  • Chad Gable Advised To Prepare WWE Exit

Chad Gable Advised To Prepare WWE Exit

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett believes Chad Gable needs to be prepared to leave WWE, predicting the company won’t reward him with a major push despite his recent success at AAA Noche de los Grandes.

Gable showcased a spectacular performance at AAA Noche de los Grandes, where he was unmasked following a mask vs. mask match against El Grande Americano. The performance drew widespread praise, including from JBL, who called Gable the best wrestler in the world.

Jeff Jarrett Wants Chad Gable To Leave WWE

Jarrett made the comments on his My World podcast, praising Gable’s performance in his match against El Grande Americano in Monterrey while expressing doubt that WWE management would follow it up with a meaningful push.

“I just don’t see the WWE [pushing him], because he worked under the Vince regime. And obviously now he’s worked under Triple H regime, [but] they’re not all of a sudden magically going to go ‘Oh yeah, he’s our guy,’” Jarrett said.

Jarrett Urges Gable to Leverage His Contract Situation

Gable has approximately one year remaining on his WWE contract, and Jarrett believes that window is something Gable should use to his advantage. He pointed to New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s new ownership as one potential avenue worth exploring.

“I would absolutely leverage [the contract situation] with New Japan having new owners [etc]…I just think he [Gable] needs to keep doing what he’s doing, but be ready to leave. I don’t see TKO coming to him and saying, ‘Hey man, you performed great in Monterrey, we’re going to give you a bump [in pay].’ I just don’t see that. I think he could monetize his talent more,” Jarrett said.

  • Chad Gable Unmasked at AAA Noche de los Grandes After Mask Loss

Chad Gable Unmasked at AAA Noche de los Grandes After Mask Loss

Chad Gable is the “Original” El Grande Americano. The longtime WWE star removed his mask Saturday night at AAA Noche de los Grandes in Monterrey, revealing his identity to a frenzied Arena Monterrey crowd after losing the mask vs. mask main event to Ludwig Kaiser’s El Grande Americano.

The result closes out one of 2026’s hottest wrestling angles, a rivalry that started as a maligned WWE gag in 2025 and grew into a genuine drawing feud spanning two promotions.

The match ran over 30 minutes and leaned hard on callbacks from the year-long story. Blind comedian Alexis Arroyo attacked the Original with his cane, and Pimpinela Escarlata returned to get payback for an earlier assault.

Kaiser’s storyline girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte, appeared in the crowd holding a ticket, since the Original had only agreed to the stipulation on the condition that she be fired from AAA. A bloodied Gable battered Kaiser’s knee with a steel chair and went for an ankle lock late before a running headbutt finished him.

Then came the moment. Gable took the microphone and admitted he couldn’t overcome the Mexican spirit, conceding Kaiser was the only true El Grande Americano. He spoke about putting on the mask to master lucha libre, referenced his Olympic background and 13-year career, and brought his family into the ring.

“Me llamo Chad Gable,” he told the crowd as he unmasked.

Fans chanted “thank you, Gable” as he handed his bloody mask to Kaiser and left the arena. He promised to return to AAA someday. The segment effectively turned Gable babyface on his way out.

  • WWE Rumors: EVIL Signing, Chad Gable Return, Royal Rumble News

The latest WWE rumors have the wrestling world buzzing. With Royal Rumble 2026 just days away and Saturday Night\’s Main Event headed to Montreal this weekend, we filter out the noise and catch you up to speed in this WWE rumors roundup for January 22, 2026.

EVIL Expected to Leave NJPW for WWE

One of the biggest WWE rumors today involves former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion EVIL, who has reportedly given his notice to New Japan Pro Wrestling. Multiple sources indicate WWE is his likely destination.

Bryan Alvarez reported on Wrestling Observer Live that \”EVIL might be on his way out of New Japan, and it is strongly rumored that he will end up in WWE.\”

EVIL, a former IWGP Heavyweight Champion, Intercontinental Champion, and Tag Team Champion, has been a staple of NJPW\’s House of Torture faction. His potential move to WWE would mark another significant international acquisition for the company following its recent partnership with AAA.

El Hijo Del Vikingo Under Direct WWE Contract

According to PWInsider Elite, El Hijo Del Vikingo holds a unique contract situation compared to the rest of the AAA roster.

While most AAA wrestlers remain signed to AAA following WWE\’s acquisition, Vikingo is reportedly under a direct WWE contract. This suggests WWE views the high-flying luchador as a priority talent with potential for their main programming.

Chad Gable Return Pitched for January 26 Raw

Chad Gable may be inching closer to his return to WWE television. There\’s a rumor that internal discussions have included pitches for Gable to make his comeback on the January 26 episode of WWE Raw in Toronto.

Gable has been absent from WWE programming, and with Raw heading to Canada, the timing would make sense for his return. However, nothing has been officially confirmed.

    Chris Jericho SmackDown/SNME Appearance Debunked

With WWE bringing both SmackDown and Saturday Night\’s Main Event to Montreal this weekend, speculation had ramped up about a potential Chris Jericho appearance. The Canadian legend has been the subject of WWE return rumors for months.

However, reports indicate that Jericho will not be appearing at either show this weekend, putting those specific rumors to rest—at least for now.

Injured Star Favorite to Win Royal Rumble

Betting odds have revealed an interesting WWE rumor: an injured star is the favorite to win the Women\’s Royal Rumble match. While not officially named, speculation points to Charlotte Flair.

The Royal Rumble has historically been a prime spot for surprise returns, and Flair making her comeback in Riyadh would certainly generate one of the biggest reactions of the night.

Mystery Caller to Adam Pearce Storyline

On this week\’s Raw, Adam Pearce received a mysterious phone call that left Paul Heyman pleased. The Wiseman teased that Pearce was speaking with \”someone powerful\” that even top WWE officials would not want to hear from.

Logan Paul, speaking on his vlog, suggested it must be \”The Big Man\”—though he clarified it wasn\’t Triple H. Fan speculation and WWE rumors have run wild, with theories ranging from a returning legend to a new authority figure being introduced.

Seth Rollins WrestleMania 42 Status Uncertain

Seth Rollins provided an update on his recovery from shoulder surgery, with WWE rumors swirling about his WrestleMania timeline.

\”I hope to be cleared by the time WrestleMania rolls around,\” Rollins told Men\’s Health, while describing his current rehab process as \”awful\” and \”way worse\” than previous knee injuries.

With The Vision storyline continuing in his absence, speculation has grown about who might join Rollins in a potential faction upon his return to combat the group.

    Celebrity Royal Rumble Betting Odds

Betting sites have released odds on potential celebrity appearances at the Royal Rumble in Riyadh, adding fuel to WWE rumors about surprise entrants:

    • IShowSpeed: 30.77% implied chance of appearing
    • Jake Paul: Also listed among possibilities

WWE has a history of including surprise celebrity entrants in Royal Rumble matches, and with the event taking place in Saudi Arabia, the company may look to maximize star power.

    Additional WWE Rumors and Notes

    • Finn Balor character change: Sam Roberts pitched a major character shift for Balor after crowds cheered him over CM Punk during their Belfast title match
    • Penta teases surprise with George Kittle: The WWE star hinted at a \”big surprise\” involving the NFL tight end, calling it \”very special\”

  • Popular WWE Star Expected Back For Royal Rumble 2026

A much-anticipated WWE return might be happening soon.

WWE star Chad Gable has been out of action since June this year due to a shoulder injury. His last match was a successful Speed Title defence against Berto, which aired on X.

Now Fightful Select is reporting that the former Olympian has been at Performance Center recently, training for an imminent return to TV.

While the exact date for his comeback is not known, the site notes that the company is planning for the former champion to be back by the Royal Rumble on January 31, or even before that.

Gable had been wrestling as himself and El Grande Americano at the same time before his unfortunate injury. The success of the Americano character had led to the former Alpha Academy leader getting his first singles WrestleMania match as well as his first singles title in WWE.

Ludwig Kaiser took over the gimmick in Chad Gable\’s absence from TV. He also continued Americano\’s reign with the WWE Speed title until November, when Kaiser lost the belt to Jasper Troy on NXT.

The former Imperium member has only added to the popularity of the Americano persona. So we\’ll have to see how the company takes the story forward once Gable is back on TV.

  • Chad Gable Breaks Character, Confirms WrestleMania Match as El Grande Americano

Chad Gable made a surprising script-breaking comment during a recent appearance at a Minnesota Twins baseball game, publicly acknowledging his masked performance at WrestleMania 41.

Speaking candidly to Twins TV, Gable stated he \”wrestled his first singles match at WrestleMania back in April,\” directly confirming what WWE programming has kept separate – that he performed as the masked El Grande Americano at the premium live event.

This admission breaks kayfabe, as Gable\’s on-screen character has consistently denied any connection to El Grande Americano. The masked persona appeared at WrestleMania 41 on April 19-20, 2025, marking a significant moment in Gable\’s transition from tag team specialist to singles competitor.

The Raw superstar has been recovering from rotator cuff surgery following an active period that included winning the WWE Speed Championship as El Grande Americano against Dragon Lee on June 11, and challenging for the AAA Mega Championship against Nic Nemeth on June 15. He also competed in the Men\’s Money in the Bank ladder match on July 6.

“I’m looking at the silver lining here. I got a little injury to my rotator cuff, but what it did do was buy me some time off the road to be home with my family and do stuff like this. Come to a baseball game on a Sunday, which I never get to do. So, find the bright side, right?”

Gable\’s baseball game appearance comes during his injury recovery period, with the wrestler previously indicating optimism about a quicker-than-expected return to WWE programming.

  • El Grande Americano \’Returns\’ On WWE Raw

The July 7, edition of WWE Monday Night Raw saw El Grande Americano return to the ring, though fans may have noticed something different about the luchador. During the show\’s second hour, Anericano defeated Dragon Lee.

Throughout the match, Michael Cole questioned if the man in the El Grande Americano mask was the same man fans have been watching since the character\’s debut earlier this year. While Cole pointed out that Americano no longer has tattoos, Corey Graves argued that the luchador had had them removed that morning. Cole also noted how small Americano\’s mask looked on him, and Graves said he wore it snugly so it didn\’t slip off mid-match.

It has been reported that El Grande Americano is being portrayed by Ludwig Kaiser, who is filling in for the injured Chad Gable. The Olympian has been portraying the character since its introduction in February, but recently underwent surgery. While Gable is keeping himself active out of the ring, there\’s no word on when fans can expect him back as El Grande Americano.

Americano 2 got the win by using the character\’s patented steel plate in the mask. It remains to be seen whether the two Americano\’s ever come face to face.

  • Chad Gable Reveals Creative Project Amid WWE Injury

Chad Gable may be hurt, but he isn’t letting a serious shoulder injury sideline his ceative spark. On July 4, the former Tag Team Champion took to Instagram to announce his creative.

“Rekindling my love for filmmaking/editing and working on a little personal project to share with all of you. I’ll drop more details soon, but as for today, Happy 4th of July! Enjoy your friends, family, and freedom!”

On July 6, Gable posted a teaser for The Renewal—a documentary project chronicling his injury, surgery, and ongoing recovery. Not only does Gable want fans to see his finished project, but also the behind the scenes making of The Renewal.

Gable\’s injury has seen him undergo surgery and it remains unclear when fans can expect him back. Nevertheless, Gable is turning adversity into opportunity by using this setback to continue to tell stories to fans.

  • Chad Gable Successfully Undergoes Surgery, Promises Quick Return

WWE Superstar Chad Gable has successfully undergone surgery and shared an optimistic update with fans on social media, indicating his recovery is already underway.

In a message posted to his social media accounts, Gable appeared in good spirits following the procedure. \”I made it,\” the former WWE Tag Team Champion told his followers, providing immediate reassurance about the surgery\’s success.

True to his character, Gable maintained his sense of humor even during recovery. He noted with amusement that the movie Rambo was playing in the background during his post-surgery video, adding a lighthearted touch to what could have been a concerning update for fans. Gable made a bold promise about his comeback timeline.

\”I\’ll be back quicker than you can say GRACIAS!\” – Chad Gable

This assurance suggests that whatever procedure Gable underwent was not expected to sideline him for an extended period, which will come as welcome news to WWE creative teams and fans alike.

    Impact on WWE Programming

Gable has been a consistent presence in WWE programming, known for his technical wrestling ability and recent character development. His quick recovery timeline indicates minimal disruption to ongoing storylines and future booking plans.

The wrestling community has responded positively to Gable\’s update, with fans expressing support for his recovery and anticipation for his return to the ring.

  • Chad Gable Reportedly Set To Undergo Surgery

WWE Raw star Chad Gable has been a breakout star over the last few years, but it appears he will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future. Gable was written off television on this past week’s episode of Raw when Penta attacked him, and it’s now been confirmed the angle was done to cover for a legitimate injury.

According to a report from PWInsider, the word making the rounds among talent is that Chad Gable is slated to undergo surgery in early July. At this time, the specific nature of the injury remains unknown, and there is no timetable for his return to the ring.

Unfortunately, the injury is timed, as Gable has been a consistent and entertaining presence on Monday nights with his heel “coach” persona for the Alpha Academy. His absence will likely force WWE to adjust creative plans for his faction and the storylines he was involved in.

Gable joins a growing list of sidelined WWE talent, which includes Kevin Owens, Rey Mysterio, and Liv Morgan, who are all dealing with significant injuries. We wish Chad Gable a full and speedy recovery.

  • Chad Gable Won\’t Hide His Nipples Amid Americano Speculation

At WWE Money in the Bank, the commentary team once again discussed whether Chad Gable and El Grande Americano, with talk turning to the pair’s respective nipples. While Michael Cole argued that Gable and Americano have identical nipples, this claim was met with bewilderment by Pat McAfee and Wade Barrett.

On Raw Recap, Gable responded to the unusual on-air commentary and made it clear he doesn’t want the topic brought up again.

“Well, I heard there was an extensive conversation about my nipples on that pay-per-view broadcast, so let’s put an end to any Chad Gable nipple talk right now.”

Gable has always rejected the notion that he and Americano are one and the same. In the interview, Gable bawked at the idea that nipples will become key identifiers like fingerprints.

“I don’t try to hide them—there’s nothing to hide. Nipples look alike, so what are you gonna tell me, you’re gonna try to match someone’s nipples? Are you crazy? What are we doing here?”

Despite the bizarre debate, Gable has had a standout week including headlining WWE x AAA Worlds Collide and competing on Raw. In terms of his nipples, Gable won’t hide what he has, no matter what Michael Cole has to say.

  • Chad Gable On Worlds Collide: \”It Was Probably The Most Special Day Of My Career\”

Chad Gable had a whirlwind weekend, and he\’s calling it the most special of his entire career. He wrestled in three high-profile matches over three days, including headlining the historic WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event.

On the official Raw Recap podcast, Gable reflected on the pressure of main-eventing the first major collaboration-type event between the two companies against AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo.

“It was probably the most special day of my entire career,\” Gable said. \”The AAA thing… was an opportunity and pressure like I’ve never felt because it’s this new relationship that we’ve started… that falls on my shoulders as being part of the first main event. You better deliver.\”

Later that same night, Gable competed as his masked alter-ego, El Grande Americano, in the Money in the Bank ladder match. He then went on to face AJ Styles on Raw just two days later.

He believes the Worlds Collide event was a massive success that created a huge buzz for the new partnership. It also helped renew the passion of Corey Graves, who called the show with Konnan:

  • Double Duty Drama: Stars Wrestling Twice on June 7th

Tomorrow presents an unprecedented challenge for select WWE superstars. The marathon Saturday features Worlds Collide at 3 PM followed by Money in the Bank at 7 PM. For Chad Gable and Stephanie Vaquer, this means wrestling twice in four hours.

    The Physical and Mental Gauntlet

Wrestling twice in one day demands extraordinary conditioning. The physical toll extends beyond typical match fatigue. Recovery time becomes compressed, injury risk multiplies, and performance quality faces inevitable scrutiny. Mental focus presents equal challenges as performers must switch between different character presentations and storylines while maintaining peak concentration.

The logistics alone create complexity. Travel between the Kia Forum and Intuit Dome, costume changes, and character transitions all occur under time pressure. Medical staff faces increased responsibility ensuring wrestler safety between appearances.

    Chad Gable\’s Career-Defining Day

Gable confronts the ultimate double challenge. At 3 PM, he faces El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship as Chad Gable. Four hours later, he climbs a ladder as El Grande Americano in the Men\’s Money in the Bank match.

Can Gable maintain peak performance in a dangerous ladder match after a championship bout? The narrative genius lies in how WWE uses this exhaustion as a plot device—does fatigue expose his masked identity or fuel desperate determination?

Success in both matches would create an unprecedented achievement.

    Stephanie Vaquer\’s Breakout Opportunity

Vaquer\’s double duty carries different stakes. Her 3 PM tag team match with Lola Vice against Dalys and Chik Tormenta serves as a showcase for WWE\’s women\’s division integration with AAA. The 7 PM Women\’s Money in the Bank ladder match could launch her main roster career into overdrive.

Recent call-up status adds pressure. Vaquer must prove she belongs on WWE\’s biggest stages while managing the physical demands of two matches. Her Worlds Collide performance could generate momentum or drain energy needed for the ladder match\’s chaos.

The women\’s Money in the Bank maintains a perfect success rate—every winner has successfully cashed in their contract. Vaquer entering this match after earlier competition creates an intriguing variable in this historic pattern.

    Historical Precedent

Double duty performances carry rich wrestling history. WrestleMania events featured multiple-match performers like Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins, who demonstrated that exhaustion can enhance storytelling. Their successes proved that modern athletes can handle expanded workloads when properly motivated.

Iron man performances from earlier eras provide context. Wrestlers like Ric Flair and Harley Race routinely worked multiple matches during territory days. Today\’s controlled environment and medical support theoretically make double duty safer, though the athletic demands have intensified.

  • Clue About El Grande Americano\’s Identity Spotted On WWE Raw

El Grande Americano made his WWE \’debut\’ earlier this year but there has been questions about the man behind the mask. Some have accused Americano of being Chad Gable, a claim that has grown support following the June 2, 2025, episode of WWE Raw.

During the show\’s main event, Americano earned a controversial win over CM Punk and AJ Styles, earning the final spot in the Men\’s Money in the Bank ladder match. Eagle eyed fans will have spotted some choice footwear Americano wore during the match; boots emblazoned with the initials CG.

Gable has routinely denied being El Grande Americano, and even expressed his anger that Americano had a WrestleMania match while he didn\’t. Now, Americano will compete in the Men\’s Money in the Bank ladder match, a bout that could put him in the World Title picture.

As for Gable, he lost his Money in the Bank qualifier, but he may still be noticeably busy on June 7, according to some members of the WWE Universe.

  • Chad Gable Joins 2026 Special Olympics USA Games Promotion in Minneapolis

The Special Olympic Games in 2026 will take place in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the home of WWE Raw Superstar Chad Gable. Taking to X, Gable shared his involvement with next year\’s games, as he informed some athletes that they\’ll be representing Team Minnesota at the Special Olympics\’ USA Games next year. Not only did Gable break the exciting news, but he allowed the athletes to visit his home gym.

In March 2024, Gable spoke to Fightful about the Special Olympics and shared his excitement for the 2026 games. At the time, Gavle confirmed that he had specifically requested to be part of the promotion for the games, and had been told \”I will be a huge part of that.\”

The partnership between WWE and Special Olympics is a longstanding and impactful collaboration that began in 1995 and has grown. For the 2014 USA Games, WWE participated in the opening ceremony, and The Big Show engaged with the athletes. The former WWE Champion also served as a goodwill ambassador at the World Games in 2015, and there have been several examples of partnership in the years since.

  • WWE Spoils Upcoming AAA Title Match During Raw

WWE has acquired AAA, as first announced during WrestleMania week, in an exciting move that has left fans eager to see what\’s to come. Now though, WWE has spoiled a huge title match set to take place in the Lucha Libre promotion.

During the May 26, edition of WWE Raw, it was said that Vikingo will be facing Chad Gable at Worlds End for the AAA Mega Championship. A graphic confirmed that this will be a title match, giving Gable the opportunity to win the historic piece of gold.

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/05/\"Vikingo,

There\’s just one problem. The current champion is Alberto El Patron, who has held the AAA Mega Championship for much of 2025. El Patron is scheduled to defend his title against Vikingo at an AAA taping on May 31, one week before Worlds Collide. Many have taken this graphic as a spoiler that Vikingo will win the title from the controversial ex-Superstar.

Vikingo is the longest reigning Mega Champion, holding the title for 833 days. Now, all signs point to him holding the gold again, with WWE already highlighting his next title reign before it\’s happened.

  • El Hijo del Vikingo Vs. Chad Gable Set for Worlds Collide

On June 7, WWE and AAA will host its Worlds Collide event, bringing together two staples of professional wrestling under one roof. Now, it has been confirmed for El Hijo del Vikingo, who will take on Chad Gable. Their match was confirmed at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event on May 25.

Gable\’s inclusion in Worlds Collide is noteworthy given his issues with luchadors and highflyers, including Penta, Rey Mysterio, Rey Fenix, and others. Now, the American Made star will hope to prove his superiority over lucha libre when he battles one of the most decorated luchadors in recent memory.

The WWExAAA Worlds Collide card so far is as follows:

    • Chad Gable (WWE) Vs. El Hijo del Vikingo (AAA)
    • Legado Del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Berto, and Angel) (WWE) Vs. El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., Psycho Clown, and Pagano Jr. (AAA)

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest from Worlds Collide and the latest on AAA as part of this new era under WWE\’s ownership.

  • Chad Gable Reacts To WrestleMania 41 Snub: \’I Got Robbed\’

    Chad Gable feels robbed.

The former Olympian has been with WWE for over a decade. While he has wrestled in a couple of tag team matches at WrestleMania, the WWE star is yet to make his singles debut at the Show of Shows.

2025 could have been the year of Gable but he was snubbed again. Despite American Made\’s ongoing feud with Rey Mysterio and LWO, it was the newcomer El Grande Americano who got a singles match against the Master of 619 at the PPV, instead of the former NXT star.

Chad Gable reacted to meeting disappointment once again in a new Instagram video of Ropebreaks. The non-masked star, said that he was robbed of the opportunity:

\”I got robbed again, man. This year, by this new guy, comes out of nowhere. Two matches and he\’s on WrestleMania. Can you imagine how I feel? Twelve years in, thirteen years in. I wish him the best of luck, I like that guy,\”

Rey Mysterio had to pull out of the WrestleMania match against El Grande Americano after getting injured on SmackDown this past Friday. The WWE Hall of Famer was replaced by the company\’s newest signing Rey Fenix in the match.

Unfortunately for Fenix, it was El Grande who picked up the victory at the show. What the future holds for Chad Gable is unknown but maybe he should consider feuding with Americano to get on the Mania card next year.

  • Top WWE Superstars Without a Match at WrestleMania 41

WWE\’s biggest show of the year is just days away, and several top stars are absent from the card. WWE has announced a few matches over the past couple days, and the card is not finalized yet, but here are the 9 top stars currently left off the show:

Randy Orton was originally scheduled to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 41, but those plans changed when Owens announced he needed neck surgery. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis informed Orton that he wouldn\’t have a match at WrestleMania, which prompted Orton to deliver an RKO to Aldis. On this week’s SmackDown, Orton told Aldis he’ll be at WrestleMania, he’s bringing his gear and he’s looking for a fight.

Chelsea Green is surprisingly absent despite being the first-ever WWE Women\’s United States Champion. Green has been on the rise since returning to WWE in 2023 and has gained significant fan support. Despite her championship status and growing popularity, she doesn\’t have a spot at WrestleMania 41.

Sami Zayn has been off WWE television since Elimination Chamber due to a storyline attack from Kevin Owens. With Owens now out with a legitimate injury, Zayn almost certainly won\’t be included in any match, leaving him with limited options for WrestleMania 41.

Solo Sikoa had his most successful year on the main roster in 2024, creating the new Bloodline and main-eventing multiple Premium Live Events. However, he has taken a backseat since his loss to Roman Reigns on Raw\’s debut episode on Netflix. Sikoa mixed it up with Randy Orton on SmackDown, and may be a late selection as the Viper’s opponent.

Sheamus has proven himself to be one of WWE\’s most reliable workers and fan favorites. He has been chasing the Intercontinental Championship since 2022, but WWE opted for Bron Breakker to defend his title against others instead.

Alexa Bliss made a groundbreaking return at this year\’s Royal Rumble to one of the biggest reactions of all time. WWE planted seeds for her to join The Wyatt Six, but her sudden disappearance after Elimination Chamber has left her without a match.

Carmelo Hayes, despite being SmackDown\’s first-round draft pick last year and a former NXT Champion, doesn\’t have a match at WrestleMania 41. His expectations haven\’t aligned with reality despite proving himself in the ring, including a recent match with Randy Orton.

Nia Jax had a fantastic year but appears to be off the WrestleMania 41 card. After holding her title for 153 days, she lost it when Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank contract. Since then, Jax has hardly been on weekly television.

Chad Gable announced his quest to discover the ways of Lucha Libre after losing to Penta on Raw in mid-January but has not done anything significant since. He does not have a WrestleMania match announced or even planned. El Grande Americano is booked, but not Gable? Seriously? Come on!

WrestleMania 41 takes place Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from Las Vegas.

  • WWE Great Wants \’Justice For Chad\’ After Gable\’s WrestleMania Snub

WrestleMania 41 is mere days away but not every Superstar will be competing as part of the two-night supershow. On X, WWE Hall of Famer John \’Bradshaw\’ Layfield took issue that Chad Gable will not be a part of the upcoming Las Vegas spectacle. JBL, who\’s on-screen character often flirted with anti-immigration sentiment, argued that having El Grande Americano on the card instead of Gable was the wrong choice before demanding \’Justice for Chad.\’

While Gable will be \’missing\’ from WrestleMania, El Grande Americano will battle Rey Mysterio during the event\’s first night. Mysterio has claimed that WWE\’s new masked sensation is actually Gable in disguise, and that the \’character\’ is a mockery of the rich history of lucha libre wrestling. Mysterio is no stranger to WrestleMania, having made his debut at WrestleMania 19 in 2003 and competed most recently at last year\’s event.

WrestleMania 41 will be a huge event, the culmination of a stacked week in Las Vegas of WWE and non-WWE shows. But for Chad Gable, unless something changes soon, he\’ll have to sit back and watch Mysterio and Americano tear the house down from the sidelines.

  • Matt Riddle Says Chad Gable Could Dominate in UFC

Matt Riddle might currently hold the MLW World Championship, but his thoughts remain closely tied to mixed martial arts and its connection to professional wrestling.

In a recent conversation with Sportskeeda, Riddle was asked which pro wrestler he believes could make a successful jump to MMA. He quickly ruled out CM Punk, referencing the former WWE star’s unsuccessful stint in the UFC.

“Well, not CM Punk, no disrespect, but not him,” Riddle said. “He already did it. It wasn’t good.”

Turning to current WWE talent, Riddle named Chad Gable as a standout with real MMA potential.

“I think somebody that would be really good if he worked on Jiu-Jitsu would be somebody like Chad Gable. He’s a high-level wrestler.

If he gets a couple of jits guys, a couple strikers, he will smash them and wipe the mat with them.”

Beyond Gable, Riddle also pointed to Otis and Angelo Dawkins as other WWE performers who could find success in the world of mixed martial arts.

  • Chad Gable Addresses American Made Luchador Mystery on WWE Raw

On the March 17, edition of WWE Raw, the American Made luchador once again made an appearance, attacking Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee. During a WWE Monday Night Raw Digital Exclusive, Chad Gable questioned American Made about this \’mystery man\’ and promised his pupils that he will take action.

\”Did they catch him? Tell me they caught that guy. This is two weeks in a row. No? I’m going to do something about this.\”

Gable once again played up that he and the mystery man are not the same indiviual despite what some may think. During Monday Night Raw, Michael Cole insisted that Gable is the one under the mask though Corey Graves denied the charge. While Gable did appear during Raw, he and the masked luchador were not seen on screen at the same time.

Gable had taken a break from WWE screen in early 2025 so he could learn the art of lucha libre wrestling. It remains to be seen who this mystery man is and whether he will be unmasked, but for now, Gable remains adamant that he has no idea who\’s been helping his faction.

  • Identity of the Mysterious Luchador Who Appeared on WWE Raw

Last night\’s WWE Raw from Madison Square Garden featured the surprise debut of a masked luchador, who inserted himself into the Tornado Tag Team Match between The New Day and the duo of Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee.

The mystery man attacked Dragon Lee before turning his attention to Mysterio, causing chaos in the match’s closing moments.

Dressed in an “American Made” mask, the attacker shouted “Gracias!”—eerily similar to Chad Gable’s signature “Thank you!” catchphrase.

Backstage, Cathy Kelley confronted Gable about the incident, but he denied any involvement, even as security escorted another masked individual out of the building, seemingly giving Gable an alibi.

So, who is the masked luchador?

    A Familiar Wrestling Trope

All signs point to Chad Gable. This storyline appears to be a comedic wrestling tradition where a wrestler dons a disguise but vehemently denies their true identity—similar to John Cena’s “Juan Cena” persona or Hulk Hogan’s run as “Mr. America.” WWE has played with this concept before, most recently with Elias, Ezekiel, and Elrod.

This angle plays into Gable’s recent obsession with lucha libre, which began when he failed to defeat Mysterio and Dragon Lee before the Royal Rumble.

On the March 3 episode of RAW, Gable was shown in a vignette seeking guidance from a mysterious figure, who told him that to defeat luchadors, he must become lucha. Gable accepted the challenge and purchased a mysterious box, the contents of which remain unknown. He later teased fans by posting a picture of himself with the box, captioned “See you soon” in Spanish.

    Where is this Storyline Headed?

While Gable is currently the one under the mask, this could be a setup for something much bigger—potentially introducing former AEW star Rey Fenix to WWE. The storyline’s emphasis on lucha libre could be the perfect way to integrate Fenix into the company, either as an ally or a rival to Gable.

For now, the mystery continues, and fans should expect more denials, more masked men, and possibly an even bigger reveal in the weeks ahead.

  • Watch: Mystery Masked Superstar Who Is Not Chad Gable Debuts On Raw

A new masked superstar has joined the ranks of American Alpha and it\’s definitely not Chad Gable.

The former Olympian had been on an expedition the last few weeks, trying to find a solution to his \’Lucha problem.\’ Last week\’s episode of Raw saw Gable finally finding what he\’s been looking for in the form of a mystery box.

This week\’s episode of the Monday Night show then featured a tag team match between Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee of LWO and The New Day. The faces looked in control of the bout until a mysterious masked man showed up.

The masked star attacked Dragon Lee with a Frankensteiner and a jumping headbutt. When Rey Mysterio came out to confront him, the mystery star grabbed the WWE Hall of Famer and delivered a delayed German suplex.

This distraction allowed The New Day to capitalize and they won the match with an Up Up Down Down on Rey. The masked superstar on the other hand ran away as the security tried to apprehend him.

Cathy Kalley questioned Chad Gable about the attack later in the night but he denied being the one behind the mask. As she was pressing the issue, the security appeared behind them with the mystery star.

This development absolutely and completely absolves Chad Gable from the accusations. The big question after the show is who is behind the mask if not the American Alpha leader.

  • Chad Gable’s Transformation Begins: What’s In The Box?

On this week’s WWE Raw, Chad Gable continued his journey of redemption.

In a cryptic video segment, Gable was shown in Mexico, seeking a deeper understanding of lucha libre. As he displayed a picture to various locals, they seemed not to recognize him, adding to the mystery.

The vignette took a dramatic turn when Gable encountered a mysterious figure who warned him, “You can’t fight what you don’t understand.”

The man then told Gable that he must become lucha before handing him a box in exchange for payment.

The video ended with Gable staring in shock at whatever was inside, leaving fans to wonder what comes next.

Chad Gable recently announced on RAW that he was taking a break from WWE to “learn the dark arts of Lucha Libre”. This storyline developed after Gable experienced a series of setbacks, including losses to Penta, Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio.

Dominik Mysterio suggested a specific mentor for Gable’s training and provided directions to a mystery contact in Mexico.

  • Chad Gable Embraces Mentor Role: \”When Did I Become the Old Guy?\”

WWE RAW Superstar Chad Gable has embraced a new chapter in his career as a mentor to younger talent, particularly within his stable, American Made. In a recent appearance on The Jay Ferruggia Show, Gable reflected on his evolving role within WWE.

\”When these younger guys come to me for advice, I know I need to give them my full attention,\” Gable explained. \”People did that for me when I was coming up, and now it\’s my turn to pay it forward.\”

The transition to mentor has brought unexpected growth in Gable\’s own approach to teaching.

\”What\’s really special about these relationships is how they\’ve changed me,\” he noted. \”When they come with questions, I find myself being more thoughtful and deliberate with my responses, moving beyond just giving the expected answers.\”

The shift in his status became apparent to Gable over the past year and a half, as he found himself increasingly sought out for guidance.

\”There was this moment when I realized more of the roster was coming to me for advice, and I thought, \’Wait – when did I become the old guy?\’\”

While the realization caught him by surprise, Gable has found fulfillment in his role as a mentor. His experience exemplifies WWE\’s tradition of veteran performers helping to develop the next generation of talent, continuing a cycle that has long been vital to the company\’s success.
