Raw Star Makes First Appearance Since WrestleMania 42

    Dragon Lee is back.

Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw featured Rey Mysterio taking on Rusev in a IC Title #1 Contender match. This match was made by General Manager Adam Pearce after Ethan Page objected to the WWE Hall of Famer getting a title shot without having to earn it.

Page sat ringside for this encounter. The ending of the bout saw Rusev catching the high-flying star mid-way through 619 and going for the Accolade. Before the submission could be locked properly, however, Mysterio rolled the former AEW star up for a successful pin.

The Bulgarian Brute attacked the new #1 Contender after the bell, prompting the return of Dragon Lee. Ethan Page tried to ruin the moment, but Lee took him out too, and then set Rusev up for a 619. The segment finally ended with Dragon Lee taking out Page with a dive outside the ring, while Rey connected the 619 on Rusev:

Dragon Lee last wrestled during Night 2 of WrestleMania 42, taking part in the IC title ladder match where Penta retained the belt. He had been off TV since then. There is no word on when Rey will be getting his title shot but it’s unlikely to be added to the Clash In Italy PPV this Sunday.

  • Watch: Luchador Unmasked During Raw Match

Gunther continues to be the ultimate villain of WWE.

The Ring General was in action on this week\’s episode of Raw. He faced Dragon Lee in a singles match after the masked star attacked him during his entrance. Lee put on a valiant effort, and he almost beat his opponent via a countout after delivering an Operation Dragon to him outside the ring.

The ending of the bout then saw the former World Champion countering another Operation Dragon into a sleeper hold. In a controversial moment, Gunther ended up removing Dragon Lee\’s mask during this sequence, forcing the high-flying star to tap out for the victory:

    What\’s Next For Gunther?

The Austrian star did not compete at the Elimination Chamber PPV after losing his qualifying match on the February 16 Raw thanks to Dragon Lee. He ended AJ Styles\’ career at Royal Rumble before that.

There is no word on what the company is planning for Gunther at WrestleMania. After tonight\’s angle, it\’s likely that we will see him crossing paths with Lee\’s mentor Rey Mysterio in the coming times.

  • Final Raw of 2025 Ends With Big Title Change

    The Usos are champions again.

The final WWE Raw episode of 2025 saw the brothers reuniting to challenge Dragon Lee and AJ Styles for the World Tag Team Championships.

The finishing minutes of this main event match featuring 4 of WWE\’s most exciting stars saw some crazy moves. This included Lee taking out Jimmy Uso with a mid-rope suicide dive on the announce desk and Jey Uso kicking out of a Styles Clash.

The ending of the bout saw AJ putting Jey Uso on the ropes for a Stomp-Styles Clash combo with his partner. As he held up his opponent, however, Big Jim came alive and took out Dragon Lee with a big kick.

Styles then let Jey go, and he went for a Phenomenal Forearm on Jimmy. He couldn\’t deliver the move as the Usos took AJ out with a double superkick mid-air.

Another superkick and 1D combo on Dragon Lee proved to be fatal for the defending champions, and the Usos picked up a pinfall victory to end the year as champions.

This title change ends the reign of Styles and Lee at 70 days and starts the 9th reign of the Usos with the tag team gold in WWE.

  • WWE Reportedly Pushing To Re-Sign Raw Star

WWE World Tag Team Champion Dragon Lee is currently on a major hot streak, and WWE officials are taking notice—even when he\’s not in a WWE ring. According to a new report from PWInsider.com, officials were \”very impressed\” by Lee’s performance at the recent AAA Héroes Inmortales event, where he challenged Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship.

Even though Lee lost the match, his performance has reportedly accelerated WWE\’s desire to secure his long-term future. The report states that WWE is now pushing to lock Lee into a new contract well before his current deal expires next year.

Lee, who signed with WWE in 2022, has seen his momentum skyrocket recently. Just last week on the October 20 episode of Monday Night Raw, he and AJ Styles captured the World Tag Team Championships from The Judgment Day, marking Lee\’s first title victory on the main roster. This recent success, combined with his standout performance at the AAA show, has solidified his value in the eyes of management.

Sources within WWE reportedly believe that Dragon Lee is \”becoming an essential part of regular programming.\” The push to get a new deal done now is seen as a strategic move to secure the 30-year-old star before outside offers can start \”rolling in\” as his contract expiration date approaches.

While Dragon Lee didn\’t walk away from Héroes Inmortales with another championship, he may have secured himself a more lucrative, long-term future in WWE.

  • AJ Styles And Dragon Lee Win WWE World Tag Team Titles

On a night that saw the World Heavyweight Championship vacated due to injury, a championship change also took place on the October 20 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. The new team of AJ Styles and Dragon Lee defeated The Judgment Day\’s Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to capture the World Tag Team Championships.

The victory marks a significant milestone for both men. For Styles, it is his second tag team championship reign in WWE, while for Dragon Lee, it is his first taste of championship gold on the main roster. The title change brings an end to the reign of Balor and McDonagh, which began in June.

The championship match was only the second title defense for The Judgment Day members in over three months. Their previous defense was a successful one against the LWO\’s Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro back in July. Tonight in Sacramento, their reign came to an end at the hands of the veteran Styles, who is in the midst of his retirement tour, and the rising star Dragon Lee.

This championship win is a big moment for Styles as he winds down his legendary in-ring career, which he has stated will conclude in 2026. For Dragon Lee, this is his first title win on the main roster and his first-ever tag team championship in WWE.

  • Dominik Mysterio Invades AAA, Added To TripleMania Title Match

Dominik Mysterio made himself known in a major way at AAA\’s July 25 event in Mexico City. In his unannounced appearance Mysterio stunned fans by attacking Dragon Lee and Hijo del Vikingo immediately after their match.

Grabbing a microphone after the ambush, Dominik made it clear he wasn’t in Mexico just to cause trouble—he came for championship gold. His challenge led to a major announcement: Mysterio is now officially part of the AAA Mega Championship match at TripleManía.

The high-stakes bout will see Hijo del Vikingo defend his title against Dragon Lee, El Grande Americano, and now, Dominik Mysterio. The showdown will come on August 16, where the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion plans on leaving as a double champion.

Before then, Dominik will be at SummerSlam, where he’s set to defend the Intercontinental Title against AJ Styles. The Judgment Day star is certainly making an impression in wrestling, both in and out of WWE.

  • El Grande Americano Wins WWE Speed Title from Dragon Lee

Mere weeks after his WWE debut, El Grande Americano is proving he\’s not to be overlooked—this time by capturing championship gold. During the May 7 edition of WWE Speed, the luchador won the WWE Speed Championship, ending Dragon Lee\’s reign in the process.

With this victory, El Grande Americano becomes the fourth Superstar to hold the WWE Speed title, following in the footsteps of Ricochet, Andrade, and Lee. On X, El Grande shared a message with his supporters:

\”I want to publicly thank the WWE Universe for the support they have given me on my journey to earn my FIRST WWE singles title! Even though I\’ve been doing this for 40 years or more, I\’ve been made to feel like this is all new to me. Let\’s celebrate!!\”

Americano’s win wasn’t just a title victory—it marked yet another conquest over a fellow luchador. Since his \’debut\’ earlier this year, El Grande Americano has made it his mission to dismantle his masked rivals in WWE. At WrestleMania 41, he defeated Rey Fenix, who stepped in for the injured Rey Mysterio.

It remains to be seen how far El Grande Americano can go as WWE Speed Champion. But after decades of being blacklisted by the lucha community, or so he claims, Americano has firmly planted his boots in WWE—and he’s not going anywhere.

  • Dragon Lee Unmasked on WWE Raw

On March 24 at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro, WWE Raw featured a compelling bout between Dragon Lee and the debuting El Grande Americano. Originally, Lee was slated to compete against Chad Gable. However, Gable, citing illness and presenting a doctor’s note to Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, was replaced by El Grande Americano.

The match was intense, with both competitors showcasing their athleticism. The turning point occurred when El Grande Americano, while countering a top-rope maneuver, forcibly removed Dragon Lee’s mask.

Lee scrambled to conceal his identity, providing El Grande Americano the opportunity to apply an ankle lock. With Lee preoccupied, he had no choice but to submit, granting El Grande Americano the victory.

There’s a deep cultural significance of masks in professional wrestling, particularly in lucha libre traditions. Unmasking an opponent is considered a profound sign of disrespect and can have lasting implications on a wrestler’s career.

  • Rey Mysterio Attacked & Titles On The Line After WWE Raw In Nashville

The February 10, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw saw the red brand take a huge step towards Elimination Chamber 2025, with two Superstars earning their spots in the PLE\’s two chamber matches. Bayley defeated Lyra Valkyria to earn a spot in the Women\’s Chamber while the main event of Raw saw Logan Paul defeat Rey Mysterio to punch his ticket to Toronto.

After Raw, the New Day attacked Mysterio, once again to a chorus of boos from the WWE Universe. Dragon Lee arrived to make the save and was able to hold off Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for a period of time. Ultimately though, the numbers proved too much and Lee would also fall to the former Tag Team Champions.

The assault on Mysterio wasn\’t the only notable moment after this week\’s episode of Monday Night Raw went off the air. In a dark match after the show, Women\’s Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Naomi put their titles on the line against Chelsea Green and Piper Niven. Despite the efforts of the challengers to make Green a double champion, Belair and Naomi retained their gold.

Belair has held the gold since WWE Bash In Berlin while Naomi has replaced Jade Cargill following the attack on the Storm in a parking lot. With another victory to their name, it may be a while before fans see the women\’s tag team titles change hands.

  • Dragon Lee Confirms Birth Of Daughter Amid WWE Hiatus

Current WWE Speed Champion Dragon Lee has announced the birth of his third daughter.

The high-flying star had addressed his absence from WWE programming in recent times in an Instagram post earlier in the week. He revealed that his wife was in the final stages of pregnancy and he had been home helping her during this time.

Lee had noted that the little one could arrive as soon as this week and he confirmed the birth of his daughter in a social media post late on Thursday:

Dragon has a previous daughter from his first marriage and he also has another daughter from his second relationship as revealed in his previous post.

The 29-year-old Mexican luchador left AAA to join WWE at the start of 2023. Lee held the NXT North American Championship during his time in the WWE developmental, notably having a feud with \’Dirty\’ Dominik Mysterio over the title.

He joined the Latino World Order under the leadership of Rey Mysterio upon his main roster debut in April last year and Dragon Lee has been a part of the group ever since.

The masked star has not wrestled for WWE since the December 16, 2024 episode of Main Event and a timetable for his return is not known.

SEScoops would like to congratulate Lee and his partner on the occasion.

  • Dragon Lee Shares Personal Reason For WWE Raw Absence

Dragon Lee was conspicuous by his absence during this week\’s WWE Raw when the LWO confronted Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. After Rey Mysterio\’s victory over Kingston, LWO members Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde thwarted an attack.

On his Instagram stories, Lee explained his absence.

“Hey everyone! Hope y’all are doing well. I don’t usually share my personal stuff, but I want to grab my phone and do it today because I am happy and anxious because in a few days I will hold in my hands my new princess that is on the way. She could (arrive) today, tomorrow, the day after, this weekend or even next week but she is coming, so I am very excited to receive my second princess, well actually third counting my first child and my wife. That’s been the reason why I have not been at work recently, I have been helping my wife but you will see a stronger Dragon Lee and giving my best as I always do inside that ring soon. Sending hugs to everyone!”

In May 2024, Lee shared that he and his wife are expecting their second child. In August, the couple confirmed that they are expecting a baby girl. Lee is currently in his first reign as WWE Speed Champion, a title he captured from Andrade during the episode that released on November 20.

  • WWE\’s LWO Serves 50,000 Meals In Thanksgiving Community Outreach

WWE and the LWO celebrated Thanksgiving in a unique way this year by ensuring that people in Arizona received a hot meal on the special day. Rey Mysterio, Zelina Vega, Joaquin Wilde, and WWE Speed Champion Dragon Lee attended the Food Donation Drive in Arizona and delivered 50,000 meals according to Mysterio. The line for food had been miles long since 6:30 in the morning at St Mary\’s Food Bank, the Hall of Famer added.

It wasn\’t just meals that the trio of WWE Superstars were handing out as the group presented the St. Mary’s crew with a replica Undisputed WWE Championship belt.

The event demonstrated WWE\’s commitment to making a difference and was part of WWE\’s community outreach program. The program sees WWE commit to various philanthropic endeavors, with WWE Warrior Award recipient Titus O\’Neil playing a role in the program.

On WWE programming, the LWO has been feuding with Chad Gable\’s American Made faction, with Mysterio and Lee facing Brutus and Julius Creed during the latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Despite this setback, the pair, alongside Zelina Vega, were all smiles as they used this year\’s Thanksgiving to make a massive difference to the people of Arizona.
