  • Latest On The Motor City Machine Guns Amid WWE Reports

WWE is home to some of the most talented tag-teams in the world, with The Bloodline, the Judgment Day, Nathan Frazer & Axiom, and Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair currently holding gold. Now, the promotion is set to welcome one of the most successful tag teams in history which has held gold in several promotions.

The Motor City Machine Guns have signed with WWE, several sources within the promotion have confirmed to both PW Insider and Fightful Select. The reported plan is for the pair to debut by the October 1, edition of WWE NXT, which will serve as the gold brand\’s debut on The CW.

The team of Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley became free agents in April of this year after finishing their time with TNA Wrestling. After their departure, it was speculated that the pair would join AEW, two years after competing at the infamous All Out 2022 event. PWN reports that there were talks between the two sides for a short time, but talks had fallen through.

In July, it was reported that Shelley and Sabin ha been in talks with WWE, and Shelley himself hinted as much on social media. In an Instagram post, Shelley spoke of spending July 4, competing in what\’d be his final match for Beyond Wrestling \”for a while\” fuelling speculation that he\’d signed somewhere that wouldn\’t let him on the indies (WWE.) Days later, Shelley told fans at a West Coast Pro event that \”I might not be coming back here\” and called the announcement a \”spoiler alert\” on his future.

Shelley and Sabin are considered one of, if not the greatest tag-teams in TNA history and the pair have held the company\’s tag gold multiple times. Both men are also former X-Division and World Champions with Sabin becoming World Champion in 2013 and Shelley in 2023. Now, fans can expect the pair to bring their skills as a tag team and as individual talents to WWE NXT.

Speaking to TMZ, WOW co-founder David McLane shared his excitement over Mayfield\’s involvement.

\”We couldn\’t be more thrilled to have Paola Mayfield join WOW – Women Of Wrestling. I have been following her wrestling journey and her success on reality TV for some time now, and we can’t wait to see her take her talents and flare to the WOW ring in the new season.\”

As part of the NWA, Mayfield has worked with the likes of Angelina Love, Kamille, Marti Belle, and Chelsea Green. So far, she has an unfortunate 1-10 win/loss record but is eager to turn that around in WOW – Women of Wrestling.

  • Micah Taylor, Ex-WWE Developmental Talent, Dies Aged 47

Michael Sharrer, a wrestler who was once signed to a developmental contract with WWE, has passed away at the age of 47. Sharrer\’s passing was shared publicly by former WWE star Mike Mondo, who stated the following on Facebook.

\”This one isn’t easy. Still doing my best to process this. Mike Taylor was the first friend I made in OVW which carried over into a close friendship/brotherhood for the next 20+ years. We were just texting a couple weeks ago. You always looked and treated me like your younger brother. You’ve always had a huge heart. I’m grateful for all the great times we had in Louisville & of course the countless shoots on the west coast doing mocap. Those memories will last forever. I pray for Mikes family during this difficult time especially his kids Isaiah & Mina. I love you Big Mike. A-team for life. RIP buddy.\”

A former marine, Sharrer joined the world of wrestling in 2003 and signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2006. Assigned to OVW and Deep South Wrestling, Sharrer was named Micah Taylor and worked with future big names including MVP and Jake Hager. The peak of this run came in May 2006 when he and Tony Santarelli captured the DSW Tag Team Championships. Their five-month reign ended with them losing the gold to Deuce and Domino.

On-screen, Sharrer competed on the October 21, 2003, edition of WWE Velocity where he teamed with Rob Begley in a losing effort to Paul London and Brian \’Spanky\’ Kendrick. He also lost a tag-team match in a dark match before the February 6, 2006, edition of WWE Heat.

On Twitter, WWE Raw General Manager paid tribute to Sharrer and recalled performing motion capture with him for WWE video games.

We here at SEScoops would like to share our condolences to Sharrer\’s family, friends, and colleagues at this sad time.

  • Watch: MVP Takes First Bump In A Long Time Ahead Of In-Ring Return

MVP\’s tenure with WWE came to an end earlier this year and the Hurt Business alum has made clear he doesn\’t plan on going back. While the former United States Champion is no longer a part of WWE\’s roster, he is not ready to retire just yet.

On Instagram, MVP shared a video of his first bump in \”a long time\” with Shelton Benjamin giving feedback from behind the camera. In the caption, MVP admitted that his days in the ring are numbered but he\’s not finished wrestling.

The Ronin of professional wrestling has returned! I literally hit the ring yesterday!!! 1st bump in a while. A few more weeks of training and a bit of @justformen and I\’ll be ready!!! My official in ring retirement is near. But, it\’s not here yet!!!!

MVP returned to WWE in 2020, originally as a producer, but transitioned into an on-screen managerial role shortly after. Though he remained at ringside for the vast majority of his four-year run with the company, MVP competed 44 times and rocked up a 16-28 win/loss record. Earlier this year, MVP underwent Stem Cell Therapy which he hopes will extend his in-ring career.

    What\’s To Come?

MVP\’s first post-WWE match will come this November when he takes on Josh Barnett at Bloodsport XII at the White Eagle Hall in Jersey City, New Jersey. The 50-year-old confronted MVP at Bloodsport XI earlier this year, setting up a fight between the two.

  • Drew McIntyre Reveals Dave Bautista\’s First Impression Of Him

The Killer\’s Game is the latest Hollywood blockbuster from Dave Bautista, but WWE\’s Animal isn\’t the only wrestler involved. The film also marks the feature-film debut of Drew McIntyre who has addressed his relationship with his fellow former World Champion.

During a Reddit AMA, McIntyre was asked if Bautista is \”the big soft sweetheart\” he seems to be in interviews. Not only did the Scottish Warrior confirm this is the case, but he gave an example of how Batista\’s personality led a young Drew to believe that the Animal didn\’t like him.

\”Yeah he is! Naturally introverted, much like myself, in fact a lot of us wrestlers are. When I first met him I thought he didn’t like me because he was so quiet, but then he started mentoring me when I was a youngster but it was more than that he really kept an eye out of me and clued me up on how to navigate the WWE. Now he’s doing the same as I step into this new world. All round great lad.\”

The Killer’s Game tells the story of Joe Flood (Bautista) a hitman who puts out a hit on himself after being diagnosed with a terminal disease. After learning that this diagnosis was inaccurate, Flood must fend off several contract killers including McIntyre\’s Rory McKenzie. The Animal personally put McIntyre\’s name forward for the role.

The Killer’s Game marks the feature film debut for Drew McIntyre, but it may not be the last time fans see the former WWE Champion on the big screen. In July, McIntyre signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency, a group that represents other WWE names including Damian Priest, Tiffany Stratton, and most recently, Liv Morgan. McIntyre has spent years proving his screen presence in WWE and fans of the Scottish Warrior will be eager to see more of him in blockbuster movies.

The Killer\’s Game hits cinemas on Friday, September 13.

  • AEW Collision Spoilers For Saturday, September 14th

The latest tapings of AEW Collision delivered plenty of high-octane action as the promotion continued to deal with the fallout from their All Out pay-per-view.

The show was taped on Thursday, September 12, from the Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio. This taping comes off the back of this week\’s AEW Dynamite, where Jon Moxley addressed his All Out betrayal of Bryan Danielson. Moxley, calling himself the \”one true king of these lands\” expressed his frustration with the out-of-control attitudes in the locker room and ended by stating \”I choose war.\”

    AEW Collision Spoilers [9/14/2024]

Here are the results for the September 14, 2024, edition of AEW Collision.

    • AEW TNT Champion Jack Perry defeated Christopher Daniels.
    • ROH Champion Mark Briscoe & Hologram & Kyle O’Reilly defeated The Premier Athletes.
    • Wheeler Yuta defeated Anthony Henry.
    • Private Party & Komander won a six-man tag team match.

  • Mercedes Moné Expresses Concern Over AEW’s Most Violent Matches

AEW touts itself as the place “Where the Best Wrestle,” but the company also presents plenty of glorious violence. At AEW All Out, Jon Moxley betrayed Bryan Danielson following the American Dragon\’s successful AEW World Title defense, ending the Blackpool Combat Club. Moxley\’s attack on his former ally, which included suffocating Bryan with a plastic bag, has spawned a debate as to whether the segment went too far in the name of entertainment.

All Out also saw Mercedes Moné retain her AEW TBS Championship against Hikaru Shida and she was among those in the NOW Arena who saw the attack on Danielson unfold. In her newsletter, the CEO admits that the attack was hard to watch and she wouldn\’t want some in her family viewing this kind of wrestling content.

\”Bryan\’s stuff was tough to watch. I have mixed emotions. When done right, that kind of stuff can tear a roof off like Daniel\’s did. However, I wouldn\’t want my brother Joshua to watch stuff like that, or kids, for that matter.\”

Moné went on to recall growing up without a father, and the joy she feels meeting parents and children at meet-and-greets who\’ve bonded over watching wrestling that all can enjoy. On the other hand, Moné accepts that there is \”an audience that loves the extreme, and you want to cater to them, too.

AEW has opted not to feature the suffocation spot on social media due to the graphic content. There is a question as to whether those in AEW feel the spot cannot be shared, or whether this tweet was posted to demonstrate just how violent All Out was.

Since launching in 2019, AEW has been able to push the envelope when it comes to violence compared to its competitors at WWE. While many appreciate AEW providing an alternative in that regard, there will always be a question of where the proverbial line is, and whether AEW has crossed it. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Mercedes Mone and the action from All Elite Wrestling.

  • CM Punk Impressed By Giulia, Will Make Announcement On 9/17 WWE NXT

On the September 10, edition of WWE NXT, Giulia made her WWE in-ring debut with a victory over Chelsea Green. The Japanese sensation has caught the attention of fans, as well as CM Punk, who has something in store for the newest addition to the NXT roster.

Giulia\’s victory over Green came one week after the two came face-to-face which itself came mere days after Giulia made her official NXT debut at No Mercy.

On Instagram, WWE shared footage of Giulia\’s in-ring victory over Green that caught the attention of CM Punk. In the comments, Punk was impressed by the Marigold alum and had an idea for Giulia to run by NXT General Manager Ava.

\”impressive debut. @avawwe_ I have an idea, going to call and run it by you\”

Whatever Punk has in mind, fans may not have to wait long to hear it as the Best in the World will have a special announcement to share on next week\’s episode of WWE NXT.

CM Punk will also be part of the debut episode of WWE NXT on The CW which will take place from Punk\’s hometown of Chicago, Illinois. During her WWE NXT debut last week, Giulia made clear she wants to face Roxanne Perez when the gold brand moves to its new home on October 1. Punk has made his presence felt at WWE NXT since his return to WWE last November and has shown interest in a role at the WWE Performance Center.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on CM Punk ahead of the Best in the World\’s announcement next week on WWE NXT.

  • WWE Pulls CM Punk Bracelet From Shop, Creator & Drew McIntyre Comment

During the September 2, WWE Raw, Drew McIntyre made his feud with CM Punk even more personal by seemingly destroying the bracelet gifted to Punk by a fan. This week, WWE began selling replicas of the fan-made item, but now this unique piece of merchandise is no longer on the market.

The replica bracelet is virtually identical to the one created by Victoria, a CM Punk fan who gifted him the bracelet over WrestleMania 40 week. In a lengthy statement shared on Twitter, Victoria made clear that while she has no issue with WWE for selling the $9.99 replica, some recognition would have been appreciated.

Many Twitter/X users weighed in sharing their problem with WWE selling replica bracelets, believing that Victoria should be receiving a cut of the profits or at the very least some recognition. The bracelet has already been considered one of the worst pieces of WWE merchandise due to both the ethical implications, as well as the concept of paying $10 to buy yourself a friendship bracelet with another man\’s family featured.

Now, the bracelet has been pulled from WWEShop.com without any explanation being given by the website. Though this bracelet is gone, WWE is also selling bracelet three-packs for talent including Bianca Belair and The Rock.

    Drew McIntyre Comments

It wasn\’t just fans who shared their two cents about the bracelet as Drew McIntyre once again flexed his heel muscles on social media. Responding to an earlier post by Victoria, the Scottish Warrior suggested that Victoria has a bit too much in common with her hero.

McIntyre\’s war with CM Punk will see the two enter Hell in a Cell at WWE Bad Blood on October 5. Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest on WWE Bad Blood including breaking news and live results from Atlanta, Georgia.

  • TNA\’s Hammerstone Makes WWE NXT Debut In Clash With Oba Femi

In recent weeks, Tony D\’Angelo\’s family has hit a proverbial brick wall in the form of Oba Femi, who has overcome all the Don has done, including besting D\’Angelo at No Mercy. On this week\’s WWE NXT, D\’Angelo turned to some outside help, resulting in an epic crossover from a star of TNA Wrestling.

In the run-up to this week\’s show, it was confirmed that the reigning NXT North American Champion, was set to face a mystery opponent, sparking speculation about who would step up to challenge him. To the surprise of fans, TNA\’s Hammerstone answered the call. Despite a strong showing, he too fell short against the dominant Nigerian Superstar.

With Hammerstone unable to secure the win, the spotlight remains on Oba Femi and his reign as NXT North American Champion. The question now is who will step up next to challenge the seemingly unstoppable champion.

Hammerstone wasn\’t the only TNA name on last night\’s show, as TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace was back in WWE NXT. The Juggernaut saw better fortunes than her TNA counterpart as she retained her title in an open challenge against Sol Ruca.

  • How Dave Bautista Helped Drew McIntyre Land \’The Killer\’s Game\’ Role

Later this week, The Killer\’s Game will be released in cinemas, featuring an all-star cast including Terry Crews, Pom Klementieff, Ben Kingsley, and Dave Bautista. Drew McIntyre is also attached to the film, but this may not have happened if not for the Animal.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet of Insight, Bautista recalled speaking with director J.J. Perry about casting. When Perry needed a tough-as-nails Scotsman for a role, Bautista had the perfect name in mind.

\”I was having a conversation with JJ, and he said \’I need a great big guy who\’s almost intimidating to you. A guy who would dwarf you. And I also need him to be able to pull of a Scottish accent.\’ He asks \’Do you know anybody?\’ \’Man, I\’ve got the perfect guy!\’\”

The Killer\’s Game tells the story of Joe Flood (Bautista) a hitman who puts out a hit on himself after being diagnosed with a terminal disease. After learning that this diagnosis was inaccurate, Flood must fend off several contract killers including Rory Mackenzie (McIntyre.)

    The Reviews Are In

While The Killer\’s Game won\’t be released to the public until September 13, some have been lucky enough to already catch the film and McIntyre\’s performance.

The Killer\’s Game marks the feature film debut for Drew McIntyre, but it may not be the last time fans see the former WWE Champion on the big screen.

  • 49ers Acknowledge Roman Reigns at NFL Season Kick-Off Victory

Roman Reigns returned to WWE at SummerSlam to cost Solo Sikoa in his Undisputed WWE Title match against Cody Rhodes. Reigns has since been taken out by Sikoa and his new Bloodline but that didn\’t stop the Original Tribal Chief\’s presence being felt in the NFL this week.

Reigns was recognized as part of the festivities surrounding the San Francisco 49ers, who kicked off their NFL season last night by taking on the New York Jets. Ahead of the game, the 49ers took to the field to Reigns\’ WWE theme song.

During the game, Fred Warner fired up his team with a pep talk that was given extra gravitas as Reigns\’ theme filled Levi\’s Stadium.

Acknowledging the OTC clearly paid off for the San Francisco 49ers, who defeated the Jets 32-19. The 49ers made it to the Super Bowl last year but lost in a nail-biting game to the Kansas City Chiefs.

    Roman Reigns and Football

Roman Reigns is a known fan of the San Francisco 49ers and correctly predicted they would make it to the Super Bowl ahead of last year\’s season. Before dominating in WWE, Reigns was part of the off-season teams of the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars and in 2008 played for the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League.

As for his future in WWE, Reigns is expected to continue his feud with Solo Sikoa and the Bloodline once he returns to programming. Sikoa will challenge Cody Rhodes again, this time in a steel cage match, on this Friday\’s SmackDown. The show will mark SmackDown\’s premiere on the USA Network after five years with FOX.

  • WWE is Now Selling CM Punk\’s Friendship Bracelet, Creator Responds

In recent weeks, one of WWE\’s hottest feuds hasn\’t been centered over a championship, but instead, a bracelet crafted by a fan for CM Punk. While the bracelet seemingly met its end on the September 2 edition of Monday Night Raw, fans can now pick up their own replica of this unique piece of WWE canon.

WWEShop is selling a replica of the bracelet, which bears the names of AJ and Larry, and is available to purchase for $9.99 plus shipping. A description of the team reads:

\”CM Punk keeps a reminder of his love for his wife and furry, four-legged family member, Larry, in the form of a Friendship Bracelet. Take a trinket that reminds you of your loved ones wherever you go like The Second City Saint does by making this CM Punk Friendship Bracelet yours. One look at this accessory lets everyone know you\’d fight to get your piece of flesh if anyone questions your loyalty to those you hold dear.\”

This new item has caught the attention of Victoria, who created the original bracelet and gifted the item to Punk during WWE WrestleMania week earlier this year. On Twitter, Victoria shared that a \’heads up\’ would\’ve been appreciated and admitted that the bracelet was supposed to be a one-of-a-kind item for the \’Best in the World.\’

Later, Victoria clarified that she doesn\’t have any beef with WWE and was simply taken by surprise by her creation now being used for merchandise.

On this week\’s Raw, Adam Pearce shared that McIntyre and Punk will meet once again at WWE Bad Blood in a Hell In A Cell match, Punk\’s first since 2013. The AEW alum has also been confirmed for next week\’s Raw and will have plenty to say about the man he\’ll step into hell to face on October 5 in Atlanta, Georgia.

  • Logan Paul Fires Back At Kevin Nash: “I’m Better Than You Ever Were”

Logan Paul\’s involvement in WWE has been a topic of debate ever since the Maverick\’s arrival in 2021. While some believe Paul brings a natural heel charisma and eyes to the product, many others believe the controversial content creator is taking away spots that could benefit full-time talent.

This week, Kevin Nash shared his two cents on Paul and didn\’t hold back with his thoughts on the former U.S. Champion. On his Kliq This podcast, Nash recalled Paul admitting to Hulk Hogan on his ImPaulsive show that he did not know what \’Shoot\’ meant.

\”He’s not one of the boys. Where would he learn that s*** at? Where’s he f***** going up and down the road, f****** talking about our f****** jargon?… That motherf*****, from what I heard he’s making 5 million bucks for a limited f****** [dates], and those other motherf******s are out there making house shows, f*** you. That’s from the boys.\”

On Twitter, Paul responded, first by questioning who Kevin Nash is and admittedly that he\’s \”not as versed in the WWE and wrestling as I should be.\” Paul, who considers himself one of the top five in WWE already, imagined what he\’d be like if he dedicated more time to WWE and became one of the \’boys.\’ Paul\’s harshest comments were saved for the very end and directly aimed at the two-time WWE Hall of Famer.

\”F*** me? F*** you. You’re one of the old guys who is bitter that I am better at your job than you ever were. That makes you pathetic. This will be my sport and I will continue to make guys like you eat your words when I devote a little bit of time to it. F*** me? F*** you.”

Paul\’s role in wrestling has always been a source of contention for many, but after re-signing with WWE in January of this year, fans can expect to see more of him in WWE. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Logan Paul and his time as a part-time WWE talent.

  • Watch: Bret Hart and Triple H Reunite At WWE Raw in Calgary

WWE’s September 9 episode of Monday Night RAW emanated from Calgary, Alberta, so it was only fitting that Bret \’Hitman\’ Hart made a rare appearance. Not only did the two-time WWE Hall of Famer have a segment in the ring, but the Canadian also had a special moment backstage with Triple H.

Hart\’s entrance was met with a thunderous ovation from the passionate Calgary audience and he spoke of representing Canaidan Wrestling. His segment was swiftly interrupted by World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER who proclaimed that Bill Goldberg is his favorite wrestler, an individual Bret has had issues with for decades. Sami Zayn would appear shortly after, once again making his claim to a title match against the man he beat at WrestleMania 40.

Following the segment, Triple H shared a heartfelt backstage moment with Hart. The Game praised Hart for the reaction he got from the Canadian crowd while Bret shared his gratitude for being a part of the show.

Bret\’s appearance on WWE Raw was a treat for wrestling fans, and the promotion will return to Canada later this year. WWE Survivor Series 2024 will take place at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, on November 30, marking the third time the show has come to the Great White North.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Bret Hart as well as WWE\’s impending return to Canada later this year for the 38th annual Survivor Series Premium Live Event.

On October 5, WWE will host its first Bad Blood PLE in over 20 years from the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Surprises have been teased for the show, and on this week\’s RAW, the card for the highly-anticipated event started coming together.

Hell in a Cell: CM Punk Vs. Drew McIntyre

The feud between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre has been one of the hottest angles of 2024 and will come to a head at WWE Bad Blood. Not only will the pair settle the score in a rubber match, but it will be contested inside Hell in a Cell. The iconic structure has been used at all WWE Bad Blood PLEs so far and that tradition will continue on October 5.

    Rhea Ripley Vs. Liv Morgan

Liv Morgan has been at odds with Rhea Ripley ever since Mami\’s return to WWE programming from her injury in July of this year. After trading victories at WWE SummerSlam and WWE Bash in Berlin, the two will face off at Bad Blood with Morgan\’s Women\’s World Championship on the line.

    Damian Priest Vs. Finn Balor

At WWE SummerSlam, Damian Priest (alongside Rhea Ripley) was betrayed by The Judgment Day, as Finn Balor aided GUNTHER against the Archer of Infamy. On this week\’s Raw, Balor challenged Priest to a match at WWE Bad Blood which the former World Champion was quick to accept.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for all the latest from WWE Bad Blood including breaking news and live results from WWE\’s next Premium Live Event.

  • Kiana James Update Amid WWE Hiatus

During the 2024 WWE Draft, several names were selected from WWE NXT to move to the main roster. While some draftees have already done big things on the main roster, one Superstar has now been pulled from the company\’s active roster. Kiana James has been moved from the internal active roster to the \’misc\’ roster, Pwinsider reports. This roster typically includes talents out due to long-term injuries, such as Big E, or those who only make rare appearances.

James was the final pick of the televised portion of Night One of the Draft and moved from WWE NXT to Monday Night Raw. Since then though, James has only competed twice on the red brand, with her most recent match being a Money in the Bank qualifier loss on the June 17, edition of Raw. She had also been involved in a storyline as an assistant to RAW General Manager Adam Pearce, but that angle quickly fizzled out.

James is the latest name to be removed from WWE\’s active roster, and she\’ll likely be hoping to avoid a similar fate to her predecessors. MVP was reportedly removed from the internal roster in July of this year, and he has since left the promotion. Last week, Odyssey Jones\’ push came to an abrupt end and he was removed from WWE\’s roster on the website, and it\’s been reported that he has been cut from the company.

Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on Kiana James and her future as a WWE Superstar after reportedly being removed from the active roster.

  • JoJo Offerman Hopeful For Potential WWE Return As A Manager

From 2013 to 2021, JoJo Offerman was part of WWE, first as a part of Total Divas, and later competed in a handful of matches. After working as a ring announcer, she quietly left in 2021, but fans could see her on WWE programming in the future.

Speaking to Southern Wrestling Autographs, JoJo shared that the idea of a WWE return is \”always in the back of my mind\” and that she misses the \’family\’ she made there. While best known for her work as an announcer, JoJo said she\’s eager to step into a managerial role.

\”I would love that! There’s no one in particular that I can think of right now [to manage.] I would love to say Wyatt Sicks, but at the same time, I feel like that’d be a lot, and they have so much going on, I wouldn’t want to disturb that.\”

    – JoJo Offerman

Though she\’s yet to be publicly associated with The Wyatt Sicks, JoJo has an obvious connection to the group, as she was engaged to Windham \’Bray Wyatt\’ Rotunda. After his passing in August 2023, WWE revealed that proceeds from Wyatt-related merchandise would benefit JoJo and Rotunda\’s four children. In June of this year, JoJo shared details of a \’visit\’ from Rotunda that had a profound effect on her.

Offerman hasn\’t appeared for WWE in years, but maintains a loyal fanbase who can follow her life on social media. Stay tuned to SEScoops for the latest on JoJo Offerman and her potential return to the world of WWE.

  • Dave Bautista Sets Sights On DC Comics Role In James Gunn Film Universe

After a successful career in pro wrestling, Dave Bautista has become a leading name in Hollywood with huge franchises tied to his name. While best known for his role as Drax the Destroyer in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, WWE\’s resident \’Animal\’ is more than willing to jump into the world of DC Comics.

In a recent interview with ComicBook, Bautista discussed his openness to appearing in DCU films, especially under the direction of James Gunn. The Guardians of the Galaxy director, alongside producer Peter Safran, was named co-chairs and co-CEOs of DC Studios in October 2022.

\”I’ve been very open to that. I guess it just has to be the right part. But I’m very open to it, and I love James, and I would do anything to work with him.\”

Though Bautista plans on being in a DC Comics film one day, fans shouldn\’t expect him back in the ring. In a recent interview with Insight, Bautista said he wouldn\’t want to tarnish his 2019 send-off at WrestleMania 35, despite missing the roar of the WWE Universe.

    Bautista Wants To Play Bane

In 2023, Bautista shared interest in playing Bane, one of the most iconic villains from Batman\’s \’Rogues Gallery.\’ The Animal shared that he had spoken with Gunn but believes his friend plans on taking DC Comics\’ film universe in a younger, fresher direction. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful addressed these rumors, responding to the fan’s now-deleted tweet by confirming that he had heard reports of security being called to the backstage area.
