  • Stokely Hathaway Set For First Singles Match In 2 Years At Next Dynamite

Stokely Hathaway will be competing in his first singles match in more than 2 years at next week\’s episode of AEW Dynamite.

This week\’s episode of the Wednesday night show featured a backstage interview with Adam Copeland. The wrestling veteran first talked about Christian Cage before turning his attention to FTR and Stokely Hathaway.

Cope discussed the No Contact clause the duo of Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler have got against him, which stops the former World Champion from coming within 200 feet of them.

The Hall of Famer then revealed that since the stipulation does not apply to Stokely Hathaway, he went to Tony Khan and got himself a match against the FTR manager for next week\’s Dynamite. If Harwood & Wheeler got involved, their restraining order will become null and void.

Stokely Hathaway last entered the ring during the All In: London PPV in August 2024. He teamed up with Kris Statlander for a match against the team of Tomohiro Ishii & Willow Nightingale.

His last singles match came during a March 2023 episode of Dynamite. Former FTW Champion HOOK defeated him in a quick NO DQ match at the time.

Apart from this, the company has also announced a singles match between Kevin Knight and Jon Moxley for the show next week.

  • FTR Gets New Manager & Moniker On Dynamite

FTR has found a new manager.

The duo of Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood turned heel, taking out Cope during the Dynasty PPV. The former champions then terrorized Tony Schiavone and attacked Daniel Garcia, Daddy Magic, and Cool Hand Ang on the following Collision.

The tag team returned to AEW programming on this week\’s Dynamite, after having been suspended for a week for their recent actions.

FTR\’s entrance was followed by a returning Stokely Hathaway. The former manager of Kris Statlander had been missing from AEW programming since the two parted ways following the 2024 All Out PPV.

    FTR: Living Legend Killers

Hathaway introduced himself as the new agent of FTR and said that he\’s getting their suspension expunged from the record, mentioning how people like Jon Moxley, Hangman Page and Ricochet have not been punished for their actions.

The Rock ‘n Roll Express had been at the ringside for tonight\’s show, and Dax Harwood then invited them into the ring. Harwood first pretended to respect them but later started insulting the legendary tag team.

Ricky Morton stepped in when he thought FTR had gone too far. Stokely then came forward and said that he has a new shirt they will like. The shirt had the FTR logo on it with a new moniker \’Living Legend Killers\’ written underneath.

FTR proceeded to attack the Rock ‘n Roll Express and take the legends out. The Paragon then came out, leading to Dax and Cash retreating to end the segment.

  • Stokely Hathaway Shares The Hateful Feedback He Got After Backstabbing Willow Nightingale

Stokely Hathaway is in his element as a heel and he welcomes any creative type of heat he\’s getting online after turning on Willow Nightingale.

Hathaway and Kris Statlander got sick of supporting Willow Nightingale, especially after she lost the TBS Women\’s Championship to Mercedes Mone in one of the three main event matches of AEW Double or Nothing. Nightingale was super over as a babyface while Mone is finally easing into her heel identity and so will Stokely and Statlander.

AEW has advertised that we\’ll hear more from Hathaway and Statlander on the forthcoming Dynamite, but Stokely heard quite a bit from fans after he and Statlander did Willow dirty at Double or Nothing.

Stokely took to X to share screenshots of some of the creative negative comments he\’s gotten so far, including:

\”I hope you got diarrhea for a month you f***ing traitor.\”

    \”Count your days Milk Dud.\”

\”I know Darby used your head and a magnifying glass to light the flame-thrower.\”

Also, some fans kept it simple with \”F*** you, man,\” \”You b****,\” and \”Big Stoke, more like B**** Stoke.\” He also added another one in the replies that said \”I hope you done like Darby and hit by a bus.\”

This prompted Stokely to take a dig a Darby stating, \”Also Darby looks like a dumbass. If I was a MTA bus driver, I’d hit him too. FOH,\”

Mone is feeling great after winning the TBS Championship in her first AEW match and her first bout in over a year.

\”Words can’t describe this feeling. It’s good to be back. And it’s really good to be a champion.\”

  • Mercedes Mone Wins AEW TBS Title At Double Or Nothing In Her Debut Match

The former Sasha Banks made her AEW debut at Double or Nothing and left the MGM Grand Arena as a champion.

Mercedes Mone faced Willow Nightingale for the AEW TBS Title at Double or Nothing. Their match was the first of three main event matches for the night.

After a competitive match, Mercedes executed the Mone Maker and secured a clean win, marking her in-ring debut for AEW and making her the new TBS Champion.

Mercedes and Nightingale entered the match with history. They previously faced off in NJPW, where Mercedes suffered an ankle injury that cost her the NJPW Strong Women\’s Title and led to nearly a year on the sidelines.

Mercedes had a notable entrance for her match. A drum line accompanied her to the ring, adding to the moment as they kept pace with her CEO music.

This victory established Mercedes in AEW, setting the stage for her future in the company. Excalibur sang her praises after the win, saying that Mercedes will be tough to beat with a finisher like the Mone Maker.

After the match, Kris Statlander turned on Willow, hit her, and ripped off her friendship bracelet, adding insult to injury. Stokely Hathaway approved of this turn, marking a separation with Nightingale.

  • CM Punk is \”No Longer in the Company\” Claims AEW Star

CM Punk has parted ways with All Elite Wrestling according to recent comments made by Stokely Hathaway.

Punk, who debuted for AEW in August 2021, has been suspended since All Out for his role in the backstage fight.

With the third-party investigation into the fight now finished, it has been reported that Punk is seeking a buyout of his contract.

    Out of the Company

Following All Out, Tony Khan kept silent on any CM Punk matters, due to the investigation.

The now-infamous September Pay-Per-View went off the air with MJF, who had won the Casino Ladder match earlier in the night, staring down Punk.

Speaking on the latest episode of The Sessions, Stokely Hathaway spoke about his run in AEW so far, and his work with The Firm.

Hathaway noted that plans for the group to feud with CM Punk have fallen through.

\”Everything that was supposed to happen with The Firm did not happen. Back at All out, what happened immediately after the Pay-Per-View, that was a huge part of it.

\”[The person] We were supposed to directly feud with is no longer in the company. \”

    Stokely Hathaway.

Tony Khan has not confirmed CM Punk\’s AEW status or whether he has been released by All Elite Wrestling at this time.

Wanting to work with CM Punk

    \"CM

Like Punk, Hathaway is able to more than hold his own on the mic, and a war of words between them would have been epic to see.

On the podcast, Hathaway said that he regrets not getting to chance to work with the former AEW World Champion.

\”That was one thing I was looking forward to because I was hand-chosen for that role. I\’m just going to say it. I don\’t know the specifics about people choosing sides. I just know that CM Punk said \’hey. I want to work with this guy.\’ That means a lot, regardless of what has happened.\”

At AEW Full Gear, MJF captured the AEW World Championship from Jon Moxley thanks to a heel turn by William Regal.

  • Two AEW Stars Get Into Heated Altercation With Fan During Rampage Taping

It seems two AEW stars were none too pleased with a fan during a recent taping.

There have been plenty of incidents involving performers and fans in the wrestling industry for many years. Some fans have overstepped their boundaries and even attacked wrestlers.

It appears another ugly incident took place during the taping for Rampage but not much is known at this time.

Lee Moriarty & Stokely Hathaway Take Issue With Fan

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that there was some sort of altercation involving Lee Moriarty, Stokely Hathaway, and a fan. The report noted that this was more than simply two heels jousting with a member of the audience.

Details are scarce at this time but Meltzer doesn\’t expect the incident to air when Rampage hits TNT this Friday night.

As of late, we\’ve seen Moriarty turn to more underhanded tactics on AEW TV. He has aligned himself with Hathaway, who will serve as his manager.

Moriarty will take on Matt Sydal on this week\’s edition of Rampage.

  • WWE\’s Offer to Current AEW Talent Revealed

A former WWE talent was offered a deal to stay with the promotion before he went to AEW and the salary has been revealed.

We\’ve seen talent jump ship from WWE to AEW, whether it be due to a release or simply letting contracts expire. In the biggest example of an AEW talent moving to WWE, Cody Rhodes made his return to Vince McMahon\’s empire at WrestleMania 38 back in April.

In this case, it was a WWE talent who felt he\’d be better served in AEW.

    WWE\’s Offer To Stokely Hathaway

Stokley Hathaway was known as Malcolm Bivens in WWE. He performed under the NXT brand.

Back in late April, WWE released Hathaway from his contract. This was done as the company tried to sign him to a new deal but he turned it down.

We now know what the salary of that offer was.

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Stokely Hathaway was offered a $250,000 deal to move up to the main roster.

Hathaway is now a member of the AEW roster.
