  • Toni Storm Hates Mariah May, Big Fan Of Blake Monroe

AEW Women\’s World Champion \”Timeless\” Toni Storm remains at odds with her former protégé Mariah May, but she’s a big fan of May’s new WWE persona as NXT’s Blake Monroe.

Speaking in-character on the Ariel Helwani Show, Storm didn’t hold back when reflecting on her former ally, calling her \”the single most evil cold-hearted b***h I’ve ever met in my life.\” Storm took credit for May leaving AEW earlier this year, adding that \”I’m glad that I’ve banished her.”

While Storm had nothing kind to say about May, she admitted admiration for Monroe’s WWE work. “I’m a big fan of Blake Monroe,” Storm noted, adding that while she hasn’t followed NXT closely, the glimpses she’s seen from Monroe have been “wonderful.”

Storm defeated May in a Hollywood Ending match at AEW Revolution in March 2025, in what would prove to be May\’s final appearance as an AEW wrestler. May debuted for WWE in June 2025, though WWE held off naming her upon her arrival. May was rechristened Blake Monroe the following week, a nod to Marilyn Monroe and her niece Blake.

As for Storm, she now prepares to defend the AEW Women’s World Championship (a title she won from May) at AEW All Out on September 20. Storm will face Thekla, Jamie Hayter, and Kris Statlander in a four-way match at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena.

The Storm–May rivalry is widely regarded as one of AEW’s strongest women’s storylines to date. While the two may never share the ring again, their animosity remains, even as Storm expresses her admiration for Blake Monroe.

  • Mariah May Confirms Inspiration Behind New WWE Name

Mariah May has seemingly confirmed the inspiration behind her new name.

A name change was expected for the former AEW star when she made her NXT debut a couple weeks ago. The same was confirmed with a video package on this week\’s episode of the development brand, with Blake Monroe being revealed as the new name for the female star.

The second part of her new name was obviously inspired by Iconic actress Marilyn Monroe. The fans, however, were not sure about the first name, with many believing that she should have kept the AEW name for better recognition.

The 26-year-old then posted a photo with her niece on Wednesday with the caption \’B,\’ seemingly confirming that the first part of her name is inspired by the little one:

Blake Monroe confronted the current NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne upon her NXT debut during the June 3 episode, clearly indicating that winning the title was her goal in the Black & Silver brand.

The company, however, did not include her in the mini tournament they have announced to determine Jayne\’s opponent for the upcoming Evolution 2 PPV

So it appears that the former AEW Women\’s Champion will have to wait some time to get her first title shot in WWE. It\’d be interesting to see who she feuds with in the meantime.

  • Blake Monroe (Mariah May) to Make WWE Arrival Official on June 17

Blake Monroe will make things official on the June 17, edition of WWE NXT by signing a contract to officially become a Superstar. During the June 10, episode, a breaking news alert confirmed that Monroe will put pen to paper in seven days time. The news broke during a tag team match featuring Tony D’Angelo and Luca Crusifino vs. The High Ryze.

Monroe is better known to fans as Mariah May, the former AEW Women\’s World Champion who debuted on the June 3, episode of the silver brand. Monroe wrapped up her AEW tenure earlier this year with her final All-Elite match being against Toni Storm at AEW Revolution.

With the pen soon hitting paper, Monroe’s arrival has changed the landscape of the NXT Women\’s division, leaving fans excited for what\’s next. With her sights already set on the NXT Women’s Title, it may be a matter of time before Blake Monroe is known as a champion.

  • Mariah May is now Blake Monroe

Mariah May’s new WWE ring name was indeed revealed as Blake Monroe on Tuesday’s episode of NXT on The CW. A vignette aired during the show where she was billed as “The Glamour of NXT”, continuing to use that moniker alongside her new ring name.

    The glamour is here. ?

    Introducing @BlakeMonroeWWE! ?#WWENXT pic.twitter.com/2oRQEmAFan

    — WWE (@WWE) June 11, 2025

May made her NXT debut last week on June 3rd but her name wasn’t mentioned during that initial appearance.

The name change makes sense from WWE’s perspective since her real name is Mariah May Mead, and WWE wanted to use a name the company can trademark, as trademarking a real name is more complicated. This follows a similar pattern to other recent signings like Ricky Starks becoming Ricky Saints when he joined NXT.

The name Blake appears to be a tribute to her niece.

  • Mariah May Signs With Paradigm Talent After WWE Debut

Fresh off her WWE debut, Mariah May is already making moves beyond the ring. Deadline reports that May has signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency, laying the groundwork for expansion into film, television, branding, and digital ventures.

May debuted on the June 3, edition of WWE NXT during a segment involving several women on the roster. The Glamour made her intentions clear, declaring that she will be the one to dethrone new NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne.

May enters the company with major momentum after a standout run in AEW. The London-born 26-year-old won the AEW Women’s World Championship in front of over 80,000 fans at Wembley Stadium during All In: London 2024, and held the gold for months before losing it back to Toni Storm. May\’s final AEW appearance came at AEW Revolution 2025, where she lost to Storm in their \’Hollywood Ending\’ match.

May now joins a stacked Paradigm roster alongside Tiffany Stratton, Liv Morgan, Jade Cargill, and Alexa Bliss. With this signing, fans may soon be seeing much more of The Glamour, both in and out of the ring.

  • Natalya Praises \’Total Package\’ Mariah May After WWE NXT Debut

Mariah May arrived in WWE during the June 3, edition of WWE NXT, and Natalya could not be happier. Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Natalya shared her excitement for the former AEW Women\’s World Champion.

“I’m excited for her and I think this is going to be a fun chapter for her... I’m excited to see the stories that she’s going to tell with the women at NXT. I’m excited to see her.\”

May is the latest high-profile woman to join WWE, following the likes of Giulia, Zaria, Jordynne Grace and Stephanie Vauqer. Focusing on the latter, Natalya acknowledged the similarities between Vaquer and May.

“Mariah has a similar journey where, like, you know, she went out and explored the world before coming to WWE. She was a fan. She loved it. She… wanted to pursue this. Then she moved to Japan and she, like, basically became a student of the game.”

Mariah may be known as \’The Glamour\’ but she\’s not afraid to get down and dirty (and bloody) when needed. While blood in women\’s matches remains a massive rarity in WWE, Natalya is aware that May isn\’t afraid to get messy.

\”If you get busted open in the ring… she’s shown she can work through it. I remember Trish Stratus… she broke her nose in a match and then she just kept wrestling… I think Mariah May has that grit about her.\”

Natalya went as far as to call May the \”total package\” who succeeds in wrestling ability, talking, presentation, and other vital components. The Queen of Harts signed off, not with admiration for May, but a challenge.

“I would not be against facing her, I just wanted to put that out there.”

On WWE NXT, May declared herself the next NXT Women\’s Champion. It remains to be seen if May can mirror her AEW success now as a WWE Superstar.

  • Mariah May on WWE Debut: \’It\’s About Damn Time!\’

Mariah May has landed in WWE NXT with an exciting debut during the June 3, episode of the silver brand. In her first comments after making her debut as a WWE NXT Superstar, The Glamor made clear that her arrival has been a long time coming.

\”It\’s about damn time! I\’ve wrestled all over the world and it\’s only right that the glamour arrives in NXT.\”

While May sees her WWE NXT debut as a long time coming, it has been reported that her AEW deal only expired at the start of June 2025. During her time with Tony Khan\’s promotion, May held the AEW Women\’s World Championship once, winning the title in her native England at All In: London 2024. May\’s final match was fittingly the \’Hollywood Ending\’ with Toni Storm at AEW Revolution 2025.

Now, May is in WWE NXT and has her sights set on gold. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Mariah May and her future in the wrestling juggernaut.

  • Update On Mariah May\’s WWE Debut, Potential Name Change

Former AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May has officially joined WWE, making her debut during the June 3, edition of WWE NXT. May appeared on the balcony during a segment involving NXT Women\’s Champion Jacy Jayne and made her intentions to win the gold crystal clear.

According to Fightful Select, May’s surprise appearance was kept under tight wraps. Sources say only a select few within WWE were aware of her involvement ahead of time, with even staff in the Gorilla position reportedly learning about the segment just moments before it aired.

May has now signed a multi-year contract with WWE, the report adds. Behind the scenes, internal movement had already begun to prepare for her arrival, including several recent NXT call-ups to the main roster. Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia, and Roxanne Perez have all been moved to the main roster, with Jordynne Grace expected to join them shortly.

May was officially removed from AEW’s online roster on May 31, though her management initially claimed she was still under contract. New reports suggest her deal quietly expired at the start of June. AEW had shown interest in retaining her but May clearly felt that a move to WWE was the right decision.

It’s unclear whether she’ll continue using the Mariah May name in WWE, as May didn\’t state her name on the show, and WWE\’s social media accounts have avoided giving her name. Some see this as similar to Ricky Starks, as WWE avoided using his name before rebranding him as Ricky Saints. According to a report from WrestleVotes, May is expected to receive a new ring name, though this has not been confirmed.

  • Mariah May Makes WWE NXT Debut After AEW Exit

Mariah May just made her impact known in WWE by making her debut during the June 3, edition of WWE NXT. As the women’s division descended into chaos, the lights dropped and May appeared on the balcony, earning a massive reaction from the crowd in attendance.

May declared that \”The best women’s division in the world just got a lot more glamorous\” to another loud pop. Her statement capped off a segment where the entire NXT women’s locker room unraveled over Jacy Jayne’s recent title win. Now, May has made her intentions clear, she plans on being WWE NXT Women\’s Champion. Looking into the eyes of Jacy Jayne, May made herself clear, declaring \”I’m the next NXT Women’s Champion.\”

This debut wasn’t entirely unexpected as May had been quietly removed from AEW’s roster page days earlier. It had also been reported that she was finished with AEW and was set to join WWE imminently. On X, May declared that WWE was her home.

Mariah May is the latest AEW alum to jump to WWE, following the likes of Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, CM Punk, and others. It remains to be seen if May will have similar success to her former and new colleagues now she is a WWE Superstar.

  • Mariah May Removed From AEW Roster Amid WWE Speculation

Mariah May has been removed from AEW\’s official roster, in the latest sign that her time with the promotion may be ending. On AEW\’s website, May had been listed alphabetically among the women, between Madison Rayne and Marina Shafir. As of May 29, 2025, though, May is nowhere to be seen on the site\’s official roster page.

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/05/\"https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/05/\"

May\’s exit from the site comes after weeks of online chatter about her AEW status. Speculation ramped up after her loss to Toni Storm at AEW Revolution, her most recent match for AEW. In the months since her recent match, May has shared some social media posts which some fans have interpreted as signs she might be on the way out of the company.

May is expected to join WWE, Fightful Select reports, following in the footsteps of Cody Rhodes, Jade Cargill, CM Punk, Ethan Page, Penta, and others. With May vanishing from AEW screens and now the site, speculation continues to grow that the former Women\’s World Champion will be a Superstar soon enough.

  • Mariah May Hits Back At \’Jobless\’ Dig Amid AEW Absence

Mariah May is setting the record straight, making clear she\’s not gone from AEW, but she\’s merely enjoying a vacation. When a fan on X made reference to calling May \’jobless,\’ the former AEW Women\’s World Champion responded.

    https://twitter.com/MariahMayx/status/1927552745680388119

Despite this clarification, some still argued that May was jobless, which one telling her to \”Stop being unemployed and wrestle.\” This earned another response from the Glamor.

    https://twitter.com/MariahMayx/status/1927551514140172738

May\’s comments come after weeks of online chatter about her AEW status. Speculation ramped up after her loss to Toni Storm at AEW Revolution, her most recent match for AEW. In the months since her recent match, May has shared some social media posts which some fans have interpreted as signs she might be on the way out of the company.

As for when May will return, time will tell. With this reportedly being a contract year for the Glamour, big things could be coming, but for now, May is enjoying her vacation.

  • AEW’s Mariah May: “God Forbid A Girl Takes A Vacation”

AEW star Mariah May has clarified her recent absence from television, confirming to fans that she is simply taking a well-deserved vacation. May has not been on AEW programming since her storyline involvement with \”Timeless\” Toni Storm around the AEW Revolution pay-per-view period earlier in 2025, where she played a key role as Storm\’s protégé.

Her time away from the screen led to some fan speculation online regarding her status. One social media user commented, “one day, many years from now, someone will ask, whatever happened to @MariahMayx?” – a reference to her cinematic \”feature\” segments with Storm.

May offered a direct and lighthearted response to quell any concerns, replying on X: \”God forbid a girl takes a vacation.\”

Meanwhile, May’s on-screen associate and mentor is gearing up for a significant championship defense. Storm is scheduled to defend her AEW Women\’s World Championship against challenger Mina Shirakawa at the upcoming AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view this weekend. It\’s unclear when she will beback on AEW TV, but her contract reportedly expires this year and she has interest from WWE if she becomes available.

  • Mariah May Made It Clear She Wasn’t Going To Re-Sign With AEW

Despite AEW\’s internal belief that Mariah May is likely WWE-bound upon her contract\’s expiration this year, recent information suggests her departure might not be imminent. Fightful initially reported a potential summer exit, but PWInsider.com contradicts this, stating May has \”significant time\” left on her deal, possibly extending into November or beyond.

This timeline shift means fans expecting a departure in the next few months should adjust their expectations. Since her AEW debut in November 2023, May has emerged as a significant breakout star. Her initial storyline portrayed her as the ultimate fan of Toni Storm. May integrated herself into Storm\’s world before a dramatic betrayal.

This long-term storyline reached its climax just months ago at AEW Revolution 2025, where Storm defeated May in a brutal and bloody encounter to retain her Women’s Title. May has been absent from AEW programming since then.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that May \”made it clear\” she was not planning to re-sign, and AEW booked her third match with Storm as a blow-off shortly after their second match in Australia for that reason. May has yet to comment publicly on her situation.

  • Mariah May AEW Contract Update

Mariah May still has \”significant time\” left on her AEW contract, according to PWInsider, contrary to reports that she’s due to become a free agent this summer.

May has been one of the breakout stars of the AEW roster since her arrival in November 2023. She arrived on the scene as a super-fan of Timeless Toni Storm. She quickly ingratiated herself with the silver screen starlet, before eventually turning on her and taking her most prized possession. The longterm storyline culminated just a few months ago, when Storm got revenge in a bloody war at AEW Revolution 2025.

May hasn’t been seen on AEW television since, nor has she been ‘on the road’ attending TV tapings. Over the past several days, wrestling fans have been buzzing about Dave Meltzer’s report that May is expected to leave AEW and is eager to join WWE.

Sources in AEW believe Mariah May’s AEW contract runs through November 2025, if not longer.

Whether her AEW contract expires in July, November or next February, a few things are certain: the British grappler is in high demand, and is poised to secure the biggest contract of her wrestling career.

  • Mariah May Expected to Leave AEW, WWE Believed to Be Her Next Destination

Former AEW Women\’s Champion Mariah May is believed to be parting ways with AEW to join WWE. Reports recently emerged that her contract is likely to expire this summer and she might not sign a new deal. May also recently dropped a cryptic message on social media and the photo tagged in Orlando, Florida, the city with WWE operations and it fueled speculation about her potential move to WWE.

Last year at AEW All In London, Mariah May captured the Women’s Championship for the first time in her career during her rivalry with her former mentor Toni Storm. However, after a reign of 174 days, May dropped the title back to Storm at Grand Slam Australia. Their rivalry culminated at AEW Revolution as Storm retained her title. Since then, Mariah May hasn\’t made any appearances and it is speculated that she could be leaving the promotion soon.

Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio highlighted the cryptic social media post from May and added that there is a belief in WWE that the former Women’s Champion wants to go there. Dave Meltzer said:

”She has a photo of Orlando, Florida. I know from people in WWE they know she wants to go there. I think people saw that cryptic thing. I don’t know when her contract is up, everyone seems to think it’s this summer that’s it up.”

    Bryan Alvarez agreed and said:

“I was given the impression it’s a two-year deal that she signed originally, so you can do the math. I have heard the same thing that at least in AEW, there’s a belief she’s heading to WWE.”

AEW President Tony Khan has a reputation of writing talents off programming if they are willing to leave the promotion. In this case, it\’s speculated that Mariah May could be the one to exit and that\’s why she is not participating in the Owen Hart tournament.

Over the past few years, a handful of AEW stars have departed the company before joining WWE. Most recently, Ricky Starks, Penta and Rey Fenix have inked a deal with WWE. Now, there is a huge possibility that Mariah May could be next.

  • Mariah May Breaks Silence on AEW Future with Cryptic Orlando Post

Mariah May has issued her first public comment amid growing speculation about her AEW status.

The British star had been absent from AEW programming since losing the Women’s Championship to Toni Storm at Grand Slam Australia in February 2025. Their feud, which began when May debuted in November 2023 as Storm’s protégé, spanned several major events. After winning the Owen Hart Cup, May turned heel and later captured the title from Storm at All In, only to lose it back in their latest bout.

Despite widespread praise for the storyline, May has not appeared on AEW TV since the loss, prompting questions about her status. With Fightful Select, sources within AEW believe her contract could be set to expire this summer, May has responded with a cryptic message on Instagram, stating:

“You can’t make the wrong decision because every decision leads you to where you’re supposed to be.”

The post included a photo tagged in Orlando, Florida—an area closely linked with WWE operations—further fueling discussion about her next move.

  • Mariah May Is Believed To Be In Contract Year With AEW

WWE has the potential to acquire one of AEW\’s top performers, Mariah May, should she choose to sign with them when her current contract expires. This scenario has arisen due to recent reports indicating May\’s contract situation within AEW.

Fightful Select has revealed that many within AEW, including staff, wrestlers, and management, believe Mariah May is in a contract year, with her current deal expected to conclude in the summer. The report highlights the unusual nature of such a short-term contract, given the significant push May has received. An insider expressed surprise if option years were not included, as AEW is reportedly keen to retain her regardless of the contract\’s specifics.

The awareness of May\’s contract status has circulated within AEW, particularly following her acclaimed match against Toni Storm at AEW Revolution, where she lost the AEW Women’s World Title. This increased scrutiny on her contract underscores her rising prominence within the company and the industry.

Prior to her AEW tenure, Mariah May\’s career saw significant growth, notably during her time in World Wonder Ring Stardom in Japan, where she joined the \”Club Venus\” faction. Her participation in events like the 5STAR Grand Prix 2023 demonstrated her burgeoning talent and international appeal, contributing to her growing reputation.

May\’s ascent continued with her signing to AEW in late 2023. She made an immediate impact, securing victories and winning the Owen Hart Foundation Women\’s Tournament, culminating in her AEW Women\’s World Championship win against Toni Storm at AEW All In London. This impressive trajectory has made her a highly sought-after talent, potentially attracting WWE\’s attention.

  • Toni Storm Misses Mariah May After AEW Revolution: \’Farewell My Love\’

At AEW Revolution 2025, \’Timeless\’ Toni Storm retained the AEW Women\’s World Championship against Mariah May, delivering a \’Hollywood Ending\’ in Los Angeles. Speaking after the match, a bloodied and emotion Storm paid tribute to May, saying \”I miss her aleady. Farewell my love\” before blowing a kiss.

Toni Storm and Mariah May held nothing back in Los Angeles with a series of weapons that made sense given the history between the pair. These include using a Champagne bottle as well as the shoe that started their feud off in mid-2024. The finish saw Storm use the shoe as a weapon before driving May through a Hollywood-inspired table with a Storm Zero for the hard-earned and emotional victory

Storm\’s victory over May marks the pair\’s third high-profile match on pay-per-view. At AEW All In: London, May won the Women\’s World Title from her former mentor. Storm won the title back at Grand Slam: Australia, making Storm the first four-time Women\’s World Champion.

With their feud over, questions remain as to who will be next to challenge Storm and where May goes from here. While those questions will be answered in due time, Storm is mourning the end of her friendship and rivalry with May for the time being.

  • Toni Storm & Mariah May Brawl At \’Queen Of The Ring\’ Red Carpet Premiere

Mariah May sent a painful message to AEW Women\’s World Champion \’Timeless\’ Toni Storm at the red carpet premiere of Queen of the Ring. During the event, May attacked her former mentor. Denise Salcedo of Instinct Culture captured footage from the brawl.

May and Storm will battle for the AEW Women\’s World Championship at Revolution in their third title match on pay-per-view. May captured the title from Storm at AEW All In: London 2024 while Storm regained the gold at Grand Slam: Australia. The feud between the pair has been one of the best ever from AEW\’s Women\’s division and will have its Hollywood ending this weekend at Revolution.

Queen of the Ring tells the story of Mildred Burke and her pivotal role in shaping Women\’s Wrestling in the early 20th Century. Storm appears in the film as Clara Mortensen, an in-ring adversary of Burke. Other notable names in the cast include Britt Baker, Kamille, and WWE\’s Naomi, who portray wrestlers of the era. Jim Cornette plays an NWA commissioner.

  • Toni Storm Match Made Official For AEW Revolution 2025

Toni Storm is set for a Hollywood ending at the upcoming AEW Revolution PPV.

This week\’s episode of AEW Collision opened with Mariah May attacking the AEW Women\’s Champion backstage. May then dragged Storm onto the stage, holding the Women\’s title in her hand.

The former protege laid out the Timeless star with a Storm Zero. Mariah then asked for the spotlight and cut an intense promo challenging Storm to a Revolution match:

\”Look what you made me do. You never did know how to write an ending, did you? I guess I\’m going to write one for you. I\’m going to write it in your own blood. This is our spotlight; this is our moment. Let\’s be stars together. At Revolution, let\’s have a Hollywood ending.\”

  • Toni Storm Wins Fourth AEW Women\’s Title At Grand Slam Australia

\’Timeless\’ Toni Storm\’s return to Australia proved to be a triumph as she regained the AEW Women\’s World Championship at Grand Slam. In the show\’s main event, Storm dethroned Mariah May, who had held the title since All In: London 2024, where she had defeated Storm.

Storm and May traded momentum and it would be a surprise roll-up that would give the Timeless One the win. With her victory, Storm has become the first-ever four-time Women\’s World Champion. On X (fka Twitter) made note of Storm\’s record-shattering achievement.

In the comments, fans quickly speculated that the finish, a small package, will set up a rematch between the two for the gold. While such a match has yet to be confirmed, fans can expect May to be hungry for another showdown with her former mentor.

May\’s reign had seen her retain against the likes of Anna Jay, Thunder Rosa, Willow Nightingale, and her STARDOM ally Mina Shirakawa, among others. Now that Storm once again holds the gold, it remains to be seen what\’s next for the Glamour and her former \’mentor\’ post-Grand Slam: Australia.

  • Mariah May Discusses Pressure of All In: London Match Against Toni Storm

Mariah May felt the pressure of facing Toni Storm at All In: London 2024 but the duo was determined to prove that they deserved the opportunity.

The match against Storm was special for May on a lot of levels. Not only was it her first PPV match ever under the AEW banner, but it was also her first match in the UK in many, many years. Being the conclusion of a long-running angle with the timeless one, fans had high expectations from the bout as well.

The AEW Women\’s Champion spoke about the match and her victory over Storm during a new interview with Niko Exxtra. She claimed that even though it was her rookie year in AEW, she knew that she had what it takes to become the face of the division:

\”So I never actually had a pay-per-view match before. But obviously like I said I always knew, I know it\’s my rookie year, but I always knew I could run this division and be the face.

So for me, it was like it was my first pay-per-view. It was also my first time wrestling in the UK for years, I think. Cuz I lived in Japan and wrestled there and I\’ve been in America and Canada. So it was kind of my return. My whole family was there.

The only time they ever saw me wrestle was my debut which was I think like 80 people in a school gym. So it was a pretty cool come up to be like \’Look I did it.\’ So yeah, I think there\’s definitely pressure.\”

Diamonds Are Made Under Pressure: Mariah May

Mariah May noted how fans were also expecting them to deliver big on a card that featured many notable matches. All the pressure, however, only motivated them to do their best:

\”I think there was pressure too because I knew how much people cared about this story and this match. I think I\’m never one to say \’Women should get more time because we\’re women.\’

I don\’t believe that. I think if you are the best match on the card, you\’re the most entertaining feud. We were getting millions of views online. I was like \’I want to prove that we are the most entertaining characters.\’ This was the feud that everybody cared about on such a strong card where we had Bryan Danielson might have retired. We had Mercedes Mone who\’s a huge star that just joined us.

We had all these other factors. I wanted to prove that people underestimate us, Toni and I. But we were going to deliver the best. I think what we created Cinema is what I always say. I think there was definitely pressure but diamonds are made under pressure.\”

Toni Storm took time off from AEW for a world tour after her loss to May. The former champion returned to the company last week, but with a twist. You can check out more about it here.

Storm arrived to interrupt May\’s celebration and was in her original outfit and used her \’Watch What\’s Next\’ theme song. May was shocked to see her former mentor\’s return, while Thunder Rosa, who was sitting in the crowd, held a \’WTF\’ sign.

Storm had been missing since AEW All In: London in August, where she lost the AEW Women\’s World Title to May. Storm, still the Timeless One at the time, left the show by wandering into the streets of London. Last month, Storm claimed that she was retiring from wrestling and that AEW would be fine without her.

Now though, Storm is back, much to the chagrin of May, and those wanting celebrity-endorsed tacos in Mexico. Storm has previously suggested she\’d wait until AEW Grand Slam: Australia to challenge for the gold, and it remains to be seen if AEW will wait until the February 2025 show. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Toni Storm now that former champion is back, and isn\’t living in the past.

  • Mina Shirakawa Shows Off Nasty Lump After Full Gear Heartbreak

Mina Shirakawa was left feeling worse for wear after Mariah May attempted to betray her at AEW Full Gear 2024 last weekend. During the pair\’s celebration of May\’s championship reign, the AEW Women\’s World Champion attempted to attack her friend. Shirakawa, seeing the betrayal coming, ducked, kicked a champagne glass out of May\’s hand, and speared her off the ramp through a table.

Mina may have been the one standing tall at Full Gear but she hardly left the show unfazed. In addition to the heartbreak of being betrayed by her longtime friend and tag team partner. On X, the Japanese star showed the nasty lump on her head she suffered at the pay-per-view.

Shirakawa is ready to bring the fight to her former friend and the pair are expected to feud over the AEW Women\’s World Championship. Mina has yet to hold gold since arriving in AEW while May has held the title since All In: London, where she destroyed another former ally in \’Timeless\’ Toni Storm. The New Zealand-Australian star recently \’retired\’ from professional wrestling, though many, including Tony Khan, have doubts that the former champion is truly gone for good.

In the meantime, Shirakawa is poised to feud with May, and is wise to her former friend\’s schemes as shown by her quick thinking at Full Gear. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on this feud, with May already vowing to get revenge on the Japanese star.
