Sheamus is back in the ring. The former world champion returned to the WWE Performance Center recently for ring work, marking the clearest sign yet that his recovery from December shoulder surgery is progressing toward an in-ring comeback.
Sheamus shared photos from the training session on social media, captioning the post, “A fun day.” It is the first public evidence of active ring work since he went under the knife, going beyond the rehab phase fans have seen to this point.

Sheamus has been sidelined since undergoing shoulder surgery in December. His last match took place on the November 17 episode of WWE Raw, where he teamed with John Cena and Rey Mysterio in a winning effort against The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio, Finn Balor, and JD McDonagh.
The injury also cost Sheamus a spot in the Last Time Is Now tournament. The Miz stepped in as his replacement as the field moved toward its semi-finals.
No timeline for an in-ring return has been announced, but seeing Sheamus back at the Performance Center training is the most encouraging signal so far that a comeback is on the horizon.
