Former Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley recently revealed that she is dealing with an eating disorder after weeks of online speculation about her weight loss. ‘The Eradicator’ addressed the rumors directly in an Instagram comment, shutting down theories about back pain and changes to training.

Fitness influencer M.K. Angeletti posted a video on Instagram comparing Ripley’s previous muscular physique to her current leaner appearance. The post sparked widespread discussion among fans, with some claiming she lost weight due to back pain from muscle mass, while others questioned whether her presence as a performer had been affected.

Angeletti defended Ripley’s physique in the video, explaining she had retained her muscle mass and only lost body fat.

Ripley Shuts Down False Rumors

But Ripley’s response in the comments revealed the real story behind her weight loss.

“Just a little eating disorder that I’m actively trying to handle,” Ripley wrote.

The comment clarified that her weight loss was not related to back pain or a deliberate change in training. Ripley has previously addressed false claims on social media, including shutting down rumors that she discussed her weight loss in an interview.

Ripley has faced criticism about her physique throughout her career. She has pointed out in the past that she was criticized for being “too muscular,” and now faces criticism for being “too skinny.” Following her Instagram comment, fans and wrestling professionals expressed support for the WWE star.

Rhea Ripley is set to challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42.
