Natalya’s NWA 78 Return Match Set Against Champions

WWE veteran Natalya Neidhart will wrestle both halves of Pretty Empowered in a triple-threat match at NWA 78 on July 25 at Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena, the National Wrestling Alliance announced.

Neidhart faces NWA World Women’s Tag Team Champions Kenzie Paige and Kylie Paige in a three-way where the sisters, who hold the titles as a unit, become rivals for one night. The match is non-title, with all three women competing for themselves.

The booking pulls a thread from last year. Neidhart made her NWA debut at the 2025 Crockett Cup on May 17, wrestling as “Nattie Neidhart” and challenging Kenzie Paige (c) for the NWA World Women’s Championship at the same 2300 Arena. Paige retained. Now Neidhart gets a rematch against the same opponent, with Paige’s tag partner and sister added to the mix.

Since that first NWA run, Neidhart has kept an active independent schedule alongside her WWE deal. Her most recent match outside the company came at GCW’s Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XV on April 17, where she defeated Shayna Baszler by countout. She and husband TJ Wilson continue to develop talent at their Hart Dungeon facility while she takes select outside bookings.

The NWA has stacked its 78th-anniversary card. Kerry Morton meets Colby Corino, Silas Mason (c) defends the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship against Carson Drake, and The Country Gentlemen (c) put the NWA World Tag Team Championship on the line against Blunt Force Trauma.

NWA 78 streams from the 2300 Arena on July 25.

  • Billy Corgan Praises Triple H, Nick Khan For NWA Support

Billy Corgan has credited WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque and WWE President Nick Khan with providing behind-the-scenes support for the National Wrestling Alliance. Corgan frames the cooperation as a byproduct of Triple H’s personal appreciation for old-school NWA. The NWA owner made the comments while promoting the promotion’s 78th Anniversary Show, set for July 25 at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia.

Corgan, who bought the NWA in 2017 and has served as its president and creative head ever since, spoke about the relationship during an appearance on Busted Open.

He described WWE as the industry’s driving force while stressing that its executives have gone out of their way for him privately.

“Of course, thank you Nick Khan and Triple H. The support of the NWA has been mind-blowing to me. Of course, WWE is the industry leader. They drive most of the conversation,” Corgan said.

“But, behind the scenes, WWE has treated me like gold. I have nothing but praise for them. They’ve just been amazing with me. So, what can I say? Maybe that’s just at the end of the day, Triple H being a fan of old school NWA, it means something to him that the NWA has come back too.”

    Natalya’s Involvement And WWE Cooperation

The praise arrives alongside cross-promotional cooperation that has allowed WWE’s Natalya to appear on NWA programming. Corgan confirmed she will be in wrestling action tied to NWA 78, calling it a match the promotion is excited to feature.

That kind of outside-talent involvement fits a pattern Corgan has leaned on to draw eyes to the NWA: positioning it as a traditional alternative that can still work with the sport’s biggest company. His openness to that dynamic has been documented before, including his stated willingness to see the NWA operate as a developmental system for WWE.

    NWA 78 Card Taking Shape

Corgan called the anniversary lineup the strongest the promotion has assembled, though he noted some bouts remain unannounced due to the delayed nature of NWA television. Promotional materials for the show highlighted a title defense as a centerpiece.

    • The Country Gentlemen (c) vs. Blunt Force Trauma, NWA World Tag Team Championship
    • Natalya in wrestling action (opponent to be announced)

The warm public tone contrasts with the friction Corgan has navigated with talent in the past, and it points to a genuine working relationship between the NWA and WWE’s current leadership as the promotion marks its 78th anniversary.
