Apollo Crews has shared a heartfelt farewell following his release from WWE, reflecting on an eleven-year career with the company in an Instagram post that accompanied a photo of himself holding a championship at WrestleMania.
Crews was among the talents let go in WWE’s post-WrestleMania roster cuts on April 24, a wave of departures that also included Zelina Vega, Kairi Sane, and others.
“Thank you, WWE, for eleven incredible years. Wow. Eleven years. What an incredible journey. I feel blessed to have had a career in WWE that lasted that long,” Crews wrote. “Thanks to everyone who sent me messages or texts. Even if I didn’t reply, just know I’m grateful.”
He reflected on his health throughout his tenure, noting he was fortunate to have avoided serious injury for most of his run, and expressed appreciation for the moments his career produced.
“I’ve been lucky to experience many amazing moments during my time with WWE. It’s been a fun ride, and I appreciate everyone who supported me along the way. To everyone I shared the ring with, thank you.”
Crews closed with a simple but definitive statement about where things stand. “All things come to an end. This is my time.”
Crews signed with WWE in 2015 and spent time in NXT before transitioning to the main roster in 2016. During his run he captured both the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship.
