AEW Dynamite/Collision Philadelphia Preview: Full Card, Match Breakdown & What to Watch

All Elite Wrestling brings a special three-hour combined Dynamite/Collision broadcast to the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania tonight — Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Belltime is 7:30 PM ET on TBS, and the card is loaded with street fights, Owen Hart Tournament action, and a championship celebration that should set the tone for the coming weeks.

Here’s everything announced for tonight’s show and what it means heading into AEW’s next chapter.

    Full Announced Card

Lights Out Philly Street Fight: Kris Statlander vs. Hikaru Shida

This one has been building for weeks and it’s going No DQ in Philadelphia — the perfect city for a brutal street fight. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida are two of AEW’s most physically gifted women’s division talents, and with no rules and no disqualifications, expect chairs, kendo sticks, and a fight that leaves marks. Philly fans will be in their element for this one.

Watch for: Any post-match implications for the AEW TBS Championship picture.

Owen Hart Men’s Tournament Quarterfinal: Mark Davis vs. “Jungle” Jack Perry

The Owen Hart Foundation Tournament rolls on with a high-stakes quarterfinal. Mark Davis of Aussie Open brings raw power and crowd-pleasing charisma, but “Jungle” Jack Perry — currently one of AEW’s hottest heels — is the kind of disruptive force that tournament brackets fear. A Perry win keeps his momentum rolling; a Davis win would be a massive upset pop.

Watch for: Don Callis Family interference, given tonight’s Renee Paquette interview with Kyle Fletcher & Callis is already on the card.

Chris Jericho vs. Ricochet — Everyone Banned From Ringside

When AEW has to ban everyone from ringside, you know there’s been chaos leading into this one. Chris Jericho and Ricochet go one-on-one in what should be a technically sharp, story-driven contest. Stripping away the entourages puts the focus squarely on both men — and in Philadelphia, where the fans know their wrestling, expect a crowd that is invested in every nearfall.

Watch for: Whether Jericho’s Learning Tree cronies find a way to get involved regardless of the stipulation.

    Key Segments

MJF’s 3x AEW World Championship Jamboree

MJF celebrating himself in Philadelphia is a pro wrestling gift. The Salt of the Earth is a three-time AEW World Champion, and you can bet he’s going to milk every second of that in front of a crowd that has a complicated — and electric — relationship with him. This segment almost certainly sets up MJF’s next feud or puts a target on his back. Don’t skip it.

    TNT Champion Kevin Knight Speaks

We’ll hear from TNT Champion “The Jet” Kevin Knight tonight. With the title freshly in his hands, Philadelphia is as big a stage as any for Knight to establish his championship voice. His direction heading into AEW’s next major event is likely to crystalize here.

Renee Paquette Interviews Kyle Fletcher & Don Callis

The Don Callis Family’s internal dynamics and next targets are always worth monitoring. With the Owen Hart Tournament bracket in play, this interview could reveal their strategy — or implode it.

    What to Watch For

    • MJF’s Opponent: The post-celebration challenge or attack will likely signal his next program. Every major heel and babyface on the roster is a candidate.
    • Owen Hart Bracket: With a quarterfinal tonight, AEW should give us a clearer picture of the semifinal matchups. Keep track of who advances.
    • Street Fight Fallout: Statlander vs. Shida in a Lights Out match with no rules almost guarantees a brutal finish — and possibly a new rivalry sprout from the wreckage.
    • Kyle Fletcher/Callis Plans: With Fletcher likely positioned near the top of the card and the Owen Hart Tournament in progress, tonight’s interview sets the table.

A title change at Fairway to Hell.

Tonight’s special edition of Collision took place at the indoor golf course at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The ring for the event was set up right on the golf course grass, giving the event a very unique feel.

The opening match of the night saw Jack Perry defending the AEW National Championship against Mark Davis of the Don Callis Family. As expected, Callis distracted the referee toward the end of the bout. It was Ricochet who proved to be the deciding factor in the match, however.

The Demand Leader and a former National Champion in his own right, Ricochet attacked Perry with a Golf Club while Don Callis kept the official distracted. Davis then pinned Jungle Boy to win his first singles title in the company after previously having held the Trios Belt.

This ends Jack Perry’s reign as champion at 55 days. He had won the title at the Revolution PPV in March this year, where the Inaugural Champion Ricochet defended the belt in a 21 Man Blackjack Battle Royal.

Jack Perry Retains AEW National Title at Dynasty Zero Hour

Jack Perry retained the AEW National Championship at AEW Dynasty Zero Hour on April 12, defeating Don Callis Family member Mark Davis in singles competition. Perry secured the pinfall victory with a hurricanrana.

The match saw Perry escape Davis’s signature Close Your Eyes and Count to Three maneuver before delivering a piledriver that nearly ended the contest. Perry got a close two count off the move before ultimately finishing Davis with the hurricanrana moments later.

    First Successful Title Defense

This marked the first successful defense of Perry’s National Championship reign. He captured the title at AEW Revolution by winning the 21-man Blackjack Battle Royale.

  • Darby Allin Suffers Head Injury, Forced Out of Continental Classic

Darby Allin has been forced to withdraw from the 2025 AEW Continental Classic after suffering a legitimate head injury during his opening match against Kevin Knight.

The announcement came during Saturday\’s AEW Collision in Columbus, Ohio, where commentator Tony Schiavone confirmed that Allin was not medically cleared to continue in the tournament. Jack Perry has been named as his replacement in the Gold League.

    What Happened to Darby Allin?

Allin was injured during his November 26 match against Kevin Knight on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of Dynamite. While the match saw Knight pick up the victory, the bigger story was the legitimate injury Allin sustained during the bout.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Allin suffered a head injury from a \”singular blow\” during the match. Initial speculation pointed to Knight\’s coast-to-coast dropkick as the cause, but Meltzer clarified that was not the case, instead attributing the injury to a \”real bad fall\” during a different spot.

Following the match, Allin was rushed to the hospital. He was shown in a hospital bed wearing a neck brace on the December 3 episode of Dynamite, when Excalibur announced he was not medically cleared for competition or travel.

Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio later reported that while Allin was hospitalized for a period, he has since been discharged and is recovering at home.

    Darby Allin\’s Emotional Promo

In a backstage promo aired on Collision, a frustrated Allin addressed his situation:

\”The last year, I\’ve thought I was winning this war with the Death Riders, but in reality, I was just winning the battle. They\’re winning the war. You know why? Because they\’re out here week in and week out wrestling, doing f***ing push-ups.

\”I was wrestling Kevin Knight. For the first time in my career, I was scared. I felt my legs give out. I was rushed to the hospital. And I guess the AEW doctors are taking me out of this Continental Classic, and that\’s fine! If you want to save Darby from Darby, that\’s fine, I don\’t give a s***.

\”And I hear Jack Perry\’s taking my spot. I\’ve never seen eye-to-eye with Jack Perry, but if you\’re taking my spot, man, go on, win the whole f***ing thing! I hope you do! As for Darby, I don\’t know. I don\’t… know.\”

    Jack Perry Steps In

Jack Perry will inherit Allin\’s spot in the Gold League, starting with zero points. His remaining matches in the tournament will be against Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, PAC, and \”Speedball\” Mike Bailey.

Perry faces an uphill battle, as Kyle Fletcher currently leads the Gold League with 6 points (2-0), while Okada, PAC, and Kevin Knight are all tied at 3 points. Perry will need to win most, if not all, of his remaining matches to have a realistic shot at advancing to the semifinals at Worlds End on December 27.

The former TNT and Tag Team Champion returns to singles competition after spending recent months as part of Jurassic Express. This represents his first significant singles push since late 2024.

    What\’s Next for Darby Allin?

There is currently no timeline for Allin\’s return to in-ring action. As Meltzer noted, head injuries have unpredictable recovery periods—Allin could potentially return in a matter of weeks, or could be sidelined for months.

Despite being pulled from the tournament, Allin made clear his rivalry with the Death Riders is far from over. The faction—which includes Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir—has been a dominant force in AEW and figures to be a focal point of Allin\’s eventual return.

AEW\’s decision to replace Allin rather than have him forfeit his remaining matches follows the precedent set in the 2024 Continental Classic. The tournament continues this week with Dynamite Winter Is Coming on December 10 and Collision Winter Is Coming on December 13.
