7-time Women’s Champion which is a testament to her greatness. Well, she recently recognized Taylor Swift\’s gesture at Super Bowl LVIII.

    This year\’s Super Bowl LVIII saw a thrilling finish as the Kansas City Chiefs emerge victorious. At the conclusion of the fourth quarter, the Chiefs were tied 19-19 with the San Fransisco 49ers. The match went to overtime and in the last second the Chiefs scored and earned the lead and captured the Super Bowl championship. 

    Among some popular wrestling stars and celebs, was Taylor Swift. She was also spotted in the crowd enjoying the high-stakes match. 

    Taylor Swift grabbed the attention when she pulled off the signature pose of WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus.

    The former 7-time WWE Women’s champion took to her Twitter/X account and posted a picture of herself and Swift doing a similar pose.

    Trish Stratus had returned to WWE last year and had quite the run. She competed at WrestleMania, Night of Champions, and Payback Premium Live Events and was involved in a storyline with Becky Lynch before departing.

    The Superstars of WWE have weighed in as to whether it\’ll be the San Francisco 49ers or the Kansas City Chiefs who stand tall at Super Bowl LVIII. 

    The Big Game is mere hours away with excitement for the Super Bowl at a fever pitch. The match will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, which WWE fans will recognize as the host of SummerSlam 2021. 

    WWE Stars Give Their Picks for Super Bowl LVIII: 49ers or Chiefs?

    Football fans have their picks for who\’ll be winning Super Bowl LVIII, as do the WWE Superstars. In a recent video, the Superstars were asked for their predictions for the Big Game. 

    In the 49ers\’ corner, the team has Jey Uso, who made it clear he\’s red and gold \’til he\’s dead and cold and threw in a YEET for good measure. San Francisco\’s own \’Dirty\’ Dominik Mysterio is unsurprisingly backing the 49ers, as is the 2024 Women\’s Royal Rumble match winner Bayley and Alpha Academy\’s Otis. 

    The Kansas City Chiefs have some considerable star power of their own, in addition to Taylor Swift. R-Truth is backing the Chiefs, while Baron Corbin was practically offended anyone thought he wouldn\’t be rooting for the team. Carlito is also backing the 49ers, as is WWE SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. WWE Raw announcer Samantha Irvin is also backing the 49ers. 

    Not everyone had a clear-cut favorite, as Byron Saxton said that Taylor Swift was going to win the game herself. WWE Women\’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Kairi Sane simply laughed off the question. When the pair were asked the question in 2020 (which again featured the 49ers and the Chiefs), the Kabuki Warriors made it clear that they didn\’t care.

    Seth Rollins in Captain America: Brave New World

    Captain America: Brave New World will feature Seth \’Freakin\’ Rollins and the film is going to be bigger than originally planned. Deadline reports that additional scenes have been filmed for the project, which is slated for a February 2025 release. Marvel has hired Michael Orton (no relation) to pen additional scenes and material. The film had been scheduled for a May 2024 release before it was pushed back due to the now-settled WGA strike. 

    John Cena\’s New Poster

    Speaking of movies, John Cena is set to appear in Argylle, a new spy thriller in which a fiction writer learns that the stories she writes are actually happening. On Twitter, Cena spoke about the project and shared the newest poster. 

    Which Superstars Are Swifties? 

    Taylor Swift may not be a WWE Superstar but it seems that the music sensation has been quite the talking point in wrestling as of late. Backstage at Monday Night Raw, Jackie Redmond wanted to learn which Superstars are \’Swifties.\’ Chelsea Green, Becky Lynch, The Miz, Nikki Cross, Dominik Mysterio, R-Truth, Cody Rhodes, Piper Niven all gave their favorite Taylor Swift songs, while Damian Priest and Nia Jax were annoyed to be asked. Jey Uso didn\’t give a track but said he finds the Cruel Summer artist \”beautiful.\”

    Carmelo Hayes is set to compete in the U.S. Championship Contenders Tournament and will face Grayson Waller in the first round. At a recent WWE photoshoot, Waller confronted Hayes and insinuated that Melo was the one to attack Trick Williams.

    The pop sensation continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the music scene and has been spotted in recent months supporting her boyfriend Kansas City Chief Travis Kelce. During the Chiefs\’ most recent game, Corbin was part of a selfie that included Swift.

When AEW\’s Claudio Castagnoli was asked about Swift possibly appearing at the August 2024 event, the Swiss wrestler said \”I wouldn\’t put it past her!\” 

    AEW already has an \’in\’ with Taylor Swift in the form of their Director of Business Development Jeff Jarrett. In interviews, Jeff has revealed that Swift used to babysit his kids and has often said that Swift was a kind, genuine person to the Jarrett family.
