  • Kris Statlander is “Scarred Up” from AEW Blood and Guts Bed of Nails Fall

Kris Statlander was part of one of the more widely talked about bumps from the inaugural AEW women’s Blood and Guts match and recently pulled back the curtain on some aspects of that maneuver. The AEW women’s world champion discussed this bed of nails spot during an interview with David Shoemaker and Brian H. Waters on The Masked Man Show.

Touching on the moment where she took a fall spine first into the nail bed, Statlander said [h/t WrestlePurists],

Honestly, it was kind of shocking. It was just like, ‘Oh, I’m on a bed of nails at this point.’ Then I remember I rested my head for a second and I was like, ‘Well, there’s a nail in the back of my head. Let me pick my head up.’ Then here comes Marina, then she walked away.”

“I tried to relax for a second again, then I felt a nail in the back of my head. I was like, ‘Nope, what are you doing? There’s a nail in your head right now.’ It wasn’t the most comfortable thing I’ve ever lain down on.”

“I remember I saw some people talking about it online, and they were saying, ‘Oh, when the nails are that close together, it doesn’t actually puncture the skin.’ I was like, ‘The nails are not that close together. These nails are in my back right now.’

Kris Statlander “I am scarred up right now” post-AEW Blood and Guts

It was quite a blow to take ahead of her high stakes title defense at AEW Full Gear against TBS champion Mercedes Mone this weekend and as she kept delving into the fall into the nails, Kris Statlander continued,

“And that’s why I posted a picture of what my back looked like online. I was like, ‘Yes, there is a physical way to make it happen where if it’s really dense, sure, it won’t puncture you as much.”

“But this is not that.’ Those nails were in my back. They were in my head. I am scarred up right now from it.”

  • Kyle Fletcher Can Break AEW Record Set by Cody Rhodes at Full Gear

Kyle Fletcher is currently tied with Cody Rhodes for a particular record in All Elite Wrestling but the former could potentially usurp the latter this weekend. At AEW Full Gear 2025, Fletcher will defend his TNT championship against Mark Briscoe and he can enter unprecedented territory if he does get his ideal outcome on Saturday. Right now the Don Callis family member is tied with Cody Rhodes for consecutive defenses of the TNT championship across a single reign, with both being tied at eight defenses apiece.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZ7veSmq3vY

While speaking with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Fletcher touched on that looming chance to cement himself in the history books and it seems to create a multiplicity of emotions for him. While Fletcher did mention some level of imposter syndrome associated with leaping over former TNT champions like Miro and Darby Allin, Kyle Fletcher also was able to puff his chest out a bit. The TNT champion felt like accomplishing something that puts him above Cody Rhodes, who Fletcher said was probably the number one star in pro wrestling today is ‘very reassuring to me.’

Kyle Fletcher responds to Stevie Richards’ claims that Logan Paul is better than everyone in AEW

Kyle Fletcher recently fired back at Stevie Richards as the former WWE and ECW performer made some pretty big claims about Logan Paul’s abilities relative to many of his more experienced peers. The former WWE United States champion was described by Richards as being better than the entire AEW roster, and Richards also quipped that Paul was better than 98 percent of the performers contracted to WWE right now.

In the aforementioned interview with TMZ, Fletcher mentioned that he did not know if Richards was making these comments in a wholehearted way. While the TNT champion mentioned everyone is entitled to their opinion, Fletcher also described Richards’ opinion as ‘bulls**t’ in this particular context.

Fletcher felt like it was such an absurd thing to say considering the depth of incredible matches AEW has to the scale that he feels like he has a new match of the year contender with every subsequent week Fletcher sees All Elite Wrestling programming. Kyle Fletcher pointedly said he wasn’t trying to hate on Logan Paul and that the influencer was doing great things in the ring, but clearly there was vehement disagreement with Richards’ take there.

  • Update on Chris Jericho\’s Recent Praise of TNA Wrestling

Chris Jericho made some waves with his recent comments regarding attendance dynamics between both TNA and AEW which had a well known pro wrestling journalist thinking that might be Jericho waving goodbye to All Elite Wrestling at this juncture. This took place on a Talk is Jericho episode where the titular figure had The Hardy Boyz and The Dudleys to discuss their final match at TNA Bound for Glory.

The former WWE and AEW champion touted the high attendance figures for TNA’s big tentpole show and said it looked like a WWE-level show and then compared AEW’s tapings at the ECW Arena to being comparable to a Tony Condello taping.

Dave Meltzer recently delved into these comments made by Jericho and offered his insights into what it could all mean going forward. Via WOR, Meltzer said [h/t Wrestle Purists],

“Bound For Glory looked good on TV, but Arena Mexico three times a week looks better than that, louder than that…. AAA, Triplemania, the Juan de la Barrera shows, they’re hotter.”

“New Japan, Tokyo Dome. Come on. AEW, every pay-per-view looks as hot as that. At best, they looked like the number five promotion in the world for Bound For Glory.”

Dave Meltzer agrees with Chris Jericho’s comments on the AEW crowd at the ECW Arena

While obviously taking issues with some of the comments from Chris Jericho, the journalist did also tip his cap a bit to some aspects of what the Canadian performer is doing to create discourse around his contract situation, as Meltzer continued [h/t Wrestle Purists],

“It did look better than AEW when they were at the 2300 Arena. That’s true. Chris is a smart guy, and I’m sure he’s got his game plan. I’m not sure I know fully what it is, but it got a lot of people talking.”

“It was interesting. When I first heard it, it felt like he was giving notice to AEW, but I don’t know if that’s the case, because I don’t know what he’s thinking right now.”

Whether Jericho goes back to AEW and continues to carve a legacy out where he established himself as the promotion’s inaugural men’s champion or if he returns to WWE for a big comeback pop, Jericho clearly has fans talking and speculating.

  • MVP: “I See A Bright Future for Kyle Fletcher”

MVP has quite the eye for talent, even through the lens of surrounding himself with the likes of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, and he is clearly quite impressed by the reigning TNT champion. This was expressed by the managerial branch of the Hurt Syndicate via an interview with Adventure Gamers.

When asked what he thinks about Fletcher’s run with the TNT championship so far, MVP said,

“I think Kyle’s brilliant. He’s a brilliant kid. He looks like a star. He gets it. He presents himself as a star and he has a huge upside, his aptitude.”

“And whenever I happen to run into him and he asks for insight or asks for an opinion on his match, you can see him make the adjustments.”

“He doesn’t just ask for the sake of doing it to score points with veterans or whatever. He does it because he genuinely wants to improve his game.”

“So I think during his title run, he’s represented himself exceptionally well during this run. And I see a bright future for Kyle Fletcher.”

MVP signs new long term contract with AEW

Montel Vontavious Porter was asked a follow up quesiton in the same interview if he ever fancied a one-on-one match with Fletcher. MVP joked that he wasn’t sure if he could keep up with the kid, that he’d have to take him down to slow the pace of everything, and offered up the classic bit of advice that if you think you’re going too slow, go slower.

That being said, MVP will have ample opportunities to throw down with whoever as he has been locked into a longer term contractual agreement with All Elite Wrestling. Obviously that covers his usual management role but also leaves things open to singles action and MVP also has a level of focus on winning the AEW Trios titles someday alongside Lashley and Benjamin.

Regardless of what all of that specifcially looks like, fans can eagerly follow along with the week to week journey of Montel Vontavious Porter on AEW broadcasts for a while to come.

  • Hangman Page Uses the Term AEW Men’s Title To Create a New Hierarchy and Better Wrestling World

Hangman Page stands atop the men’s ranks in All Elite Wrestling but wants to do his part to make sure the women’s championship receives a commensurate amount of respect as a title belt.

This was discussed by Adam Page during a recent interview with ESPN 99.9 The Fan and was among many subjects that were touched upon. Hangman Page was speaking with Chris Lea and Dennis Cox ahead of not just his match against Powerhouse Hobbs at AEW Blood & Guts but also prior to Page defending his world title versus Samoa Joe at AEW Full Gear. The men’s world title match is a high stakes affair with one of AEW’s big tentpole events also featuring a massive matchup for the AEW women’s title.

Giving a cursory bit of wrestling history to illustrate why he thinks it’s on the antiquated side to not also promote women in an equal way to how the male wrestlers are positioned on the cards, Page said,

“The men’s division, you know, it’s largely separated by sex, gender, the men’s division has been billed as the world champions. That is the person you’re coming to the arena to see. That’s the world champion.”

“Then women’s wrestling, as it gained steam historically, created a separate championship that is the women’s world championship.”

“To me, that always seemed like if you have to specify that one’s for the women and the other one is the world championship, it feels like you created this hierarchy.”

“where you’re telling the viewers and the audience that one of them is more important than the other. I don’t think that that’s how our fans feel any longer.”

Hangman Page wants to make changes in the wrestling world that represent how he thinks things should be

As the multi-time AEW men’s champion further expounded upon his logic in this particular context, Hangman Page continued,

“I feel like specifying myself as men’s world champion, just in the opportunities that I get to speak about the championship or being champion throughout my career, I think specifying that maybe kind of, it just asks people to stop and think.”

“whether it’s fans, the audience, or whether it’s people involved in wrestling, decision-makers, or the wrestlers themselves, I’ve tried to do that.”

“I’ve always tried to exude small little changes in the world that I’m involved in. To make the world more representative of how I feel like it truly is or should be. That’s been something I’ve tried to do.”

  • Harley Cameron on Debut Match With Ex-WWE Star Scarlett: “I Was Instantly Hooked”

Harley Cameron has been finding her stride in the professional wrestling world lately but the beginning of her journey served as a way to indicate she would go on to achieve big things. Cameron’s debut in-ring effort came against former WWE star Scarlett and Cameron delved into this anecdote during an appearance on Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze.

Touching upon her first pro wrestling match against someone who has risen to be a notable star in their own right, Cameron said,

“I do remember my first match. It went 13 minutes, I don’t know how, and the feedback afterwards was pretty long. It was against Scarlett Bordeaux actually, at Wrestle Pro, run by Kevin and Pat.”

“It was Scarlett’s first time back on the independent scene when they first left WWE, and she was a friend of mine.”

“[she] did me a favour and said ‘I’m about to have my first match back on the independent scene, and I want it to be with you.’ It was very nice of her, obviously I was so excited, but terrified.”

“I still remember, sometimes I like to watch it back to appreciate how far I’ve come, but also for a good laugh if you want to check it out you’ll see how green I was. If you think I’m green now, fuck guys, check it out.”

“But that was my first start, and I remember it went 13 minutes, and I was instantly hooked. Then my second match of my life was on AEW Dark.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNyoFQ0l2HA

Harley Cameron and when she asked for help ahead of one of her biggest matches

Harley Cameron has had several notable matches since that Scarlett debut and the former had to look for some help ahead of a particularly big bout earlier in 2025. In February at AEW Grand Slam Australia, Cameron took on TBS champion Mercedes Mone and the build up to the Mone bout was intensive.

Cameron mentioned, during the same podcast interview referenced above, that several private sessions were had with her coaches amid constant brainstorming efforts regarding potential spots for the Mone matchup. The refinement processes were in the pursuit of being so thorough about everything that Cameron could take solace in the performance being representative of the best she was able to do.

Despite taking a loss against Ultimo Mone in the first quarter of the calendar year, it was clearly a big growth moment for Harley Cameron who is currently in pursuit of AEW women’s tag team gold along with tag partner Willow Nightingale.

  • Ken Anderson Teases AEW Run, Eyes \’Edgier\’ Creative Freedom

Mr. Kennedy drew a unique comparison between the heel heat JBL was able to get in Italy as a diametrically opposed reaction to how Bad Bunny was received in Puerto Rico.

As he expounded upon this JBL and Bad Bunny binary of crowd reactions, Mr Kennedy said [h/t 99.9 Punk World Radio FM’s Elite Wrestle Talk],

“I have been in countries around the world with JBL, I have never experienced the type of heat he generated. The boos would make your skin rumble, it was so loud, so deafening.”

“We were in Italy one night, and I was injured. I tore my Lat earlier in the tour, so they were having me announce the main event. The main event that night was JBL vs. Mark Henry.”

“They had me announce JBL, and he started singing America the Beautiful, and he sang it terribly, completely off key, and all at once you hear the crowd start this, they were chanting almost.”

“It just got louder and louder, and they were singing their own national anthem, and the building was rumbling, it was such a cool experience.”

“It was the opposite of, you ever see when Bad Bunny came to the ring in Puerto Rico? It was the opposite of that. The heat version of that.

Mr. Kennedy open to an AEW move someday

Mr. Kennedy does not seem opposed to the idea of embarking on another big tenure in a major wrestling company after big past splashes in WWE as well as TNA. An intrigue regarding adding All Elite Wrestling to his story was expressed by Mr. Kennedy in the referenced interview above. The former multi-time TNA champion mentioned that he does still have gas in the tank and has a desire to still entertain the masses.

Mr. Kennedy also mentioned that he felt like when he entered the business as a performer, the industry largely moved out of the kind of storytelling that was emblematic of the Attitude Era. Kennedy mentioned that AEW seemed to be engaging in what he saw as edgier content and felt like that kind of creative freedom isn’t something he ever really got to tap into during his prior efforts as a professional wrestler.

Kennedy also has a role in training the likes of Julia Hart, as well as Dante and Darius Martin, with a professed desire to collaborate with them on something. It remains to be seen if we see a more macabre version of Mr. Kennedy come out with Julia Hart but the idea of Kennedy coming over to AEW would undoubtedly draw the intrigue of several fans within the wrestling world.

  • Adam Cole Health Update Given Amid AEW Hiatus

Adam Cole has been on the sidelines since July dealing with his health situation and it seems like there’s an update on his situation. At AEW All In, Cole addressed the live crowd about health concerns he was dealing with that would put him out of action for the foreseeable. Cole was then the TNT champion and vacated the belt during his deeply emotional moment with the live audience and fans globally watching the broadcast.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful addressed this during a Q&A session he was conducting and touched on a question that someone had regarding Adam Cole’s current status in AEW. Sapp mentioned Cole was still dealing with residual issues from a concussion he suffered. While there are not creative plans for Cole at this juncture, for obvious reasons, it is said that Tony Khan quite likes Cole and wants to keep him involved in the All Elite Wrestling fold for as long as possible. That being said, there is nothing mapped out in any kind of definitive way.

Adam Cole’s current status touched upon by long time peer

On the AEW Unrestricted podcast, Kyle O’Reilly mentioned that Adam Cole is far from retiring from professional wrestling, just that the priority has to be on his recovery right now. As O’Reilly delved into the specifics of the Cole situation at this time, O’Reilly stated [via SK Wrestling],

“We just have so much love for each other. It’s unfortunate that it had to sort of — not end the way it did, because nothing’s ever over… But it’s just such a sad and unfortunate circumstance that happened at All In.”

“But… I’m really proud of Adam [Cole] for making that call and for being the stand-up guy that he is and for taking his health into account and for starting that process of getting well again.”

“It’s huge and I’m just forever proud of him and grateful that we got to do that again together.”

  • Logan Paul Blasts the UFC Run of CM Punk

Logan Paul does not have a great deal of reverence for CM Punk’s efforts in the world of mixed martial arts. Both Paul and Punk have been on tumultuous terms with one another as of late with a hectic shifting of fortunes taking place on the last WWE Raw episode. On November 3rd, Paul came to Punk’s aid to begin the show as the WWE world heavyweight champion was being attacked by the likes of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

By the time the show was closing out, the former WWE US champion ended up striking Punk with brass knuckles and left him lying. In a vlog that was posted by the former influencer boxer addressing the latest happenings for him in the world of WWE, Paul said,

“My theory is, if a guy who is 0-2 in the UFC has that title, and I beat Floyd Mayweather, why can’t I get that title? That’s why I’m here.”

To get technical with it, Punk’s UFC record is 0-1 with one no-contest. While he did initially lose to Mike Jackson, the win was eventually overturned at a later juncture when Jackson failed a drug test for cannabis.

Also of note, Paul and Mayweather’s exhibition boxing bout categorically did not have a winner by virtue of it being an exhibition. But the boxing bout did go the full distance which Paul has seemed to take as a victory.

Logan Paul previously claimed CM Punk ruined his UFC dreams

Logan Paul saying less than flattering things about CM Punk’s efforts in shoot fighting has been a broader theme outside of things that have transpired just this week. These comments made the rounds in the early part of the second quarter of this year as Paul lamented about his lack of UFC opportunity being tied to how Punk performed in the octagon.

The comments in question saw Paul state [via FandomWire],

“He f***ed it up. He f***ed it up and after that Dana was like ‘I’m never doing this again.’ But dude, I’m not CM Punk. He’s a great wrestler, not a UFC fighter. I think I would be a much better UFC fighter than I would be just a boxer. My skill is wrestling. I’m a wrestler.”

With both UFC and WWE being under that broader TKO umbrella, who’s to say maybe someday in this wacky world we don’t also get a shoot fight going between Logan Paul and CM Punk.

  • John Cena Celebrates Anniversary of Pro Wrestling Debut on The Road to Big WWE Retirement

The final run of John Cena has been one of the massive focal points in the world of pro wrestling for 2025 but on this day, the prolific star made his in-ring debut. This took place on November 5th, 1999 as Cena wrestled under the moniker The Prototype. Over a quarter of a century ago, Cena debuted in a two on one handicap match as The Prototype defeated Jobbers-R-Us which was a team comprised of Funky Billy Kim and Troubled Youth. This took place at UPW Entertainment Overload which emanated from the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana, California.

Those in attendance at that show saw the birth of one of the most notable professional wrestling legacies of all time and certainly saw the beginning of the rise of one of this generation\’s most prolific performers. The former 17 time world champion has such a massive presence in the space that even some current WWE performers don’t buy that he is going to hang up the boots ala Rusev during a recent interview with Shakiel Mahjouri at SHAK Wrestling.

Only time will tell how that all shakes out but WWE is still carrying forward with this tournament field to determine Cena’s final opponent to close out 2025 all the same.

First two matches announced for the John Cena Last Time Is Now tournament

To be the final in-ring adversary of John Cena holds a lot of legacy related weight for people and two marquee match ups have been announced in this Last Time Is Now Tournament. On the upcoming episode of WWE Raw set for November 10th, the aforementioned Rusev will take on Damian Priest while Shinsuke Nakamura and Sheamus will do battle.

General Manager Adam Pearce announced the pair of match ups on the last episode of WWE Raw from earlier this week. Both former WWE world heavyweight champion Priest and former NJPW titleholder Nakamura will also be making their return to the red brand here after both men have embarked on recent SmackDown tenures.

Speaking of the blue brand, Nick Aldis will be announcing another pair of matches for this Last Time is Now tournament on the looming episode of SmackDown on Friday.

  • Grayson Waller Dislikes “Soft” CM Punk: “The Real Punk’s Hiding in There”

Grayson Waller is quite keen on a showdown with CM Punk and wants to tap into a dormant force within the WWE world heavyweight champion. Appearing on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, when Waller was asked who he hasn’t had a one-on-one match with yet that he would want to work with, Grayson Waller said,

“Yeah, I’ve said it a few times now. I’m going to keep saying it. Like right now, I want [CM] Punk. I want Punk so bad, dude. Cuz like, as I said, as an ROH guy, I’ve watched Punk for a long time.”

Grayson Waller continued, “I love the stuff he did in Ring of Honor. I loved when he signed his WWE contract on a Ring of Honor Championship. Like, that’s so good.”

“When he came back, cuz I said some really mean things about Punk when he wasn’t here. If you remember, I took a super kick from Jey Uso and it was the day that Punk left his last job.”

“I took a super kick and I put a photo online of me icing my jaw with a Pepsi can. Which was just like I; some times I like to have fun online and cause some chaos.”

“So when he was coming over here I was like this is going to be fun. Like what Punk are we going to get? And then we’ve got this like real soft Punk I think. So I’m like, I want to find out who the real Punk is.”

Grayson Waller on CM Punk: “I was ready to fight him backstage”

When CVV asked the follow up question of ‘soft in what way?’, Grayson Waller explained,

“Yeah, like so I’ll give some examples. Like I go to NXT last year and he’s there with Fraxiom watching their match back, giving them some advice and then Roxanne’s there and he’s like, “Hey Waller, you want to come watch this match?” and I’m like “What do you mean?”.

“Like he’s really helpful backstage and he’s super nice and all this and I’m like I’m either going to be really disappointed that he’s like softened.”

“this is the new Punk and he’s just like a really nice guy now or the real Punk’s hiding in there and I want to be the one to bring it out.”

“That’s what I want to do cuz it’s like I guess; I was ready to fight him backstage. I thought that was what we were going to do. I was like this is going to be sick. Like he’s going to start causing chaos.”

“Like he’s going to beat up little flops backstage again. Like I’m in dude. But no, he’s just like a really nice guy and very helpful to everyone and helps everyone at NXT and does all this and I’m like that’s not the Punk that I love.”

“And I’m like I want to bring it back out. So I’m going to get that opportunity. And I’ve told him to his face. I’m like there’s going to be a day where I’m going to stand across from you with a microphone.”

“I’m going to tell you exactly what I think about you and I want you to tell me exactly what you think about me.”

“And I think that’s going to be magic cuz I don’t think we’ve seen like NXT Waller on the main roster yet. I’ve had a lot of fun.”

“And I’m being very fun, but I don’t think they’ve seen how mean I can be, how cruel I can be, and how like when I really like when I really lock in on something, like I’m a different breed.”

“And I don’t think I’ve been that recently. I can feel it. Like just talking about it right now, I can feel it inside. Like that’s what I need. If you want to see a different side of me, like put me against that guy. I’ll show you like the real me.”

  • Konosuke Takeshita Booked for Huge Wrestle Kingdom 20 Double Title Match

Konosuke Takeshita looms large over New Japan Pro Wrestling already but he has a chance in the coming months to add another championship title to his NJPW legacy. This will transpire at Wrestle Kingdom 20 with the IWGP heavyweight champion, Takeshita, indicating who he wants to face on January 4th after a rthe New Japan figurehead and stalwart ace will retirethe Don Callis family got on the micropbuilding quite a resume outside of the All Elite Wrestling sphere.ki Goto in Gifu at the Hiroshi Tanahashi Final Homecoming card.

Takeshita was eventually greeted by IWGP Global Champion Yota Tas Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada have had friction with one anotherboth men agreeing to put their belts on the line in a champ vs. champ fight as we encroach upon 2026. Tsuji bested Hiroshi Tanahashi in the penultimate matchup of that referenced event. In referencing Tanahashi once again, the New Japan figurehead and stalwart ace figure will retire from professional wrestling.

Just a few weeks out from capturing the coveted IWGP crown from Zack Sabre Jr., Takeshita seems keen on building up a deeper resume of successful title defenses to cement himself into the history books even more. Konosuke Takeshita notched the first official defense of his IWGP crown when he connected on Goto with a Raging Fire and would presumably want to keep the flame alive at the Tokyo Dome on January 4th.

NJPW made this Wrestle Kingdom main event official over the weekend and this high stakes clash between two titleholders certainly has some of that blockbuster, marquee value that’s expected from New Japan Pro Wrestling’s big annual tentpole event.

Konosuke Takeshita sends a succinct message after his IWGP title defense

Konosuke Takeshita has a massive legacy in the pro wrestling space with the former AEW international champion building quite the resume outside of the All Elite Wrestling sphere. Takeshita took to social media after his victory over the weekend to send out a brief yet authoritative message regarding his enduring status as the IWGP champion when he took to his X page and stated,

    “Still!!!!”

Though he seems to be in some dysfunction in the Don Callis family as Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada have friction with one another on AEW television, Takeshita is thriving at the top of the New Japan Pro Wrestling mountain, a position Okada himself once held.

  • Booker T Wants Mercedes Moné in Reality of Wrestling: “We’ll even put the title on you”

Booker T is so keen to have Mercedes Moné in Reality of Wrestling, he would even be willing to give her a shot at adding another belt to her already unprecedented collection of pro wrestling hardware. On his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T was interacting with his co-host Brad Gilmore with the latter asking a fan question regarding if the former multi-time WCW champion would ever be interested in having Mercedes Moné compete for his Reality of Wrestling Promotion.

The AEW TBS champion, who will soon be seeking the AEW strap, has been steadily collecting belts from a variety of independent promotions as of late and it seems to have a demonstrably positive effect on the business that those companies are doing. When asked if he would let Moné compete for the Reality of Wrestling crown, Booker T said,

“Yeah, without even a shadow of a doubt, without even thinking about it. She want to come to Reality of Wrestling, drop me a line. Shoot, we’ll get you in.”

“You know what I mean? We’ll even put the title on you… Look here [laughs]. Moné, want the Reality of Wrestling titles? Come on down here and get them.”

“Okay? You know, no problem. Look, I’ll sign it right now. I’ll sign it right now. You know what I mean?”

Booker T is training the child of a WWE legend at his ROW school

Booker T has many branches to his Reality of Wrestling brand and the daughter of former WWE champion Eddie Guerrero is getting in work at his pro wrestling training school. Sherilyn Guerrero is getting in work at the ROW training facility and the daughter of Eddie Guerrero cutting her teeth there was spotlighted by Reality of Wrestling, and Guerrero herself, on social media recently.

The ROW school has generated some big name talents like Roxanne Perez and it will be interesting to see how the young Guerrero does in honing her skills under the guidance of Booker T going forward. Tying things together with Mercedes Mone with her well documented admiration of ‘Latino Heat’ in the context of pro wrestling being a medium where you can book some fairly unorthodox matches if you’re inclined, who’s to say we can’t potentially get a Moné vs. Guerrero match years down the line?

  • Logan Paul Called Out by Michael Chandler for Summerslam 2026

Logan Paul is someone who gets frequently called out and the brash influencer turned WWE performer has a former UFC title challenger wanting to lock up with him inside the WWE ring. That was expressed by Michael Chandler who recently appeared on Insight with Chris Van Vliet to cover several subjects.

Touching on his UFC specific aspirations, the former multi-time Bellator MMA champion was discussing his desire to get on that UFC White House card next year. Chandler has often mentioned wanting that big pay day fight with Conor McGregor as far as who his desired opponent for the June 2026 tentpole event would be. But ‘Iron’ Michael has also kept things open to fight whoever, as he feels like he can electrify the crowd in a show that imparts a sense of partisan spirit for an event aligned with celebrating American independence.

After Chandler touched upon that desire though, Van Vliet mentioned that maybe WWE will be the next move after that White House clash for the MMA star. CVV broke down how Chandler could definitely succeed in WWE based on his look, mic skills, and athletic attributes. This comment came after an earlier portion of the interview which was centred on Michael Chandler’s passion for WWE as a kid and how his love for pro wrestlign is higher now than it ever has been.

Responding to Van Vliet’s idea that perhaps a pivot to some WWE action could possibly be in the cards for post-June 2026, Chandler said,

Yeah, when’s Wrestlemania?…Oh, that’s right. So we can’t do Wrestlemania, but when is [SummerSlam]… I knew there’s one in August… Where’s that at?… Minneapolis. Okay, let’s do Minneapolis in August.”

“Me versus Logan Paul… Me versus Logan Paul [laughs]…. That’s where we’ll do it. That’s where we’ll start it. No, I mean, yeah, could be awesome. We’ll see.”

“We got a lot of talks to happen between now and then. Obviously, they know I’m interested. I believe they’re interested. So, We’ll see where we’re at.

Logan Paul addresses current WWE situation after a dormant period

Logan Paul has cleared up some things recently as a certain crop of pro wrestling fans were unsure what ‘The Maverick’ was up to as he has not been on WWE programming for multiple weeks. Paul’s last match, as of this writing, came at Clash in Paris as he took a loss to seventeen time world champion John Cena.

A recent vlog posted to his YouTube channel illuminated some details regarding what Paul is up to and the former influencer boxer has mentioned how his effort is focused on being in WWE. His co-host Mike Majlak got in a bit of a playful poke that Paul barely does anything in WWE though and Logan Paul responded by stating that he is simply waiting for a call from Triple H to get the greeenlight regarding what the next moves are.

  • Bobby Fish on Infamous CM Punk GTS Kick Out From Big 2021 AEW Match

Bobby Fish and CM Punk shared a bit of an infamous moment with one another during their AEW match from years ago with the former giving his side of the story regarding that situation. Fish posted a video addressing the matchup he had with the controversial figure as CM Punk stepped into the ring against Bobby Fish for the October 27, 2021 episode of AEW Dynamite.

The moment being referenced here came during the finishing sequence as Punk hit his GTS with Fish looking like he kicked out right at three or something representing a millisecond or two after the three-count was authored by the referee.

It became a moment that many still discuss on and off to this day with Fish just dropping a video on his YouTube channel pulling back the curtain a bit on that. First though, Fish touched on when he broke into the industry and how he saw CM Punk as a decent wrestler, a marginal athlete, but then also criticizing Punk’s UFC run where he felt like the former AEW Champion dropped the ball and represented pro wrestling poorly during his MMA efforts.

Bobby Fish on CM Punk miscommunication: “There was not a lot of time to think”

Touching on the situation with Punk on Dynamite in 2021, Fish received a lot of flak from many online who felt like he was going into business for himself or trying to shoehorn in something that would make him look good in that matchup. Addressing what happened in that situation from his perspective, Fish mentioned that Phil Brooks gave him an ‘iggy,’ which refers to a certain squeeze wrestlers utilize to subtly draw attention to something within the performance. Fish said [h/t f4w online]:

“There’s different kinds of iggies, as crazy as that sounds. But the iggy I got in that moment was as if he was trying to get my attention.”

“There was not a lot of time to think about this. So it was like do or don’t do, and I did, and what I did was kick out, knowing, okay, if this wasn’t what the intention was, pick me up and hit your move again, or whatever you want to do.”

The former ROH TV champion stated he approached Punk in his locker room after the match to see if there were any grievances. Bobby Fish mentioned that the former WWE champion stated how things were fine, but Fish got the sense that things were not, in fact, fine. Fish wrestled in AEW up until August 2022 when his contractual agreement came to an end with All Elite Wrestling.

  • Mercedes Mone States History Will Repeat Itself vs. Kris Statlander in Big AEW Full Gear 2025

Mercedes Mone is confident that she can get it done again against Kris Statlander at this year’s AEW Full Gear and referenced their match at last year’s tentpole event to underscore her point. On her personal X page, Mone posted a video clip of her match with the current AEW women’s champion from their showdown at Full Gear 2024. The reigning TBS champion mentioned in a tweet how history will repeat itself with the corresponding full match YouTube link that saw Mone best Statlander last year.

That was one of two victories that Mone was able to get over Statlander in 2024 with ‘Ultimo Mone’ thwarting the intergalactic talent’s pair of bids for the TBS championship. This year’s Full Gear match comes with even bigger stakes and atmosphere as this contest is a champ vs champ clash with Mone and Statlander bringing in the TBS and AEW championships, respectively. The matchup takes place in Newark, New Jersey on November 22 at the Prudential Center.

Mercedes Mone vs. Kris Statlander AEW Full Gear 2025 matchup overview

The matchup was initially set on the October 22nd episode of AEW Dynamite when Kris Statlander responded in a game way to the gauntlet that Mercedes Mone had laid down for this massive matchup. With Mone collecting new hardware seemingly on a weekly basis and consistently authoring new chapters in her story, the AEW title is one that has eluded her so far. The motivation would presumably be compounded by Mone’s failed AEW title bid against Toni Storm at AEW All In during the Summer.

For Statlander, the motivation to keep the title is obviously there but the adage of third time’s the charm could ring true if Statlander gets her ideal outcome in the weeks to come. Can Mone claim an unprecedented 13th concurrent championship or will the Galaxy\’s Greatest Alien punctuate her long awaited, history making AEW title reign with a win over one of the biggest names among this generation of wrestlers?

  • Darby Allin on the Big AEW Spot That Tony Khan Said ‘No’ To: “I Can’t Fake It”

Darby Allin is known for insane spots that have both captivated many worldwide with some of his efforts coming off as polarizing to many. But there was one suggested stunt that was seen as being a tad too much for AEW figurehead Tony Khan. This was expressed during a conversation with RJ City as the former TNT Champion covered several subjectsfore heading over to take part in the television show.ic element underpinning many of the topics.

Appearing on Hey! [EW], Allin was asked what has been the one big ‘no’ from AEW in terms of something he always wanted to do but TK said, ‘Absolutely not’, Allin said,

“During the pandemic, I wanted to get ran over by a car, and he said, “The roster is already so f***ing short.” [laughs]. We can’t be having you get hit by a car.”

When RJ City responded by saying that Allin could just lie about getting hit by a car like his infamous sex story involving bees which landed him on TLC’s ‘Sex Sent Me to the ER’ show which ended up being a ruse to get a spot on the show, Allin responded,

“Nah, dude. I can’t. I can’t fake, I can’t fake it… No, dude. Even with all my crazy s**t in AEW, I try not to have a lot of like safety.”

Darby Allin provides more info on his infamous TLC appearance

In wrestling parlance, TLC usually refers to tables, ladders, and chairs but for Darby Allin, it represented a chance to spotlight himself with a salacious but ultimately imagination-driven tale.

The former AEW tag team champion mentioned that he was paid $600 for his ‘Sex Sent Me To The ER’ role. The details of his curated story on the show involved having intimate relations with someone in a porta-potty before Allin claimed he was stung by an abundance of bees before he had to go to the emergency room.

On the same episode of Hey! [EW] embedded above, Allin mentioned how the woman who appeared on the show with him was someone he met on Craigslist and they met in a coffee shop prior to the shoot to get their story straight before heading over to take part in the television show.

  • Big E: “My Career is Kind of Behind Me”

Big E appears to be putting the kibosh on any ideas of an in-ring return as evidenced by comments made during a recent interview.

This was expressed during an appearance on What’s Your Story? With Steph McMahon as the now estranged former member of the New Day touched on how he is perceiving his future in terms of whether he will ever don his gear again. A devastating neck injury has kept the former WWE champion on the sidelines since 2022.

On that referenced podcast, Ettore Ewen touched upon mental health hurdles he has had to overcome in terms of difficulties in the intervening years as he also concurrently tackles his own current duties with the TKO-owned property.

A ringside belly-to-belly suplex gone wrong which led to the fracturing of his C1 and C6 vertebrae has kept the acclaimed performer out of the ring. The residual issues with his spine have kept him in a position where there have been some questions if he will ever return but not that defined certainty for Ewen. When touching on his competitive professional wrestling efforts going forward and coming across as grounded about everything, Big E said:

My career is kind of behind me. I’m someone who is appreciative, I think I had a really good career and I’m proud of it.

Big E’s current role under the WWE banner and his competitive resume

Big E is a frequent staple of WWE broadcasts these days and can be seen as a regular panelist on WWE’s consistent run of premium live events and pay-per-views. The aforementioned WWE title run is but one of the accomplishments that bolsters the deep resume of the man who encouraged many around the world to not be sour.

Big E has also captured the WWE intercontinental title, won the WWE King of the Ring tournament, and has multiple WWE Tag Team Championship accolades to his credit.

  • Matt Hardy: AEW Fish Tank Spot Was “Not the Greatest Thing I’ve Seen on TV”

A particular sequence within the recent Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin I-Quit match at AEW WrestleDream has been the talk of the wrestling world and Matt Hardy has given his viewpoint on the now infamous fish tank spot.

A lot of online discourse regarding the moment where Moxley dunked Allin’s head into a fish tank to intimate he was trying to drown him has had some worried that children may try to replicate that ala former AEW coach as well as producer Sarah Stock. Conversely, some see it as adult oriented entertainment that you should safe guard from your children if you feel so inclined.

Former AEW talent Matt Hardy has given his viewpoint on that spot during a recent episode of his podcast which he is the titular figure of, Extreme Life of Matt Hardy. The concurrent WWE NXT and TNA tag team champion discussed the fallout from AEW’s recent pay-per-view main event and while Matt Hardy prefaced things by saying he saw the spot and it wasn’t the worst thing AEW has done, Hardy said [h/t WrestleTalk],

“Sure it’s not the greatest thing I’ve seen on TV but I mean you can say that from TNA, you can say that from WWE. There’s been incidents that have happened across all these places where there’s been controversial things that kids should not try at home.”

Matt Hardy responds to his own controversy from recent WWE NXT segment

Matt Hardy recently addressed his own controversy, albeit on the far less violent side, but it did still touch on a polarizing situation all the same. The proliferation of artificial intelligence in so many aspects of our day to day lives has now extended to professional wrestling programming. In a recent WWE NXT segment, Matt and Jeff Hardy tapped back into their TNA personas of Broken Matt and Brother Nero, respectively, as they were seen entering the Lake of Reincarnation.

AI was utilized in that segment for some of the transformative moments that the Hardys experienced there and Matt has given his thoughts on what can be an often polarizing topic about the artistic merit of using AI. It seemed like Matt Hardy found it to be an intriguing use of the technology in the context of showing unique perspectives in the segment. This was expressed on the same episode of the podcast he is the figurehead of but Matt Hardy also respectfully mentioned that the utilization of that technology was not for him or of his interest.

  • Tony Khan Addresses Chris Jericho AEW Contract Status

Chris Jericho and his future with AEW are a hot topic of conversation, and AEW President Tony Khan has weighed in on the widely discussed rumors. Jericho has been a stalwart in AEW since its inception in 2019, and there are rumblings that one of the most prominent stars in All Elite Wrestling from their nascent days may be potentially making a return to WWE.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Khan touched on the present situation with AEW\’s inaugural champion, as Jericho has not appeared in the ring for around half a year or so. Tony Khan mentioned that we would have to see what shakes out in the next few months, but mentioned how the door would always be open for him to be a part of AEW.

In a separate interview with Z100 New York that Tony Khan did, the AEW promoter mentioned how Chris Jericho was busy with outside projects at this moment but praised the legendary wrestler as a foundational figure in AEW\’s history.

Jericho himself has done a bit of teasing regarding his contract situation, where he has admitted he is still an AEW talent, but the former WWE undisputed champion is also teasing a bit that maybe a return to his prior employer could be on the table, also. An agreement extension signed by Jericho previously has him as a contracted AEW performer until December of this year. So the future of the sports entertainment standout should become a bit more crystallized sooner rather than later.

Chris Jericho WWE Return Rumors Addressed by Friend

Chris Jericho returning to a TKO-helmed WWE has been going through the rumor mill lately, but a former WCW alumni has offered up his thoughts on the matter. On an episode of the Cat Corner podcast, Ernest \”the Cat\” Miller spoke about the friends he has in the business in the context of having his finger on the pulse about what Jericho\’s next move could be.

Miller mentioned the rumors about Jericho potentially leaving AEW for WWE, and the former spoke about the latter not looking toward leaving right away. That information was reportedly from a direct conversation that Miller had with the Canadian pro wrestling superstar and mentioned that Jericho was not looking to leave the place \’where the best wrestle,\’ at least right away.

  • Snippets of AEW Book Have Been Revealed to the Public

The first ever historical account of AEW in the medium of literature is set to drop in the coming weeks and the world is finally getting a peek at it. Random House in collaboration with All Elite Wrestling is set to publish \’This Book is All Elite\’ on November 4th and New York Times best selling author Keith Greenberg has helmed the book\’s curation. The project will delve into some materials that will pull back the curtain for fans on the outside and put them in the position of someone who is part of the behind the scenes crew with All Elite Wrestling.

The timing of the book being published coincides nicely with the relatively recent six year anniversary of All Elite Wrestling\’s flagship weekly television show, AEW Dynamite. The Takedown on SI received early access to the book with samples of the writing and key photos being shown highlighting monumental moments from some of the promotion\’s biggest stars today. Some of the revealed portions centred on Adam Page taking on Kenny Omega at Full Gear 2021, Jon Moxley cementing himself as the promotion\’s world champion, and Chris Jericho taking on Orange Cassidy in their mimosa mayhem match to name a few of the teased excerpts.

AEW is rolling right into WrestleDream this weekend

Those aforementioned All Elite Wrestling names like Hangman Page and Jon Moxley have some big tasks ahead of them with the looming AEW pay-per-view offering in the coming days. AEW WrestleDream transpires on Saturday, October 18th with Hangman Page set to defend his world title against Samoa Joe with the latter aiming to enter the rarefied air of being a multi-time AEW champion which features CM Punk, Jon Moxley, and Page himself.

As for Moxley, he will be taking on the inimitable Darby Allin in an I-Quit match which promises to bring high octane action to this weekend\’s show. Moxley and Allin are set for a face to face encounter on tonight\’s AEW Dynamite which serves as the go home show for AEW\’s WrestleDream offering for 2025.

  • Andrade Mucha Luchas Match Scrapped Due to AEW Status

Andrade is someone who always seems to keep fans wondering about what is going on with him and that continues amid reports of a scrapped match with a former WCW star. X user foos touched upon this situation involving Andrade vs. Park which was supposed to take place on October 26th. The matchup between the returning AEW talent and the original WCW La Parka was set to take place under the Mucha Luchas Atlanta banner.

Mascarita Sagrada versus Demus was announced to fill in that reported vacancy with no statement being put out, as of this writing, related to why the matchup would no longer be taking place per X user foos.

Andrade\’s AEW Status and Questions About His Future

Andrade made a massive impact on AEW Dynamite\’s six-year anniversary when he made his surprise return to the company shortly after news of his WWE departure became public. But what his path looks like going forward seems unclear at this juncture. The former All Elite Wrestling talent returned to the fold by joining the Don Callis Family after attacking Kenny Omega.

There was some thought that an Omega vs. Andrade match would potentially happen at this weekend\’s AEW WrestleDream in a big blockbuster bout. But booking complications would not allow for that.

Things especially seemed unusual in the wake of Andrade\’s big return earlier this month followed by his absence during a recent in-ring segment that he would presumably have been part of. The AEW Dynamite segment involved a birthday celebration for the Don Callis Family with the ever-growing heel faction having many key figures present but with no mention of the new addition to the group, Andrade.

Dave Meltzer also mentioned during an episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that dropped earlier today that AEW knows why the former WWE NXT champion has seemingly vanished. But All Elite Wrestling is not looking to divulge those details at this point in time. At this juncture, Andrade is still booked to wrestle a show in Puerto Rico on the weekend as he will vie for the WWC Universal championship.

  • Ridge Holland Announces WWE Departure Amid Injury

Ridge Holland will not be renewed for his WWE contract after residual injury complications he sustained at a TNA taping. Holland kept fans abreast of this news on his personal social media and relayed to his fanbase that he would not be continuing on with WWE, at least at this juncture. His current contractual agreement with the promotion is said to elapse on November 14th and the TKO helmed property has decided to not seek to extend that deal per the wrestler himself.

Holland\’s WWE journey began in 2018 with some more momentum being gathered for him during his 2020 run with NXT. Holland\’s 2021 main roster moves under the Smackdown banner saw his involvement with Sheamus and Pete Dunne in the the Brawling Brutes faction. Ridge Holland is also infamously tied to an accident with Big E that has kept the former WWE champion on the sidelines with neck injury issues since 2022 after an errant belly to belly suplex was delivered outside of the ring.

2023 onward saw Holland return to NXT for a stint with the tag titles as well as appearances with both Evolve and TNA before the news of this departure came to light.

Ridge Holland\’s full statement regarding his release from WWE

Ridge Holland\’s full statement on social media, with an h/t to 411 Mania, reads as follows,

“I’ve been informed that WWE will not be renewing my contract when it ends on November 14th. WWE are still going to cover my rehab from injury.\”

\”but my guaranteed pay will end, quite frustrating to say the least as I cannot work for another 6 months due to the aforementioned injury, with a family of 5 to support.\”

\”My career with WWE has been blighted by misfortune but I’m still thankful and grateful for the opportunity and experience. The shining light that has always kept me going is the HUGE support from a handful of special human beings. Thank you.\”

\”I’m unsure what lies ahead of me in terms of wrestling but going forward I will be working hard to heal up and in that time I will be launching my own online coaching business…..so stay tuned. Cheers”

  • Raven on Parkinson\’s Diagnosis: \”You Pay for the Damage\”

Raven has recently spotlighted some of the health issues he has been experiencing as of late which includes living with Parkinson\’s disease. This was expressed by the former ECW champion during an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show as Raven delved into some of his present realities after a decorated career in the professional wrestling space.

The former NWA titleholder under the TNA banner spoke about how he is optimistic about his life while also acknowledging that he feels like his behaviors through lifestyle choices were what led him to this present state of health complications. As he delved into the specifics of his condition during the referenced conversation with Helwani, Raven said:

\”[I\’ve] got early onset Parkinson\’s. So if you see me tremoring, that\’s why. I\’m lucky. It hasn\’t affected me too bad.\”

\”It\’s just, when I get anxious, the tremor gets worse, or when I\’m really tired and I have a sleep disorder, so it, you know … But I paid to — you know, you got to pay the piper sometimes.\”

\”You know, you gotta, for all the drugs and alcohol and chair shots I took to the head, you know. You got to pay for the damage at some point.\”

Raven\’s \”Nevermore: The Raven Effect\” Documentary Gets November Release

Part of the reason behind the recent round of media appearances that Raven is doing relates to drumming up more attention around a documentary piece on his life. Nevermore: The Raven Effect is set for a broader streaming release date on November 18th through the Amazon Prime platform. The film has had prior showings in select theatres throughout August as well as September.

Weekend screenings of the film will take place in a city that saw many of Raven\’s best in-ring moments as the film will be shown in Philadelphia, the home of Extreme Championship Wrestling. The film directed by Geordie Day presents the highs and lows of the former WCW US champion\’s with Raven working closely with Day on the project to capture the baggage of his life along with the revered moments under the spotlight.

  • AJ Styles Thinks Hiroshi Tanahashi \”Would Have Definitely Succeeded\” in WWE

AJ Styles has high hopes for how Hiroshi Tanahashi would have done if he ever came over to WWE. As someone who made the crossover from New Japan Pro Wrestling to WWE with great success, \’The Phenomenal\’ AJ Styles would certainly be as good of an authority on this matter as anyone. Tanahashi had a prolific run as an in-ring competitor for NJPW and presently serves as the president of the strong style centric promotion.

With his in-ring career set to end at Wrestle Kingdom in January, it seems like Tanahashi being in a WWE ring is a thing of the past but hypotheticals can be fun to entertain. During an interview with Tokyo Sports, Styles expressed his praise for New Japan\’s Ace and spoke to several other Japanese media outlets ahead of a pair of shows WWE is doing over there. Those shows transpire on October 17th and 18th at Rygoku Sumo Hall in Tokyo.

Discussing how he thiinks Tanahashi would have fared if he came over to WWE [which Tanahashi entertained doing between 2004-2005 before becoming NJPW\’s Ace], Styles said:

\”I think he would have done great. Like my own kids, there are a lot of anime fans here. Tanahashi, including his hairstyle, is like an anime character himself, so I think he would have been a hit. Plus, he understands this industry deeply, so he would have definitely succeeded.\”

AJ Styles partakes in another big TKO-related media appearance

AJ Styles has been doing quite a bit of media work to promote his looming match with John Cena at WWE\’s Crown Jewel but his appearances for TKO-helmed properties don\’t stop there. Styles was also seen at UFC 320 over the weekend and was featured in one of their customary cageside shots showing distinguished guests in attention. TKO\’s official X account signal boosted the post from October 4th even more by sharing it on their socials as the former WWE, TNA, and IWGP champion was showcased prominently.

WWe stars like Stephanie Vaquer and Drew McIntyre have also appeared cageside for previous UFC cards. Styles got to take in Alex Pereira regaining his light heavyweight title in the main event as well as Merab Dvalishvili retaining his bantamweight crown in the penultimate fight of the night.
