WWE appears to have spoiled CM Punk’s return date by advertising him on its own website for the July 6, 2026 episode of Monday Night Raw at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, just outside Punk’s hometown of Chicago.
The listing on WWE.com seemingly confirms that Punk is heading to Raw rather than SmackDown, despite earlier reporting that pointed to a SmackDown move.
The development reads as Punk getting his way. Recent reports indicated he was pushing hard for the Chicago Raw date, and WWE advertising him there now lines up with that backstage lobbying.
Punk has been on a break since the post-WrestleMania 42 Raw, where a championship showdown with Cody Rhodes was teased. Before that, he lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. He was eventually removed from WWE European Tour as well.
