  • Details On How Recent WWE Performance Center COVID-19 Outbreak Started

Last week word broke that WWE was dealing with another outbreak of positive COVID-19 tests within their developmental system.

WWE renovated the WWE Performance Center to turn it into the Capitol Wrestling Center for weekly NXT television. WWE had to move to a nearby location to resume training its developmental recruits.

The outbreak in NXT led to several wrestlers being put into a two-week quarantine due to contact tracing.

Regarding how the outbreak happened, it was reported that one of the WWE Performance Center coaches tested positive for COVID-19, which led to the outbreak and quarantine.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the coach was teaching recruits on October 23rd  and every wrestler who was being coached and everyone who was around this coach was told to quarantine for two weeks.

It was noted that apparently there were other positive COVID-19 test results, but those were only new people to the system who were around the coach and nobody that appeared on NXT TV.

Because of this outbreak, Indi Hartwell was forced to be pulled from Wednesday’s episode of NXT, which had a special Halloween Havoc theme.

  • WWE NXT Halloween Havoc Results (10/28): Two Title Matches, McAfee\’s Faction

The October 28, 2020 episode of WWE NXT aired live on the USA Network from Orlando, Florida at the Capitol Wrestling Center.

    WWE NXT Results

    • Johnny Gargano def. Damian Priest to become North American Champion
    • Santos Escobar def. Jake Atlas
    • Rhea Ripley def. Raquel Gonzalez
    • Dexter Lumis def. Cameron Grimes
    • Io Shirai def. Candice LeRae to retain NXT Women’s Title

Here are the takeaways from this week’s show:

    NXT North American Title Match

    \"Damien
    Damien Priest

Johnny Gargano challenged NXT North American Champion Damian Priest in what was determined to be a Devil\’s Playground Match thanks to the spin the wheel make a deal gimmick.

The match was the opening contest of the show. Priest changed up his look as he’s wearing normal tights and wearing gloves. The gimmick was a Devil\’s Playground Match, which was basically a Falls Count Anywhere contest.

If you recall, this was a rematch from the NXT TakeOver 31 event earlier this month that saw Priest successfully retain the title over Gargano.

The match was good as WWE gave them plenty of time. It was better than their previous match despite having commercial breaks, which typically hurts a match.  They used various weapons and brawled around the facility.

Near the end of the match, someone dressed up as Scream hit Priest with a pipe and Gargano hit a DDT to Priest. The mystery person walked away as he handed Gargano a tombstone and hit Priest with it that sent him flying off a stage and into a mini house. Gargano won the title.

    A rematch is coming.

    NXT Women\’s Title Match

    \"Candice
    Candice LaRae

Candice LeRae challenged NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai in what was determined to be a Tables, Ladders, and Scares match thanks to the spin the wheel make a deal gimmick.

WWE saved this bout for the main event slot, which had about an 8 minute overrun as a way to boost up viewership while competing against AEW Dynamite.  It was basically a TLC Match.

Obviously, they used tables, ladders, and chairs. Io hit a moonsault off the top rope, but LeRae moved and she crashed on a pile of chairs. Moments later, Io hit a suplex to LeRae on an open chair. Io missed a knee strike in the corner and crashed into a ladder, which fell on her.

LeRae hit a neck breaker off the apron through two tables. A mystery person came out again and helped LeRae climb the ladder, but Shotzi Blackheart ran through and attacked the mystery person by hitting an electric chair on a stack of chairs. Io set up a ladder next to LeRae only to push her off a ladder over the top rope crashing through and breaking a ladder. Io retained the title.

It turns out that this was a rematch from the NXT TakeOver 31 event earlier this month that saw Io successfully retain the title over LeRae.

    Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Gonzalez

    \"Rhea
    Rhea Ripley

Rhea Ripley vs. Raquel Gonzalez in a singles match took place.

At one point, Raquel caught a diving Rhea on the outside to show off her power. This was a hard-hitting affair and the first big test for Raquel. Rhea went over with her finisher.

The two stars have been feuding over the past few weeks with Gonzalez getting in Ripley’s business many times now. Ripley remains in a holding pattern and perhaps with this feud being done, she can move onto the title picture although WWE has been pushing Ember Moon since she returned at NXT TakeOver 31.

Some could say that Ripley has fallen in dramatic fashion before the COVID-19 pandemic where she was the top star in the promotion. Perhaps, WWE can get her on the right path as it doesn’t seem likely that she’s moving to the main roster.

    Haunted House of Terror Match

    \"\"

Cameron Grimes vs. Dexter Lumis in a Haunted House of Terror Match took place.

An interesting match which featured a special appearance of Michael Hayes coming out of a van. It wasn’t just one full match, but rather a cinematic contest that was spread out through the show. At one point, Grimes was stuck in a house with Lumis and Lumis went headfirst into a mirror.

Grimes then got back to the CWC and there were two actors dressed as zombies who chased Grimes into the ring where Lumis attacked him.  Grimes locked in his finisher for the win.

Grimes is a comedy guy while Lumis is supposed to be this creepy character. It\’s interesting because when you look at viewership numbers, these two wrestlers typically do low numbers. Thus, booking them in a match together will be something to follow if you’re into ratings.

A credit to WWE for at least booking them with a gimmick as a way to maybe improve curiosity from fans about it.

    Pat McAfee Forms New Faction

    \"\"

Pat McAfee made an appearance alongside NXT Tag Team Champions Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

This came after McAfee, who had lost to Adam Cole a few months ago on a TakeOver special, made his grand return in the main event of last week’s show to help Lorcan and Burch win the titles.

McAfee did a promo about how while he got beat by Cole, he made some mistakes in that match and all he could think about was beating Cole. He said that he knew he couldn’t return alone, but had to have some backup.

He bragged about the success he’s had since then. Thus, he made a call to Ridge Holland, who wanted a call. That’s why Holland attacked Cole at NXT TakeOver 31. This led to Pete Dunne and Kyle O’Reilly coming out to the ring with steel chairs. Dunne hit O’Reilly in the back with the chair.

McAfee told Kyle that they’re the new kings of NXT and it’s Undisputed.

  • AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Finals Set

Fans now know who will be in the finals of the tournament that will determine the new #1 contender to the AEW World Heavyweight Title.

The semi-finals of the tournament took place on Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT at the Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida. The pair of matches saw Wardlow vs. Hangman Page and Kenny Omega vs. Penta El Zero M.

As seen on the show, Page went over Wardlow in the opening contest while Omega beat Penta El Zero M in the headliner.

It should be noted the Penta replaced Rey Fenix in this contest as Fenix was injured in their first round match that took place. He landed badly on his shoulder and was pulled from the tournament out of medical concern as he has worked injured in the match.

The finals between Page and Omega will see to find out who will be the next in line for the AEW World Title. Some fans knew the finals in advance as the show was taped last Thursday and spoilers got out.

The AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2020, in Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place.

Tournament Finals To Take Place At AEW Full Gear

  • Eric Bischoff Appears On AEW Dynamite

Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite not only featured a special appearance by Eric Bischoff but also made Chris Jericho vs. MJF official for the upcoming Full Gear show.

Dynamite saw Inner Circle hold a Town Hall Meeting to determine if MJF could join up with the group. Various stars asked questions to figure out whether MJF could be a good fit for the group.

During this, Eric Bischoff also made a cameo to ask a couple of different questions such as how they would know the other wouldn’t attack them once in the group.

This led to Jericho throwing out the challenge for a match at Full Gear. The stipulation is that if MJF beats him then he can join the group, and MJF accepted.

AEW Full Gear: Updated Card With New Matches & Stipulations

This marked Bischoff’s second AEW appearance as he previously hosted a debate between Jericho and Orange Cassidy. This was at a time where the two AEW stars were feuding and heading into their third match, which just so happened to be a Mimosa Mayhem Match at the All Out pay-per-view event last month.

Jericho stated in a live stream that he came up with the idea to use Bischoff as well as the way he portrayed as the moderator for the segment.

  • Johnny Gargano Wins WWE NXT North American Title

Johnny Gargano is now a two-time WWE NXT North American Champion.

WWE booked Gargano vs. Damian Priest in the opening contest of Wednesday’s special NXT Halloween Havoc episode on the USA Network. Because the gimmick was determined by a spinning wheel, they worked a  Devil\’s Playground Match, which was basically a Falls Count Anywhere contest.

They wrestled all over the Capitol Wrestling Center. The finish was interesting as a mystery person dressed up as Scream hit Priest with a pipe before handing Gargano a tombstone to hit Priest with it that sent him flying off a stage and into a mini house. This allowed Gargano to win the title.

Priest won the title by winning the then-vacant title in a five-way ladder match at TakeOver XXX last month. In fact, Gargano also took part in the contest and it came down to him and Priest.

Earlier this month at NXT TakeOver 31, Priest successfully retained the NXT North American Title over Gargano.

It will be interesting to see who is revealed as the mystery person and when Priest will get a rematch for the title.

Becky Lynch Shows Off Baby Bump In Shadow Photo

  • Becky Lynch Shows Off Baby Bump In Shadow Photo

Becky Lynch decided it was time to show off the first photo of her baby bump as she’s expecting her first child with Seth Rollins.

She did so when she took to her Instagram stories after nearly six months after she announced that she’d become The Mom.

Since that time, she has been private regarding social media activity including photos of her bump. That changed on Wednesday with a photo that showed a silhouette of her torso in a gym.

This reflects that she is managing to keep in shape despite carrying another human.

    \"\"/

Earlier this month it was reported that Lynch was backstage at the Amway Center alongside Rollins for the October 16th episode of Friday Night SmackDown to visit friends, which appears to be the first time since her pregnancy announcement that she was at a WWE show.

Lynch is expected to give birth in December. Her last match came when she retained the title by defeating Shayna Baszler during night one of Wrestlemania 36 tapings.

She announced her pregnancy on a May episode of Monday Night RAW where it was also revealed that she would be vacating the Women\’s Raw Women\’s Title before handing it over to Asuka.

  • Rey Mysterio Hopes To Chase WWE Gold With Dominik

Rey Mysterio has now realized a new goal that he can achieve with his son Dominik.

The son of the former WWE Champion only started training full-time in the last year or so in the pro wrestling business, but has made a splash. WWE wasted no time in having him appear on the main roster with his father.

This had been a long time dream of the father and son duo as they wanted to share the ring together as a tag team. During an appearance on WWE’s The Bump, Mysterio is now realizing that they could go after the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles.

“There’s a lot of challenges out there for Dom and for me on SmackDown, and we’ve talked about gold, something that is really in the back of our minds. What better time for us to obtain some gold as tag teams?

I think that would be a dream that I did not have contemplated during this time. We always talked about being able to share the ring together, but when you talk about gold, it literally could be right around the corner.”

Dominik made his in-ring debut back in August against Seth Rollins at the SummerSlam pay-per-view event. Since that time, the Mysterio family has been feuding with Rollins on television.

Even though they were moved from Raw to SmackDow as part of this year’s Draft, that feud continues to play out.

  • Possible Number Of Fans That Will Be Allowed To Attend WrestleMania 37

WrestleMania 37 is expected to undergo some changes.

WWE is still listing WrestleMania 37 to take place from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, but it was reported earlier this month that WWE has plans in place to move the show to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

The NFL will be holding Super Bowl LV at Raymond James Stadium next year. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported today that the NFL is now planning for 20% capacity for the championship game. The stadium has a standard seating capacity of 65,618, and maybe a few more with temporary seating at a Super Bowl game.

So how does this impact WWE? The company usually does around the same number of fans as NFL games for stadium shows. Thus, this could be an indication as to how many fans can attend WrestleMania 37 as it could between 13,000 and 15,000 fans.

Because the world deals with the COVID-19 pandemic, things can change between the time of these two events, but they’re only a few months apart.

March 28, 2021 is the date for WrestleMania 37. WWE has yet to announce the venue change for this show but is expected to do so.

Florida has been more relaxed with its COVID-19 guidance compared to California. That’s the reason why AEW and WWE have held shows in the state since the start of the pandemic.

  • WWE RAW Viewership Stays Steady For Post-Hell In A Cell Edition (10/26)

Monday’s edition of WWE RAW averaged 1.732 million viewers with a 0.51 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This was down from last week, which did 1.777 million viewers and 0.52 demo rating.

To compare, just one year ago, RAW averaged 2.133 million viewers. This marked the post show for Sunday’s Hell in a Cell event.

WWE went up against an NFL game that aired on ESPN, which was between the Bears and Rams that had 10.501 million viewers.

Here’s the hourly viewership breakdown for Raw, courtesy of Showbuzzdaily.com:

    • Hour 1: 1.859 million, 0.54 in the 18-49 Demo
    • Hour 2: 1.752 million, 0.51 in the 18-49 Demo
    • Hour 3: 1.585 million, 0.47 in the 18-49 Demo

    SmackDown Viewership

Friday’s SmackDown averaged 881,000 viewers on FS1. This is down from the 2.124 million viewers that the show did for the previous week on FOX. This show aired on the television network because of the World Series game that aired on FOX instead and did over 8 million viewers.

SmackDown pulled in a 0.25 rating in the 18-49 demos, down from 0.60 rating as last week’s show.

SmackDown was expected to drop in viewership because FS1 is in far fewer homes than big FOX. Thus, for Friday\’s show this coming week, ratings are expected to be back to normal as it will be back on FOX.

  • Cody Rhodes Calls AEW TNT Championship The Most Important Wrestling Belt Of Last Year

Cody Rhodes has tried to make the AEW TNT Title as special as any title that the promotion has to offer. On Monday, it took things up a notch and no doubt got fans talking with a post on his Twitter account. According to the All Elite Wrestling executive, this is the most important belt in all of wrestling over the past year.

Rhodes will make his next title defense against Orange Cassidy this Wednesday night on Dynamite.

If he can get past the fan-favorite star, then he will defend it against Darby Allin at the AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event on November 7th from Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place. Rhodes was the inaugural champion before dropping it to Brodie Lee only to win it back after a brief absence from television.

  • The Rock Gets Busted Open While Working Out (Video)

The Rock prides himself on being the hardest worker in the room and that includes the gym.

However, sometimes situations can get a little out of hand and things happen. The former WWE Champion found this out the hard way while throwing around some chains in a recent training session.

The chain hit him on the side of the face and got some color. He showed off the wound in a post on Instagram. He wrote the following in the caption:

“We ain’t playin’ tiddlywinks and we ain’t reciting nursery rhymes – it’s called the #ironparadise for a reason and things get extremely intense.Threw around my 50lb chains ? for a drop set – I got lumped up and need stitches ??Taste your blood, keep training and stitch up later – rules of the house. And I can confirm my blood tastes like Teremana, calluses and BlaMoan (black and samoan) Hot Sauce????? Have a productive week, my friends – keep it light and a lil’ fun, but get after it like a MF.”

    https://www.instagram.com/p/CG0bKZslpFM/

The Rock has been tied with WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the rumor mills as of late as “The Great One” has gone on record by noting that if he were to come out of retirement then a match with his cousin at WrestleMania would be something that he’d be interested in.

Over the weekend, The Rock did the induction speech for Ken Shamrock’s Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame induction.

Rumored Matches For Survivor Series 2020

  • Randy Orton Dethrones Drew McIntyre As WWE Champion

The third match between Drew McIntyre and Randy Orton ended up serving as the main event of the WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event.

The contest was held inside of the Hell in a Cell structure. It was a long match with them using various weapons.

Orton used bolt cutters to get out of the cell only for them to climb the cell and brawl on top of it. They crawled down the cell until Orton sent him flying through the air and crashing onto the announce table. Back in the ring, McIntyre missed the claymore kick and Orton hit the RKO to win the title. Orton is now a 14-time world champion.

This feud dates back to August. McIntyre successfully retained the WWE Title over Orton at SummerSlam with a backslide.

Orton would then drop a loss to Keith Lee at Clash of Champions. So, WWE decided to have three separate singles matches with the winners of those bouts advancing to a Triple Threat Match later in an August 31st episode of RAW.

Orton beat Kevin Owens to advance to the finals where he would defeat Lee and Seth Rollins to earn a second title match. However, at Payback, McIntyre retained the WWE Title in an Ambulance Match.

The third match was set up with McIntyre wanting to get revenge on Orton, who attacked Big Show, Ric Flair, Christian, and Shawn Michaels on an episode of RAW. These legends got involved in their Payback match with Orton blaming them for costing him the title.

What are your thoughts on Randy Orton winning the WWE Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

  • Sasha Banks Wins WWE SmackDown Women’s Title

Sasha Banks didn’t come up short while trying to get revenge on Bayley

As seen at Sunday’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event in Orlando, Florida, Bayley defended the SmackDown Women’s Title against her former best friend inside of the Hell in a Cell structure.

It was a slow start and then they started using various weapons such as tables, kendo sticks, a fire extinguisher, and the cell. The finish saw Banks use a chair while putting Bayley into the Bank Statement for the win.

This snapped Bayley’s 380-day reign as champion and the first time that Banks has been the SmackDown Women’s Champion.

Last month on an episode of SmackDown after failing to reclaim the WWE Women\’s Tag Team Championship from the team of Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, the betrayal happened. Bayley turned on Banks, who was kept off television to sell the angle.

After Bayley retained her SmackDown Women\’s Title via disqualification at Clash of Champions, Banks returned to attack Bayley with a steel chair.

Time will tell whether WWE continues this feud or goes into a different direction heading into the Survivor Series pay-per-view event on November 22nd.

What are your thoughts on Sasha Banks winning the Title? Was this the right call by WWE officials? Sound off in the comment section.

  • Roman Reigns Retains Universal Title At WWE Hell In A Cell

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso brought a different intensity to their rematch.

Unlike their previous encounter, which was a singles match, WWE booked them in a Hell in a Cell I Quit Match at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event.

The match with the Universal Title on the line saw them open the show. Reigns got the early offense while talking trash. The trend of the match was Reigns dominating with Jey having moments of life only for Reigns to put him down again.

Reigns hit Uso with back-to-back drive-bys on the apron with one of them being with a steel step. Reigns attacked a referee for trying to stop the match. Reigns was about to hit Jey with the steps until Jimmy Uso talked him out of it. When Reigns put Jimmy in the guillotine choke, Jey said he quit and that was the finish.

Their first match took place last month at the WWE Clash of Champions pay-per-view event. Reigns beatdown Jey so much that Jimmy, his brother, had to come out while still injured to throw in the towel.

The following week on SmackDown, WWE set up the rematch during a celebration ceremony was held to crown Reigns as the tribal chief. When Reigns refused to be named as such because Jey did not acknowledge him, it led to this contest being made.

  • WWE Hell In A Cell: Final Card, Live Results

WWE\’s Hell in a Cell pay-per0view takes place tonight from Orlando, FL at the Thunderdome.

SEScoops will have live coverage & results of the pay-per-view starting at 6pm (Eastern). The following matches are confirmed for the event:

    • WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso – Hell in a Cell I Quit Match
    • WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. Randy Orton – Hell in a Cell Match

Reported Reason Major Angle Was Moved From RAW To Smackdown

  • Segment Caused Chaos Backstage At Friday’s WWE SmackDown

The environment backstage at Friday’s WWE SmackDown TV event was said to be chaotic.

Heading into the show, there were no matches announced, but rather a few segments. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that the reason there were no matches advertised in advance is due to the WWE creative team rewriting the show on Thursday night.

The trial segment with Otis caused things to get chaotic as the segment became the top concern and everything got delayed because of it.

Nobody backstage could understand why so much time was devoted to the show because it aired on FS1 instead of FOX. Thus, the belief just like last year is that it will have a dramatic decline in viewership as they were bumped off FOX for the World Series.

Triple H was brought in to help out with the show like he did last week.

As noted, FOX Sports 1 was supposed to air a one-off episode of Backstage following SmackDown, but things were changed at the last minute as Talking Smack took its place in the time slot.

  • Chris Jericho Touts Success Of His Le Dinner Debonair Segment With MJF

Chris Jericho and MJF received high praise for their Le Dinner Debonair segment.

The segment aired this past Wednesday on AEW Dynamite. Fans didn’t know what to expect from it going in, but the majority of fans liked it while a minority of the fanbase didn’t.

There was tension as they tried to one-up each other while ordering steaks until they started signing. Jericho took to his Twitter account where he touted the success of it:

Jericho wrote, “Just saw minute by minute ratings for #LeDinnerDebonair & I’m stoked that almost 800k checked out our song and dance! Fifth highest demo for #AEWDynamite as well. Add over a million views on Twitter & it looks like our experiment paid off! The #DemoGod wins again! @The_MJF.”

Mark Henry has made it clear that he’s willing to do one more match if it can be against The Rock.

“I’m 2-0 against The Rock,” Henry said. “I think I should give him the opportunity to get one, to get a ‘chip against me. I think if I was to come out of retirement and wrestle somebody, I would say, “Hey man. You wrestling again, huh?

You know you never beat me. Don’t that bother you a little bit? You should wanna get that ‘chip…” and see what he says. He would say, ‘Your ass is going down this time! You might as well go on and look up at the lights!’ I would have to look at the lights.”

    • Kacy Catanzaro def. Xia Li
    • Timothy Thatcher def. Anthony Greene
    • Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan def. Breezango to win NXT Tag Team Titles

Here are the takeaways from this week’s show:

    Title Match

The Undisputed Era vs. WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Breezango was supposed to take place.

If you recall, Bobby Fish & Roderick Strong beat Danny Burch & Oney Lorcan in a #1 Contender’s Match on last week’s show to earn this title match.

However, throughout the show, Fish and Strong were attacked. NXT GM William Regal held a backstage meeting with Kyle O\’Reilly telling him that he has to book a title match tonight because it\’s advertised, but O’Reilly decided not to go at it alone. Thus, Lorcan and Burch agreed to take their spots.

As expected, this title match was solid with all of the stars working well together. The finish saw a mystery man interfere that allowed Lorcan and Burch to win the NXT Tag Team Titles.

Post-match, McAfee revealed himself as the mystery man. He mocked The Undisputed Era, which appears to continue his feud with Adam Cole, to close the show.

    Six-Man Tag Team Match

Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza) faced off against Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, Ashante “Thee” Adonis and Jake Atlas.

WWE has started to add new stars to the feud between Scott and Legado del Fantasma. The cruiserweight division on NXT has only involved Escobar and Scott so why not just throwing them all together in a match again.

While it seems like a replay of an endless matches, WWE is evolving this storyline yet it does seem that they will need to make a decision as to whether to have Scott finally dethroned Escobar as Cruiserweight Champion or just move on. It seems like it’s been months that these guys have been feuding.

The heels went over in the contest in what turned out to be a wild contest.

    Triple Threat Match

    \"Tommaso

Tommaso Ciampa, Kushida, and Velveteen Dream battled in a Triple Threat Match. This was the biggest match to be advertised along with the title match.

The three stars have been feuding with each other for the past few weeks. In fact, Dream made his return to NXT TV and started a rivalry with Kushida, who went over in their match at NXT TakeOver 31.

It seems as if Ciampa doesn’t have major plans for Ciampa to go after a title so he was booked into this feud, which is fine. Not only does it give him the chance to continue to be showcased as a top heel, but also gives some shine to the rest of the stars.

The match was good and that was expected given the quality of work these guys have. It started out as a brawl only to turn into a near fall fest near the finish. Kushida got the win in the opener.

    Bronson Reed Smashes

    \"\"

Bronson Reed took on Austin Theory in a singles match. While Theory got some offense, it was mostly a squash match with Reed going over.

After the match, Theory took the microphone and said that he is the future of NXT and WWE. He said that he’s just 23 and has done in this business more than Reed has in his 15 years of experience.

He said that he wasn’t going anymore until he beats him. A second match began only for Reed to hit a samoan drop for the win. A second straight win.

WWE does realize that they don’t have to job out Theory literally on every episode to get him over? He’s done jobs since returning to NXT. WWE did a storyline where theory quit WWE after the second match.

  • Jon Moxley vs. Eddie Kingston Set For AEW Full Gear

All Elite Wrestling has announced the main event for their upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view.

During Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, it was confirmed that Jon Moxley will put his AEW World Championship on the line in his next defense against Eddie Kingston. To add to the bad blood, it will be an I Quit Match.

The match booking comes after Kingston attacked Moxley on last week’s episode of Dynamite. Moxley had successfully retained the World Heavyweight Title against Lance Archer.

AEW ended the show with Kingston explaining his actions only for him to continue it on this week’s show. He basically explained that his problem with Moxley comes down to Moxley leaving him behind so he could go work for a sports entertainment company, which is WWE. He noted that he never quit when he lost to Moxley a couple of weeks ago on Dynamite.

AEW announcer Jim Ross mentioned how it was Moxley who demanded to defend his title against Kingston at the pay-per-view.

The AEW Full Gear pay-per-view event will take place on Saturday, November 7, 2020, at the Jacksonville, Florida at Daily’s Place and has already sold out.

  • Joey Janela Pulled From AEW Dynamite Due To COVID-19 Concerns

Joey Janela was scheduled to work this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, but was pulled at the last minute.

About an hour before the show went live on TNT, All Elite Wrestling announced in a post on social media that Janela had been removed from his scheduled bout against Kenny Omega due to COVID-19 concerns.

AEW issued the following statement on the situation:

“AEW and Joey Janela learned today that he had exposure to a known COVID-19 positive person at an independent show. For that reason we are pulling him until such time as he is cleared to return consistent with our protocols.”

This bout was part of several planned matches as part of the World Title Eliminator tournament. AEW later announced that Janela would be replaced by Sony Kiss in this contest.

Penta El Zero M vs. Rey Fenix, Colt Cabana vs. Hangman Page, and Wardlow vs. Jungle Boy were also part of the first round matches on this show.

The news comes after Janela faced AJ Gray at Game Changer Wrestling\’s The Last Resort show in Silverado, California this past Saturday.

Also on Wednesday, Gray announced that he tested positive for COVID-19. Gray wrote that his positive COVID-19 test was taken on Monday.
