NXT Women\’s Champion Mandy Rose defended against Alba Fyre in a Last Woman Standing match on this show.

This was a rematch from Halloween Havoc where Fyre had the title won before Toxic Attraction helped Rose retain the title.

The match saw Fyre take control early with an outside dive. However, things went back and forth with various weapons being used including trash cans. At one point, Fyre hit a front senton off the top rope to the floor. Rose dropped a ladder and it may have landed on the left arm of Fyre. Fyre planted Rose on a trash can. Rose tossed her off the barricade and Fyre’s head hit the ring steps. Fyre tossed her into the ring apron. Isla Dawn appeared and spit in the face of Fyre before tossing her off the ladder through the announce table and that’s how Rose won.

The finish saw McDonagh go for a Top Rope Moonsault on Crews, but Crews evaded and hit the Standing Ovation Slam (One-Hand Spinebuster) on McDonagh for the pinfall win.

  • Bron Breakker Retains WWE NXT Title Over Von Wagner

WWE NXT Champion Bron Breakker made his latest title defense against Von Wagner in the opening bout of the November 15th edition of WWE NXT on the USA Network.

  • Logan Paul Texted Triple H About Wrestling John Cena at WWE WrestleMania 39

Logan Paul earned plenty of praise from fans and wrestlers following his match against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Crown Jewel.

Paul was not victorious, but his performance stood out, and even John Cena took notice as he shared a photo of Paul on his Instagram account with no caption. Paul noticed that and responded with the eyes emoji on Twitter of a tweet saying Cena was looking for a WrestleMania opponent.

    Paul vs. Cena?

    \"Logan

On the latest episode of his ImPAULsive podcast, Paul offered more insight into a potential showdown with Cena.

\”Triple H, throw me a bone, give me a birthday present, let me take out John Cena. That\’d be crazy.\”

    – Logan Paul

\”That\’s my dream. I\’ve proven the model twice now. I\’ve proven the model of; headstrong capable internet kid vs. a GOAT, a top-tier industry leader. Floyd (Mayweather). That worked. Generated $65-70 million dollars. Reigns. Crown Jewel became the number one most-viewed international pay-per-view event WWE has ever had. I\’ve done it twice. The reason is, when I\’m paired with a legend, a top-tier industry leader, the model works.\”

After Crown Jewel, John Cena posted me on his Instagram and then I saw an article saying he\’s looking for an opponent at WrestleMania. I favorited it, responded with the eyes. Truthfully, I think me vs. John Cena would break the internet. I texted Triple H right away, \’Do you want to break the internet again?\’ That\’s a dream match. WrestleMania, in LA, on my birthday. Triple H, throw me a bone, give me a birthday present, let me take out John Cena. That\’d be crazy.\”

Paul stated that when he is put up against legends, he delivers, whether that\’s Floyd Mayweather or Reigns, and brings in money.

During his bout at Crown Jewel, he suffered a knee injury, although he clarified on the podcast that it could have been worse and planned to give an update on his condition soon.

  • Details on the Lengths of New WWE Contracts

Since taking over WWE main roster creative, Triple H has brought back several wrestlers that had been let go.

Fightful Select reports that wrestlers who were brought back for the SmackDown brand are on three-year contracts that are set to expire in the Summer of 2025. Hit Row has matching deals that expire around the same time and are on those three-year deals. Some wrestlers brought back had representation and were able to negotiate different contracts.

    Other Talent

    \"\"
    (BT Sport)

Several stars brought back “were able to negotiate the ability to utilize some outside projects and platforms that they would not have been allowed to do at the time they were released.”

Many of those rules were relaxed as far back as WrestleMania 38 in April and are even more relaxed.

The preparation of some of these returns has ranged from the day before to several days out or in weeks. It was weeks in the making for Johnny Gargano, while Karrion Kross and Scarlett were just days. WWE had plans to bring in Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows for over a month.

Triple H has brought back Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Dakota Kai, Dexter Lumis, the three members of Hit Row, Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, Emma, and Mia Yim.

  • MJF Honored his Late Grandfather After Beating CM Punk

Although MJF is arguably one of the best heels in the business, he has been getting more and more cheers as of late from fans following his return to AEW at All Out in September.

His latest post on Twitter will also give him more sympathy with fans as he noted that an outfit he wore during a previous edition of AEW Dynamite was, in fact, modeled on his late grandfather.

The AEW star shared a picture of himself side by side with his late ‘Poppa’ wearing the outfit and then a photo of himself in similar clothes during the February 9 edition of AEW Dynamite. This show was right after MJF beat CM Punk in their first match. He wrote the following in the caption:

    The Photo

    \"MJF\"
    (AEW)

“Two years since your passing. Ik you’ll be watching on Saturday. Thanks for teaching me how to style and strut, Love you Poppa. #Penniesfromheaven.”

MJF’s character has significantly developed as he toes the line between heel and face. At this Saturday’s Full Gear pay-per-view event, MJF will challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Heavyweight Title.

After his post-Double or Nothing absence, MJF returned to AEW by winning the poker chip in the Casino Ladder Match, thanks to Stokely Hathaway, which earned him this championship match. Since then, he cut ties with The Firm and Hathaway after they disobeyed his orders not to attack Moxley.

  • Details on Late Changes Made to Monday’s WWE Raw

Just because Vince McMahon is no longer running the WWE main roster creative and Triple H is in charge doesn’t mean that plans for weekly television don’t change at all anymore.

This week’s episode of WWE Raw was not immune to change as Fightful Select reports that WWE switched up plans for Dominik Mysterio on the show as he was not initially listed to wrestle on the show.

    The Changes

    \"Rhea

The report stated, “There were several revisions to the lineup. Dominik Mysterio was originally not scheduled to wrestle. Rollins vs. Balor was made a United States Title match, and Elias & Riddle vs. Alpha Academy was set for the show.”

Mysterio is still going strong with the Judgment Day stable, and all signs might point toward a WrestleMania 39 with his father, Rey Mysterio, who is currently out of action with an injury.

Also on this show, Mia Yim got a new entrance song and nickname. Fightful’s report also noted that “Michin,” her new nickname, which means “crazy’ in Korean, will be used from time to time and the company will also refer to her as Michin, but the working plan is for Mia Yim to still be used moving forward.

Yim is still finding her footing after returning to WWE recently after being away following her departure alongside several other stars that were released in 2021.

  • WWE to Introduce a New Match Type

According to the United States Patent & Trademark Office database, WWE filed for the trademark on November 10th under Entertainment services.

A new match type is coming to the NXT brand under this name, according to Fightful.

    (via WWE)

The report stated the Iron Survivor Challenge may have some “scramble” element to it, and other “unique” elements have been pitched for the gimmick bout.

WWE has been hyping that WWE Hall of Famer & Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels will appear on tonight’s NXT, where he is slated to issue a statement about the NXT Deadline Premium Live Event on Saturday, December 10, that doesn’t have a main event match confirmed for it yet.

Sources implied to the media outlet that Michaels’ announcement would be related to the Iron Survivor Challenge, but that was not confirmed.

NXT Champion Bron Breakker will defend the title against Von Wagner in the main event of Tuesday’s show.

  • Kazuchika Okada Interested in Wrestling The Rock, Makes Voice Acting Cameo in Japanese Version of “Black Adam”

Kazuchika Okada is one of the biggest stars in the history of New Japan Pro Wrestling but has never wrestled in WWE. In a dream match scenario, it doesn’t get much bigger than a match between Okada and The Rock.

At a recent press event for “Black Adam” in Japan, Okada worked on the Japanese dubbed version of the film “Black Adam,” which stars the former WWE Champion.

The top NJPW star attended a press event to promote the film that will be released in Japan on December 2nd. During it, the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion was asked if there was any interest in getting in the ring with the film’s leading man.

    Kazuchika Okada vs. The Rock

“It looks like he can fight. He looks like he can do it [Okada joked about the Black Adam figure]. I think we can have a match… Well, as a fellow pro wrestler, I’d like to have a match with him [Dwayne Johnson].”

The Rock hasn’t wrestled in 8 years, with the last time being a quick six-second squash win against Erick Rowan). Okada is set to challenge for Jay White’s IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at January’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Since opening on October 21, the film has grossed $351,573,563, with $150,573,563 coming domestically and $201,000,000 internationally.

  • Health Update on Randy Orton

Randy Orton has been a top star in WWE since 2004 after being paired with Triple H, Batista, and Ric Flair in Evolution, but he has missed the majority of 2022 due to a back issue.

Orton has not been on WWE television since May, when The Usos defeated RK-Bro in a unification title match on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown. Orton was attacked by The Bloodline to be written off television following the match.

Initially, WWE anticipated the back injury would require surgery and force him to miss the rest of the year. It had not been confirmed that Orton underwent the knife.

Orton was spotted in Birmingham, Alabama this week which is typically where WWE sends its wrestlers to get surgery. As it turns out, Orton was hospitalized for an undisclosed procedure.

\”If y’all only knew why this pic was taken\”

As seen below, Kim wrote a touching message about their relationship.

\”7 wonderful years with the man of my dreams. • Former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion Worked Main Event Before Monday’s Raw

The trend of WWE bringing in NXT stars to work episodes of Main Event at weekly Raw events has continued.

Monday’s Raw (November 14) marked the main roster TV debut for former NXT Cruiserweight Champion JD McDonagh as he wrestled Cedric Alexander in a singles match at the taping. Also,

McDonagh has been used prominently on NXT TV since he officially moved to the brand from NXT UK in July and given a new name after being known as Jordan Devlin. Once moving to NXT, he has been in the NXT Championship picture with champion Bron Breakker most of the time.

    \"Jordan
    (via WWE)

McDonagh did work two non-televised main roster UK tour house shows in 2017 and various inter-brand events like Worlds Collide, but this would mark his televised main roster debut.

The other NXT talent in action on Main Event this week is Kiana James, who wrestled Asuka. James is someone that WWE management seemingly is interested in calling up to the main roster in the near future as this is now her third appearance on Main Event in four weeks.

Fallon Henley, Josh Briggs, Brooks Jensen, Carmelo Hayes, Cameron Grimes, Von Wagner, Duke Hudson, Xyon Quinn, and Wendy Choo are just some of the NXT names that have been put in this spot for WWE officials to get a look at these stars on a bigger stage.

JD will wrestle Apollo Crews on Tuesday’s episode of NXT. Main Event is taped right before Raw every Monday and airs on Thursdays on Hulu.

  • Drew McIntyre Praised for Being a Workhorse in WWE

Drew McIntyre has been pushed as a top star in WWE for the last few years because of his passion for the business and putting in the work. Throughout his career with the company, he has won various titles.

McIntyre’s hectic schedule has also earned him props from his co-workers as well.  The former WWE Champion beat Karrion Kross in a singles match at the Crown Jewel event and did so after a busy schedule and working with an illness.

Mcintyre had to overcome outside interference by Scarlett in the bout to be victorious.

    Drew McIntyre’s Praise

    \"Drew

According to PW Insider, there are a few people in WWE praising McIntyre for his commitment to the company as he went from The United States to Germany and Switzerland for house shows, then went to Saudi Arabia for Crown Jewel before traveling to India to film what was described as a “movie role” the company set up with Sony, then flew right back to the United States to work the SmackDown show and this past weekend\’s live events.

McIntyre has aligned with The Brawling Brutes and will likely face The Bloodline at the WWE Survivor Series on November 26th.

  • Vince McMahon Had Plans to Bury Gunther, Send Him Back to WWE NXT

Things could’ve gone much differently for Gunther in the second half of 2022 if Vince McMahon was still running WWE\’s main roster creative instead of Triple H.

WrestleVotes has provided more details on its original report from earlier this year, where it was reported that McMahon soured on Gunther and there were plans to bury him on TV following his segment with R-Truth on the July 4th edition of Monday Night Raw.

The Intercontinental Champion interrupted an Independence Day skit hosted by the veteran wrestler before beating him in a match. It wasn’t clear at the time what the issue was with McMahon and Gunther.

    Vince McMahon on Gunther

    \"Gunther

While speaking with GiveMeSport, WrestleVotes noted that Gunther was going to be buried and send to NXT if McMahon was still in charge, but McMahon resigned two weeks later from this episode before he went forward with his plans.

“I know that Vince McMahon just didn’t like what he saw on Raw and was over him, like legitimately wanted to bury him, go back to NXT, that type of stuff.”

According to the report, Triple H thinks Gunther can be the star of big WWE events. The Intercontinental Champion\’s bout with Sheamus at Clash at the Castle is credited with dramatically improving that perception.

  • Kevin Owens Suffers Knee Injury at WWE House Show

Kevin Owens will be on the sidelines for the foreseeable future as the WWE star suffered a right knee injury at Sunday\’s WWE house show in Madison, Wisconsin, during a match with Austin Theory.

Fans in attendance had noted coming out of the event that it appeared Owens was injured when it looked like he blew out his knee after planting it during the bout. They went right to the finish, where Owens scored the victory with a stunner, although Owens needed help from the referee to get to the back.

Owens was said to have a concerned look on his face as he was limping to the backstage area, and for good reason.

    Kevin Owens

    \"Kevin

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter confirmed the injury is an MCL sprain and \”the way it was worded was that hopefully that is all the injury is with the idea it could be more than that.

The former WWE Universal Champion has been off Monday Night Raw for the past few weeks because he wasn\’t going to the Saudi Arabia Crown Jewel event on November 5th but has been wrestling on the house shows.

We hope to have more information shortly. From all of us at SEScoops, we wish Owens a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in the ring.

  • Nick Aldis: ‘NWA has Become \’the Most Toxic Brand in Wrestling\’

Nick Aldis has given his take on Saturday’s NWA Hard Times 3 pay-per-view event.

Aldis had been the face of the company for years, but announced last week he is leaving the brand and will be a free agent in January 2023.

Following Hard Times, Aldis shared a message to his Instagram subscribers saying that he hopes people understand why it was important for him to announce why it was important for him to share that he was giving his notice prior to the Hard Times event.

He also added that he believes the National Wrestling Alliance is now the most toxic brand in all of wrestling. He wrote the following:

    Nick Aldis’ Latest NWA Take

    \"Nick

\”I hope now you see why it was important to me to let you know that I had given my notice to the NWA BEFORE this ppv. What was once a promising endeavour that I turned down bigger opportunities to take the lead on, has become the most toxic brand in pro wrestling. Thank you all for the support.”

At Hard Times, the main event saw Tyrus become the NWA World\’s Heavyweight Champion by beating Trevor Murdoch and Matt Cardona.

  • Eric Bischoff on Rumors About CM Punk Returning to WWE: ‘I Wouldn’t Touch him With a 10-Foot Pole’

CM Punk\’s future in wrestling remains unclear as he could stay with AEW, return to WWE or never wrestle again following his backstage fight with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks after AEW\’s All Out pay-per-view.

As a result of his involvement in the fight, he was stripped of the World Title and suspended. Punk is reportedly in talks with AEW about a contract buyout.

Eric Bischoff shared his opinion on CM Punk while speaking with Wrestling Inc. According to Bischoff, he doesn’t think Triple H should bring him back.

    Eric Bischoff on CM Punk

    \"Eric
    (A&E)

\”I don\’t know what Paul Levesque is thinking, I don\’t know what their plans are, their strategies are, so I have no idea. I can tell you from my perspective, I wouldn\’t touch him with a 10-foot pole. I think CM Punk had a mystique because of WWE, and because of the pipe bomb interview, and because he walked out, that created this aura and mystique that [AEW CEO] Tony [Khan] brought to AEW and took advantage of for a minute. And once that mystique was gone, once you kind of let that air out of the balloon, and now you\’re just performing every week, I didn\’t see it in Punk. I just didn\’t see it in him as a character, I didn\’t see it in him in the ring –- he was good, but he wasn\’t phenomenal.\”

Bischoff also shared a handful of reasons he doesn\’t think Punk would find success in returning to the company ranging from his age, lack of being in great shape, and WWE being more intense and physical than AEW with its style.

Bischoff also thinks the fans turned on Punk and left a bad taste in their mouth, and they realize that that mystique is no longer there as he’s just another guy. Bischoff doesn’t see value in Punk anymore.

  • Cody Rhodes Makes Interesting Claim About his Time in AEW

Cody Rhodes recently responded to a tweet from a fan about Cody\’s reason for leaving AEW, a shocking move at the time as he was one of the key people to help launch the promotion in addition to Tony Khan, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks.

A story that had made the rounds over the last few months claimed that Cody had a rift with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, and they are the reason why he left AEW. There was another story regarding how Rhodes had issues with CM Punk. There have also been stories about money and the way he was booked.

Rhodes took to Twitter to debunk those rumors. In a recent response, Rhodes responded to a fan who wrote, “Was the personal issue being booed? Because I still have no clue why people booed you out of nowhere.”

Rhodes dismissed and noted that he was a true heel despite being portrayed as a babyface.

After returning to WrestleMania 38 in April, Rhodes had solid matches with Seth Rollins before being sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle. His last match happened at Hell in a Cell before he underwent surgery.

Although it’s been reported that Rhodes is little ahead of schedule in healing, there is no firm date for his return.

  • Details on How Triple H Originally Felt About Judgment Day

Paul Levesque (Triple H) wasn’t always on board with Judgment Day as he reportedly “changed his mind” about pushing a particular WWE act since he took over main roster creative from Vince McMahon.

WrestleVotes discussed Levesque’s current perception of the group while doing an interview with GiveMeSport. Finn Balor, Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley, and Dominik Mysterio make up the current group after kicking out Edge, the original leader, weeks ago.

    Triple H Changed His Mind

    \"Triple

“I know back in late July or early August, whenever this whole shift happened, from what I was told Hunter wasn’t really cool with Judgment Day. Not personally, but he just didn’t like the idea. But since he’s grown behind it, I think that they’re going to be around for longer than anticipated.”

The group has since Triple H has taken over creative as there is a dynamic between Ripley and Dominik, and now they’re feuding with The OC.

This past Monday night on Raw, the feud was pushed forward as Mia Yim returned to WWE and aligned with the OC as a female equalizer to Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley. It looks like WWE is building to another match between the groups at Survivor Series later this month.

  • Indie Wrestler Being Considered for Private WWE Tryout

Fightful Select reports that a WWE source told them that Navarro is on WWE’s radar and Navarro is even being considered for a private WWE tryout. WWE usually holds tryouts with several wrestlers at one time, so this could be a good sign the company wants to sign him if a private tryout set up.

Navarro has wrestled almost 300 matches since his wrestling debut, including for the likes of Impact Wrestling, MLW, Warrior Wrestling, and DEFY.

The independent standout has also wrestled a handful of matches for AEW’s Dark brand between October 2020 and March 2021.

On Thursday, WWE announced its Fall 2022 class of Performance Center recruits as 14 people have joined the promotion on developmental deals where they will be training at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Many of the names announced were part of the July set of tryouts in Nashville, TN, ahead of the SummerSlam premium live event. These recruits are hopeful that they will one day make their WWE TV debuts on NXT.

  • Gunther Names Top WWE Star as his Dream Opponent

There are many dream matches for Gunther on the main roster that fans are looking forward to seeing happen. For the WWE Intercontinental Champion, he has shared a dream opponent: Brock Lesnar.

Gunther’s success in WWE has followed him from NXT UK where he was a top star, to NXT to the main roster. He’s been booked as a dominant force on the main roster, winning the Intercontinental Title in June.

GUNTHER has defended the title in several dream matches, most recently putting on banger after banger with Sheamus.

While speaking with WMBD News, Gunther revealed he has his eye on a match with Brock Lesnar.

“If I had to pin it down to one name, I’d say it’s Brock Lesnar at the moment. When I was young and watching WWE, I enjoyed watching his matches. Later on when I progressed in my career, I was able to watch wrestling and analyze how people work. He’s always been somebody I was impressed with. He’s one of the best to ever do it. I think that’s the biggest possible challenge for me at the moment.”

Lesnar last wrestled at the Crown Jewel premium live event on November 5th by defeating Bobby Lashley.

  • The Elite Filming AEW Reality Show While Awaiting Television Return

Although The Elite (The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega) have yet to make their return to AEW television, they have been backstage at recent AEW Dynamite events.

As previously reported, Warner Bros. Discovery is filming a behind-the-scenes reality TV show with AEW, although at the time, the talent involved in the show was unknown.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that filming is underway, and it\’s believed The Elite will be featured on the show. This may explain why the trio has been backstage at recent events before returning to TV following their suspension.

Meltzer wrote, “They are now filming the AEW reality show each week, starting with the 11/2 show in Baltimore. I believe the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are part of the show, which may be why they have been in despite not appearing on the television show. At least when the show was conceived, they were a part of it.”

The Elite hasn’t been seen on AEW programming since capturing the Trios Championships at the All Out PPV on September 4th. They were suspended and stripped of the titles due to their involvement in the ‘Brawl Out’ situation with Ace Steel and CM Punk.

In recent weeks, vignettes have aired teasing the trio\’s return, leading many fans to believe that The Elite will finally be returning at the Full Gear PPV on November 19th.

  • WWE Star Returning From Injury Soon

Robert Roode is slated to return to in-ring action after not wrestling on WWE TV since the beginning of April.

The veteran wrestler hasn’t worked a match since a non-televised house show in June. In September, he underwent a medical procedure at Southlake Orthopaedics in Birmingham, Alabama.

According to a report by PWinsider.com, Roode was spotted back in Birmingham on Wednesday (November 9), and the “hope” is that he’ll be making a return to the ring “soon.”

    Plans for Robert Roode

    \"Robert

Per the report, WWE has talked about bringing Roode back on SmackDown, which would split up his tag team with Dolph Ziggler, who is on Raw, unless Ziggler is moved over too.

Under the leadership of Paul Levesque (Triple H), when he was still booking NXT, Roode was pushed as a top star and became the NXT Champion. Under Vince McMahon’s vision, he never hit the same heights on the main roster.

That could change with a new regime in place and a fresh start for Roode, who may be elevated more than he was under Vince McMahon. While on the main roster, Roode has been a US Champion and a three-time Tag Team Champion.
