  • D-Von Dudley Calls for More Security After WrestleCon Incident

D-Von Dudley Calls for More Security After WrestleCon Incident

WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley recently called for increased security at wrestling conventions after Elayna Black(formerly Cora Jade in WWE) accused a fan of sexual assault at WrestleCon on April 18, 2026.

Dudley warned that fan behavior has crossed dangerous lines and stronger protection is needed for wrestlers in public settings.

In an interview with Devon & The Duke, Dudley explained that some fans believe seeing wrestlers on television permits them to invade personal space. He said the problem is happening more frequently, particularly with female performers.

“Yeah, I think we definitely need more security… when these women are out in public, and I see it, these guys think because they see them on TV that they have the right to put their arms around them, touch them, say inappropriate things.”

    Bodyguards May Be Necessary

Dudley said the situation has reached a point where bodyguards might be required, even if security costs make that difficult for independent wrestlers. He made it clear that ignoring the issue is no longer an option.

“I think a lot of these girls more than ever need bodyguards with them… but we need some type of — we need something — because it’s really getting out of hand now.”

Former multi-time Tag Team Champion also warned fans to respect boundaries when wrestlers are with family or going about their daily lives outside of scheduled appearances.

“Fans got to understand… if someone’s eating with their family… leave them alone. Leave them be. You don’t have the right to touch them,” Dudley said.

Unwanted Physical Contact a Growing Concern

Dudley addressed more extreme behavior, calling out unwanted physical contact and offensive actions that have become a real concern.

“You don’t have the right to squeeze their behinds… you definitely don’t have the right to come out of your mouth inappropriately.”

He pushed fans to consider how they would react if similar behavior happened to someone close to them.

“If that was your son, if that was your daughter… how would you feel? People don’t put that into consideration.”

Dudley also warned that these situations can quickly turn dangerous, especially when fans try to provoke reactions that could lead to legal trouble. He added:

“It’s scary. It really is scary… I got a little glimpse of it and it’s rough. So imagine how all of those guys in the public eye have to go through that all the time.”

“These people are out there to try to push your buttons so you would hit them… and next thing you know you’re in court.”

Dudley’s warning adds pressure on event organizers to take security seriously as incidents like this continue to surface, and performers speak out about unwanted contact from fans.

  • D-Von Dudley Raises Concerns Over Children’s Safety Amid School Shootings Crisis

D-Von Dudley Raises Concerns Over Children’s Safety Amid School Shootings Crisis

WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley recently said that he will not have more children due to the ongoing epidemic of school shootings in the United States. The multi-time Tag Team Champion expressed deep concern about bringing kids into the current environment.

Speaking on the “DukeLovesRasslin” podcast, D-Von explained his hesitation to expand his family. He cited the constant threat of gun violence in schools as the primary reason.

“The world is so bad right now. I don’t want to bring another kid into this world because I don’t want them to have to deal with this. I feel guilty as it is to have the kid that I have now, because they have to deal with this.”

    Fear for Current Children’s Safety

D-Von Dudley described the terror parents face when sending their children to school. He painted a vivid picture of the anxiety modern parents experience daily.

“It’s like, how terrified am I to have to know that one day I take my child to school, and I get a phone call saying, ‘Mr. Hughes, there’s been a shooting at the school.’ When did all of this start to happen?”

He expressed disbelief at the current security measures required at schools.

“It’s like now your kids aren’t safe to go to school. There are police officers with rifles and machine guns guarding elementary school students. It’s like, what? You’ve got to be kidding me.”

The United States experiences more school shootings per year than the rest of the world combined. The USA recorded 288 school shootings between 2009 and 2018. Mexico ranked second with only 8 incidents, while South Africa is at third place with 6.

  • Jim Ross Addresses D-Von Dudley Racism Allegations, Offers Private Reconciliation

WWE Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross has once again addressed racism allegations made by D-Von Dudley, firmly denying the claims while offering to reconnect with the Dudley Boyz legend—but only in private.

Speaking on his \”Grilling JR\” podcast with Conrad Thompson, Ross appeared frustrated at having to repeatedly address the situation.

\”How many times do I gotta address it to satisfy everybody? I am not a racist. I have never been a racist,\” Ross stated. \”Ask some of the African-American athletes that I\’ve been around and worked with in my 50-year career. They\’ll say the same thing.\”

Despite the ongoing controversy, Ross extended an olive branch to D-Von, though he made clear he won\’t turn their reconciliation into content.

\”No problem, Conrad. I\’m happy to do it. I\’m just not going to put it on tape and make a TV show out of it. Period,\” Ross said. \”I am interested in reconnecting with Devon because I like Devon.\”

Ross expressed bewilderment at the allegations, stating he has no memory of negative interactions with D-Von.

\”I was bewildered by how this could happen because like I said, I don\’t remember any negative exchanges with him,\” Ross explained. \”There\’s no ill will in my heart towards Devon or any other person of color.\”

The controversy took a new turn when D-Von claimed in a recent video that Ross was \”extremely drunk\” during the alleged incident, potentially explaining why Ross has no recollection of the events.

What Happened With Jim Ross and D-Von Dudley?

    Timeline of Events:

    • 1990s–2000s: D-Von Dudley and Jim Ross work together in WWE during the Dudley Boyz run, with Ross in talent relations and on commentary.
    • October 2025: On his own YouTube/podcast, D-Von says he experienced racism from certain WWE officials and later confirms he is referring to Jim Ross.
    • Late December 2025: On “Grilling JR,” Ross publicly denies the allegations, calls them “absurd,” and says he has never been a racist.
    • January 2026 (early): In a new YouTube video, D-Von provides detailed accounts of two alleged racist incidents involving Ross (a WWE restaurant event and an Indianapolis interaction involving Paul Heyman) and says Ross was very drunk/heavily intoxicated during one of them.
    • January 2026 (following days): Ross addresses the situation again on “Grilling JR,” reiterates his denial, states he is not and has never been a racist, and says he would have no problem reconnecting with D-Von privately while expressing confusion over the accusations.

The situation remains unresolved several months later, with Ross maintaining his innocence while keeping the door open for private dialogue with D-Von to clear the air.

  • \’You\’re Damn Right\’: D-Von Dudley Reveals What Jim Ross Allegedly Said

D-Von Dudley has fired back at Jim Ross in a new video responding to JR\’s denial of racism allegations, providing detailed accounts of two separate incidents and backing from fellow WWE veteran Maven.

In a new video on his YouTube channel, D-Von directly addressed JR\’s denial on his Christmas Day podcast where he called the claims \”absurd\”, suggesting D-Von was \”conjuring up\” stories for attention.

\”I have no ill feelings towards him, okay? But don\’t take cheap shots at me for something that you did. Don\’t sit there and tell me, you know, that I\’m lying cuz I know I\’m not,\” D-Von stated.

D-Von provided a detailed account of a WWE restaurant event where he claims JR, while heavily intoxicated, made racially charged comments about him to Bubba Ray Dudley.

\”JR says, \’You know, the verdict\’s not out yet, but I\’m still a little hesitant with Devon.\’ And Bubba butts in and goes, \’You know something, J.R., regardless to what, Devon\’s a hard worker. He never gives this company any problems.\’ And finally, that\’s when it comes out. You know, he\’s black, you know. I just I don\’t know. And that\’s my hiccup.\”

D-Von also revealed a second incident in Indianapolis witnessed by Paul Heyman, who has spoken fondly about his time running ECW, where Heyman confronted JR directly.

\”Paul Heyman basically called him out, says, \’What? You don\’t want to say hello to Devon? What? Cuz he\’s black.\’ And [JR] went, \’You\’re damn right. Cuz he\’s black.\’ You\’re damn right,\” D-Von alleged.

Maven, who appeared alongside D-Von, offered his own analysis of JR\’s defense, calling it flawed.

\”When he says, \’I like Devon. I booked them. They made money off me.\’ That\’s not the argument he thinks it is. Because news flash, good old Jr., when Devon makes money, you make money. And booking was your job, whether you liked, disliked, or were indifferent to anybody,\” Maven explained.

D-Von was careful to clear other WWE officials, stating that Vince McMahon, Triple H, Michael Hayes, John Laurinaitis, and Pat Patterson were not the individuals he was referring to when he first revealed he faced racism as soon as he joined WWE.

Despite the allegations, D-Von expressed no desire for an apology or any form of reconciliation. \”The days of you needing anything from him are long gone. I love the fact that I\’ll never need anything from JR ever. And that said, I wish him nothing but the best.\”

Booker T has also weighed in, stating that while JR never said anything racist to him personally, he added that he knows \”Devon isn\’t a liar.\” Booker was recently named the greatest Black wrestler in history by BET.

  • Jim Ross Responds to D-Von Dudley\’s Racism Allegations

Jim Ross has finally addressed racism allegations made by D-Von Dudley in October 2025, calling the claims \”absurd\” during the December 25th edition of his Grilling JR podcast.

D-Von previously stated he experienced racism from \”certain top officials\” in WWE, specifically naming Jim Ross and alleging JR said, \”I don\’t like you because of the color of your skin.\”

When co-host Conrad Thompson played a clip of D-Von\’s comments and gave JR a chance to respond, the WWE Hall of Famer categorically denied the allegation.

\”That\’s so absurd, it doesn\’t merit a response,\” Ross stated. \”I never said that to D-Von Dudley. And why he would conjure up that — I guess to get attention. Maybe he\’s not as happy with his post-wrestling life as Bubba is.\”

JR emphasized his respect for The Dudley Boyz, noting he hired the team and helped book their legendary TLC matches.

\”I like D-Von. I like him today. I hired he and Bubba. I thought we did a good job of booking them. They made money,\” Ross explained.

Despite the denial, Ross said he holds no anger toward D-Von: \”I\’m not angry at D-Von. I\’m just curious and don\’t understand why he went there. I just don\’t get it.\”

  • Ricochet Rejects WWE Legend’s Claim Over Tony Khan’s Leadership

AEW star Ricochet has come to the defense of Tony Khan’s leadership after a bold claim by a WWE/TNA Wrestling Hall of Famer. During a recent interview with VideoGamer.com, D-Von Dudley questioned Khan’s leadership of the All-Elite promotion.

“There’s a feeling that certain people in the organization that call the shots, I’m not a big fan of them. And Tony Khan lets that happen… I’ve got nothing against AEW as a company. I’ve got nothing against Tony Khan. I just don’t like the way the organization is run.”

D-Von also claimed that a lot of AEW’s talent shares his frustrations. According to Dudley, many on AEW’s roster wish Khan would take more control and wish that “certain people wouldn’t be calling the shots.”

On X, Ricochet fired back. He argued that the notion of people making decisions over Khan is false and that if the AEW President wants something, he will have the final say.

    This is not true.

If tony wants something to happen/or not happen I promise you he will make the final decision. https://t.co/AoSwKMuWB4

    — Lightskin Kingpin (@KingRicochet) October 25, 2025

D-Von’s comments are not the first time that Khan’s leadership has come under scrutiny. In September 2025, Konnan claimed that AEW talent had “no respect” for Khan’s leadership during an episode of his K100 podcast. With that said, Khan has plenty of support, with Matt Hardy praising Khan as the best boss he’s ever worked for.

Khan believes it is impossible to please everyone, but he will continue to run AEW how he sees fit. While D-Von may have some bold claims about Khan and how the roster allegedly feels about his leadership, Ricochet isn’t buying what he’s saying.

  • D-Von Dudley Reveals If Logan Paul Would Have Survived In Attitude Era

D-Von Dudley has revealed his thoughts on Logan Paul.

The Attitude Era star recently had an interview with VideoGamer.com. He talked about things such as his Bound For Glory retirement match, the worst bump he has ever taken and more.

When asked what he thinks about celebrities crossing over into the business, the wrestling legend spoke positively. He mentioned how people like Bad Bunny bring in an audience that aren’t normally a fan of wrestling. D-Von also had praise for Logan Paul when asked about the YouTuber’s WWE run:

“The stuff I’ve seen, I think he’s a true athlete and he takes the game very seriously and my hat goes off to him. Someone who had no experience in doing what we do here, and he’s picked it up, he’s absorbed it like a sponge. My hat goes off to him.”

There Was Always A Problem: D-Von Dudley

Though later on, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked if someone like Paul would have survived in the WCW era. D-Von, who was never part of the WCW roster but has experience with hostile locker rooms, claimed that old school guys would have broken someone like Logan:

“No. I say that respectfully because a lot of these old school guys would not have liked that. They would’ve been trying to mess with him. Trying to get him to crack,

And that was the way the business was back then. They weren’t letting outside people into our locker room at that. There was always a problem. This generation, totally different.”

Apart from this, D-Von Dudley also explained why he would have never had his retirement match in AEW. You can check out his comments on the matter here.

  • D-Von Dudley Explains Why He Wouldn\’t End His Career In AEW

D-Von Dudley has explained why AEW was never on the table for his retirement match.

The wrestling legend recently had an interview with VideoGamer.com. He talked about things such as a bump from his career he would never want to take again, what\’s next for him and more.

During the talk, the Attitude Era star was also asked if he always planned to end his career in a TNA ring. D-Von claimed that his goal was to retire in the right way and he didn\’t have a specific promotion in mind for it. The former WWE star then claimed that he would not have done the retirement match for AEW:

\”I would not have done it for AEW just because I don’t think AEW was ever a fit for the Dudleys. For other people probably, yes, but to me, not the Dudleys. I don’t know if I would’ve felt comfortable. There’s just certain things about the organization.\”

The Dudley Boyz laced up their boots one final time for a match against the Hardy Boys at TNA\’s Bound For Glory PPV earlier this month on October 12. After their loss, the duo of D-Von and Bully Ray handed over their boots to the Hardys, signalling the end of their legendary careers.

Explaining what he doesn\’t like about AEW, Brother Devon said that he is not a fan of President Tony Khan letting other people run his company:

\”I love the talent. I think the talent is great. There’s no question about that, but there’s a feeling that certain people in the organization that call the shots, I’m not a big fan of them. and Tony Khan lets that happen. So I don’t ever think that it would’ve ever been able to take place in AEW.\”

Dudley reiterated that he doesn\’t have a problem with the talent and he has many friends in AEW. Though he claimed that a lot people in the promotion feel frustrated over this issue. He just wishes that \’certain people\’ would not be calling the shots in the company and Tony Khan would take more control instead.

  • Team 3D Hint At Retirement After Bound for Glory 2025 Loss

Team 3D (Bully Ray and Devon) battled Matt and Jeff Hardy one final time at TNA Bound for Glory 2025, in an epic war between two iconic tag teams. The match saw both the WWE NXT and TNA World Tag Team Championships on the line, with the Hardys walking in as double champions.

Brother Runt—known to WWE fans as Spike Dudley—accompanied his brothers to the ring for the tables match. The Hardys sealed the win by sending Bubba through a table to retain their gold.

After the match, Bully Ray and Devon removed their wrestling boots and handed them to the Hardy Boys. In wrestling, leaving one\’s wrestling boots behind signifies a wrestler\’s retirement. The four hugged in the ring after the bout, much to the appreciation of the crowd.

Devon had previously made clear that Bound for Glory would be his final match, and it looks like Bully Ray will be joining him. Facing one of wrestling\’s most iconic teams at TNA\’s biggest show of the year, there are certainly worse ways for Team 3D to bring an end to their in-ring career.

  • Team 3D To Appear At WWE NXT Vs. TNA Wrestling Showdown

Team 3D (Bully Ray & Devon) will be live at the upcoming WWE NXT Vs. TNA Wrestling Showdown, and will have their eyes on one match in particular. On X, Matt Hardy highlighted his and Jeff\’s upcoming title for title match against NXT\’s Darkstate. The winners will hold both the TNA World Tag Team Titles and the NXT Tag Team Titles.

In a response, Bully Ray shared that he and Devon will be watching from the front row, confirming their attendance at Showdown. When Matt shared that he didn\’t expect to see the duo until Bound for Glory on Sunday, Bully was glad to surprise his rival.

Bully\’s warning comes ahead of Bound for Glory, where he and Devon will battle Matt and Jeff. Their tables match is being promoted as the final encounter between two of wrestling\’s most significant tag-teams. The match is currently slated to be for the TNA World Tag Team Titles, though it could also be for the NXT Tag Team Titles depending on the result at Showdown.

With high stakes at both Showdown and Bound for Glory, it\’s highly likely that Team 3D will do more than merely watch from the crowd at the NXT Vs. TNA event. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from WWE Showdown and TNA Bound for Glory 2025.

  • How Hulk Hogan\’s Funeral Helped D-Von Dudley Bury The Hatchet

D-Von Dudley spent several years in TNA Wrestling under Dixie Carter’s leadership. While there were some issues between the two sides, they became a thing of the past during the funeral of Hulk Hogan.

Speaking on Duke Loves Rasslin, Dudley said the ceremony was bittersweet. While he was grateful to reconnect with many he\’s worked with, he was sad that it took the death of a wrestling icon to put them in touch. For D-Von, the ceremony was his first face-to-face with Carter since his exit from TNA.

\”We had said little things to each other here and there in texts and comments on posts about the kids and stuff. Other than that, we really hadn’t seen each other in a while.\”

Dudley admitted that any hard feelings he once carried toward TNA had faded away. Instead of letting long-standing issues simmer, D-Von meeting Carter again gave him the closure he needed.

\”The hard feelings that I might have had for the company during that time were all washed away, you know? It was the old regime that I had problems letting go of my feelings with.\”

With a fresh mindset, D-Von can look back on his time working under Carter more favorably. Reuniting with her helped D-Von move on from what he felt was an unceremonious exit from TNA over a decade earlier.

\”I was able to finally let go when I saw Dixie, and we talked, we laughed, we joked, and we said, you know, it shouldn’t take things like this to bring us together.\”

D-Von will soon return to TNA Wrestling as he and Bubba will challenge the Hardys for the TNA World Tag Team Titles. And when D-Von Dudley next steps foot in a TNA ring, he will do so without the bitterness of the past.

  • TNA President Addresses Health Concerns Ahead Of D-Von Dudley\’s Retirement Match

TNA President Carlos Silva has commented on the upcoming final showdown between legendary tag teams The Hardy Boyz and Team 3D (The Dudley Boyz), calling the bout \”as big a legacy match as you could put together.\”

Speaking with Jon Alba on Sports Illustrated\’s The Takedown, Silva discussed the significance of having the two iconic teams face off one last time at TNA\’s biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory.

\”I think it\’s just another piece of the way that we put together a great show at Bound For Glory,\” Silva said. \”There\’s going to be a bunch of title matches, as you know, and so the belts will be on the line. But I think that, you know, having the Hardys and the Dudleys together, it\’s as big a legacy match as you could put together.\”

The history between the two teams is legendary, defined by their groundbreaking Tables, Ladder, and TLC matches in WWE at the height of the Attitude Era. This will be their first match against each other in nine years and will serve as the official retirement match for D-Von Dudley.

Health And Safety A Priority For Team 3D

Silva also addressed the health concerns surrounding D-Von, who has dealt with a stroke and spinal surgery in recent years. He assured fans that the company is prioritizing the well-being of the performers.

\”Well, certainly make sure that all the athletes are healthy and feeling good, and not going to do anything if that doesn\’t happen,\” he said. \”But everyone has assured us that that\’s the case. They wanted to do it. We liked the idea, and so it was great.\”

The legendary tag team encounter is set to take place at TNA\’s Bound for Glory on Saturday, October 12, from the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts. The match was made after Bully Ray confronted the new TNA World Tag Team Champions, The Hardy Boyz, at the Slammiversary pay-per-view in July and issued the challenge for one final match. The full interview with TNA President Carlos Silva can be found on Sports Illustrated\’s The Takedown.

  • D-Von Dudley Calls WWE Spot One Of His \’Most Embarrassing Moments\’

WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley has reflected on his legendary career full of broken tables, recalling a specific moment involving Kane that he considers to be one of his most embarrassing.

In a new video posted to his YouTube channel, D-Von discussed some of his most iconic table bumps. He singled out a moment where he was chokeslammed through a table by fellow Hall of Famer, Kane.

“Sometimes you just have to embarrass yourself on your own channel. And this me getting my ass kicked by Kane, is probably that most embarrassing moment, one of the most embarrassing moments,\” Dudley said. \”The man Chokeslammed me through a table, and my leg is shaking like there’s no tomorrow. I was flopping like a little fish. Kane, I loved working with him. I always put people over on my YouTube channel.”

D-Von went on to explain the physical reality of taking that specific bump, rating it a five out of ten and calling it one of the toughest of his career.

“Did it hurt? Yes, it did,\” he stated. \”It did hurt, especially when you have that table on the ground. Even though that black mat is underneath there, that’s still cement, and with the force of your body weight going through that table, the table breaks the fall by that much, and the mat, even smaller.\”

He added, “I’m gonna say that table bump hurt, but not enough to where I was maimed or I couldn’t work the next day. It just put shock waves through my body… Probably the hardest, toughest bump I ever took, especially coming from a seven-foot giant such as Kane.”

D-Von also explained that he had a great career and was always in the ring with \”true professionals that took care of me.\” He made it clear that he refuses to \”bury people\” on his channel and has nothing but respect for the opponents he faced.

  • D-Von Dudley Explains Why He’s Wrestling One Final Match in TNA

D-Von Dudley has opened up about his decision to step back into the ring for one final match in TNA before officially retiring. At TNA Slammiversary, Bully Ray confronted the Hardys to propose the match following Matt and Jeff\’s victory and regaining the TNA World Tag Team Titles.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, D-Von explained that he\’s known he\’s had some left in the tank, all the way back when he and Bully Ray parted ways with WWE close to a decade ago.

“Some of you are probably wondering, why am I doing this? Why am I doing this one more match? In 2016, when we did our departure from the WWE, I still had some left in the tank.”

Whatever D-Von has left in the tank will be used when the Hardys and the Dudleys face off one more time. Not only will this be the final encounter between the two iconic tag teams, but it will be D-Von\’s last match, period.

\”I will say this — it will be my last. What better place than TNA. I’m doing it in front of you—the fans that made us. I’m doing it for my kids. They get a chance to see their dad do something that he loved, and they could say they were there.”

He ended the message with a heartfelt thank-you to the fans and a nod to his iconic catchphrase. For D-Von Dudley, he\’s ready to give every last thing he has for what will be his last match.

“It’s my way of saying thank you… and I think Bubba put it best—that will be the last time you hear it in the ring again. And of course… oh my brother, testify. That will be it.”

D-Von will reunite with Bully Ray for one final match at Bound for Glory, where Team 3D is set to face off against the Hardys in a showdown for the Tag Team Titles. Fans now wait to see how this final chapter unfolds for one of the most decorated tag teams in wrestling history.

  • D-Von Dudley Says Team 3D vs The Hardys Will Be His Last Match

Wrestling legend D-Von Dudley became emotional discussing his surprise return to TNA for their 1000th episode of Impact, revealing he believes he has just one more match left in him – and it would have to be alongside the Hardy Boyz.

The WWE Hall of Famer\’s appearance at TNA\’s milestone event was particularly meaningful given his health struggles following back surgery and a stroke. When he stepped into the ring and looked up, saying \”Thank you,\” it represented far more than just another wrestling moment.

\”It was where I came from, the back surgery, the stroke, and to be able to come back and to be able to do that was just man, it was incredible. And I thank God,\” D-Von explained on Chris Van Vliet\’s Insight. \”You didn\’t think it was possible? No. I didn\’t think anybody would give me another shot to do it.\”

The reunion came together when Bubba Ray called about TNA\’s historic 1000th episode. Initially, D-Von had reservations about performing the duo\’s signature \”What\’s Up\” spot from the top rope.

\”I said, \’I could do it, but I don\’t want to do the what\’s up.\’ When you watch the match, I did it anyway,\” he admitted with a laugh.

Despite his successful return, D-Von is realistic about his future in the ring. When asked how many more matches he might have left, his answer was definitive:

\”I would say one more and that would be it.\”

However, there\’s a specific condition for that potential final match.

\”If I was to do anything in the ring again, it would have to be with Matt and Jeff,\” D-Von stated.

The trio\’s history together during the attitude era\’s legendary TLC matches makes them the only wrestlers D-Von would trust with his body for one final outing.

\”Those are the only two I trust for my body on the line and to go there one more time,\” he explained, noting that while he thinks Jeff Hardy \”is out of his damn mind,\” the bond between the three performers runs deep.

The emotional weight of his TNA return wasn\’t lost on D-Von, who saw his family watching from ringside—including his young daughter witnessing something she never thought she\’d see again.

\”It was just such a rewarding feeling to be able to get back in that ring and to do it again because again, without the grace of God, I wouldn\’t be here.\”

This match will take place at TNA Bound For Glory 2025, when The Hardys battle Team 3-D for one last time.

  • D-Von Dudley Reveals 85-Pound Weight Loss Saved His Wrestling Career

Wrestling legend D-Von Dudley has opened up about his incredible health transformation that not only saved his career but potentially his life, losing over 85 pounds and regaining his ability to walk properly after career-threatening back surgery complications.

The WWE Hall of Famer revealed he had ballooned to nearly 300 pounds following his L4, L5, and S1 spinal fusion surgery, leaving him barely able to walk.

\”I was almost 300 lb. And basically what happened was I had an issue even after the back surgery where everything was tight. I couldn\’t walk barely.

I was walking with a limp like some of the old-timers used to see who never really took care of their bodies and they paid for it in the end,\” D-Von explained during his recent appearance on Chris Van Vliet\’s Insight.

The turning point came when someone suggested he contact Diamond Dallas Page, the former WCW star who has helped numerous wrestlers overcome health challenges through his DDP Yoga program.

\”I called him and I said, \’Dallas, I\’m in trouble.\’ I said, \’My back the back surgery was supposed to make me walk straight, make me do things, and it just it\’s not doing it.\’ And he was like, \’Devon, I\’m going to send you something. I want you to not I\’m going to send you to DDP Yoga.\’\”

The transformation was remarkable and swift. \”DDPY has been one of the greatest things I had ever done. It got to the point where even after the first two to three weeks I was able to walk. The scar tissue in the body had loosened up everything,\” D-Von said, explaining how the yoga helped break down layers of scar tissue that had built up after his surgery.

Beyond the physical therapy, D-Von also made dramatic dietary changes after watching documentaries about food production. He eliminated wheat, dairy products, and fried foods while focusing on organic and grass-fed options. The combination of DDP Yoga and clean eating resulted in his 85-pound weight loss.

The health transformation proved pivotal when Bubba Ray called about reuniting for TNA\’s 1000th episode of Impact.

\”It was where I came from, the back surgery, the stroke, and to be able to come back and to be able to do that was just man, it was incredible. And I thank God… If it wasn\’t for the grace of God giving me the opportunity to do DDPY, I wouldn\’t be there.\”

Now in the best shape he\’s been in years, D-Von operates a successful wrestling school in Winter Park, Florida, where he still takes bumps with students. His transformation serves as inspiration for anyone facing similar health challenges, proving that with the right approach and dedication, it\’s possible to reclaim your physical well-being even after serious setbacks.

  • Bully Ray Explains Why D-Von Dudley Missed TNA Slammiversary

Following his surprise solo appearance at last night\’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view, Bully Ray has explained why his longtime tag team partner, D-Von Dudley, was not by his side. In a new interview, Bully confirmed D-Von\’s absence was due to a family matter and that he will be at Bound for Glory.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray addressed the fan questions surrounding D-Von\’s absence. He made it clear that it was not due to any creative or backstage issues, but rather a personal commitment that D-Von could not miss.

“I wish my brother was by my side last night, but he had a very important family matter that he just couldn’t get out of,” Bully said. “We talked, and we both felt that last night was just too important to miss—like catching lightning in a bottle. We wanted to make a big surprise happen, and D-Von will definitely be there at Bound for Glory in Boston.”

During his appearance at Slammiversary, Bully Ray confronted The Hardy Boyz and issued a challenge for one final match between the two legendary tag teams. The match is now set to take place at TNA\’s biggest show of the year, Bound for Glory, on October 12. Bully Ray was adamant that his partner would be there, stating, \”D-Von will be at Bound for Glory, trust me.\”

The challenge from Team 3D comes after a chaotic night for the TNA World Tag Team Championship. At Slammiversary, The Hardy Boyz competed in a four-way ladder match for the titles, which was ultimately won by the team of Fir$t Cla$$ (AJ Francis & KC Navarro). Team 3D will now be the first challengers for the new champions at Bound for Glory.

  • D-Von Dudley Credits DDP Yoga For Dramatic Weight Loss

D-Von Dudley is feeling better than ever thanks to the work of DDP Yoga. In a moment with \’Diamond\’ Dallas Page at WrestleCon, D-Von shared that he\’s lost 85lbs and that he \”looks and feels great.\” D-Von added that his body feels \”phenomenal\” and wants everyone to know the wonders of Page\’s program.

\”DDP Yoga was the best thing that ever happened to me. I go on Busted Open [Radio,] I go on my podcast and preach about it.\”

Fans can add D-Von Dudley to the growing list of wrestling legends helped by Page and DDP Yoga. Page has worked closely with several troubled indivudals, including Jake \’The Snake\’ Roberts, the late Scott Hall and Lex Luger, the latter of whom recently became a WWE Hall of Famer. Wrestling stars who have felt the effects of DDP Yoga include Mick Foley, Chris Jericho, and Shawn Michaels.

DDP\’s success in the wrestling world has been matched by his giving nature as the WCW icon continues to help others to this day. Now, D-Von can look forward to many more years of healthy living thanks to Page and his efforts.

  • Darth Vince: Ex-WWE Boss Was Like Star Wars Villain, Claims Hall of Famer

Vince McMahon was able to strike fear in WWE employees like the dreaded Star Wars villain Darth Vader, according to D-Von Dudley. Speaking to The Daily Star, D-Von gave his unique explanation of his former boss.

\”Vince McMahon had a Darth Vader type of aura about him where people feared him, as opposed to a charismatic personality. It was as soon as he walked into that room, it was like Darth Vader.”

McMahon may not have been able to use the force or swing a lightsaber, but \”petrified\” D-Von the first time they came face-to-face. Though he described McMahon as a \”very shrewd businessman,\” D-Von added that McMahon would go all-in on ideas, even bad ones.

\”Even if he had an inkling that he was wrong, he still wanted what he wanted when he wanted it. And that was just the way Vince was and still is, I bet.\”

McMahon stepped down from WWE for the second time in early 2024 over the claims made in Janel Grant\’s lawsuit. McMahon has denied all accusations of misconduct and has said their relationship was entirely consensual. McMahon reportedly has plans for a new entertainment company, leaving fans to speculate whether a return to promoting wrestling could come.

D-Von is hardly the first WWE name to speak of McMahon\’s imposing presence behind the scenes. As questions remain as to what future, if any, McMahon will have in wrestling, his complicated legacy continues to be the subject of discussion and debate among fans and those who knew McMahon up close.

  • D-Von Dudley Explains How Paul Heyman’s Solo Leadership Style Led to ECW’s Downfall

D-Von Dudley believes Paul Heyman\’s habit of doing everything on his own was one of the reasons for the downfall of the original ECW.

The Attitude Era star who worked extensively with both Vince McMahon and Heyman during his career talked about the difference between the two in a video on his new YouTube channel.

While discussing the things he didn\’t like about both the bosses, D-Von noted that Paul did not like asking for help even when he knew that he needed it:

\”Paul had so much responsibility on his hands, he trusted nobody. Even though he knew he needed help, he was still going to carry the load all by himself. He didn\’t care. I think that\’s what burned him out.

Probably one of the things that I feel that probably closed the doors of ECW. You got to have that help. You got to be able to put your pride aside and go \’Hey I need help. Can you help do this? Can you help do that?\’\”

It Was My Home: D-Von Dudley

According to the wrestling veteran, this is one of the reason for the failures of the original ECW as Heyman burnt himself up while trying to keep the brand going:

\”When you\’re trying to live up to the hype that ECW created, it\’s hard to keep doing it on a regular basis when you don\’t have any help. So that was one of the things I wish Paul could have done because maybe the company would have been around, who knows.

But that\’s one of the things that I feel that Paul basically I didn\’t like about it. I wanted to see ECW survive because it was my home. It was my first home and it was sad to me when it was gone.\”

Paul Heyman took over the creative of ECW in 1993. He became the sole owner of the company in 1995 and started it off on the path that changed the wrestling world. The promotion folded due to financial difficulties in 2001, however, as Heyman failed to secure a new TV deal for it before WWE bought it in 2003.

  • D-Von Dudley: I Faced Racism As Soon As I Joined WWE

D-Von Dudley faced racism the moment he joined WWE in 1999, the Hall of Famer revealed this week. Speaking on Maven\’s YouTube channel, D-Von recounted experiencing discrimination due to his skin color from someone fans would \”absolutely\” recognize.

    \”They told Bubba \’You\’re a good guy, I like you a lot. But D-Von, I don\’t know… He\’s black.\’ I remember balling up my fists and Bubba saw it and grabbed me.\”

Understandably enraged by these comments, D-Von said he was \”p*ssed\” but chose not to retaliate, knowing that an altercation could jeopardize the Dudleys\’ future in WWE. Reflecting on the incident, he admitted, \”Had I reacted, we probably wouldn\’t be sitting here talking now.\”

D-Von also revealed that racism wasn’t limited to the roster; he encountered discrimination from \”certain people in the office\” in senior positions. However, he clarified that Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and Michael Hayes were not among those who treated him unfairly because of his race.

D-Von\’s comments bring new light to WWE\’s often problematic nature with race, as several angles over the years have been accused of being racist. Nevertheless, these horrific comments at D-Von did not stop him from being one of the all-time greatest tag-team wrestlers of all time and a Hall of Famer in both WWE and TNA Wrestling.

  • D-Von Dudley Not Saying \’Never\’ To One More Match

WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley recently addressed the possibility of stepping foot inside the squared circle for one more match.

During an appearance on The Wrestling Life podcast, D-Von Dudley revealed whether he wanted to make an in-ring return. The ECW legend said that fans continue to demand \’one more match\’ from him when he does one match. He highlighted the fact that the fans would want him to compete for a long time.

However, D-Von Dudley said that he is not ruling out the idea of returning but didn’t want to say “never.” He also dropped hints about some future opportunities in the United States or abroad in Japan. He said:

“Here’s what I’m gonna tell you: every time you do one match, you say ‘one more match,’ and then the fans are going ‘one more match’ after that. Listen, they’re not gonna stop until you’re in the grave. You know, but I don’t know, I’m not gonna say never. There are some talks about things happening, whether it’s here in the states or even abroad in Japan. So, nothing, it’s just talks, that’s it. Nothing is being set in stone or anything like that. I’m saying that there were rumblings and talks about it.”

D-Von Dudley\’s return could take place soon but no plans have been locked in yet. He had competed at the Impact 1000 show last year and his last match took place at IWC Superstar Showdown V back in April this year.

D-Von Dudley also recently made an appearance on NXT 2300 which was held on November 6th at the famous 2300 Arena and the night featured return of several ECW originals. He reunited with Dudley Boyz teammate Bubba Ray Dudley, who had teamed up with Trick Williams to face Ridge Holland and “All Ego” Ethan Page. Following the match, Ridge and Ethan attacked Trick, but Bubba helped fight them off. The duo then hit some classic Dudley Boyz moves with D-Von Dudley returning with a table.
