Paul White Names Himself As Wrestling’s “Worst” in Several Categories

Paul Wight turned a rapid-fire superlatives game into a five-minute self-roast during an appearance on Sky Sports’ Ringmates, promoting AEW’s upcoming UK tour. Asked to name the best and worst wrestlers at various things, the 7-footer kept landing on the same answer: himself.

On worst dressed, Wight didn’t hesitate to throw Paul White, his real name, under the bus. “The worst dressed wrestler is probably Paul White without a doubt. Paul White dresses like a high school football coach everywhere he goes,” he said.

Singing was no kinder to him. “He’s horrible. He couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket,” Wight said of his own vocal ability, picking himself for worst singer.

The dancing question went the same way. Describing the worst dancer as someone with no rhythm and a lot of awkwardness, he landed on the obvious target. “Oh yeah, that’s me. That’s me,” he admitted.

He even copped to being the biggest complainer in the locker room, sort of. “I’m the biggest whiner. I’ve been referred to as the big whine. No, I’m just kidding. Probably me,” Wight said, leaning into the old “Big Show” nickname pun.

The one category he’d claim a win in was promoting AEW’s return to Wembley Stadium for All In. “Oh yeah, it’s Paul White again. It’s me. I’m your guy,” he said, pivoting straight into the pitch for the August 30 show in London.

AEW runs a Dynamite and Collision taping at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on August 26 before All In closes out the UK run at Wembley on August 30, 2026.
