WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns is set to appear on Monday’s edition of WWE Raw from Laredo, Texas. WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce has announced that ‘OTC’ will address Jacob Fatu’s World Heavyweight Championship challenge.
Fatu issued the challenge for Backlash following recent tensions between the two superstars. Reigns’ response will set the stage for the upcoming premium live event and could have major implications for the World Heavyweight Championship picture heading into the spring.
“I can confirm the OTC Roman Reigns will make his decision about Jacob Fatu’s challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship at Backlash,” Pearce said.
Seth Rollins is will kick off the broadcast. Joe Hendry is scheduled to host his first Raw concert as an official member of the red brand’s roster, and Becky Lynch has also been announced to appear.
Penta vs. Rusev Added to Raw
Pearce also confirmed a singles match between Penta and Rusev for Monday night. The bout adds another high-profile contest to the card as both wrestlers look to build momentum on the flagship show.
A tag team match will also take place, with Bayley and Lyra Valkyria teaming up against Raquel Rodriguez and a partner to be announced. The women’s division continues to heat up as WWE builds toward its next major event cycle.
