  • Dana White Rules Out Possible UFC Return For Ronda Rousey

For fans hoping to see Ronda Rousey make a return to the UFC, Dana White has some bad news for you.

The UFC President has shot down the possibility of the former UFC Bantamweight Champion ever returning to the Octagon. He did so as he spoke with the media ahead of Saturday’s UFC 260 pay-per-view event.

While talking about the return of Meisha Tate, who is bitter rivals with Rousey and has lost to her on a few different occasions, White mentioned he recently had a telephone conversation with Rousey. However, they didn’t talk about her MMA return.

“Don’t even f***ing start you guys,” said White [h/t/ The Sun]. “Yesterday about lots of different things, not this, but yes we talked yesterday. [She is] Absolutely, positively not coming back ever.”

Rousey lost the UFC title to Holly Holm and then lost her final UFC fight against Amanda Nunes in December 2016 where she lost in the first round by knockout.

She joined WWE in 2018 where she became a top star for the company and became Raw Women’s champion. She worked her last match in WWE against Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 35. Rousey went on hiatus to start a family. Her contract with WWE expires in April.

  • Edge’s Appearance Was A Factor In Vince McMahon Changing WrestleMania 37 Plans

It appears that the appearance of Edge may have played a factor in WWE changing WrestleMania 37 plans.

Of course, the WWE Hall of Famer is slated to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Title at WrestleMania 37. However, the company plans to add Daniel Bryan to the bout and make it a three-way match. This is the reason why Edge turned heel at Fastlane that featured him hitting double spears to Reigns and Bryan, which allowed Reigns to retain the title.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that a source within WWE noted the issue of Edge’s age, not so much the number but the look of his age, was a concerning point for Vince McMahon.

The source stated Edge “was looking older each week” on WWE TV since returning in January. The WWE Chairman and CEO decided to make a change to the match partially because of Edge’s look in addition to wanting to shake-up things.

McMahon has made various changes to plans for WrestleMania. The feeling then was that Bryan would be the babyface.

WWE WrestleMania 37 takes place on Saturday, April 10th, and Sunday, April 11, 2021 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The match will take place on the second night.

    \"\"

Karrion Kross vs. Oney Lorcan/Tag Team Titles Update

The NXT Tag Team Titles have been declared vacant as Danny Burch suffered a separated shoulder last week while defending them with Oney Lorcan against Karrion Kross and NXT Champion Finn Balor.

On this show, WWE gave an update on the titles by noting MSK vs. Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Legado del Fantasma will take place at NXT TakeOver: Stand and Deliver to crown new champions.

Kross also battled Lorcan in a singles match. This was set up by Lorcan blaming Kross for the injury and Lorcan told Regal to give him a match against Kross. As expected, Kross dominated the majority of it. WWE did give Oney a moment of offense, but Kross put an end to it with the forearm shot.

    https://twitter.com/WWENXT/status/1374887794187833346

Balor is defending his NXT Championship against Kross at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night two on Thursday, April 8. Post-match, Balor came out for a promo where he said that Kross showed him his weakness last week. Kross fights with emotions while he doesn’t.

    LA Knight vs. Bronson Reed

    \"\"

LA Knight vs. Bronson Reed in a singles match took place.

This match was set up by a message that was sent to NXT General Manager William Regal. On Tuesday night, it happened as Knight posted a video telling Regal that he wants a match against Reed, which led to Reed responding to it and agreeing to the match.

The two have been feuding as of late and this was Knight’s second match in NXT as last week\’s episode, Knight made his NXT in-ring debut by defeating August Grey. During it, Reed came out with Knight’s jacket and ripped it.

The match didn’t last long as Reed went over with a splash off the top rope. It was an interesting decision since Knight just made his debut.

    Non-Title Match

    \"\"

NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin vs. Kushida in a non-title match took place. This match was booked after Kushida answered an open challenge that was issued by Devlin.

Of course,  Devlin and Santos Escobar are facing off in a title unification match as they are both listed as the Cruiserweight Champion at TakeOver: Stand & Deliver night two on Thursday, April 8.

The match served as the main event of the show. Devlin got him with a quick roll-up. A very fun match. Post-match, Devlin, and Santos had a staredown. Shawn Michaels walked out to the ring and pulled out a ladder. Thus, it will be a ladder match at TakeOver.

    WALTER Smashes

    \"\"

NXT UK Champion WALTER vs. Drake Maverick in a non-title match was booked.

WALTER returned to NXT for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began last week to lay out Tommaso Ciampa.

On Tuesday, WWE released a video of Maverick looking for Killian Dain and barged into Imperium\’s locker room questioning them. This led to WALTER taking out a weapon of the hands of Maverick and asked who he thought he was. The top NXT UK Champion told Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner that he\’ll take care of the problem with Maverick on Wednesday\’s NXT.

The match was very short as WALTER hit a few strikes, a powerslam and that was a wrap. Post-match, Ciampa came out and said that the NXT UK Title intrigues him. He challenged WALTER to a title match at TakeOver. WALTER was about to walk out, but a brawl and beatdown happened with WALTER standing tall.

    Title Match

    \"\"

Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon made their first defense of the NXT Women\’s Tag Team titles against The Robert Stone Brand\’s Aliyah & Mercedes Martinez. Originally, Jessi Kamea was supposed to be part of this match, but was pulled due to injury.

The match was short yet fun with Aliyah taking the pinfall.

Two weeks ago, Blackheart & Moon defeated Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez to become the second-ever NXT Women\’s Tag Team Champions. This came after Kai & Gonzalez were awarded the newly created NXT Women\’s Tag Team Titles.

    Tag Team Match

    \"\"

Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez vs. NXT Women\’s Champion Io Shirai & Zoey Stark in a tag team bout took place.

This match started the show. It was a solid back and forth affair. Starks sold through the majority of the bout. Raquel hit her finisher to Starks for the win. Post-match, Raquel slammed Io onto the announce table.

Just two weeks ago, Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon defeated Kai & Gonzalez to become the second-ever NXT Women\’s Tag Team Champions. Kai & Gonzalez were awarded the newly created NXT Women\’s Tag Team Titles on this same show, but that didn’t last for long.

Kai & Gonzalez became the champs as they were the winners of the inaugural Women\’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic by defeating Blackheart & Moon in the finals of the tournament. Shirai defends her NXT Women\’s Championship against Gonzalez at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

    Please Appear In Regal’s Presence

    \"\"

William Regal was demanding that Adam Cole and Kyle O\’Reilly appear so he could talk with them. Last week, Regal said he had a solution to Cole and O\’Reilly\’s problems as there was an angle on NXT where police got involved after O\’Reilly tried to run Cole off the road.

Regal was out with security to have Kyle and Cole sign a contract for the second night of TakeOver. The match will see NXT not be accountable for the damage that they suffer. Both men signed it.

Cole cut a promo about how Kyle lost sight of what Undisputed Era was all about. It wasn’t about friendship, but rather success and Kyle tried to win the NXT Title, which is his. Cole said he was the one who is in that spot, sold the merch, and the leader of UE. He said without him, Kyle is nothing.

Kyle said that they will always have heat with the locker room because of their past actions. He said that he has grown up and moved past the BS. Kyle said he sold his sold for UE and he wants it back. He said Cole used his best friends to get to where he is and he’s not surprised. Kyle said that no one will be surprised when he beats Cole. They had to be separated by security to end the show.

  • Several Matches Announced For NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver

A few new matches have been announced for the upcoming WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver on Wednesday, April 7th (airing on USA Network) and Thursday, April 8th (Peacock broadcast).

On Wednesday’s episode of WWE NXT TV, WWE had General Manager William Regal demand that Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly make their way out to the stage. This is where it was announced that they would square off in a match at this upcoming TakeOver special. NXT won\’t be accountable for whatever happens to these men.

Last week, Regal said he had a solution to Cole and O\’Reilly\’s problems as there was an angle on NXT where police got involved after O\’Reilly tried to run Cole off the road.

Also announced for the show is MSK vs. Grizzled Young Veterans vs. Legado del Fantasma to crown the new NXT Tag Team Champions and  WWE NXT UK Champion WALTER vs. Tommaso Ciampa.

  • Christian Cage’s First AEW Match Announced

Christian Cage’s AEW debut match is set.

During Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling did a segment where Cage was confronted by SCU member Frankie Kazarian, who asked Cage when the “work” portion of his catchphrase was going to become a reality. This is when Cage told him that he would wrestle next week, but didn’t have an opponent.

This led to Kaz offering to fill that role and the match was booked. This will be Cage’s first singles bout since his retirement years ago. Kaz told him to check out Monday’s AEW Dark: Elevation as he has a match set for the show. It’s possible Cage could appear on that program to further build this upcoming match.

AEW has announced a few other matches for this show such as AEW World Heavyweight Champion Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers vs. Lucha Brothers and Laredo Kid in a six-man tag team match

Heading into Wednesday’s AEW dynamite,  Brandi Rhodes stated that she had a surprise to share on the show. It led to the reveal that she and Cody Rhodes have a reality TV show coming to TNT. No word yet on when the show will premiere.

Their show is titled ‘Rhodes To The Top. As seen below, a promotional video shows footage of Cody and Brandi outside the ring with fellow AEW talents, Dustin Rhodes sitting with AEW President Tony Khan in Gorilla Position and more.

Each 30-minute episode of Rhodes To The Top will take viewers inside the lives of Cody and Brandi as they navigate their growing family while building AEW’s global wrestling empire.

Sam Linsky, Co-Head of Scripted for TBS, TNT and truTV, says, “I’ve witnessed firsthand the passion and dedication that Cody and Brandi put into every facet  of their life and know how much that plays an instrumental role in the success and expansion of AEW. Now the world will get  an inside look at how they balance their personal wrestling careers, their training center, and  their executive roles at AEW as they venture into one of the most intimidating chapters of life, parenthood.”

    Cody & Brandi Comment

“Since the late 1960s, the Rhodes family has been in one spotlight or another,” said Cody and Brandi Rhodes. “People think they know us, but this show is the first true look behind the  curtain and beyond the ring. They’ll see us fail and succeed, but most importantly, they’ll see  us bet on ourselves as we travel the Rhodes to the top.”

“I’m thrilled to expand AEW’s relationship with WarnerMedia and TNT, and Rhodes To The Top will represent a new outlet in which our fans can further connect with characters they already love, and new viewers can discover these personalities for the first time,” said Tony Khan,  Founder, CEO, GM & Head of Creative of AEW. “With our flagship show Dynamite and now Rhodes To The Top, in addition to our third hour of wrestling programming coming to TNT later  this year, 2021 will be a historic year for AEW and our partnership with WarnerMedia.”

  • AEW Sent A Ring To Sting’s House Ahead Of His Return

Sting signed with AEW in December and as soon as the ink had dried on the contract, he started looking at the possibility of a return to the ring at some point.

It happened when he worked his first match since 2015 where he teamed with Darby Allin to battle Ricky Starks & Brian Cage in a cinematic street fight at AEW Revolution.

Speaking to The Doctor Chris Mueller of Bleacher Report, Sting looked back on his comeback. He noted that after being away from the ring for five years, he had to knock the dust off.

\”Tony Khan asked me if I wanted a ring sent to my house and thankfully, I have a barn that is insulated with climate control. We put the ring in there, and I had to get used to running the ropes again, and it was an eye-opener for me. It was a challenge. I didn\’t recover as quick as I used to. It was grueling. I had a lot of work to get my cardio ready to go and get into good physical condition. It was tougher than it\’s ever been but I got there.”

He noted that it’s hard for him to not plug himself in creatively on certain aspects as he would speak up and give his take, but praised Allin for having a mind for the wrestling business and cinematography.

Sting also talked about the experience of filming a cinematic match.

\”The cinematic was fun. I would like to do more of those for sure, but I came out of it in shambles. It took its toll on me. It was two nights of filming and that was pretty tough. It can be taxing on the body especially at my age. It was 12 hours instead of being in the ring for 30-40 minutes. I love filming. I have done movies and TV, and I always have fun with that stuff. The tough part was all of the hours and the recovery time.\”

There’s no word yet on when Sting plans to work another match under the AEW banner.

  • AEW Announces Date For Their First-Ever House Show

On Wednesday night before AEW Dynamite went live on TNT, AEW President Tony Khan came out for his usual promo to thank the fans for attending the show and reminding them not to swear. He also made an interesting announcement.

Khan told the fans in attendance about plans for their first house show. This is where he informed them that the promotion will be running a house show at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, FL on April 9.

Interestingly enough, this live event will be taking place during the same week as WrestleMania 37, which just so happens to be in Tampa. Thus, for those fans planning to attend WrestleMania, they can come see AEW in person if they drive 3 hours to Jacksonville. Tickets go on-sale this Monday.

As it stands right now, there’s no word yet on which wrestlers will be appearing at the house show. AEW will air a live Dynamite on April 7th then tape the following week’s episode that Thursday and then run the house show. Thus, if fans really wanted to see a ton of AEW action, they have the chance to witness three straight nights of it.

Jim Ross has stated in the past that AEW did have plans to start running house shows last year but those plans were delayed because of the pandemic.

  • WWE Officially Announces Bad Bunny’s WrestleMania 37 Match

Bad Bunny’s match has been announced for the upcoming WWE WrestleMania 37 PPV.

On Monday’s episode of Raw, WWE had The Miz challenged the rapper to a match at the event.

This rivalry dates back to the Royal Rumble. Bunny accepted the challenge after hitting a guitar strike of his own, which was a play on Miz attacking Bunny a few weeks ago.

It was originally reported WWE had planned for Bunny to team up with Damien Priest to take on Miz and John Morrison. Clearly, plans changed. It should be noted that Priest will be in Bunny’s corner while Morison will be in the corner of Miz.

WWE presents WrestleMania 37 on Saturday, April 10th, and Sunday, April 11, 2021 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida that will air on Peacock. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. Here is the updated card:

    • WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair

  • Rhea Ripley Challenges Asuka To Title Match At WrestleMania 37

Rhea Ripley has ended speculation as to what she would be doing when she was called up to the main roster.

The former WWE NXT Women’s Champion did so during Monday’s episode of Raw. It happened after Asuka had beaten Peyton Royce. This led to Ripley coming out to the ring and challenging Asuka for the strap at WrestleMania 37.

It was previously reported by PWinsider.com that she was headed to the main roster soon and then WWE started airing hype videos for her debut. Ripley’s Last Woman Standing match loss to Raquel Gonzalez at NXT New Year’s Evil special was planned to be her final appearance for the brand. Dave Meltzer later reported that her moving to the main roster was imminent.

Ripley held the NXT Women\’s Championship once during her time in the developmental system after winning the title from Shayna Baszler in December 2019.

Ripley made some main roster appearances in the build-up to WrestleMania 36 last year during her feud with Charlotte Flair.

WWE presents WrestleMania 37 on Saturday, April 10th, and Sunday, April 11, 2021 from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida that will air on Peacock. WWE will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks.

  • WWE ThunderDome Residency At Tropicana Field Ends Before WrestleMania, TV Tapings Schedule

It’s been previously reported that WWE was likely moving out of the Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida in April and that is happening.

The reason is due to the Tampa Bay Rays needing to get their home field back from WWE just in time for the regular MLB season to start.

Spectrum Sports 360\’s Jon Alba reported Monday that he was told WWE\’s ThunderDome residency at Tropicana Field will end with the Friday, April 2nd SmackDown.

The Rays\’ first home game is set for Friday, April 9th. Per the report, the conversion back to a baseball facility has already begun in some parts of the park.

Due to this, the go-home editions of Raw and Friday Night SmackDown heading into WrestleMania 37 will be taped before they depart from the stadium, according to POST Wrestling.

The taped Raw will air on Monday, April 5 and the taped episode of SmackDown will air Friday, April 9.

Fightful Select previously reported the Hall of Fame will be taped over two days – the week prior on Tuesday & Thursday – at Tropicana Field before the end of WWE’s residency.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will air on Peacock on Tuesday, April 6. WrestleMania takes place on April 10th and April 11th.

  • Charlotte Flair Confirms She Has Tested Positive For COVID-19

There has been a lot of speculation among fans regarding the status of Charlotte Flair as she disappeared from WWE television.

It turns out the former WWE Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion tested positive for COVID-19. She shared the news in a statement on her Twitter account by writing the following:

“I know everyone has been wondering where I have been. I tested positive for COVID and have been home resting Folded hands. Thank you everyone for your love.”

This would explain why she is not backstage at Raw this week. As it stands right now, it’s still not clear why she was pulled from WrestleMania 37 ads over the weekend. She had been rumored to challenge Asuka for the Raw Women’s Title at the biggest event of the year for the company next month.

Before this announcement, the word that was going around in WWE was that her absence from TV in the few weeks had nothing to do with the issues between WWE and Andrade, who was granted his release on Sunday.

Clearly, there’s no word yet on when she’ll be back nor if this will impact her plans at WrestleMania.

  • Randy Orton On His WWE Position: “I’ll Have That Mother F–king Spot As Long As I Want It”

Randy Orton has been a top star in WWE since winning the World Heavyweight Title in the main event of the 2004 SummerSlam pay-per-view event.

He’s been in that spot despite any setbacks that he’s created in his way and will likely be in that position until he walks away from the business. On late Sunday night after being beaten by Alexa Bliss at Fastlane, he gave credit is due.

A fan sent out a tweet about how Orton mentioned WWE producer Shane Helms during his new Broken Skull Sessions interview with Steve Austin for taking the RKO in the early days of his career. Helms responded to that tweet by writing, “Yup. @RandyOrton is one of those rare people in this biz that actually give credit where it’s due.

Orton responded to Helms and made it known that he will have his spot in WWE as long as he wants to have it.

“I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for many different people. I’ll never forget that. But I know, and they know. No problem giving credit where credit is due. I have a spot. I’ll have that MOTHER F–KING spot as long as I want it. But make no mistake, I didn’t get here by myself.”

“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt returned with a new look at Fastlane to attack Orton, which is likely leading to a match between them at WrestleMania 37.

  • Thea Trinidad Praises Andrade Following His WWE Departure

Andrade requested his release from WWE earlier this month, but at first, it was denied. Six days later, WWE announced in a statement posted on their website Sunday evening that he had been released.

Andrade later took to Twitter to issue a thank you statement to fans in addition to influential people such as Paul Heyman, Triple H, and William Regal.

The former WWE United States Champion had been paired with Thea Trinidad, better known as Zelina Vega, during the majority of his time with WWE. They found success in NXT and on the main roster.

Thea took to Twitter this afternoon to praise Andrade for his work and the person that he is by writing the following:

“Since the moment I met you, I knew that you not only were an amazing person but also one of the most talented in this business and you’d be successful no matter what. I’m so grateful to know you, share these memories and have a brother for life. Love you hermano #TranquiloForLife.”

Andrade is not under a 90-day non-compete clause following his WWE departure. Thus, he’s free and clear to sign with any promotion that he wants to do business with. Vega is also a free agent after being released by the company last year.

  • Roman Reigns Retains WWE Universal Title At Fastlane

Roman Reigns put his WWE Universal Title up for grabs against Daniel Bryan at the Fastlane pay-per-view event on Sunday night.

The match had Edge as the Special Guest Enforcer. It featured Bryan going for quick takedowns in the early going and submission attempts while Reigns had a more brawling style. Reigns dominated the majority of the match while Bryan continued to make comebacks that were mostly failures. Minutes passed by and Bryan made his comeback that started by sending Reigns into the ring post and connecting with some flying knee strikes.

Near the end, Bryan knocked out the referee with a running knee, which allowed Edge to be inserted in the match and counted the pin attempt, but it was at two. Jey Uso took out Edge and Bryan with superkicks. Bryan eventually took out Jey with some chair shots.

Bryan accidentally hit Edge with a chair so when Bryan later had Reigns in the Yes Lock, Edge took them both out with a chair and yelled \’this is his.\’ Reigns pinned Bryan right away for the win.

Last month at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view event, Bryan beat Kevin Owens, Jey Uso, King Corbin, and Sami Zayn in the gimmick match to earn the right to become the #1 contender for the title. Reigns quickly beat him immediately after the match.

WWE then had Bryan feud with Jey where they worked a singles match then a Steel Cage match with Bryan ultimately being given his rematch against “The Big Dog.”

Edge beat Jey Uso on the March 19th edition of SmackDown to become the Special Guest Enforcer, which marked the first match on the blue brand for the WWE Hall of Famer in over a decade. Edge will defend the Universal Title against Edge at WrestleMania 37.

  • The Fiend Returns With New Look At WWE Fastlane

After being away for months, Bray Wyatt has made his return to WWE programming.

He did so when he interfered in the Randy Orton vs. Alexa Bliss match at Fastlane. Orton started coughing up the black substance like he had been before the match started. After a few moments of pyro, a fireball, and more, The Fiend’s hand came through the mat and grabbed Orton’s leg.

The Fiend came out, which led to Bliss hitting a dropkick to Orton, and The Fiend connected with Sister Abigail. This allowed Bliss to get the win. He has a new mask and attire that is in black.

Wyatt hadn’t been seen since the December TLC pay-per-view event when he worked the first-ever Firefly Inferno Match. WWE TLC was the 5th singles match between Orton and Wyatt on WWE programming. The contest was not shot in a cinematic way, but rather in the arena and taped earlier in the day due to the danger of the bout. The fire was outside of the barricade.

The finish saw Orton push The Fiend into the fire back first while he was in a chokehold. This led to Orton getting into the ring and Fiend rushed him so Orton hit him with an RKO. The show closed with Orton pouring gasoline on Wyatt then set it on fire. They used a dummy made to look like Wyatt to set on fire.

Since that time, WWE has continued it with weird mind tricks with Orton and having him cough up a black substance in addition to him feuding with Alexa Bliss.

  • Big E Retains WWE Intercontinental Title At Fastlane

Apollo Crews challenged Big E for the Intercontinental Title at the WWE Fastlane pay-per-view event from Tropicana Field.

Big E beat him down in the early going including a spear through the ropes and some splashes on the apron. He was doing so while talking trash. Crews made his comeback.

They went for a small package roll up and it was botched as Big E and Crews clearly had their shoulders down, but the referee said Big E was the winner. Post-match, Crews laid out Big E. WWE didn’t air a replay of the finish.

    https://twitter.com/GMS_WWE/status/1373781247672123394

Four weeks ago, Big E was stretchered out as part of an angle where Crews attacked him with the steel steps. This came after Big E had told Crews that he had already gotten enough chances for a title match.

Two weeks ago, Big E returned to SmackDown where he called out Crews and agreed to give him the title match. When Crews wouldn’t come down to the ring, Big E did an open challenge and beat Zayn.  After the match, Crews beat Big E down. After the show, Crews stated that he doesn’t cater to Big E and said he would face him at Fastlane.

  • NWA Back For The Attack PPV Results

The NWA Back For The Attack pay-per-view event is in the books and what a show it was.

The match had a stipulation where the winner will become the special guest enforcer for the Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan Universal Championship match at the Fastlane pay-per-view event.

WWE set up this contest last week on SmackDown during a contract signing for Reigns and Bryan\’s Universal Championship match at Fastlane. Reigns stated that he wasn’t up for the match, but then Bryan taunted him, which changed Reigns’ mind about it.

Bryan stated that he would tap out Reigns just like he did Jey in their match a few weeks ago. This led to Uso getting upset and threw out the idea of him being the special enforcer for Reigns vs. Bryan at Fastlane.

Edge came out and proposed a match between him and Uso to determine the special enforcer, which was signed off by Adam Pearce. A brawl broke out with Edge and Bryan clearing the ring, but when Edge shoved Bryan out of the way, Bryan connected with a running knee strike.

WWE presents the Fastlane pay-per-view event on Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida that will air on the WWE Network and Peacock.

  • WWE 205 Live Wrestler To Undergo Surgery

WWE NXT/205 Live wrestler Curt Stallion is currently on the shelf with a wrist injury. As a result, he will need to undergo surgery.

He took to his Facebook account to announce that while training last week, he fractured his left wrist. On Thursday, he found out he will undergo his first surgery to put plates and screws in next Wednesday. He wrote the following:

“I’ve never had a ‘comeback’ before because I never left. Against the better judgement of those much wiser than myself, I’ve yet to miss a booking in my entire career because of an injury. That is until now. Last week whilst training, I fractured virtually every bone in my left wrist. With that said, I found out yesterday I will be having my first ever surgery to put in plates and screws this following Wednesday.

“I wasn’t going to say anything about this, but the information belongs to y’all just as much as it does to me. Thanks for the continued support. The best is yet to come, I promise. #TheLoneStar”

He has worked some NXT shows but usually works WWE 205 Live. It’s common for new or unused NXT stars to work the cruiserweight show.

He most notably lost to NXT Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar in a title match on the February 3rd edition of NXT. He last worked a match on the March 12th episode of 205 Live when he and Mansoor defeated The Bollywood Boyz.

  • Drew McIntyre Names WWE Star That Has Been Due For A Push

Drew McIntyre is one of the top stars in WWE right now, but he has been keeping an eye on other stars in the company.

The former WWE Champion recently spoke with Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report. This is where he mentioned he would pick Cesaro as the WWE Superstar he’d like to see pushed to the main event next.

“We’re watching it right now. I think everyone and their dog have been saying Cesaro [is due for a push] for about five years, and it’s true,” McIntyre said. “The fact of the matter is I’ve never been in the ring and had a match with him. I can just tell watching him. Usually, you can only tell how good someone is when you get in with them. If I got in with him, that would be so much fun.

McIntyre also talked about a possible match with Cesaro in addition to Cesaro’s current feud with Seth Rollins on SmackDown. He noted that he’s excited to see where they’re going to go.

He thinks with the right build and presentation, Cesaro can highlight his strengths and hopes it can lead to him to break into the next level and finally have a match with McIntyre.”

McIntyre will be battling Sheamus for the third time in recent memory at this Sunday’s Fastlane pay-per-view event.
