Holly said that, if she does compete, she told WWE to give her a heads up well in advance so she could train for it. She hasn\’t received that call so far, and the rumble is nearly right around the corner.

“I told the creative writing team that if I do have to be in it, I need some advance notice because it hurts to go from not doing it for a long time and then getting thrown in there. So they have not given me any notice as of yet, and it’s getting close to that time, so they better tell me soon if I am gonna have to be in it.”

Holly is certainly one of the more notable names the women\’s division has seen in previous generations. She\’s a two-time WWE Women\’s Champion, a former Hardcore Champion, and was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2021. Seeing a potential return from Holly in January would definitely be a treat for many fans.

  • Backstage Update On Molly Holly And Shawn Daivari

Both Hall Of Famer Molly Holly and former wrestling star Shawn Daivari are now working as full-time producers for WWE, according to PWinsider.

The female star had a tryout for a producer role back in June after the officials decided to hire more women for the role. She was originally offered a position at the performance center as well but she declined.

After the initial tryout, Holly went through an extended learning period to familiarise herself with the role. She worked on the SmackDown brand for the most part during the training period.

Daivari on the other hand had already worked as a producer for WWE before. He was hired as a full time producer in January 2019 but had to be released due to the coronavirus budget cuts in early 2020.

He returned to wrestling after getting released. Shawn Daivari wrestled for promotions such as Impact Wrestling and MLW in the time following his departure.

He also worked as a producer for a set of NWA tapings and was brought back by WWE right after that. The 37-year-old was brought back in June this year.

With the return of crowds, both Molly Holly and Shawn Diavari have assumed full-time positions in the company. It\’s likely that WWE will hire more producers in future.

Additionally, Pat Buck has been taking on several duties backstage that had previously been performed by Drake Wuertz. Buck is now in charge of booking extras and indy talent for WWE events as part of WWE\’s Talent Relations department. Wuertz was released from WWE this spring.

Shawn Daivari is also reportedly being praised for his work as a producer in WWE since returning. Daivari was one of several names released in April 2020 but was brought back this June. Molly Holly retired from full time competition in 2005, choosing to focus on family life. Since then, she has made a handful of appearances for the company, most recently at the 2020 Royal Rumble.

There is no news yet on how well the trial went, but the addition of an experienced head like Holly would certainly be a boost to backstage operations. Especially following the high number of departures the company has seen in recent weeks.

Molly Holly was a three-time champion during her five years in WWE, including one reign as the now defunct Hardcore Champion.

A trailblazer for women in wrestling and a major influence on Beth Phoenix, Molly Holly brings a lot of experience with her. While she may be a novice as a producer, she knows wrestling. She is an experienced coach and will surely help WWE’s younger talent improve their game and hone their skills.

Holly was just inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class earlier this year.

Holly got her start in the business in 1997 before having a short run in WCW from 1999-2000. She joined WWE in 2000 where she worked as Lady Ophelia for dark matches and while valeting for William Regal. She got the Molly Holly name later that year when she was part of the Holly Cousins with Crash and Bob Holly. From 2001-2002, she was paired with The Hurricane as Mighty Molly. After that, she was booked as a singles star until her departure in 2005.

During her time with WWE, she held the Hardcore Title twice and the Women’s Title once. Many people consider her to be a pioneer for women’s wrestling as she was known as a good in-ring worker in a time where WWE signed models with no previous wrestling experience.

Holly did work as a trainer at Ken Anderson’s The Academy wrestling school in Minnesota alongside Shawn Daivari until the school went on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the talk, Victoria revealed that it was actually Holly who gave her the Widow’s Peak finishing move after she saw it at an indie wrestling show:

“I love Molly Holly, you know, I’m so proud of her. She’s the one that gave me my finishing move, the Widow’s Peak.

She saw it at an indie show and said, ‘Victoria, I have a finisher for you.’ That move made Victoria. She is just a giving person, and she’s one of those girls that’s too nice for the business. She’s not selfish; she is super giving. And I love her.”

  • Molly Holly On Why She Declined Position At WWE Performance Center

Former women\’s champion Molly Holly has been announced as an inductee for the WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2021 and she is expected to be inducted during the ceremony on the WrestleMania weekend.

The former WWE star recently had an interview with the Talkin’ Sass podcast where she talked about a number of things and opened up about her career.

“Yes they have [asked me to coach at the Performance Center] and I just don’t want to. It sounds terrible but I’m just — I’m so far removed from that world. I don’t want to be this like grizzled, bitter, jaded trainer who is like, I don’t know.

They need to have trainers who are passionate about pro wrestling, who love the psychology of it because you can meet certain people on the indies or people who used to work for WWE or people who do work for WWE and they just light up when their creative juices are going.\”

The future Hall Of Famer said that even though she might have had the skills or experience as a trainer back in the day; she is not in the place where she feels excited about that kind of job now.
