Shelton Benjamin says he would welcome Kevin Knight into The Hurt Syndicate, naming him as his second choice for a potential new member behind Cedric Alexander — a former Hurt Business teammate from their WWE days.
Speaking to The Wrestling Classic ahead of AEW Double Or Nothing, Benjamin was asked directly about Knight as a possible addition to the group.
“Absolutely. No question. Straight up, yes. Absolutely. If it were my choice today, if I said I wanted a new member in the Hurt Syndicate — the Hurt Syndicate wants a fourth member, without a doubt, my first pick would be Cedric Alexander. My second pick would be Kevin ‘Jet’ Knight.”
Alexander was a member of the original Hurt Business in WWE alongside Bobby Lashley, Benjamin, and MVP from September 2020 until March 2021, when Lashley kicked both him and Benjamin out of the faction after a string of losses. Benjamin and Alexander went on to team together under The Hurt Business name until August 2022.
The Hurt Syndicate reformed in AEW in October 2024 with Lashley, Benjamin, and MVP. Benjamin and Lashley went on to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship in January 2025. MJF joined the group in May 2025 but departed that August.
The Hurt Syndicate will compete in the Stadium Stampede match at AEW Double Or Nothing this Sunday.
