  • Drew McIntyre’s Emotional Glasgow WWE Title Speech

Drew McIntyre delivered an emotional speech to his hometown crowd at Glasgow\’s OVO Hydro on Saturday night, one day after capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship and finally fulfilling his longstanding promise to bring the title to Scotland in front of live fans.

The 40-year-old Ayr native defeated Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match on Friday Night SmackDown to win the championship for the third time. In his first appearance as champion, McIntyre successfully defended the title against Shinsuke Nakamura at the non-televised WWE Live event in Glasgow.

    The Journey to Redemption

McIntyre\’s championship victory marks the culmination of years of determination following multiple setbacks. His first two WWE Championship reigns in 2020 and 2021 occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic, largely in empty arenas, denying him the chance to celebrate with fans.

\”The first time I won the WWE Championship, unfortunately the world had to go shut down on us, didn\’t it?\” McIntyre told the Glasgow crowd. \”I won it twice, and I\’m proud of what we did during that period. We gave people an escape during scary times, but I swore I would get the title back.\”

The Scottish Warrior also reflected on past disappointments, including his devastating loss to Roman Reigns at Clash at the Castle in Cardiff in 2022, where interference from Solo Sikoa crushed his championship dreams.

    A Promise Fulfilled

In his heartfelt address, McIntyre emphasized the significance of finally achieving his goal in front of his people.

\”Last night, you couldn\’t have written it any better. I won the WWE Championship and the very first place I was able to walk out in front of live fans as the number one wrestler on planet Earth was Glasgow, where I can fulfill my promise,\” McIntyre declared.

The champion, who attended Glasgow Caledonian University for four years before signing with WWE 18 years ago, pointed out family members in the audience and paid tribute to his late aunt during the emotional moment.

McIntyre concluded the celebration by leading the arena in a rousing rendition of \”Flower of Scotland,\” dedicating the moment to the Scottish national football team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

    What\’s Next

With the Undisputed WWE Championship now around his waist, McIntyre\’s reign has already begun with intensity. His rivalry with Cody Rhodes is expected to continue, potentially setting up a rematch at an upcoming premium live event.

The Scottish Superstar\’s championship victory represents not just a personal triumph, but a historic moment for WWE\’s European fanbase, as the company continues to expand its presence in international markets during the current European tour.

  • CM Punk Honors Late Dog Larry With Paw Tattoo

CM Punk debuted a heartfelt new tattoo honoring his late dog Larry at WWE’s live event in Glasgow on January 10. The World Heavyweight Champion was spotted sporting Larry’s pawprint tattooed on his chest during the show’s main event, where he successfully defended his title against Big Bronson Reed of The Vision.

Larry, who passed away in early December 2025, was a beloved presence in WWE and had become a popular figure backstage since Punk and his wife AJ Lee adopted him from PAWS Chicago in February 2015. The rescue dog was central to Punk’s 2024 Feud of the Year with Drew McIntyre, after McIntyre stole Punk’s bracelet bearing AJ and Larry’s names.

The new tattoo continues Punk’s tradition of honoring his pets with permanent ink—he previously got a pawprint tattoo for his dog Callee on his left forearm. Punk recently announced a charity partnership with PAWS Chicago, creating “The Larry” pizza to raise funds for homeless animals in honor of his companion.

Also appearing at the Glasgow event was Drew McIntyre, making his first appearance since capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes in a Three Stages of Hell match at SmackDown in Berlin the night before.

  • Logan Paul Auctions Pikachu Illustrator Card for Millions

WWE Superstar and YouTuber Logan Paul has officially put his prized PSA 10 Pikachu Illustrator card up for auction through Goldin Auctions, marking what could be one of the most significant collectibles sales in history.

The auction, which launched on Pokémon\’s 30th anniversary, features the only perfect-graded version of the legendary 1998 Pikachu Illustrator card in existence. Paul originally acquired the card in July 2021 for $5.3 million in a record-breaking trade, which included a PSA 9 Illustrator card plus $4 million cash.

    https://www.instagram.com/p/DTLnLtHCayE

Current bidding has already reached $2.3 million, with the auction scheduled to close on February 15, 2026. Paul announced he will personally hand-deliver the card to the winning bidder, complete with the custom diamond-encrusted chain he wore during his WrestleMania 38 debut.

The Pikachu Illustrator card holds a Guinness World Record as the most expensive Pokémon card ever sold and is considered the \”holy grail\” of Pokémon Trading Card Game collectibles. Only 39 copies were originally produced as prizes for a 1998 CoroCoro Comic illustration contest in Japan, designed by Pikachu\’s original creator, Atsuko Nishida.

Paul famously wore the card around his neck at WrestleMania 38 and during his boxing match against Anthony Joshua in Miami.

The card\’s auction represents a major crossover moment between WWE/wrestling fans and high-end Pokémon collectors, testing whether the market can match or exceed Paul\’s original purchase price. Goldin Auctions, known for facilitating record-breaking sales of sports cards and memorabilia, is handling the historic transaction.

Bidding remains open through mid-February, with collectors and investors worldwide watching to see if the card will set a new world record.

  • Mick Foley Backs Jesse Ventura’s Anti-Trump Message

WWE legend Mick Foley has publicly endorsed Jesse Ventura\’s recent criticism of Donald Trump, sharing his support via Instagram in a post titled \”I STAND WITH JESSE.\”

In his statement, Foley expressed \”wholehearted\” agreement with Ventura\’s remarks about Trump and his administration. \”We can\’t keep letting Trump and his gutless yes men lie to us over and over,\” Foley wrote, urging fans to exercise their freedom of speech and speak out against what he perceives as political dishonesty.

Proud to see the great Jesse Ventura speaking out in Minnesota,\” Foley wrote.  \”I agree wholeheartedly with “The Body” here, and I don’t know if anyone could have said it better.  We can’t keep letting Trump and his gutless yes men lie to us over and over. America needs to be better than this — we have to move on from this era of domestic and international cruelty. I would encourage everyone to be like the former Governor here, and use your freedom of speech to stand against injustice.

Ventura, a WWE Hall of Famer and former Minnesota governor, recently delivered pointed criticism of Trump in a widely circulated video, characterizing him as a threat to democratic norms and encouraging the public to reject his influence.

This marks a continuation of Foley\’s willingness to engage in political discourse, having previously criticized Trump\’s immigration policies and distanced himself from WWE over the company\’s political associations. Both Foley and Ventura share a history of transitioning from professional wrestling careers into political activism, lending additional credibility to their commentary within the wrestling community.

The public stance highlights the increasing trend of prominent wrestling figures using social media platforms to voice political opinions, potentially creating divisions among fanbase segments while reflecting broader cultural debates about celebrity activism and political engagement.

  • Maki Itoh Signs with Stardom, Debut Set for This Weekend

Maki Itoh has officially signed with World Wonder Ring Stardom, ending months of speculation about her next move. The internationally recognized “Fired Idol” was revealed as Stardom’s mystery signing at the promotion’s January 10 show at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, with President Taro Okada making the announcement in-ring.

“After 9 years of professional wrestling, this is the first time I’ll be doing it as a part of this organization,” Itoh stated following the announcement. “I will be joining STARDOM. Nice to meet you!”

    https://x.com/we_are_stardom/status/2009939866298245186?s=46

In a backstage interview, Itoh made her ambitions clear: “I am going to work hard in many matches from here on! I will win lots of belts! I will earn lots of money! I will become an even bigger star!”

    From TJPW to Free Agency

Itoh’s contract with Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling expired following the promotion’s August 23, 2025 show at Korakuen Hall, where she had been a cornerstone performer for nearly nine years. She announced her free agency shortly thereafter, thanking TJPW and confirming her intention to continue wrestling.

Stardom built anticipation through cryptic video vignettes that began airing during Christmas week, showing a mystery figure in front of several screens. As more details emerged, Itoh became the consensus pick among fans.

    International Recognition

Itoh built considerable name recognition in the United States through multiple appearances for All Elite Wrestling between 2021 and 2023, with her last AEW match on June 14, 2023. She also became a regular fixture on the U.S. independent scene, particularly with Game Changer Wrestling, where she held the Extreme Championship for 316 days.

Her “Fired Idol” persona and strong social media presence helped establish her as one of the most recognizable Japanese women’s wrestlers among Western audiences, creating a fanbase that extends well beyond traditional joshi wrestling circles.

    First Target: Natsupoi

When asked about potential opponents in Stardom, Itoh immediately named Natsupoi, a current member of the Cosmic Angels faction. “We’ve had a connection since our previous promotion, but she’s interesting,” Itoh said. “She probably hates Itoh. We can definitely have a great match.”

    What This Means

For Itoh, Stardom offers a high-profile platform within Japan’s joshi scene and the promotional infrastructure of Bushiroad. For Stardom, Itoh represents a wrestler with an established international following who can drive merchandise sales and increase global interest during the promotion’s 15th anniversary celebration.

Itoh’s debut match is expected to be announced in the near future as she begins her first chapter as a signed wrestler in her nine-year professional wrestling career.

  • WWE Sets Tournament for Undisputed Championship Match at Royal Rumble

WWE has officially set the Undisputed WWE Championship match for the Royal Rumble, with a tournament determining who will challenge new champion Drew McIntyre.

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced during Friday\’s broadcast from Berlin that a No. 1 Contenders Tournament will begin next week. The winner will face McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble on January 31 in Saudi Arabia.

Four qualifying matches will take place on the January 16 episode of SmackDown from London, England:

    • Randy Orton vs. The Miz

    • Matt Cardona vs. Trick Williams

    • Damian Priest vs. Solo Sikoa

    • Sami Zayn vs. Ilja Dragunov

The four winners will then compete in a Fatal Four-Way match at Saturday Night\’s Main Event on January 24. The winner of that bout earns the title shot at Royal Rumble.

Notably, former champion Cody Rhodes is not included in the field after losing the title to McIntyre earlier in the evening.

McIntyre captured his third Undisputed WWE Championship on Friday\’s SmackDown, defeating Rhodes in a brutal Three Stages of Hell match that saw interference from the returning Jacob Fatu. The Scottish Warrior had been chasing the top title since losing it during the ThunderDome era, with his WrestleMania XL victory lasting only seconds before Damian Priest cashed in Money in the Bank.

The Royal Rumble marks the first time WWE\’s traditional January event will be held outside North America. It is also part of WWE\’s partnership with Saudi Arabia as part of Riyadh Season, with a stadium reportedly being built from the ground up for the event.

  • Elton Prince Reveals Neck Surgery After Terrifying May Injury

Elton Prince has revealed that he recently underwent neck surgery following an injury he suffered back in May.

The Pretty Deadly star has been absent from WWE programming since June, when commentary on SmackDown confirmed he was dealing with an injury. Now, Prince has shared the full details of what happened and the road he\’s been on since.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Prince explained that he took a bad landing in the ring during May, with the top of his head hitting the mat. He described the sensation as \”burning hot electricity\” that exploded through his neck and arms, causing him to temporarily lose control of his hands as his fingers curled in and became stuck.

\”It was pretty terrifying and what followed has been 7 months of tests, questions and well pain,\” Prince wrote. \”But thanks to the efforts of the WWE medical staff and Dr Kanter, Gina and the Hoag team we found the problem and yesterday I successfully underwent a 2 level neck fusion.\”

The 28-year-old acknowledged that this isn\’t where he hoped to be at this stage in his career, but expressed gratitude for the support he\’s received.

\”I want to thank everybody who has messaged or commented to ask how and where I am,\” he continued. \”It\’s been nice to not feel forgotten and I will try my hardest to overcome all the obstacles and get back in the ring for you.\”

Prince also thanked his wife, Kelly Kincaid, who works as a WWE backstage interviewer, for her support during his recovery. He noted that his current focus is on getting healthy and being the best dad he can be for their daughter.

    Kit Wilson Shares Emotional Message

Prince\’s tag team partner Kit Wilson also shared a message on X, offering insight into just how difficult the journey has been for his partner.

\”Elton is a very private person, so he would never fully tell people just how hard this journey has been for him,\” Wilson wrote. \”The amount of pain, struggle, and hardship he\’s pushed through just to get to the point of having this surgery has been nothing short of admirable.\”

Wilson revealed that Prince was injured in the middle of a match and took another move that cut him open badly while trying to figure out what was wrong. Despite Wilson screaming at him to tag out so he could get medical help, Prince was determined to stay in the ring and finish the match.

The emotional post also touched on their bond, with Wilson explaining that they became best friends and tag partners on the independents before signing their WWE contracts, moving across the world together, and growing up side by side.

\”We always talked about being a tag team for life, no matter what,\” Wilson wrote. \”So for him to suffer a career-threatening injury was, and still is, devastating.\”

Wilson confirmed that everything he does now as a singles competitor is with the hope that one day they can be Pretty Deadly again, but noted that isn\’t the priority right now.

\”Right now, I\’m just grateful that Elton has finally had his surgery and is on the road to recovery, so he can be the best partner and the best father he can be,\” Wilson concluded, signing off with \”Love you, Lewis.\”

We wish Elton Prince a full and speedy recovery.

  • AJ Styles Returns to TNA for Thursday Night Impact AMC Premiere

AJ Styles will return to TNA Wrestling next week for the historic Thursday Night Impact premiere on AMC.

TNA announced on Friday that \”The Phenomenal One\” will appear at the January 15 debut episode, which airs live from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas at 9 p.m. ET. The company released a promotional video featuring clips from Styles\’ legendary run with the promotion alongside footage from his recent return.

This marks Styles\’ second TNA appearance since his surprise return at Slammiversary last July, where he endorsed newly-crowned X Division Champion Leon Slater. The two later crossed paths at WWE Saturday Night\’s Main Event on December 13, teaming together against Dragon Lee and Je\’Von Evans.

TNA has not confirmed whether Styles will wrestle on the premiere episode. The former WWE Champion stated in November that he didn\’t think WWE would allow him to compete in a TNA ring, noting that if he opened that door, other main roster talent would want the same opportunity.

Styles spent 12 years building TNA from 2002 to 2014, capturing the TNA World Heavyweight Championship twice and the X Division Championship six times. He is widely regarded as one of the promotion\’s greatest legends and founding figures.

About TNA\’s First Impact on AMC

The AMC premiere also features Joe Hendry, continuing the WWE-TNA partnership that has seen crossover appearances throughout the past year. The loaded card includes Frankie Kazarian defending the TNA World Championship against Mike Santana, Leon Slater defending the X Division Championship against Myron Reed, and The IInspiration defending the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship against The Elegance Brand. The Hardys will also team with Elijah to face Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch, and John Skyler).

Thursday Night Impact\’s move to AMC ends the promotion\’s six-year run on AXS TV, representing a significant upgrade in visibility as TNA aims to expand its audience reach on a major cable network. The show will also stream on AMC+ and TNA+.

Styles has been open about 2026 being his final year in the ring, stating he wants to retire on his own terms. His appearance adds significant star power to what TNA is positioning as a milestone moment in the company\’s history.

    The Marine

Joshua Hillen is a former United States Marine from Akron, Ohio who recently won the title of America\’s Strongest Veteran at a strongman competition in Las Vegas in October. The 5\’7\” competitor took first place in three of the competition\’s five events, including the Trump Weights Axle Clean and Press, the Keg Carry Over Bar, and the Sandbag Throw. Hillen has been competing in strongman competitions for eight years.

    The Baller

James Karnik (IG) is a 27-year-old basketball player from Surrey, Canada standing 6\’9\”. He has played for both Canadian and European teams, most recently averaging 5.7 points and 2.7 rebounds for Neptunas in the Lithuanian Basketball League. Karnik also played for the Vancouver Bandits during the 2022, 2024, and 2025 seasons.

    The MMA Fighter

Regina Tarin brings the most combat sports experience to the tryout. The Mexico native, nicknamed \”Kill Bill,\” is an undefeated MMA fighter with a 7-0 professional record dating back to her debut in 2023.

    https://www.instagram.com/regina_tarin/p/DTTjSo9gXpY/?hl=en

Neither Hillen nor Karnik have professional wrestling experience, but WWE has a history of recruiting athletes from diverse backgrounds.

Recent NXT signees include Jordynne Grace, a known powerlifter, Lash Legend, a former WNBA player, and Bron Breakker, a former NFL fullback.

The tryout comes as WWE continues to restock its developmental system following recent call-ups of stars like Je\’Von Evans, Oba Femi, and Trick Williams to the main roster.

The Performance Center tryout system serves as the primary gateway for prospects to potentially earn developmental deals and join the NXT roster.

  • Stephanie Vaquer Shows Brutal Ankle Injury, Title Defense Set Before Royal Rumble

Women\’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer shared a graphic look at her ankle injury on Friday, posting images to her Instagram Story showing heavy bruising and swelling on the affected ankle.

The photos showed Vaquer\’s visibly swollen, black-and-blue ankle with the caption \”Recovering.\” A follow-up post showed her ankle being scanned by a medical professional, giving fans a firsthand look at what she\’s been dealing with since her injury.

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2026/01/\"Stephanie

Vaquer suffered the injury during her Women\’s World Title defense in a Triple Threat Match against Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Bella on the December 29 edition of WWE Raw. Despite winning that match to retain her championship, she has been dealing with the legitimate injury ever since.

On the January 5 episode of Raw, Vaquer appeared wearing a walking boot and addressed the WWE Universe about her status. Introduced by Jackie Redmond, she confirmed she was injured but made clear she would not be relinquishing the Women\’s World Championship. Rodriguez attacked Vaquer during the segment, targeting the injured ankle both in the ring and backstage until Adam Pearce intervened.

The injury is clearly legitimate — but not severe enough to require a lengthy absence. Vaquer is reportedly cleared for contact, as evidenced by the attack segments on Raw.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Vaquer\’s title defense against Rodriguez is scheduled to take place before the Royal Rumble on January 31. It remains unclear whether the match will happen on an episode of Raw or at Saturday Night\’s Main Event on January 24.

Vaquer has held the Women\’s World Championship since defeating IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza on September 20, 2025. The visible injury has added real stakes to her ongoing rivalry with Rodriguez heading into their next encounter.

  • WWE SmackDown Preview Tonight (January 9, 2026): Three Stages of Hell in Berlin

WWE SmackDown kicks off the European Tour tonight from the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, with a stacked card headlined by a brutal championship match.

The show airs at 8 PM ET on USA Network for U.S. viewers (on tape delay), while international fans can watch live on Netflix at 2 PM ET. Here\’s everything you need to know about tonight\’s SmackDown.

Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre – Three Stages of Hell Match for the Undisputed WWE Championship

The bitter rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre reaches its climax tonight in only the sixth Three Stages of Hell match in WWE history. The Scottish Warrior chose this brutal stipulation after manipulating his way into one more title opportunity.

The three stages are: a traditional singles match, a Falls Count Anywhere match, and a Steel Cage match. The first competitor to win two falls walks out as WWE Champion. McIntyre has been relentless in his mind games, even burning a photo of Cody and his late father Dusty Rhodes last week after GM Nick Aldis barred The American Nightmare from touching McIntyre before tonight.

Rhodes enters with pent-up aggression after being unable to retaliate against McIntyre\’s despicable tactics. Will that fury fuel him to victory, or will his emotions cost him the title? McIntyre has fallen short in three previous championship opportunities against Rhodes, dating back to Wrestlepalooza in September. Tonight could finally be his night.

The Wyatt Sicks vs. The MFTs – 8-Man Tag Team Match

The war between The Wyatt Sicks and Solo Sikoa\’s MFTs continues with massive tag team championship implications on the line. Uncle Howdy\’s faction, the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions, face off against Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga, and JC Mateo in what promises to be a chaotic collision.

Solo Sikoa has vowed to take everything from Uncle Howdy, starting with the tag team gold. While the titles aren\’t officially on the line tonight, a victory here would give the MFTs significant momentum heading into a potential championship match. The two factions have been at each other\’s throats for months, with their December clash ending in a no-contest that only intensified the rivalry.

    Trick Williams vs. Rey Fenix

Two-time NXT Champion Trick Williams makes his SmackDown in-ring debut tonight against the high-flying Rey Fenix. Williams officially signed with the blue brand after appearing on SmackDown last week, where he boldly interrupted Sami Zayn and declared his intention to become Undisputed WWE Champion.

Williams arrives on the main roster with one of the most decorated NXT resumes in recent memory, including two NXT Championship reigns, a TNA World Title run, and a North American Championship reign. While Fenix\’s athleticism makes him a dangerous opponent, this match appears positioned as a showcase for SmackDown\’s newest acquisition.

    What Else to Expect

Randy Orton is expected to appear following his shocking return last week when The Viper destroyed The Miz with two thunderous RKOs. Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Damian Priest, and Sami Zayn are all advertised for the show. WWE Women\’s Champion Jade Cargill could also address her recent confrontation with Jordynne Grace.

With the Royal Rumble just three weeks away on January 31 in Saudi Arabia, tonight\’s SmackDown from Berlin could set the stage for several Road to WrestleMania storylines.

WWE SmackDown airs tonight at 8 PM ET on USA Network.

  • Dana White\’s Zuffa Boxing Debuts January 23 on Paramount+

TKO Group Holdings officially launches its boxing division next week when Zuffa Boxing presents Z01 on Friday, January 23, at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

The event streams exclusively on Paramount+ at 9 PM ET, serving as the lead-in to a massive combat sports weekend. UFC 324, headlined by Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy Pimblett for the interim lightweight title, follows on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena—marking both promotions\’ debut on the streaming platform.

    http://x.com/zuffa_Boxing/status/2009626583435497680

Dana White first teased Zuffa Boxing back in 2017, and the brand officially launched in September 2025 when TKO promoted the Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford superfight. The January 23 card represents the first event under the promotion\’s long-term Paramount+ agreement, which guarantees 12 cards in 2026.

Per industry reports, undefeated Irish prospect Callum Walsh (15-0) headlines against Carlos Ocampo, while Serhii Bohachuk faces former WBA welterweight titleholder Radzhab Butaev in the co-main event.

\”I\’m excited to bring great boxing events to a global audience,\” White said. \”There are millions of boxing fans that will now be able to watch competitive fights with up-and-coming boxers as well as the biggest stars in the sport.\”

Zuffa Boxing is a joint venture between TKO and Saudi-based Sela, with plans to build a 200-fighter roster operating under a UFC-style promotional model.

  • CJ Perry\’s WWE Predictions: Rumble Winners, WrestleMania Feuds

CJ Perry delivered a wide-ranging analysis of WWE\’s current landscape during her appearance on TMZ\’s Inside The Ring, making bold predictions for the Royal Rumble, the Undisputed WWE Championship, and naming Becky Lynch as the greatest worker in the business.

When asked about the men\’s Royal Rumble, Perry was emphatic about who needs to emerge victorious.

\”I\’m going to tell you who I think is going to win the Royal Rumble. And it has to be this person. It has to be Gunther,\” she declared.

Perry also highlighted NXT star Oba Femi as a dark horse contender, praising his physical presence. \”I was looking up his height yesterday. He\’s 6\’6. And like 300 lb of solid muscle. It\’s insane.\”

    Liv Morgan\’s Historic Year

For the women\’s Royal Rumble, Perry backed Liv Morgan as her winner, pointing to the Judgment Day star\’s dedication and crossover appeal.

\”I think that Liv Morgan is going to win the Royal Rumble. She is fast. She is talented. She trains. She has a professional ring in her backyard in her barn,\” Perry explained. \”She\’s the first woman ever to be in Style, like Style magazine wrote about her gear. That\’s never happened before that a professional wrestler has been crossing over into fashion publications.\”

Perry named Raquel Rodriguez as a potential spoiler, predicting, \”Raquel is going to piss off a lot of people at the Royal Rumble.\” Looking ahead to WrestleMania, she predicted a Raquel vs. Liv Morgan championship match, calling it \”a fight between two best friends and a faction.\”

Drew McIntyre Will Beat Cody Rhodes

Perry expressed confidence that Drew McIntyre will capture championship gold in his ongoing rivalry with The American Nightmare.

\”Drew McIntyre will beat Cody Rhodes for the championship in Berlin. He is 6\’4, very girthy, muscular, so tall. I do think he\’s going to crush Cody Rhodes,\” Perry predicted. \”This is Drew\’s time because if it\’s not now, then when is it? If it doesn\’t happen in Berlin, then Wrestlemania it will.\”

She defended Drew\’s use of personal family history in the feud.

\”I love personal story lines. Cody Rhodes is the son of Dusty Rhodes, so I think it\’s totally appropriate. Drew is a heel and he\’s trying to help Cody become even more loved.\”

Becky Lynch Is \’The Greatest Worker\’

Perry named Becky Lynch as the best performer in professional wrestling today, praising The Man\’s theatrical background.

\”Her work is incredible. She\’s always been incredible. I\’ve been a big fan of her since NXT days,\” Perry said. \”You could tell that she was a theater major. She\’s the greatest worker I think out there to be honest.\”

She also praised Austin Theory\’s redemption arc with The Vision, saying \”this business is not a sprint, it\’s a marathon. Do you take your failures and turn them into successes? That\’s exactly what Austin Theory\’s doing right now.\”

On Dominik Mysterio, Perry drew a distinction between his character work and in-ring ability.

\”I would not give Dominic men\’s wrestler of the year. I just don\’t think he\’s technically good enough. Now, I do think he is an iconic WWE superstar. I could maybe give him WWE superstar of the year because that\’s everything.\”

CJ Perry is preparing a return to professional wrestling in 2026, planning to work primarily as a manager and mouthpiece on the independent scene while scouting new “super athlete” talent. She has also been branching into stand-up and other projects to sharpen her mic skills and build her personal brand outside of major promotions.

  • Jim Ross Addresses D-Von Dudley Racism Allegations, Offers Private Reconciliation

WWE Hall of Fame commentator Jim Ross has once again addressed racism allegations made by D-Von Dudley, firmly denying the claims while offering to reconnect with the Dudley Boyz legend—but only in private.

Speaking on his \”Grilling JR\” podcast with Conrad Thompson, Ross appeared frustrated at having to repeatedly address the situation.

\”How many times do I gotta address it to satisfy everybody? I am not a racist. I have never been a racist,\” Ross stated. \”Ask some of the African-American athletes that I\’ve been around and worked with in my 50-year career. They\’ll say the same thing.\”

Despite the ongoing controversy, Ross extended an olive branch to D-Von, though he made clear he won\’t turn their reconciliation into content.

\”No problem, Conrad. I\’m happy to do it. I\’m just not going to put it on tape and make a TV show out of it. Period,\” Ross said. \”I am interested in reconnecting with Devon because I like Devon.\”

Ross expressed bewilderment at the allegations, stating he has no memory of negative interactions with D-Von.

\”I was bewildered by how this could happen because like I said, I don\’t remember any negative exchanges with him,\” Ross explained. \”There\’s no ill will in my heart towards Devon or any other person of color.\”

The controversy took a new turn when D-Von claimed in a recent video that Ross was \”extremely drunk\” during the alleged incident, potentially explaining why Ross has no recollection of the events.

What Happened With Jim Ross and D-Von Dudley?

    Timeline of Events:

    • 1990s–2000s: D-Von Dudley and Jim Ross work together in WWE during the Dudley Boyz run, with Ross in talent relations and on commentary.
    • October 2025: On his own YouTube/podcast, D-Von says he experienced racism from certain WWE officials and later confirms he is referring to Jim Ross.
    • Late December 2025: On “Grilling JR,” Ross publicly denies the allegations, calls them “absurd,” and says he has never been a racist.
    • January 2026 (early): In a new YouTube video, D-Von provides detailed accounts of two alleged racist incidents involving Ross (a WWE restaurant event and an Indianapolis interaction involving Paul Heyman) and says Ross was very drunk/heavily intoxicated during one of them.
    • January 2026 (following days): Ross addresses the situation again on “Grilling JR,” reiterates his denial, states he is not and has never been a racist, and says he would have no problem reconnecting with D-Von privately while expressing confusion over the accusations.

The situation remains unresolved several months later, with Ross maintaining his innocence while keeping the door open for private dialogue with D-Von to clear the air.

  • CJ Perry Announces Return to Pro Wrestling, Comedy Plans

Former WWE star CJ Perry has announced she will be returning to professional wrestling and plans to hit the independent scene as a manager.

Speaking on TMZ\’s Inside The Ring, Perry revealed her intentions to return to the business that made her famous, with a focus on mic work and managing talent.

\”I\’m making an announcement, okay, that I will be returning back to professional wrestling and I\’m going to be hitting the indie scene,\” Perry said.

\”Definitely on the mic and managing 100%. And that\’s also why I\’m enrolling in standup because I want to be so good on the mic. I want to be so sharp. I want to be so iconic.\”

Perry disclosed that she has already enrolled in standup comedy classes to sharpen her promo skills, with her first standup show scheduled for March 26. She described the show as being \”catered to the wrestling fan base.\”

The former Lana revealed ambitious plans to scout new talent on the indie circuit. \”I\’m going to start going to wrestling events and I\’m going to start searching for the next super athlete,\” Perry explained. \”I\’m going to be traveling. I eventually want to take the podcast on the road.\”

Perry also provided details about her ex-husband Rusev\’s new venture in professional wrestling training. Rusev is opening a wrestling school called Catch Academy, scheduled to launch at the beginning of March.

\”What separates this compared to all other professional wrestling schools is that it\’s going to have a really serious children\’s department where we\’re training kids at a very young age to go after their dreams,\” Perry said, noting that \”Catch\” means professional wrestling in Bulgarian.

Perry\’s return to wrestling comes after years away from the ring following her departure from WWE. Her focus on managing and promo work suggests she\’s looking to establish herself as a Paul Heyman-style figure in the independent wrestling scene.

  • 3 Stages of Hell Match Explained: Rules, History & Rhodes vs McIntyre

Ahead of tonight\’s highly anticipated Three Stages of Hell match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre for the Undisputed WWE Championship in Berlin, Germany, here\’s everything you need to know about one of WWE\’s rarest and most brutal stipulations.

    How It Works

A Three Stages of Hell match is a best-two-out-of-three falls contest where each fall features a different stipulation, with the first wrestler to win two falls claiming overall victory.

    Core Rules:

    • Best 2-out-of-3 falls format
    • Each fall has its own unique stipulation
    • First wrestler to win two falls wins the match
    • If tied 1-1, the third stage determines the winner
    • Wrestlers carry accumulated damage between stages

    Typical Match Structure:

    • Stage 1: Standard singles match (traditional rules apply)
    • Stage 2: No-disqualification format (Falls Count Anywhere, Street Fight, etc.)
    • Stage 3: Decisive gimmick match (Steel Cage, Ladder Match, Ambulance Match)

    Tonight\’s Match Stipulations

For Rhodes vs. McIntyre, the stages are:

    • Stage 1: Standard singles match
    • Stage 2: Falls Count Anywhere
    • Stage 3: Steel Cage Match

    History & Rarity

The stipulation originated at WWE No Way Out 2001 when Triple H defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin. Since then, WWE has only used the format six times, with the most recent main roster match occurring in 2013 when John Cena defeated Ryback at Payback.

Tonight\’s match will be the seventh Three Stages of Hell match in WWE history and the first on the main roster in over a decade—reserved for WWE\’s most personal rivalries.

  • Perez Hilton Appring at TNA iMPACT\’s AMC Debut

Celebrity blogger and media personality Perez Hilton will make a special appearance at TNA Wrestling\’s first-ever Thursday Night iMPACT on AMC, airing January 15, 2026, from the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas.

Hilton announced his involvement via social media, building intrigue around his role at the historic broadcast. \”What am I going to be doing there? Well, you\’re going to have to watch and see,\” Hilton teased in his announcement video.

The landmark episode marks TNA\’s debut on the AMC network and features two championship matches. TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian defends his title against Mike Santana, while X Division Champion Leon Slater faces Myron Reed.

Fans can attend the live taping at the Curtis Culwell Center or watch the broadcast on AMC at 9 PM ET/8 PM CT. Tickets are available through TNAwrestling.com.

The addition of a mainstream celebrity like Hilton, who commands millions of social media followers, represents a significant moment for TNA as the promotion enters this new chapter with AMC. His undisclosed role has generated speculation across wrestling and entertainment media ahead of the premiere.

  • Major Update on Logan Paul\’s Future With WWE

Logan Paul\’s detractors will have to get used to seeing him on their screens for years to come. The social media megastar has officially committed his future to WWE, announcing on his Impaulsive YouTube vlog that he signed a long-term full-time contract with the company.

\”I actually just signed my official long-term contract with the WWE. Seconds ago. We took espresso shots. I\’m officially a full-timer now,\” Paul revealed.

\”All you people saying I\’m a part-timer can shut your mouths. Feels good. Feels good to have a job. Your boy is going to be working. I\’m excited to get the year started. 2026, I want to hit it hard. I want to become the best wrestler I can be.\”

The announcement represents a significant commitment from Paul, who has proven himself a pro wrestling prodigy since joining WWE in 2022. Despite maintaining successful business ventures including his Prime beverage company and Impaulsive podcast, Paul has chosen WWE as his primary home.

The 30-year-old captured the United States Championship during his part-time run and wrestled 13 matches in 2025, a substantial increase from just three matches in 2022.

Paul currently performs as a member of The Vision on Monday Night RAW alongside Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Austin Theory under Paul Heyman\’s management. The faction won the men\’s WarGames match at Survivor Series in November, though Breakker came up short in his World Heavyweight Championship challenge against CM Punk on the January 5 RAW premiere, with Punk retaining after countering a spear attempt and hitting a second Go To Sleep.

With WWE\’s deepening ties to Netflix and the broader sports entertainment industry, Paul\’s full-time commitment positions him as a centerpiece of the company\’s future.

  • \’You\’re Damn Right\’: D-Von Dudley Reveals What Jim Ross Allegedly Said

D-Von Dudley has fired back at Jim Ross in a new video responding to JR\’s denial of racism allegations, providing detailed accounts of two separate incidents and backing from fellow WWE veteran Maven.

In a new video on his YouTube channel, D-Von directly addressed JR\’s denial on his Christmas Day podcast where he called the claims \”absurd\”, suggesting D-Von was \”conjuring up\” stories for attention.

\”I have no ill feelings towards him, okay? But don\’t take cheap shots at me for something that you did. Don\’t sit there and tell me, you know, that I\’m lying cuz I know I\’m not,\” D-Von stated.

D-Von provided a detailed account of a WWE restaurant event where he claims JR, while heavily intoxicated, made racially charged comments about him to Bubba Ray Dudley.

\”JR says, \’You know, the verdict\’s not out yet, but I\’m still a little hesitant with Devon.\’ And Bubba butts in and goes, \’You know something, J.R., regardless to what, Devon\’s a hard worker. He never gives this company any problems.\’ And finally, that\’s when it comes out. You know, he\’s black, you know. I just I don\’t know. And that\’s my hiccup.\”

D-Von also revealed a second incident in Indianapolis witnessed by Paul Heyman, who has spoken fondly about his time running ECW, where Heyman confronted JR directly.

\”Paul Heyman basically called him out, says, \’What? You don\’t want to say hello to Devon? What? Cuz he\’s black.\’ And [JR] went, \’You\’re damn right. Cuz he\’s black.\’ You\’re damn right,\” D-Von alleged.

Maven, who appeared alongside D-Von, offered his own analysis of JR\’s defense, calling it flawed.

\”When he says, \’I like Devon. I booked them. They made money off me.\’ That\’s not the argument he thinks it is. Because news flash, good old Jr., when Devon makes money, you make money. And booking was your job, whether you liked, disliked, or were indifferent to anybody,\” Maven explained.

D-Von was careful to clear other WWE officials, stating that Vince McMahon, Triple H, Michael Hayes, John Laurinaitis, and Pat Patterson were not the individuals he was referring to when he first revealed he faced racism as soon as he joined WWE.

Despite the allegations, D-Von expressed no desire for an apology or any form of reconciliation. \”The days of you needing anything from him are long gone. I love the fact that I\’ll never need anything from JR ever. And that said, I wish him nothing but the best.\”

Booker T has also weighed in, stating that while JR never said anything racist to him personally, he added that he knows \”Devon isn\’t a liar.\” Booker was recently named the greatest Black wrestler in history by BET.

  • Bruce Prichard Explains Why WWE Limits Matches On PLEs

WWE Executive Director Bruce Prichard has explained the company\’s philosophy behind limiting match counts on Premium Live Events, stating that \”ten matches on a card is hard to watch.\”

In 2025, WWE noticeably shifted its approach to Premium Live Events by producing shorter shows with fewer matches on the card. The change reflected a growing emphasis on quality over quantity, allowing matches more time to breathe and storylines to develop with greater focus. Rather than crowding events with filler bouts, WWE curated lineups that highlighted top stars and key rivalries, creating a more streamlined viewing experience. The move also aligned with evolving fan preferences for tighter runtimes and stronger pacing, while preserving the big-match feel that defines major WWE productions.

How WWE Books Premium Live Events

Speaking on his Something To Wrestle podcast, Prichard broke down why WWE has moved away from stacking PLEs with lengthy cards in the streaming era.

\”When you look at presentation and you put so many things in a ten-match card, at the end of the night, what do you remember? You\’re most likely going to remember the main event and the last match you saw,\” Prichard said.

\”There may have been a big angle in the third match and a hell of a match, but you\’ve forgotten because you\’ve seen so much other good, bad, and indifferent.\”

Prichard acknowledged the internal struggle of balancing quality with roster inclusion:

\”Less is more. But sometimes, you have to battle that demon of, \’Oh my God, we need to get more people on this. We\’ve got to get more people on—it\’s WrestleMania.\’\”

The shift to streaming has fundamentally changed how WWE approaches event construction.

\”The PLE/the streaming aspect of the business has changed that dynamic completely, because talent isn\’t paid on pay-per-view buys. There are no PPV buys. There\’s no real time allotment,\” Prichard explained.

He also noted that weekly television has become equally valuable:

\”Television is just as valuable as the PLEs now, with rights fees and everything else.\”

WWE currently produces approximately six hours of weekly main roster content between Raw and SmackDown, with most standard PLEs featuring around five matches.

  • WWE, ESPN Unveil Custom CFP Championship Belt with Nikki Bella at Fiesta Bowl

WWE and ESPN are expanding their partnership into the College Football Playoff with a custom CFP National Championship title belt set to debut tonight at the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl.

    https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTQLuuzER_g/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella will appear with the one-of-a-kind title on the sideline of the Miami vs. Ole Miss semifinal at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The appearance marks a homecoming for Bella, who was raised in Scottsdale and graduated from Chaparral High School. She served as Grand Marshal of the Fiesta Bowl Parade on January 3.

    https://www.facebook.com/reel/820618121034356

The custom belt features 136 diamonds representing each Division I FBS program, along with design elements inspired by Hard Rock Stadium and the host city of Miami, including palm trees and co-branded WWE/CFP imagery. Two ESPN CFP shields on the belt will be replaced with the logos of the teams competing in the National Championship game on January 19.

Fans attending Playoff Fan Central at the Miami Beach Convention Center from January 16-18 can interact with the belt and experience a WWE-style entrance, complete with music, lighting effects, smoke, and props.

The activation extends WWE and ESPN\’s relationship, which began a new chapter in September 2025 when ESPN became the exclusive U.S. home of WWE Premium Live Events as part of a five-year, $1.625 billion deal.

  • Nikki Bella Reportedly Dating Philadelphia Eagles Star Cooper DeJean

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella has reportedly been spending time with Philadelphia Eagles rookie cornerback Cooper DeJean, according to TMZ.

The 41-year-old wrestling star has been spotted on dates with the 21-year-old NFL player, though sources indicate Bella considers herself single and the relationship remains \’casual\’ at this stage.

TMZ noted that Bella has attended recent Eagles games, fueling speculation about the budding romance. DeJean, who was drafted 40th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft from the University of Iowa, is currently in his rookie season with the playoff-bound Eagles.

    Nikki Bella\’s Personal Life

The reported relationship comes months after Bella\’s divorce from Dancing with the Stars professional Artem Chigvintsev. She filed for divorce in September 2024 following Chigvintsev\’s arrest on felony domestic violence charges in August. The Napa County District Attorney later declined to file criminal charges. The former couple shares one son, Matteo, born in 2020.

Bella previously had a high-profile relationship with WWE superstar John Cena. The two dated from 2012 and became engaged in 2017, but called off their engagement in April 2018.

    Her Current WWE Run

On the wrestling front, Bella returned to WWE in September 2024 at Bash in Berlin and has been active on the Raw brand. She recently competed against Women\’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer at Survivor Series and in a three-way match also involving Raquel Rodriguez, with Vaquer retaining her title in both contests.

  • Jim Ross Returns to AEW Dynamite Commentary in Tulsa Tonight

Jim Ross is officially returning to the AEW commentary desk tonight for Dynamite from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, marking his first on-air appearance since mid-2025. The legendary WWE Hall of Famer\’s comeback follows a lengthy health-related absence, and AEW is positioning his return as a major selling point for the promotion\’s first significant episode of 2026.

Returning to his home state adds personal resonance to what AEW has billed as a loaded card. Alongside JR\’s return, tonight\’s show features a Lights Out tag team match pitting Swerve Strickland and Hangman Page against HOOK and Powerhouse Hobbs, plus a Continental Championship Eliminator match between Jon Moxley and Shelton Benjamin.

Ross\’ return is a promising sign that the beloved announcer who has battled a slew of health issues in recent years still has a few Slobberknockers left in him.

AEW Dynamite airs tonight at 8 PM ET on TBS and streams on MAX.

    • Continental Championship Eliminator: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Shelton Benjamin
    • ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Sammy Guevara

    • Six-Man Tag: Jack Perry & JetSpeed vs. The Demand
    • Live Segment: Willow Nightingale\’s TBS Championship Celebration

Lights Out Match: Adam Page & Swerve Strickland vs. The Opps

The uneasy alliance between \”Hangman\” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland faces its ultimate test tonight. Once bitter rivals whose feud involved arson, home invasions, and Texas Death Matches, they are now united by a common enemy: The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs & HOOK).

This is not a sanctioned wrestling match. The \”Lights Out\” stipulation implies that AEW cannot be held liable for the violence that ensues. While Page and Swerve banded together out of necessity to combat Samoa Joe\’s forces, tonight\’s no-rules environment plays to the violent strengths of both teams.

    • The Stakes: Survival. A loss here likely shatters the Page/Swerve alliance before it can truly begin.
    • Prediction: Expect weapons, blood, and absolute chaos. If Page and Swerve can avoid fighting each other, their combined violence should overcome the raw power of Hobbs.

Continental Title Eliminator: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Shelton Benjamin

Jon Moxley enters 2026 reborn as the AEW Continental Champion following his tournament run at Worlds End. Tonight, he faces Shelton Benjamin of the Hurt Syndicate in a Championship Eliminator match.

While Moxley is the brawler, Benjamin brings world-class amateur wrestling pedigree and raw power. The Hurt Syndicate (MVP and Bobby Lashley) will likely be lurking at ringside, potentially setting up a collision between the Death Riders and MVP\’s faction.

    • The Hook: If Benjamin wins, he earns a future title shot.
    • Key Stat: Moxley is 14-0 in 2025/26 when competing in opening matches.

ROH World Championship: Bandido (c) vs. Sammy Guevara

With a title defense against AEW World Champion MJF looming at Maximum Carnage next week, Bandido cannot afford to look past Sammy Guevara. The \”Spanish God\” is an AEW original who knows MJF better than almost anyone and is looking to spoil Bandido\’s momentum.

Expect a high-flying \”Lucha Libre\” style showcase. Guevara has been rebuilding his momentum since his return, and a win over the ROH Champion would catapult him back into the title picture.

    • The Narrative: Is Bandido\’s focus split between Guevara tonight and MJF next week?

TBS Champion Celebration & Other Action

    • Willow\’s Moment: New TBS Champion Willow Nightingale will address the fans following her historic victory over Mercedes Moné at New Year\’s Smash. This win ended the longest TBS title reign in history (585 days). Nightingale is now the first two-time champion, but with Mercedes likely invoking a rematch clause, the celebration may be short-lived.
    • Toni Storm vs. Marina Shafir: A grudge match stemming from Blood & Guts. Storm looks to settle the score after Shafir targeted her team during the cage match.
    • Jack Perry & JetSpeed vs. The Demand: \”The Scapegoat\” Jack Perry teams with the high-flying duo of Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey to take on the powerhouse trio of Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona.

    How to Watch AEW Dynamite

United States: Viewers can watch live on TBS starting at 8 PM ET. The show is also available via the TBS app with a cable login.

International: Fans outside the US can stream the show live on TrillerTV (formerly FITE) with an AEW Plus subscription.

Canada: The show airs live on TSN 2 and streams on the TSN+ app.
