Ethan Page came up short in his Intercontinental Championship bid at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, but he’s not done talking — and he’s not hiding his frustration.
Penta retained the title after connecting with the Mexican Destroyer for the pinfall. In the aftermath, Page took to social media under his @OfficialEGO handle to deliver a characteristically self-serving post-match statement.
“Honestly, I’ve just been kind of practicing a victory speech. I didn’t really think about what to complain about, who to blame or where to point my finger.
“I could easily throw this masked prick under the bus for stealing a move from my home country of Canada, renaming it Mexican and then beating me with it. I could definitely complain about that.
“The Intercontinental Championship finally got the spotlight it deserved, Saturday Night’s Main Event, in a match with Ethan Page’s name on the marquee, exactly what the Intercontinental Championship deserves.
“A man that doesn’t hide his face, a man that will carry it with pride, and a man that would take it around the globe, and fight anybody and everybody for it. That is what I’m upset about. But that is something I can easily correct.”
Despite the loss, Page’s statement makes it clear he’s far from finished with the Intercontinental title scene — and with Penta specifically. The line about the Mexican Destroyer being a move “stolen from Canada” is classic Page ego, but it also plants a flag: he’s not going away quietly.
Based on Page’s tone, a rematch may not be far off.
Ethan Page is officially a member of the WWE Raw roster, and his first night on the main roster ended with a statement made by an unlikely source.
On the post-WrestleMania 42 edition of Raw in Las Vegas, Page was introduced by SmackDown General Manager Adam Pearce as Raw’s newest superstar during a backstage segment involving Je’Von Evans and Intercontinental Champion Penta.
Pearce made a match between Page and Evans official on the spot, and Page won the bout to kick off his main roster run with a victory.
The night did not end there. Following the match, Rusev attacked Evans before Penta ran in to make the save. Page then stepped in to distract Penta, allowing Rusev to shift his assault onto the champion. Rusev stood tall holding the Intercontinental Championship to close the segment, setting up what appears to be a clear program for the title in the weeks ahead.
Page joined NXT in May 2024 and quickly established himself as one of the brand’s top performers. He held both the NXT North American Championship and the NXT Championship during his developmental run, most recently competing in a title match against Tony D’Angelo at NXT Revenge before the call-up.
While Page had appeared on WWE’s main roster programming before, the April 20 Raw marks the first time he has competed in a match on the red brand.
WWE is actively discussing main roster call-ups for several NXT talents following WrestleMania 42, with four names currently at the forefront of those conversations.
Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Blake Monroe, and Jacy Jayne are among the names being heavily considered for promotion to Raw or SmackDown.
The discussions come with an important caveat. Lola Vice and Tony D’Angelo winning championships at NXT Revenge has reportedly removed both from call-up consideration for now. Vice captured the NXT Women’s Championship while D’Angelo won the NXT Championship at the event, and title reigns typically signal that WWE intends to keep those performers in NXT for the foreseeable future.
Of the four names in consideration, Jayne has main roster experience, having previously competed on SmackDown as part of Toxic Attraction before returning to NXT. Page has been one of NXT’s most established presences since arriving in the brand. Saints and Monroe represent newer talent being developed with a potential main roster future in mind.
Call-ups would likely occur with the post-WrestleMania roster shakeup, which typically takes effect in the weeks following WrestleMania as WWE reconfigures its programming heading into the spring and summer calendar. They would also start the build for the next PLE, Backlash, on May 9th in Tampa.
WrestleMania 42 takes place April 18-19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Former NXT Champion Ethan Page recently received recognition from the Canadian government on March 22nd, for his outstanding global impact through sport and entertainment. Ned Kuruc, a Member of Parliament, presented Page with an official document of recognition in Hamilton, Ontario. Kuruc called Ethan Page a ‘Canadian hero’.
The recognition highlights Page’s positive representation of Canada on a global scale. Page also runs the Alpha-1 Wrestling promotion in the Hamilton area.
“Canadian Hero. Local Legend.” – Government of Canada
“Ethan, thank you very much for coming in today. We appreciate you. This is a recognition from myself and the Government of Canada and Parliament to Ethan Page in recognition of your outstanding global impact through sport and entertainment. You represent Canada tremendously. You are a Canadian hero in my eyes, so thank you for all the goodwill that you do for Canada and Stoney Creek and Hamilton because you are a local legend.”
Page added:
“Ladies and gentlemen, this is what I’ve been doing since I started wrestling,” he said while waving a small Canadian flag. “I will continue to do it, and it feels good to be recognized for it. I’ll be honest, Ned, when you invited me, I really thought you guys were gonna unveil a statue in Stoney Creek.”
Page is scheduled to be in Ricky Saints’ corner as the latter faces Tony D’Angelo on the Tuesday, March 24th edition of NXT.

The dynamics that have all but defined Judgment Day across its four-year run include in-fighting and transformation. Indeed, it’s telling that the group launched with Edge teaming up with Damian Priest, before Rhea Ripley and Finn Balor joined their ranks. Fast forward to the present and none of those four members remain in the faction. Rather, Dominik Mysterio, the youngster the faction seemed to manipulate into betraying his father now comes across as the mastermind who ousted Balor from the clubhouse.
Other talents have come and gone from Judgment Day, with R-Truth and Carlito each playing offbeat, often as not comedic supporting roles. The group still has Mysterio and Liv Morgan in the de facto leadership roles, with JD McDonough and Raquel Rodriguez backing them up plus, when she returns to action, Roxanne Perez as an up and comer. Balor’s departure from the group leaves a void, though, as, for the first time in group history, they lack a male performer who’s both in the upper echelon of in-ring workers and credible to insert into the main event picture.
Judgment Day has, to its credit, reinvented itself time and again. Assuming the faction isn’t winding down its run—and with Morgan likely walking out of WrestleMania as Women’s World Champion and Mysterio continuing to come into his own, they probably shouldn’t– it does feel as though the group would benefit from a new addition.
Perhaps a new talent could lend a hand in the group prevailing at WrestleMania, or else come in as reinforcements after some major setbacks in Vegas. Regardless, there’s a lot of potential on the WWE roster to write this stable’s next chapter.
Omos

Omos has had a strange run with WWE. His story seems to come down to him being too awesome a physical spectacle for WWE to give up on him, while also struggling to come along as a performer, such that the company’s not fully behind him.
By virtue of the giant’s look and size, he could add immediate gravitas to Judgment Day. He can play the old school heater the way Diesel was for Shawn Michaels—someone Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonough can carry the work load for in the ring and on the mic while also hiding behind Omos as cowardly heels.
Ethan Page

Ethan Page has had a fantastic run in NXT. There’s a case that he still has more to accomplish there or that when he gets the call up, he should renew his partnership with Chelsea Green on a bigger stage. Judgment Day is another option, though.
When Roxanne Perez joined the faction, it highlighted the ability of Judgment Day, with its notoriety and capacity for in-fighting, to immediately give a fresh main roster talent a clear role and interesting storylines. Page’s natural heel inclinations could fit the group, while also planting seeds for the next power struggle as his All Ego persona invites eventual conflict with Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan about who is actually in charge.
Importantly, while Page isn’t a giant, he’s also a big-bodied enough to add a different dimension and greater physical credibility to the stable moving forward.
Damian Priest

For all the talents who’ve made their way in and out of Judgment Day, one angle WWE hasn’t explored yet is someone coming back home to the faction after having splintered off. Some of that’s with good reason. Edge felt more natural as a babyface legend before leaving for AEW. Rhea Ripley has thrived out on her own.
It has been a different story for Damian Priest. He arguably did some of his very best main roster work in the immediate aftermath of his old running buddies turning on him. Playing a destructive force of a babyface and working together with Rhea Ripley, Priest came across as a legitimate force and, in some ways, more credible at the top of the card than he had during his World Heavyweight Championship reign.
The years to follow have been rougher, though. Priest feels as though he’s largely returned to the early days of his main roster run, credible in the upper card, but a step behind talents like Drew McIntyre, matched up well against Aleister Black, but without a clear path forward. Spending his WrestleMania season in the SmackDown tag title picture makes reasonable sense, as his credibility and R-Truth’s comedy complement one another, but that doesn’t feel like a sustainable future, especially with so many legitimate full-time tag teams working today.
The Archer of Infamy and Judgment Day could help one another out. On one hand it would be throwback. On the other hand, the collab could revitalize Priest’s sense of direction while beefing up Judgment Day with a big man who carries former world champ credentials.
Danhausen
Judgment Day could use a big body and a ring general. An integral part of the faction’s history also comes down to odd couples, though, and humor offsetting their more serious pursuits. Indeed, the Prison Dom gimmick both put Dominik Mysterio on the map as a heel and added layers to Judgment Day. From there, R-Truth’s wacky antics kept the group vital, then Carlito’s background role and feeling smitten with the women in the group all added tremendous entertainment value.
Despite a rocky introduction, Danhausen has beaten the odds in getting some traction with the WWE audience over the weeks to follow. One of the keys to such an off-kilter character maintaining his momentum will be having straight men to play off and ideally build ongoing stories with. The Very Nice, Very Evil Superstar already interacted with Judgment Day, cursing Mysterio en route to him dropping the Intercontinental Championship to Penta. Could there be more in store?
Maybe Mysterio could try to harness Danhausen’s powers to curse opponents. Maybe WWE could play up odd couple dynamics between the new star and the women of Judgment Day. Regardless, there’s a great deal of potential for something genuinely new for the group and something to give Danhausen direction in them striking up a partnership.
Rusev
Rusev is a talented big man, but his decisive loss to Oba Femi on Raw seems to confirm what many fans have suspected for months. WWE sees Rusev, at this stage of his career, less as a featured player in his own right than an imposing jobber to the stars.
Positioning The Bulgarian Brute as a heater for Judgment Day could serve multiple purposes. Like Damian Priest, he’d offer a big body with some credibility, plus he’s a good worker. The old Rusev Day gimmick demonstrated his ability to play into comedy as well. Meanwhile, for Rusev’s benefit, enrollment in the faction would give him a regular purpose on TV. The alliance would also open up tag team options with Dominik Mysterio or especially JD McDonough to both drive the big man’s character forward and offer an organic route for Judgment Day to collect more gold.
Ethan Page is not happy after losing his AAA Latin American Championship in controversial fashion at Guerra de Titanes.
Page appeared to have won the title at the event, briefly becoming a triple champion. However, the decision was reversed after Mr. Iguana pointed out that Page had used a wrench to secure the victory. The referee restarted the match, and Page ultimately lost the championship.
In a post-match statement, Page placed the blame squarely on Mr. Iguana’s shoulders.
“I was a triple champion, a wrestler unlike anyone on Earth today, and a man named Mr Iguana, who hangs out with a puppet, ruined everything,” Page said. “Not just for me, not just for my two beautiful children, my hot, sexy wife, no. He ruined it for the company which pays his bills, AAA. It’s all your fault, Iguana, 2026 is going to start awful.”
The statement sets up what appears to be a brewing feud between Page and Mr. Iguana heading into 2026.
Chelsea Green has revealed how her partnership with Ethan Page came together seemingly by chance, admitting she had to Google him before their first appearance together.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT, the two-time Women\’s US Champion explained that she received almost no advance notice about the pairing that has become one of WWE\’s most entertaining acts.
\”I got a call like the day before being like, \’Hey, you\’re going to come into NXT?\’ I said, \’Sure.\’ I just assumed I was going to have a singles match. And I showed up and they said, \’Oh, you\’re going to be with Ethan.\’ And I\’m like, \’Ethan who?\’ And then they said, \’Ethan Page.\’ I had to Google.\”
Despite the last-minute introduction, Green says she and Page share an inexplicable connection that makes their on-screen chemistry work perfectly.
\”I would also like to know this [why they work so well together]. Every single time we are together, it\’s like the Spider-Man meme always. It\’s very strange. I feel like he\’s like my twin,\” Green explained. \”I don\’t know who in NXT thought to put us together, but I owe them a lot of money when Ethan gets called up.\”
Green recalled the moment she realized the partnership would be special, noting Page\’s promo abilities immediately impressed her.
\”I remember being backstage and listening to him out in the ring when I was going to come out and do the first promo with him and his facial expressions and the s**t that was coming out of his mouth was just like, \’Oh my god, I couldn\’t have said it any better.\’ And we actually get along, too. Which that\’s rare.\”
The champion addressed her sister\’s observation that Page is \”stealing her spotlight,\” but Green sees it as the perfect dynamic for a successful partnership.
\”My sister called me the other day to tell me that he\’s stealing my spotlight and I think that that is a perfect partnership. I bet that his wife would probably say the same. That\’s what you should be doing. You should be trying to outshine each other but in the most productive way.\”
Green also praised Page for committing to her tradition of never wearing the same gear twice, noting that he\’s gotten new gear for every appearance alongside her.
Chelsea Green has revealed how her recent viral moment came about.
The Women\’s US Champion recently spoke to Chris Van Vliet for a new interview. Among other things, she was asked about her video with Ethan Page that recently went viral after the November 4 episode of NXT.
The show saw Joe Hendry crashing a celebration of Green and Page, with Thea Hail smearing both of them with cream. Chelsea did a backstage video after the episode where she claimed that she had \’never been creamed on like this before\’ and the whole thing became a social media hit.
Revealing how the video came about, Chelsea Green noted that it was something that she came up with on the spot. The current AAA Mixed Tag Champion claimed that she was shocked that the company decided to post the whole thing.
Though she later mentioned that she probably shouldn\’t be surprised since the officials have done similar things with Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio before:
“Actually, that just came off the top of my head. No, I can’t believe they posted that. I am shocked. I came back from the creaming, I said it, and I was like, ‘Okay, do we need to redo that?’
And he was like, ‘No, I’m gonna post it.’ I’m like, what?!\” Ethan was like, ‘No, no, please God no!’ The things that I make that man do, oh my gosh. God bless him. But yeah, then they posted it, and it went viral. I was shocked.\”
Chelsea Green also talked about her pairing with Ethan Page, saying that she doesn\’t know who came up with the idea.
The WWE star revealed that she wasn\’t aware of Page\’s work before their partnership and had to google the NXT star when she was told they\’ll be working together. Though Green noted that she became a fan of the NXT North American Champion the first time she saw her promo.
This week\’s episode of the development show featured the North American Champion Ethan Page cutting a promo about John Cena\’s upcoming retirement and his own greatness.
After a long promo, footage of The Don walking down a bridge was shown on the big screen before D’Angelo appeared in the ring. He delivered a big spinebuster to the current champion and dropped a scrap of black cloth on him to end the segment.
Page went to General Manager Ava to complain about the attack in a backstage segment afterward, but he didn\’t get a lot of sympathy from the NXT official.
The former D\’Angelo Family leader had been off TV for a while, having last wrestled on screen during the July 15 episode of the Black & Silver show.
He originally made his return to the company during the Deadline PPV this past week, where Tony attacked Je’Von Evans after the latter won the Men\’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at the show.
The returning star has yet to say a word since his reappearance, so it\’s hard to say what the motivations are behind his actions. We should get a better idea about Tony D’Angelo\’s new direction in the coming times.
