When asked about a showdown with Ripley, Blanchard expressed admiration for the WWE star’s evolution.

“She’s phenomenal. I’ve watched some of her matches, and we actually did the first-ever Mae Young Classic for WWE together. But she was a different Rhea Ripley then. She was blonde hair, still tall, still built, still phenomenal in the ring.

But she has just transformed into this absolute powerhouse over there. So yeah, I would be down for that,” Blanchard remarked.

WWE fans may see former Divas Champion Michelle McCool return to action in the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble match. McCool, who retired in 2011, recently teased a potential one-off comeback through a Twitter post.

The speculation arose after McCool shared a fan-made graphic of potential entrants in this year’s Women’s Royal Rumble, which listed her at the #10 spot. While McCool has never pursued a full-time return to wrestling, the concept of a single appearance piqued her interest. In her tweet, McCool wrote:

\”REAL TALK – since retiring, I’ve never been in any ‘serious talks’ with anyone about another run….not saying it wouldn’t be nice?!?! Confident I can go, so here’s my question: All ya gotta do is ‘declare yourself’ these days for the Rumble?!? #FLAWLESS Sorry y’all, saw this & truly made me wonder! #wwe #royalrumble #isitreallythatsimple #whodoicall\”

McCool, who made a brief appearance on this week\’s SmackDown, was shown in the crowd during the broadcast. Notably, her husband, WWE legend The Undertaker, was also present at the event, though he remained backstage.

The Women’s Royal Rumble, now in its eighth year, has a history of welcoming returning legends. McCool’s potential involvement would be a major draw for fans eager to see the former champion back in action, even for just one night.

  • Rhea Ripley Teases WrestleMania Challenge and Royal Rumble Surprise

WWE Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley is back in her element, reclaiming her title and setting her sights on the next chapter of her dominant reign. At WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, Ripley successfully defended the WWE Women’s World Championship against Nia Jax, solidifying her status as a cornerstone of the women’s division.

In an exclusive post-match interview with Peter Rosenberg and Jackie Redmond, Ripley opened up about the significance of her win and the feeling of having the championship back in her possession. When asked if everything felt “as it should” now that she was champion again, Ripley responded with nostalgia:

“Yes, it does. It’s actually giving me flashbacks of Australia, of Elimination Chamber. Giving me good old flashbacks of 2024, 2023, before everything else happened.”

Ripley expressed how much she missed holding the championship, emphasizing its importance to her identity as a competitor:

“It’s always good to be on top, right? [Laughs] It feels fantastic. I’ve missed this championship, I’ve missed this Women’s World Championship. I was the first-ever Women’s World Champion, and I just feel like it belongs on my shoulder. It belongs in my bag, it belongs with me 24/7, so it’s real nice to be reunited.”

    Eyes on WrestleMania 41

As Ripley looks ahead, the road to WrestleMania and the upcoming Royal Rumble loom large. She acknowledged the growing pool of challengers vying for a shot at her title, but Ripley remains unfazed. Confident and ready for any opponent, she shared her mindset:

“I’ve had a lot of friends backstab me before, I’ve had a lot of family members backstab me before. At the end of the day, everyone wants that WrestleMania golden ticket, and I don’t blame them. It’s a massive opportunity, it’s what everyone works for. I have a target on my back, and I’m not gonna hide from that fact.”

Ripley firmly stated her intention to enter WrestleMania 41 as champion and issued a warning to her future opponent:

“Whoever stands across the ring from me, they’re gonna have to be ready for ‘Mami’ because at the end of the day, ‘Mami’ is always on top.”

A Hint at a Men’s Royal Rumble Entry?

Ripley also hinted at the possibility of entering the Men’s Royal Rumble, showcasing her unrelenting ambition and knack for breaking barriers.

As the champion reaffirms her position atop WWE’s women’s division, the anticipation builds for who will step up to challenge Ripley on her path to WrestleMania glory.

  • WWE 2K25 Teaser Hints at the Return of Chain Wrestling Feature

A newly released teaser for WWE 2K25 has sparked excitement among wrestling game enthusiasts, hinting at the return of the much-loved “Chain Wrestling” mechanic.

Originally introduced in earlier installments of the WWE 2K series, this gameplay feature adds a layer of strategic depth by allowing players to engage in seamless grappling transitions, reminiscent of real-life wrestling sequences.

The teaser video, shared on WWE Games’ official social media, is captioned with a chain and wrestling emojis, features Cody Rhodes talking about “the return of Ch…” before getting cut off by Drew McIntyre, who tells him not to give the big secrets away.

This mechanic was praised in past titles for its ability to replicate the technical nuances of professional wrestling. Its absence in more recent releases left fans nostalgic for the feature’s strategic gameplay and immersive feel.

Although the teaser did not confirm further gameplay specifics, the return of Chain Wrestling suggests that WWE 2K25 may prioritize realism and technical authenticity.

Fans have already begun speculating about additional enhancements, including expanded move sets and improvements to animations.

The WWE 2K franchise has worked to rebuild its reputation following a turbulent launch of WWE 2K20. With recent entries receiving praise for their polished mechanics and innovative modes, the development team appears to be doubling down on features that elevate the series’ authenticity.

During a chat with the Wrestling Classic, She praised the program for its emphasis on mentorship, stating that her matches are being reviewed by WWE legends like Sean “X-Pac” Waltman and Kenny Dykstra.

“I can say that our matches are being watched,” Steel said. “We found out recently, they’re like, ‘Oh, X-Pac can now watch your match and give you guys critiques.’ I’m like, ‘What the f—.’ So him, Kenny Dykstra, who works closely with Triple H, literally in the offices. • Rey vs. Dominik: Who’s the Greatest Mysterio of All Time?

Dominik Mysterio, the son of WWE legend Rey Mysterio, has made a bold claim, declaring himself the \”greatest Mysterio of all time.\” In an interview with The Babyfaces Podcast, Dominik shared his thoughts on surpassing his father’s legacy and his journey in WWE. The rising star also reflected on key moments in his father’s career, his own achievements, and the family dynamic that continues to fuel one of WWE\’s most engaging storylines.

Dominik confidently stated, “I’m the greatest Mysterio of all time… I’m four years in, and I’m already better than my old man in every way, shape, and form.”

Despite being just four years into his wrestling career, Dominik believes he has outshined Rey Mysterio, who is celebrated as a pioneer of the cruiserweight division and a global icon in the sport. Dominik’s audacious remarks are part of his ongoing persona as the arrogant antagonist who constantly challenges his father’s storied legacy.

The younger Mysterio also spoke about Rey’s 2006 Royal Rumble victory.

“One of my favorite Rumbles is when my deadbeat unfortunately won,” Dominik said, noting that he had hoped Randy Orton would secure the win instead. Dominik went on to liken Rey to a “deadbeat,” a term he has repeatedly used in his heel promos.

Looking ahead, Dominik aims to further establish his own name and legacy, especially as he gears up for next weekend’s Royal Rumble premium live event. His steady rise in WWE, coupled with his ongoing rivalry with his father, has created a compelling narrative that continues to captivate fans.

Dominik Mysterio’s self-proclaimed title as the greatest Mysterio adds another layer to this family feud, keeping audiences invested in the evolving storyline that blends personal drama with professional ambition.

    Analyzing Dominik’s Claim

While Dominik’s confidence is undeniable, Rey Mysterio Jr.\’s accolades far exceed his son’s. Rey’s Hall of Fame career spans decades, featuring multiple championship wins, iconic matches, and a reputation as one of the greatest high-flyers in wrestling history. This comparison, however, is inherently flawed given their differing stages in their careers.

Despite this, the Mysterios have achieved history together as the first father-son duo to win WWE Tag Team Championship gold. However, their relationship has since fractured, culminating in one of WWE’s most captivating storylines. To evaluate Dominik’s claim of being the “greatest Mysterio,” let’s take a closer look at their encounters in the ring.

    Tag Team History

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/01/\"Rey
Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik during happier times

Before their rivalry, Rey and Dominik shared a historic moment by becoming the first father-son duo to win WWE Tag Team Championships. The pair captured the SmackDown Tag Team titles at WrestleMania Backlash in 2021 and held them for 63 days before losing to The Usos.

    Rivalry Origins

The father-son feud began at Clash at the Castle on September 3, 2022, when Dominik shockingly turned on Rey following their match. This betrayal not only marked Dominik’s alignment with The Judgment Day but also set the stage for an intense family rivalry.

    Singles Matches

    https://media.sescoops.com/uploads/2025/01/\"Dominik
Dominik Mysterio slaps his father Rey Mysterio
    1. WrestleMania 39 (April 1, 2023)
Rey Mysterio defeated Dominik in their first major singles confrontation. The match was a spectacle featuring interference from The Judgment Day and Latino World Order, with Bad Bunny playing a key role in the outcome.
    2. RAW (July 1, 2024)
Rey once again triumphed over Dominik during an episode of RAW, proving his dominance in their ongoing feud.
    3. WWE Live Holiday Tour (December 28, 2024)
Their latest encounter saw Rey emerge victorious during the WWE Live Holiday Tour, further solidifying his superiority in singles competition.

    Conclusion

Dominik Mysterio’s claim of being the “greatest Mysterio of all time” is ambitious, but it underscores his determination to step out of his father’s shadow and build his own legacy. • Conor McGregor Says UFC Shut Down Logan Paul Boxing Match Idea

Conor McGregor recently shared insights into a hypothetical boxing match with Logan Paul during an interview with The Schmo. While the fight never materialized, McGregor explained the reasoning behind the idea, referring to it as a “business savvy” move during his downtime from the UFC.

“It was business savvy and business sense to make the fight happen. Or should I say the glorified spar happen,” McGregor said.

“In between this wait… before I can get back to the Octagon, it made perfect sense on the calendar to go ahead with it. The UFC weren’t into it. I’m not sure the WWE, what their interest was. I just knew the UFC weren’t into it.”

McGregor has not competed since suffering a broken leg in July 2021 against Dustin Poirier. Although his return was planned for a bout against Michael Chandler—promoted heavily on WWE Raw—it was delayed due to a toe injury.

In addition to addressing the Logan Paul fight, McGregor has also pitched a “TKO KING TITLE,” a concept he previously tied to an abandoned matchup with Jake Paul. While neither fight came to fruition, McGregor’s comments underline his ongoing ability to generate interest, even in hypothetical bouts.

  • Fraxiom Makes History with NXT Title Defense on TNA Impact

In a historic moment for professional wrestling, the January 23, 2025 episode of TNA Impact featured the first-ever defense of a WWE-sanctioned championship on TNA programming. NXT Tag Team Champions Fraxiom (Nathan Frazer & Axiom) successfully retained their titles against The Rascalz (Trey Miguel & Zachary Wentz) in a match that showcased the growing collaboration between WWE and TNA Wrestling.

Fraxiom secured the victory with a dynamic Flying Spanish Fly and Phoenix Splash combination on Miguel, but the finish wasn’t without controversy. Wes Lee, along with Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe, interfered by taking out Wentz, creating a critical opening for the champions to retain their titles.

This groundbreaking match was made possible by the multi-year partnership between WWE and TNA, announced on January 16, 2025. The agreement allows talent from NXT and TNA to appear on each other’s programming and premium live events, ending decades of rivalry between the promotions.

    Mance Warner Makes TNA Debut

  • Mance Warner Makes TNA Debut

Mance Warner has officially debuted in TNA Wrestling alongside Steph DeLander, who had the TNA Digital Media championship with her.

This surprise debut follows a controversial series of events, including former champion PCO’s actions at GCW’s The People vs. GCW event, where he destroyed a replica of the championship belt with a sledgehammer.

Since his debut in 2015, Warner has become a well-recognized name in independent wrestling. He has claimed numerous championships (GCW, AAW, CZW), solidifying his reputation as a top-tier performer.

    TNA Digital Media Championship Controversy

The TNA Digital Media Championship storyline escalated after PCO’s dramatic outburst at The People vs. GCW on January 19, 2025. PCO, whose contract with TNA had ended in late 2024, destroyed what appeared to be the championship title and delivered a scathing promo against TNA before being cut off.

TNA responded swiftly, removing PCO from their roster and distancing the promotion from his actions.

    Warner’s Role in TNA

Warner’s arrival coincides with significant changes in TNA Wrestling, including the company’s recently announced multi-year partnership with WWE, which allows for talent crossover opportunities.

Making his TNA debut alongside Steph DeLander, Warner enters the promotion as part of a new power couple in wrestling, generating considerable buzz among fans.

With Warner’s history of success and a high-profile entrance into TNA, expectations are high for his contributions to the promotion’s evolving landscape.

  • Bad Bunny on WWE Dreams, Puerto Rican Pride, and the Perfect Entrance Song

Global music icon and Grammy winner Bad Bunny is known for breaking boundaries in both music and entertainment. On a recent episode of Hot Ones, the Puerto Rican superstar sat down with Sean Evans to tackle spicy wings while sharing captivating insights into his WWE journey, cultural representation, and the unforgettable moments that defined his wrestling appearances.

From his passion for the squared circle to his pride in showcasing Puerto Rican culture on a global stage, Bad Bunny’s WWE appearances are far more than celebrity cameos—they’re a love letter to his heritage and a testament to his dedication.

    The Perfect WWE Entrance

One of the standout moments of Bad Bunny’s WWE career was his electrifying entrance at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico, where he walked out to his hit song “Chambea.” Bunny revealed that he had envisioned using the track for years.

“Since the first time that I dreamed of being in WWE, I always knew that [‘Chambea’] was the perfect song,” he explained. “When they went to Puerto Rico, I said everyone in Puerto Rico knows this song, and it’s going to be like shaking the stadium.”

Learning the Ropes and Iconic WWE Moments

Bad Bunny’s dedication to his WWE appearances goes far beyond entrances. He committed to intense training to ensure his in-ring performances were nothing short of spectacular. One of his most iconic moments came at WrestleMania 37, where he executed a flawless Canadian Destroyer, which was later dubbed the “Bunny Destroyer.”

“That was a John Morrison idea,” Bunny said. “He was like, ‘You should do the Canadian Destroyer, and we’ll call it the Bunny Destroyer.’ We practiced it, and I really learned a lot from him, Damian Priest, and all the guys coaching me.”

Not everything about his WWE experience came easy, though. Bunny recalled a painful initiation courtesy of Damian Priest during training.

“Damian Priest hit me with the kendo stick. I always heard people say, ‘Oh, the kendo stick doesn’t hurt.’ That hurt. Like, a lot,” he laughed.

Sean Evans couldn’t resist praising Bad Bunny’s wrestling skills, declaring him “the best celebrity wrestler ever in WWE.” Bunny modestly replied, “That’s your opinion?” to which Evans insisted, “No, it’s a fact.” Bunny cheekily agreed, “I think that’s true.”
