Goldberg Calls Out Triple H Over Disrespectful WWE Sendoff

Goldberg has fired back at WWE and Triple H over how his retirement sendoff was handled, expressing his frustration during a recent fan meet-and-greet.

During a recent meet-and-greet (via Pop the Chain) over the weekend, a fan confronted Goldberg about the moment his microphone was cut off while giving his farewell speech after his retirement match. The interaction quickly escalated as both the fan and Goldberg expressed their displeasure with WWE’s handling of the moment.

“You know what pissed me off? When WWE cut off your mic at your final match,” the fan said, clearly still frustrated with how Goldberg’s sendoff was handled.

    Goldberg’s Sarcastic Response

Goldberg didn’t hold back with his response, delivering a sarcastic reaction that made it clear he remains upset about the situation.

“Yeah! What do you think it did for me? It made me really happy. It shows what disrespect they have for me,” Goldberg said.

The conversation then turned toward who might have been responsible for the decision to cut his microphone. When the fan asked if Triple H was behind it, Goldberg’s response was telling.

    Triple H Called Out

“What jackass was it? Was it Triple H who did that?” the fan asked.

Goldberg’s answer didn’t defend anyone as he simply said, “Probably.”

When the fan doubled down with another shot at Triple H, calling him “a jackass,” Goldberg backed up the sentiment without hesitation, responding “100%.”

The ongoing tension between Goldberg and WWE management is real. Whether or not he makes another pro wrestling appearance remains to be seen, but he’s not the good will ambassador that WWE seeks from its retired legends.

  • Goldberg Named CEO of Patriot Tactical Gear Company

Bill Goldberg has officially stepped into the business world, being named Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Patriot Tactical, a tactical gear and lifestyle brand based in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The announcement comes months after Goldberg wrestled his final match at Saturday Night\’s Main Event in July 2025, where he faced World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in an emotional farewell in his hometown of Atlanta. With his in-ring career now behind him, the WWE Hall of Famer is turning his focus to building a brand in the tactical and preparedness space.

Patriot Tactical specializes in tactical knives, everyday carry (EDC) gear, protective equipment, and training-focused products. As CEO, Goldberg will lead the company\’s national expansion, including new product lines, retail partnerships, and live event activations planned throughout 2026.

\”For me, this isn\’t about putting my name on a brand,\” Goldberg said in the announcement. \”It\’s about building something that stands for strength, discipline, and protecting what matters most. Patriot Tactical is about empowering people — physically, mentally, and strategically. We\’re creating a movement.\”

Before becoming one of the most dominant figures in professional wrestling history, Goldberg played in the NFL for the Atlanta Falcons and Los Angeles Rams. His new role leans into that same competitive background, with the company emphasizing discipline, preparedness, and community outreach, including veteran-focused initiatives.

\”This is about impact,\” Goldberg added. \”We\’re here to change lives — whether that\’s giving someone the confidence to protect their family, inspiring the next generation to live with discipline, or building a brotherhood of like-minded patriots.\”

Goldberg\’s retirement from the ring last summer closed a legendary career that spanned WCW, WWE, and multiple world championship reigns across four decades. His move into an executive role signals the next chapter for the 58-year-old, who appears intent on channeling his competitive drive into the business world.

  • Gunther Claims He\’s Doing a \’Good Service\’ Retiring Legends

Gunther isn\’t just embracing his \”Career Killer\” moniker — he\’s proud of it. Speaking on WWE\’s Royal Rumble Recap podcast after retiring AJ Styles at the 2026 Royal Rumble, the Ring General declared that ending the careers of wrestling legends is a public service.

Gunther: Retiring Legends is a \’Good Service\’ to Wrestling

When asked about his growing list of career-ending victories — which now includes Bill Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles — Gunther showed zero remorse and instead framed himself as wrestling\’s necessary villain.

\”I\’m doing a good service to the sport, to the business of professional wrestling, because there\’s all those guys, they always think they\’re welcome, they chase another moment, and nobody takes the time and invests their energy in stepping up to them and make them understand, \’hey, get out of here.\’

It\’s like, you\’ve done your thing. It\’s time to move on and take moments away from people far greater like myself.\”

Gunther sends another WWE legend into retirement

Gunther went on to dismiss any notion that his legacy is defined by the legends he\’s vanquished, emphasizing that his success stands on its own merits.

\”My career is not built on Goldberg, John Cena, AJ Styles. My career is built on the results I deliver, the performances I deliver. That\’s what it\’s built on.\”

Gunther Calls Roman Reigns \’An Obstacle\’

After choking out Styles earlier in the night, Gunther pulled double duty by entering the Men\’s Royal Rumble match at No. 30. He eliminated Penta and Randy Orton before finding himself in the final two with Roman Reigns — who ultimately tossed Gunther over the top rope to win.

It marked the second time Gunther has been Royal Rumble runner-up, having also finished second to Cody Rhodes in 2023.

When the topic of Reigns came up, Gunther made it clear the Tribal Chief is now on his radar.

\”Making it to the last two with Roman Reigns, for the first time with Roman in the ring, my way leads to the World Heavyweight Championship or the WWE Championship in the future. I assume it won\’t be the last time. We\’ll see. [He\’s] definitely an obstacle.\”

Gunther calls Roman Reigns \”an obstacle\”

Gunther also acknowledged that his match with Styles took a physical toll heading into the Rumble. \”AJ took it out of me,\” he admitted, noting he was already banged up by the time he entered the 30-man match.

    The Career Killer\’s Growing Legacy

Gunther\’s \”Career Killer\” persona has become one of WWE\’s most compelling character arcs. After retiring Goldberg at Saturday Night\’s Main Event in July 2025, the Ring General went on to win the Last Time Is Now tournament and defeat John Cena in Cena\’s final match that December. WWE formalized the gimmick by trademarking \”The Career Killer\” just days before the Royal Rumble.

With three legendary retirements now under his belt, the question on everyone\’s mind is who\’s next. Gunther\’s comments about Reigns suggest the two-time World Heavyweight Champion has his sights set on championship gold — and if a legend happens to be holding that title, all the better for his growing list of victims.

The road to WrestleMania 42 is shaping up to be a dangerous one for any veteran who crosses Gunther\’s path.
