Christian Cage and Cope captured the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Double Or Nothing on Sunday night, defeating FTR in a brutal I-Quit match at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.

The match featured several violent sequences, with Cage and Cope whipping the champions with a belt and barbed wire early on. Cope sent Dax Harwood through a ladder on the floor. Dax responded with a chair shot to Cope’s head before the two battled on the apron. Cope used pliers on Dax’s nose while Cage did the same to Cash Wheeler.

Stokely Hathaway intervened with a punch using a watch to Cope, allowing FTR to hit their finisher. Beth Phoenix came out to confront Stokely, but Dax pushed her face-first into the ring steps. Cash then accidentally speared Stokely off the apron through a flaming table.

The finish came when Cage hit a low blow on Dax, followed by Cope delivering a piledriver. Cage locked Dax in a sharpshooter while Cope applied a crossface simultaneously. Beth retrieved a spiked piece of lumber for Cope to use on Dax, and FTR submitted.
