Renee Paquette has named Eddie Kingston as her favorite person backstage in All Elite Wrestling. The AEW broadcaster made the comments during a recent interview, praising Kingston’s authenticity and personality.

Speaking with Who Is…?, Paquette was asked to identify her favorite person backstage in the promotion. Without hesitation, she chose the former AEW World Champion.

“My favorite person backstage. There’s a lot, obviously. I gotta go Eddie Kingston,” Paquette said. “I love Eddie. I don’t care which version of Eddie I get that day, whether it’s good mood Eddie, it’s bad mood Eddie. I find him entertaining and he’s just a real person. He gives you all sides of him at all times. So I gotta go Eddie.”

Kingston has been close friends with Jon Moxley for years, a relationship that extends to Moxley’s wife, Paquette. The wrestler has never been shy about speaking his mind, both on camera and behind the scenes in AEW.

Paquette’s comments highlight Kingston’s reputation for being genuine and unfiltered, traits that have made him a fan favorite since his AEW debut. His willingness to show all aspects of his personality appears to resonate with colleagues as much as it does with audiences.

    Samoa Joe gets an opponent.

Eddie Kingston had called the new AEW World Heavyweight Champion out at the Thanksgiving special of Collision this week. This came after Kingston defeated Katsuyori Shibata at the show.

While the Samoan Submission Machine did not respond to this challenge, Tony Khan on Friday, made the World Heavyweight Championship match official for the Winter is Coming Dynamite on December 10:

Samoa Joe defeated Hangman Page to become a two-time AEW Champion at Full Gear on November 22. The ending of the Steel Cage bout saw HOOK cracking Page with the title belt to turn heel and side with The Opps.

As the former TNA star was celebrating his victory with his team, however, Swerve Strickland made his surprise return to the company.

Swerve was offered a chance to take revenge on Page, who was still out, but the returning star chose to attack Joe and the rest of the Opps instead. The show had then ended with Hangman coming back alive and standing tall with his arch rival after taking out the last of the Opps\’ minions.

The duo of Strickland and Page were seen together on this week\’s Dynamite again. A violent brawl between them and the Opps ended with the security having to pull them apart.
